Review of Four Five Six – A Promising Newcomer with Old Austin Soul
Just stopped into Four Five Six, one of East Austin’s newest bars, and I have to say—it’s already showing serious promise. Tucked into a low-key stretch with an easygoing vibe, this spot delivers that rare old Austin charm that’s getting harder to find these days. The space feels warm, unfussy, and authentic, like the kind of place you'd want to become your neighborhood go-to.
What really stands out right now are the happy hour deals—they’re generous, well-priced, and a great way to ease into the evening. Whether you’re sipping a beer on the patio or chatting up the friendly staff inside, it’s easy on the wallet and big on atmosphere.
The cocktail menu isn’t available just yet, but it’s in the works and expected soon. Until then, the bar is leaning into approachable pours and laid-back service, and that’s part of the charm for now.
All in all, this place has serious potential. It’s fresh, full of character, and worth supporting while they find their rhythm. If you’re into discovering bars before they blow up, this one’s for you.
