Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons

Nice hotel on the outskirts and close to the motorway. We visited the city by bus which was about a 15 minutes walk away. We were happy, but others may want to consider other means of transport. The rooms were good and very clean. We used the pool and the gym both of which were again very good, clean and fitted the level of hotel well. Breakfast again was good, but some of the selection seemed poor. Perfectly adequate, but a few things could have been better. Would we stay again? Yes of course.

The hotel is situated conveniently close to a motorway exit and located in a nice park. There are two wings to the hotel, one renovated and one not. We had the experience of both. After the first night we had to complain about the room, noticing we were in the non renovated wing. For the other night we were then given a room in the renovated wing. Which was much nicer. ||Unfortunately we must attest that both the rooms were not cleaned well. The beds were excellent though, as almost always in Marriott. ||The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there is plenty of options on the buffet. Coffee and fresh juices were not convincing. ||Being a Marriott Bonvoy Member eligible to upgrades (even to suites), sadly I wasn’t offered any upgrades at check-in, nor was I welcomed as a higher status member in Bonvoy club. It felt not important to the hotel staff. ||If there would be other Marriott Hotel options in Ljubljana I would try them, but currently there aren’t any.

Large modern hotel, convenient for the airport, quiet, mostly views of trees, very comfortable rooms and helpful, friendly staff.||We arrived to Ljubljana airport Friday evening and I wanted a hotel that was comfortable where it would not be a problem if our flight arrived late. ||The hotel was easy to find, easy to park (free parking outside; you pay if you park in the garage). The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful on check-in. Our two double rooms were a good size, with really comfortable beds and great (quiet) air conditioning. Although very near a main road, most of the hotel looks out on to trees and it is quiet. ||We had a light dinner in the restaurant where the staff were also very friendly. Nice wine, nice cocktails. The menu is quite international; the quality of food was good. ||The next day we were happy to have the hotel breakfast to enjoy - a good buffet offer (much better than you see in most hotels in nearby Italy), as well as the facilities: we liked the gym with a good range of equipment, decent space and nice views over a wood. We also enjoyed the games room and the pool, which does not have many loungers or seating around the pool or outside it, but it seemed fine as most people were not staying there for long.

Highly recommend this location if you like comfort and quiet nature surrounded area. Daily minivan to Old Town roundtrip is only 8 Euros. As Marriot member received upgrade to a lovely suite. Simple but had everything I needed inc a small kitchenette. The staff was WONDERFUL and so helpful. Wifi was great, check-in goodies and simple extras a nice touch. I was so comfortable that I missed the free breakfast. Only negative had nothing to do with the hotel but WARNING the taxis are a rip off The hotel helped me with the driver as I was saying I was being over charged by about 50 Euro It was 75 Euro for a 12 mile trip! TAKE UBER! they are wonderful so far -I used them going to my next stop but apparently there are only 25 taxies that are licensed for the airport so they charge a fortune. I have stay in a LOT of hotels and wanted to take the time now to recommend this one as its a GREAT VALUE!

So I stayed 4 nights at this hotel and overall that was a very complete hotel. The hotel is well equipped and has all the necessary resources. To focus on specific points, the available swimming pool was very slightly cold, but it's only a matter of a few degrees. The fitness centre was pleasant with a lot of equipment available, I enjoyed it. The hotel restaurant was delicious, with highly skilled and professional waiters. Nevertheless, given the importance of the subject, I believe it is essential that communication be harmonised in order to avoid any confusion, particularly regarding discounts for members of the hotel group. Otherwise, everything went very well.

I stayed in Mons this summer and overall, the experience was underwhelming. The rooms are a good size, breakfast was tasty, and the hotel offers free parking, which is a plus. However, the location is not ideal – noise from the nearby highway can be disturbing, and the soundproofing between rooms is very poor, making it easy to hear conversations from neighboring guests. The bathroom, in particular, was disappointing and certainly did not meet 4-star standards – at best, it resembled something closer to a 2-star facility. This was especially surprising considering I stayed in the newer part of the hotel. Photos of the bathroom speak for themselves.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was updated, clean, comfortable, and very quiet. We had been coming off a few nights with little sleep and the front desk was very patient/accommodating to make sure we got a room that would be quiet. There is free parking. The breakfast is really good with made to order eggs/omelets. The pool area is also very nice. We got dinner from the hotel restaurant one night to bring back to our room and it was very good. It was a short taxi ride to get into town. The only reason why I removed one star is because we had been using the taxi app to request rides to/from Old Town Ljubljana. Whenever, we used the taxi app, we got a reputable driver with a meter and it cost around 10€. However, one day we were having a hard time getting a ride on the app so we asked the front desk to call us a taxi. The taxi driver came and there was no meter. When we inquired, he just said 15€. So this was over a 30% increase of what we'd been paying - there was no extra traffic or anything that day so it was clearly just a scam. It left a bad taste that the hotel would call us a taxi with no meter that clearly overcharged us.

A beautiful hotel, with top-notch luxury, peace, and a stunning view. Although I only spent 6 hours in the hotel due to the demands of my work schedule, that time was the favorite part of my day — in the most comfortable bed. Thank you!🙏
