The hotel has some areas for improvement, but one staff member truly stood out. • Facilities: ◦ Lobby: Compact in size. ◦ Breakfast: Simple spread—manageable for a day or two, but limited variety. ◦ Guest room: Approximately 25 sqm, which feels quite small. It only has a 1.5m queen bed and a shower (no bathtub). • Service: During our 3-night stay, it was clear the hotel was understaffed. There were minor issues with housekeeping and coordination between departments. However, our experience at the restaurant was excellent, thanks to Elaine—one of the staff members who speaks Chinese. She was warm and attentive, promptly addressing our dining feedback and listening to our concerns about the stay, which she passed along to the team. Her personalized touches made all the difference: she offered chocolate drinks to our kids, checked if we wanted noodles, and asked how we preferred our eggs cooked. Even with the simple breakfast options, her care made the meal feel special. A mixed stay overall, but Elaine’s service left a great impression.

I have stayed here for business several times over the last year. It’s a mid-tier business-oriented hotel with smaller but decent rooms and the “bathroom in a glass box” design that was briefly chic a decade ago. Although pitching itself as a premium property, in fact the Four Points itself has no amenities at all (no restaurant, no minibar, no in-room dining) - all of this is provided from the affiliated Westin hotel next door. Meh, I guess, but at the price point I’d expect these things on site. There are two modest issues - the hot water is consistently adequate at best, you have to set the tap to full hot and even then it’s just ok. And the wifi is appalling - to get the best out of it you have to join Marriot Bonvoy but even then the speed and bandwidth are inadequate for streaming or using a business VLAN. There is one MAJOR issue - noise. Within the property, noise from the corridors easily penetrates the flimsy room doors. You will know whenever the lift arrives or someone walks past your door. But worse than that, if you are in a room facing Mary St, you will be kept awake by the Cross City Rail works directly across the street. They work 24/7 with massive industrial equipment, cranes, tunnelling machines and heavy vehicles coming and going. I think they pay a guy to bang on a girder with a 12” shifter all night. I have previously stayed in rooms at the back of the property and it’s not so bad there, but in this visit I’m directly fronting the street and I have not slept a wink.

Here for a 6 night stay to visit Brisbane and surrounds. As a Gold Elite member, I was given a corner room on a high floor away from all the current construction work at the other end. So we are spared the noise. On this 1st afternoon, Ben the tech guy was very helpful and friendly in helping us to connect our streaming device into the TV hdmi socket. Rather disappointed, however, with the fact that there is no proper coffee machine (like Nespresso) in the room for a 4-star Marriott-Bonvoy hotel. Only a kettle and instant coffee are provided. First of many Marriott-Bonvoy hotels we've stayed at offering just a kettle and instant coffee. Yes, very disappointing. Other that that, room is adequate and clean enough. Need to get house-keeping to clean the sink tomorrow so it can drain properly. Concierge personnel also courteous and friendly. Lots of restaurants around and walking tracks to enjoy the Brisbane River.

It’s a bit shabby and dated. I was keen to go there but wouldn’t go back until they make it nicer. So much accommodation is nearby that’s nicer for the same price. Staff were excellent and they helped with getting me a robe and blanket. Both were old but at least I was warm. Room service food was excellent - although no plates - eating from a box with bamboo cutlery. No construction noise and I appreciated that.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience during my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted the comfort and enjoyment of our visit: 1. Room Odor: Upon first entry, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell—reminiscent of an old motel—which was extremely off-putting. 2. Living Area TV: The television in the living area was not functioning when we arrived. Although this was later resolved after I contacted the front desk, it should have been checked before our arrival. 3. Heater Not Working: The room’s heater was non-functional, and as a result, we were unable to sleep properly due to the cold. This was particularly unacceptable during winter conditions. 4. Restroom Odor: The bathroom had a persistent and unpleasant odor, similar to a stool smell, which even my children found intolerable. 5. Hair Dryer: The hair dryer emitted a burnt smell when used, which raised safety concerns and rendered it unusable. We have been traveling for the past week and previously stayed at The Langham Gold Coast and The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne, both of which offered excellent service and room conditions. Sadly, our experience at your property has been the complete opposite and left us extremely disappointed. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues, not just for us, but for future guests. I would appreciate an appropriate response and gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused.

I recently stayed at Four Points by Sheraton and overall had a pleasant experience. My room was on level 27, but unfortunately, the window faced another building, so there wasn’t much of a view. That said, the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The highlight for me was the breakfast buffet — a generous spread of both warm and cold options, with everything from eggs and sausages to fresh fruit and pastries. It was reasonably priced, and a great way to start the day. I especially appreciated that they offered takeaway coffee at no extra charge, which was perfect for busy mornings. A solid stay with great service and convenient amenities!

The hotel is in standard of Four points group hotel. Room has enough space with good bed. Internet connection was great, breakfast was great that they provide white rice and chicken porridge which is important for some Asian.|Location is great, walking distance to Queenstreet mall, Botanical Garden, restaurants and stores.|However, intercom phone on our room was very bad so it was hard to talk to the room service since there was no bathrobe and toothpaste on our room, so that we should go to the receptionist to ask them. Also they did not provide welcome drinks for their guests.|The bad things was that they charged me AUD 19,5 for my 6 years old son having breakfast that the staff on the restaurant said nothing when we took our son for breakfast. I believe that the staff on the restaurant should explain or remind us for the charge, that I would prefer to not take the breakfast if we should be charged in that amount for kids.

well we stayed for two nights because we needed a venue since our beloved Hilton in Brissie closed after we had stayed there for twenty years or more and we thought a Sheraton property would be a similar standard - alas it is not even close; there is no cocktail lounge (you go next door to the allied Westin property) and on the Friday night I went to reception since I could not call them because the room 'phone was inoperable and explained about the 'phone and the fact that the automatic blind would not lower; I was told that the 'phone and the blind would be looked at in the morning even though it would mean us waking at daybreak! the technician arrived at 1300hrs on Saturday and (i) replaced the battery in the blind (surely reception staff should have known that was the problem and given me an AA) and (ii) explained that the 'phone could not be re-programmed on a weekend; |I am not impressed and I expect more for AUD700 per night (it was Magic Round footy weekend); our June booking is cancelled and the Hyatt Regency which I visited whilst in the CBD appears much more welcoming with professional and pleasant reception staff - it is also better positioned in the Queen Street Mall; the Sheraton experiment was an expensive and quite unhappy experience which will not be repeated

Yelp
Great location, in the heart of the business and tourist sections of town. Great check in, great staff, and awesome room on the 28th floor. The main breakfast restaurant is on the 1st floor where the food is fresh, eggs cooked to order, and quick service to remove plates. The fitness room is small so go early in the day to avoid crowded space. Eateries and coffee shops galore and with the strong US dollar, you get a good discount...Aussie dollar currently at .67 to 1 USD. Head two blocks to Elizabeth Street and enjoy the shopping, people watching, and lots of different ethnic eateries to chose from.

Yelp
Overall I had a nice stay with no problems. Pros: 1. Nice room overall with no major problems. I especially like the tile in the bathroom - it was that perfect blend of having enough grip so you don't slip in the shower, but it looks nice and is comfortable to walk on. 2. Breakfast was pleasant each morning. It didn't change enough from day to day (which gets a little old after a week there), but there is enough variety where it's not too bad. 3. Staff was friendly and I got water replenished each day. 4. Location is convenient to Eagle Street Pier as well as Queen Street retail. Cons: 1. There was constant noise at night as they were fixing the road, even from the 28th floor. Not the hotel's fault, but it was hard to ignore. 2. The gym is very tiny. It's not awful, but it is definitely below average. 3. The room heater doesn't get that warm. The solution was to ask for a portable heater which worked ok.

Yelp
Not a great place if you like clean and quiet rooms. I had toe nails in my room and the bathroom needed a good scrub. It is a far cry from its sister hotel in Darling Harbour Sydney which I have stayed many times. I expected similar standards. As for the noise, although not the hotels fault they should have warned me of the construction taking place right next door. As in open the curtains to high viz and jackhammers. Roadworks at night and construction at the crack of dawn. The staff were pleasant which was the only saving grace.

Yelp
This hotel is a nice SPG hotel. It's pretty new (built in 2013 I believe) and the staff is nice and always smiling. There's no gym right now you can go to a real big gym down the street for free or sometimes there's a 'gym' which is a hotel room on the 2nd floor that they turned into a small gym. Supposedly they are making a new one. The gym used to be on the top floor but they are turning that into a bar/lounge of sorts, which makes sense as the views and outdoor space there is nice. Oddly, they tend to 'upsell' you on getting a nicer room with wifi included which saves you money but is just confusing when you check in. That said, get a room that's up a bit and have a nice room, decent wifi, and a comfy stay.

Yelp
As a loyal Sheraton/Marriott guest over the decades and through many countries, I've been wary of the changes, which seem not to benefit loyalty members. However our travel group's arrangements at the Four Points Brisbane couldn't have been handled better - from advance, complex reservations far ahead of time, to catering, transportation services, front desk staff - it's all been unusually good. Excellent location and the hotel has everything one could want, good beds, fluffy towels, spotless rooms, with very good value in rates. It was nice to save money and use it for other aspects of our trip. Recommended highly.

Yelp
Very good price and pretty good location. If it had a pool I would have given it 5 stars, but I am very happy otherwise

Yelp
Hotel is great, staff very friendly and helpful. They really made me feel welcome. The restaurant needs work. Has all the atmosphere of a cafeteria, and food to match. I had the Rib Eye (not really convince it was actually rib eye as it had 0% marbling and not served on the bone - which should be stated on the menu) for $40+. I asked for veggies and I got them served pretty much raw! with no dressing. I did complain and to their credit no attitude. I think it's just poor training and management ( welcome to Australia).
