The Best Hotels in Fort Lauderdale of 2024

"There’s an elegance to the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale, an It List 2023 winner, that isn’t easily found in the rest of the city. You notice it the second you walk into the small yet glamorous lobby, and it makes an appearance around every corner, from the bar at MAASS to the excellent poolside service, private balconies, and grab-and-go coffee bar, Honey Fitz. Similar to other scaled-down Four Seasons properties, the Fort Lauderdale outpost provides an intimate setting where guests feel cared for and noticed throughout their stay." - Travel + Leisure Editors

The Newest Four Seasons Hotel Hopes to Channel the Spirit of Fort Lauderdale

"The new Four Seasons opened on Mar. 3 on Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, joining the brand's four existing Florida properties in Palm Beach, Miami, Surfside, and Orlando. The hotel occupies a bright-white building designed by Miami architect Kobi Karp, with 22 stories of curved lines and wraparound terraces — reminiscent of the yachts that make this one of the boating capitals of the country." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Forget what you think you know of Fort Lauderdale and head to the Four Seasons. This sophisticated hotel sits on a quiet stretch of beach though the area’s dining, shopping, and more are just minutes away. The rooms to beat have views of the Intracoastal, though all come complete with signature Four Seasons comforts. Dining comes with its own delights here, including a spot headed by Chef Ryan Ratino, whose restaurants have been awarded MICHELIN Stars in Washington, D.C." - Tablet Hotels

Wonderful stay. We just finished 6 nights and loved it. As others have noted, it’s not a “resort” in the classic sense, but for us it had everything we want from one: pools, beach access and service, bars, spa, restaurants, views, and a great location. We had a partial ocean view room on the 4th floor (south) with a large terrace and about a 90° ocean view. The room was modern, spotless, and spacious, with a huge bathroom, deep soaking tub, large separate shower, and convenient electronic controls on the iPad and walls. Every single staff member we encountered was pleasant, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I’m a luxury bargain hunter, and with some flexibility you can do well here: a 3rd night free on top of a lower-than-usual base rate, plus a Preferred Partner booking (with breakfast, etc.) makes the overall cost feel “reasonable” and softens the blow of $63 valet parking, $100+ breakfasts, and $25 drinks—pricing that’s in line with other South Florida luxury hotels. Four Seasons service is as consistent as ever. I made a small comment about breakfast—more a personal opinion than a complaint—and mentioned it to our server. The next morning the assistant F&B manager came by to discuss it, and the following day the General Manager did as well. This wasn’t about resolving a problem; they genuinely wanted to learn and improve. Great hotel. We’ll be back.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the pool due to very strong winds, but everything else was good. We spent some time at the beach, where they offered activities for kids, which was really nice. The room was a bit small for us, but it had a beautiful balcony where we enjoyed breakfast from in-room dining. Breakfast at the restaurant was good as well — we chose the buffet. Room service for dinner was not perfect, though. The Caesar salad didn’t resemble a real Caesar at all — it seemed to be made with frozen kale or something similarly tasteless instead of romaine. The burgers were simple but okay.

I have so much to share with you. The team is outstanding. There are so many incredibly intentional and talented folks to shout out. Starting with Kaliea and Carolina, both of whom went out of their way to make our trip memorable and make us feel special. We had some hiccups earlier on in our stay and Kaliea assured us not only with her words but also with her actions that there was no mountain she wouldn't move to course correct. Carolina also diligently followed-up and helped us secure a coveted Thanksgiving reservation as well as sent surprises that were personal and thoughtful. The whole reception/concierge team is wonderful. Jerred, Jennifer, Stefan all helped us in their own ways and we really appreciated their time and energy. And I can't end this review without mentioning the restaurant staff at Evelyn's. Johnny, whom we met last time we came, continues to be the funniest and our favourite. We met Jenah this time and she was also such a pleasure and so helpful. Also from the restaurant, Christopher who assisted Jenah and Johnny, has an amazing attitude and work ethic. Thariq, Kendal, and Rich, thank you all for your hospitality by the pool! My only point of feedback would be the spa services... there's a lot of opportunity for improvement in being a true 5 star experience with the one-of-a-kind facial. However, got a massage another time and it was heavenly!!!

What a joy to return to the Four Seasons Ft. Lauderdale!||Everything positive you’ve read is true, and more, so I will focus on those elements which blew us away in the hope that it will help future guests.||The spa: I don’t know how the Spa Manager found the team, but after working with three different therapists, I can confirm that they are best in class. Do book in advance and come early to relax in their quiet and calm relaxation room, use the sauna or steam room. Book in advance to secure your preferred time.||Evelyn’s restaurant: It’s odd to say, but this is absolutely my favorite restaurant, anywhere. The ingredients are the highest quality, and the dishes, all the ones we’ve tried, are just delicious. Even when we are passing through Ft. Lauderdale, we make reservations and enjoy a meal at Evelyn’s. The bartender, Matthew, would be better called a Wizard. He makes every drink, and I don’t drink alcohol, special for you. ||This Four Seasons has an especially gifted pastry chef. The in-room amenities you can pre order or special order, are extraordinary, even for a true luxury hotel. They can make and do make, almost anything you can dream up.||Thank you so much to the Four Seasons Ft. Lauderdale for making our vacation so special. We appreciate you and can’t wait to come back!

My stay at the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale followed a disappointing experience at their Palm Beach property, and unfortunately, many of the same issues persisted, making me seriously reconsider my loyalty to the brand. The interior design is absolutely spectacular—it truly feels like you're on a mega yacht, which was a refreshing start. Check-in was a bright spot: We were greeted by Jose, who did an outstanding job helping with our bags and escorting us to our room. It reminded me why I choose Four Seasons and pay premium prices for their service. However, things went downhill from there. We were told we'd been upgraded to an "Intercoastal" view, but our room overlooked a parking lot with only a distant sliver of water visible. It's a matter of principle—don't oversell something that doesn't exist. Maintenance was a major letdown again. The water pressure was awful, and the showerhead was missing multiple pieces of hardware. We notified the team (not to complain or request upgrades, just to alert them for fixes), and without asking, a property manager kindly offered a credit toward dinner, assuring us this was a one-off issue. But it wasn't—the problems mirrored our Palm Beach stay. At the spa, the main shower highlighted during the tour was completely inoperable. When I asked the attendant if I was using it wrong, he said, "We're sorry for the inconvenience; sometimes that shower does not work." It's unbelievable that a Four Seasons property knows about broken facilities and doesn't fix them, especially when guests are paying thousands per night. We received a $350 credit overall, which was appreciated but didn't come close to compensating for the value lost in what felt like a 3-star experience at a supposed 5-star resort. Considering this experience was consistent with the West Palm Beach property, it was truly mind-blowing and disappointing—I won't be returning to this property and may avoid Four Seasons altogether in the future.

I honestly can't say enough good things about my stay here. I booked through Amex FHR for my fiancée's birthday and they really went above and beyond. This was our first stay at a Four Seasons and they have created a brand loyalist.||From the moment we arrived the team made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was professional and pleasant without feeling at all pretentious.||Before we arrived, I had requested flowers for my fiancee's birthday. Not only was the bouquet better than what I can find from most florists, but we also got upgraded to an amazing room and they had a dessert and birthday gift waiting for my fiancée. On top of nailing every detail, they didn't charge us for any of it. A complete surprise that just made it feel like they were celebrating with us.||We went to the spa where I received the best massage I have ever had. The facilities were beautiful and again, little details such as hand written welcome cards just made the experience that much nicer. The staff at the spa had the same professionalism combined with approachability that really makes this place stand out.||The pool had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and the food and drinks served there were great. Again, the people working there were attentive and kind.||Finally we went to both on-site dining options, Maass and Evelyn's, and both were beautiful aesthetically and had great food and service.||I've never written a review on TripAdvisor but felt compelled to after the treatment we received. The team here has blown me away, even compared with other luxury places such as the St. Regis and Park Hyatt. They delivered in every way imaginable. Thank you so much for a memorable trip, you really made it special.

Google
Ok Yes. This hotel is a perfect 10.. Out of all of our 5 star experiences this hotel is at the very top! Why? The Kids Club was AMAZING! My son finally felt like he belonged on the travel.. The ladies and the young man who watched him and entertained everyday with fun STEM projects and games were fantastic!! I CANT SAY ENOUGH. I home school and this is the only place I felt safe leaving him in years.. Thank you ladies and young man for making my sons stay so special!! Lastly the staff what's great the restaurant was good and my family loved it here... well be back!! My only critique is my son did not like some of the hotel art (5 th floor a womans butt cheeks displayed in a thong, no head or legs.. just a photo of her butt) My son said please change that distastful picture of her bootie to people playing on the beach ⛱️ (wich is across the street) .I agree with my 8 yr old! I'm voicing his complaints so that hopefully when we return its gone! ;)

Our stay was truly outstanding from start to finish. The service, comfort, and attention to detail were second to none. A very special mention goes to Kaliea, Recardo, Daniel, and Jennifer — each of them went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made us feel so welcomed and valued. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Yelp
Excellent hotel, attentive staff and just a wonderful experience. I will going back. Additionally the restaurant on the 3rd floor is delicious. The pumpkin soup is out of this world.

Yelp
Thank you Four Seasons for saving my trip! Initially, I had reservations to stay at The Diplomat, but the hotel was in terrible conditions with black mold in the rooms (we tried two different ones). It was also a construction site and looked nothing as it was advertised. My husband and I spent 4 hours trying to resolve the issue, which ended up in us checking out and taking a loss. I was really upset because I booked the trip to celebrate his birthday, and the day this happened was his actual birth date. After being left stranded, my husband called Four Seasons and was immediately greeted with so much kindness over the phone. The gentleman was so patient and explained the room options to us. We arrived at the hotel and treatment toward us was night and day, especially having come from such a horrible experience. We were welcomed and told how happy they were that we were there. The front desk woman was a gem and gave us two glasses of Prosecco. Then, the director of the hotel walked out and let us know that he was there for anything we needed and that he was able to give us a small upgrade. We were already thrilled with the beautiful property and wonderful service, we were not expecting anything else. We originally booked a prime ocean room, and upon walking to our room, we found that we were upgraded to an intracoastal suite. I've stayed at other 5-star hotels and this has by far, been the most breathtaking suite we have stayed in. We couldn't believe that the director called it a small upgrade. The man who also brought up our luggage was so courteous and service was top tier. Our entire stay was amazing and every time we went out, we came back to a suite that had been tidied up by housekeeping. The front desk woman also helped us make last minute reservations to Mastro's Ocean Club, as our previous reservations were at the hotel that we were going to previously stay at, and we did not want to go back there. Whenever I am in Fort Lauderdale, I will never stay anywhere but the Four Seasons hotel. Thank you so much!

Yelp
I was impressed with the Four Seasons Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. As usual with FS - you're greeted by super knowledgeable staff and a beautiful location. Generally, I feel as if the FS I have visited have larger lobbies. This one seemed tall and compact vs. spacious when it came to the lobby. I stayed in a partial-ocean view room which in contrast to the lobby was fairly roomy. The bed was comfortable, linens/towels nice, and the entire room was pristinely clean. Our balcony was the perfect breakfast nook come morning time. (I'm a huge FS buttermilk pancake lover) The service at the beach was also super helpful! I didn't know how it would work seeing as you have to cross a busy road to access the beach, but waiting there were 2 super sweet FS employees with waters, towels to set your chairs, and even sunscreen for those who forgot their own. All in all, a lovely stay. I prefer it to many hotels I've stayed at in South Florida.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful. Every staff member we came into contact with was exceptional. We stayed in a prime ocean view room that was a good size and an amazing balcony and view of the ocean. The housekeeping staff had great attention to detail. The turn down service felt like a light cleaning each night when we returned to our room after dinner. The beach service was wonderful. We will be back!

Yelp
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. I was here a few months ago and was really impressed. The outside of the hotel feels exotic, like being on an island in a faraway land. I did not eat at their restaurant, but it looks amazing. While walking through, I saw some food and it looked very unique. That was just a little odd to me though,,,,walking through the restaurant to get to the hotel part, coming from the beach. The entrance just seemed a little ordinary. Their main entrance is facing sort of a back alley street. Anyway, the pool is so great. It is just the right temperature. You can see the ocean from the pool. I was able to swim many laps until it got crowded. The pool attendant was so nice. And I love their pool towels. They are truly luxurious and very thick. I love it here and think it is the nicest hotel on the beach.

Yelp
Most exclusive high end resort in Ft Lauderdale Beach. Staff is welcoming and attention to detail is the norm. Beautiful pool area, great restaurant 'Evelyn's' on property.

Yelp
Obviously the most beautiful hotel in this city. The views are amazing and the food is delicious! The salad was my fav with grated parm and at 3 pm they have a dessert cart with COOKIES AND CREAM MACARON. I was legit in heaven my god!! It was so good!!! One of the best macarons Ive ever had for real. The vibe is so relaxing and the staff is very professional, kind, welcoming.

Yelp
This is more than a 5 star experience and the best 5 star property I've ever stayed at. We stayed here for two nights to celebrate my mom's birthday and it was above and beyond our expectations. We really appreciated how everyone knew it was her birthday and wished her well. The concierge helped me setup a nice in room treat as well. The rooms and bathroom are immaculate. We stayed in an ocean view room and you could have sworn it was a suite. And omg the views! Evelyn's was definitely a small menu, but ever so delicious. Do not miss out on the donuts. Our server, Jena, was amazing and made sure we had a great time. Last, but certainly not least, the guys that are out helping by the pool are SO great! They're really going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Loved the extra touches of snacks and drinks at both the beach and pool. We will definitely be back next year :)

Yelp
Move over Ritz the new kid on the block has had its year to get its act together and now will soon be crowned maybe both at same time 5 stars Mobile Guide ( requires 24 hour room service which Ritz at $1000.00 does not have) and Five Diamond award . Rumors have it that AAA staff and independent advisers have been up and down A1A viewing all hotels. I expect some old favorites to lose their stars because of the lack of attention given to spruce up their properties during down period of COVID . The Four Season also hits a home run for elegant wedding receptions , lunches on the Beach and can even provide a large area directly on the beach for a wedding party. No other hotel in Fort Lauderdale is doing what the Four season is doing to cater to demanding wedding quality guests. I am uploading some photos of my resent visit . Notice the quality the public beach cabana for hotel guests...the towels , amenities... all crisp and correct. A breath of fresh air for the new level of Elegance for its demanding guest. The modern high-rise structure is an architectural splendor! and It's views of the blue ocean are breathtaking. The prices are comparable to 25 year old Ritz but the interior amenities, the new building structure, the carpets, the uniforms, the artwork, the attention to detail is a hands-down win for a future five star Mobile Guide Five diamond AAA property! Maybe soon we will learn if this hotel will be crowned the new Queen of the Beach!

Yelp
When my 3 hour flight from NY to Fort Lauderdale unexpectedly and inconveniently turned into a 7 hour ordeal due to inclement weather and the forecast for the rest of the week was predicted to be stormy, I had the mind-set that the trip was going to be a complete disaster. Luckily, the second I stepped into the lobby of the Four Seasons, that feeling quickly disappeared. We were greeted graciously by front desk attendant, Unique, who was friendly, warm, and made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is impeccable and rooms are top notch. We loved all of the amenities offered and dined at Evelyn's, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you to Unique and all of the wonderful staff at The Four Seasons Ft. Lauderdale. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would! We stayed over the weekend for my best friends bachelorette girls trip and they went above and beyond to cater to our party. We were met by a special greeting letter congratulating her on her nuptials with the most amazing chocolates! The room was huge & spotless, all the amenities were absolutely perfect! The best part about the whole thing wasn't even the hotel it was the employees. From the moment we pulled up in our car, the valet, to the front desk, the pool guys, the people at the spa, the restaurants, ALL went above and beyond. I felt like ROYALTY the entire weekend we were there. We were waited on hand and foot everywhere we went we were welcomed with smiles and the upmost care for customer service. Just really want to say thank you. We will be back!

Yelp
Johnny is an amazing bartender! He is friendly and attentive, as well as efficient and always has a smile and a great attitude. He truly deserves a raise! We will definitely be coming back, what a perfect and relaxing experience!

Yelp
It's the Four Seasons so much is expected, but this property exceeds even those expectations. Particular shout outs to kitchen and crew of Evelyn's. Food is superb, service top notch. Special recognition to front desk staff of Maria and Alexandra (super helpful even on her second day on the job). And the valet manager (whose name I did not get) managed her team with a skill and professionalism that any executive would want on their team. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay which was for business but which they made feel like a mini vacation.

Yelp
Perfect weekend brunch at The Four Seasons as always. The Benedict was to die for as was the omelette. You will never beat the service at the Four Seasons anywhere!!

Yelp
A quiet respite in a town that can be at times loud and chaotic. We booked a king room with a city view for 3 nights. The room itself was beautifully appointed, large, and spotless. It also had a large balcony that was a surprise. The bathroom is also spacious with a large walk-in rain shower. There are 2 pools that offer beverage and food options. All the staff we encountered regardless if it was the front door, pool attendants, housekeeping, or the front desk were extremely friendly and attentive. So I did have a couple of negatives that kept it from being 5 stars. Although the location is right across from the beach, it is basically the last hotel on one end of the strip where all the action is. It is a decent walk to the night clubs and shopping area. There is limited dining options on the property. There is Evelyn's, which serves breakfast, lunch, and diner. Evelyn's also supplies the food at the pool. People rave about the food at Evelyn's but we were less than satisfied with the food we received at the pool. The other option is Honey Fitz that serves a limited menu all day in a very small space, there is some outdoor seating. The worse problem we encountered is our room overlooked the Aqua hotel across the street. Aqua has an outdoor seating area. On Thursday night there were 10 or so drunk people in that seating area until about 3am. The noise woke us up and it continued until they finally left the area at 3. We could clearly hear the noise in our room on the 5th floor.

Yelp
We've come to Ft. Lauderdale for years and have stayed at The Ritz, thought we'd try 4 Seasons, SO disappointed...service was terrible on ALL levels...employees never smile or great you in passing!!! We are DEFINITELY go back to the Ritz!!! BTW, I've never taken time to do a YELP review, but had to die to disappointment here!!!

Aaron A.

Yelp
Beautiful property. I had lunch and drinks at Evelyn's on the third floor. Amazing view of the pool and beach. Matthew was a terrific bartender. I had amazing drinks over lunch. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out. You don't need to be a guest to see it!
