Four Points Brisbane is always my go-to whenever I land in the city. The location is spot on, an easy stroll to shops, cafés, the Botanic Gardens and more. The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable and exactly what you need for a short stay. Where the hotel falls short is the atmosphere. The lobby and Best Brews feel a bit flat, with no music or energy. Moving Best Brews into the lobby could really lift the vibe and create a more welcoming social space. Check-in could also use some polish. Arriving with multiple bags and being greeted with “How can I help you?” felt a little unprepared, and the towering computer screens hide the staff which doesn’t help with first impressions. They’re friendly, but more awareness and anticipation would go a long way. On a brighter note, the barista at Industrial Brews was excellent polite, professional and made a great coffee. Overall, a reliable hotel with room for a few thoughtful improvements.

Lovely hotel in a very central area. Rooms were spotless and there was no noise from within the hotel. There is a bit of construction going on outside, but it ended in the evening and was no bother. Even though one of the lifts was not working, the other two did the job just fine and we never had to wait very long. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at the Four Points for three nights in November 2024. Staff friendly upon arrival but unfortunately, the room was very basic and looking very tired. No decent view, the bed was uncomfortable, the shower and toilet very pokey. Breakfast was poor - the room was dark and dingy, the staff not overly polite and the choice of food limited.||We had room service which was good - it arrived quickly and was tasty.||Great location though with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.||Staff friendly and helpful upon departure.

No running water 2 nights in a row and construction noise in the middle of the night. Given a note at the door the day of is not really good enough. Housekeeping issues throughout our stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Friendly staff at reception but seem unable to follow through on actual guest services. Most redeeming aspect is access to the pool at the Westin hotel next door.

The hotel has some areas for improvement, but one staff member truly stood out. • Facilities: ◦ Lobby: Compact in size. ◦ Breakfast: Simple spread—manageable for a day or two, but limited variety. ◦ Guest room: Approximately 25 sqm, which feels quite small. It only has a 1.5m queen bed and a shower (no bathtub). • Service: During our 3-night stay, it was clear the hotel was understaffed. There were minor issues with housekeeping and coordination between departments. However, our experience at the restaurant was excellent, thanks to Elaine—one of the staff members who speaks Chinese. She was warm and attentive, promptly addressing our dining feedback and listening to our concerns about the stay, which she passed along to the team. Her personalized touches made all the difference: she offered chocolate drinks to our kids, checked if we wanted noodles, and asked how we preferred our eggs cooked. Even with the simple breakfast options, her care made the meal feel special. A mixed stay overall, but Elaine’s service left a great impression.

I enjoyed the stay there last week. The location is great, very handy to walk around to explore the city center. It will be ideal if the room has another layer of curtain which can block sunlight totally, and make it totally invisible from neighboring buildings. Currently the curtain is a bit transparent and not very private.

Friendly hotel with nice service. Hot water was turned off for 1 night, however at check in I was told all water would be turned off over night. A bit of confusion and it would be better if they email guests in advance, if I’d arrived after 9pm, I would have been very unhappy to not be able to have a shower.

I have stayed here for business several times over the last year. It’s a mid-tier business-oriented hotel with smaller but decent rooms and the “bathroom in a glass box” design that was briefly chic a decade ago. Although pitching itself as a premium property, in fact the Four Points itself has no amenities at all (no restaurant, no minibar, no in-room dining) - all of this is provided from the affiliated Westin hotel next door. Meh, I guess, but at the price point I’d expect these things on site. There are two modest issues - the hot water is consistently adequate at best, you have to set the tap to full hot and even then it’s just ok. And the wifi is appalling - to get the best out of it you have to join Marriot Bonvoy but even then the speed and bandwidth are inadequate for streaming or using a business VLAN. There is one MAJOR issue - noise. Within the property, noise from the corridors easily penetrates the flimsy room doors. You will know whenever the lift arrives or someone walks past your door. But worse than that, if you are in a room facing Mary St, you will be kept awake by the Cross City Rail works directly across the street. They work 24/7 with massive industrial equipment, cranes, tunnelling machines and heavy vehicles coming and going. I think they pay a guy to bang on a girder with a 12” shifter all night. I have previously stayed in rooms at the back of the property and it’s not so bad there, but in this visit I’m directly fronting the street and I have not slept a wink.

Yelp
Great location, in the heart of the business and tourist sections of town. Great check in, great staff, and awesome room on the 28th floor. The main breakfast restaurant is on the 1st floor where the food is fresh, eggs cooked to order, and quick service to remove plates. The fitness room is small so go early in the day to avoid crowded space. Eateries and coffee shops galore and with the strong US dollar, you get a good discount...Aussie dollar currently at .67 to 1 USD. Head two blocks to Elizabeth Street and enjoy the shopping, people watching, and lots of different ethnic eateries to chose from.

Yelp
Overall I had a nice stay with no problems. Pros: 1. Nice room overall with no major problems. I especially like the tile in the bathroom - it was that perfect blend of having enough grip so you don't slip in the shower, but it looks nice and is comfortable to walk on. 2. Breakfast was pleasant each morning. It didn't change enough from day to day (which gets a little old after a week there), but there is enough variety where it's not too bad. 3. Staff was friendly and I got water replenished each day. 4. Location is convenient to Eagle Street Pier as well as Queen Street retail. Cons: 1. There was constant noise at night as they were fixing the road, even from the 28th floor. Not the hotel's fault, but it was hard to ignore. 2. The gym is very tiny. It's not awful, but it is definitely below average. 3. The room heater doesn't get that warm. The solution was to ask for a portable heater which worked ok.

Yelp
Not a great place if you like clean and quiet rooms. I had toe nails in my room and the bathroom needed a good scrub. It is a far cry from its sister hotel in Darling Harbour Sydney which I have stayed many times. I expected similar standards. As for the noise, although not the hotels fault they should have warned me of the construction taking place right next door. As in open the curtains to high viz and jackhammers. Roadworks at night and construction at the crack of dawn. The staff were pleasant which was the only saving grace.

Yelp
This hotel is a nice SPG hotel. It's pretty new (built in 2013 I believe) and the staff is nice and always smiling. There's no gym right now you can go to a real big gym down the street for free or sometimes there's a 'gym' which is a hotel room on the 2nd floor that they turned into a small gym. Supposedly they are making a new one. The gym used to be on the top floor but they are turning that into a bar/lounge of sorts, which makes sense as the views and outdoor space there is nice. Oddly, they tend to 'upsell' you on getting a nicer room with wifi included which saves you money but is just confusing when you check in. That said, get a room that's up a bit and have a nice room, decent wifi, and a comfy stay.

Yelp
As a loyal Sheraton/Marriott guest over the decades and through many countries, I've been wary of the changes, which seem not to benefit loyalty members. However our travel group's arrangements at the Four Points Brisbane couldn't have been handled better - from advance, complex reservations far ahead of time, to catering, transportation services, front desk staff - it's all been unusually good. Excellent location and the hotel has everything one could want, good beds, fluffy towels, spotless rooms, with very good value in rates. It was nice to save money and use it for other aspects of our trip. Recommended highly.

Yelp
Very good price and pretty good location. If it had a pool I would have given it 5 stars, but I am very happy otherwise

Yelp
Hotel is great, staff very friendly and helpful. They really made me feel welcome. The restaurant needs work. Has all the atmosphere of a cafeteria, and food to match. I had the Rib Eye (not really convince it was actually rib eye as it had 0% marbling and not served on the bone - which should be stated on the menu) for $40+. I asked for veggies and I got them served pretty much raw! with no dressing. I did complain and to their credit no attitude. I think it's just poor training and management ( welcome to Australia).
