Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence (Cairo, Egypt) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"You might expect Cairo, a city with a demonstrated taste for grandeur, to be chock full of first-class luxury hotels. For the most part, you’d be wrong. But there are exceptions, some of them rather striking — a case in point is the Four Seasons Cairo First Residence." - Tablet Hotels

A Disgrace to the Four Seasons Name. Deeply Disappointed I stayed at your hotel with my family (two adults, two children), expecting the high standards this brand is known for. What we encountered was shockingly below par. Reception & Check-In: From the moment we arrived, the experience was off-putting. The reception staff lacked basic hospitality training and failed to deliver even a courteous welcome. Despite arriving well past check-in time, our room was not ready. We were left waiting over 25 minutes with no explanation or apology. Room Conditions: When we were finally escorted to what they called a “suite,” we were stunned to find housekeeping still cleaning up after the previous guests. Dirty cups were left behind, the room smelled unpleasant, and several areas were damp. It was not just unprepared it was unhygienic and unacceptable. Overall Experience: This was not a minor lapse it was a complete failure in service, cleanliness, and professionalism. I chose this hotel based on its reputation for excellence, but what we received was far from any reasonable standard, let alone the Four Seasons benchmark. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too poor to ignore. I hope management takes this seriously, because what we endured was not just disappointing it was embarrassing.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Four Seasons First Residence in Giza. The hotel is elegant, peaceful, and perfectly located. Our luxurious room was beautifully appointed, and we were treated to fresh fruit and desserts delivered daily—a lovely touch.||Dining was a highlight, with several restaurants right on the Nile. The hotel offers a private car service to safely take you to and from dinner, which made everything feel seamless and secure.||Breakfast was outstanding, with a mix of international options and traditional Egyptian dishes. The staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful, and the manager was often present, ensuring everything ran smoothly.||We felt truly cared for throughout our stay. We’ll definitely return—and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Giza!

From the reservation to the presentation luxury on a different level!!! It's not just the customer service it's the personal touch that made our visit speechless. This hotel is romantic for couples luxurious for weddings and professional for business events. Located in a great area and right across from Cairo Zoo can't ask for anything better.....

We visited the First Residence in May- family of four from the United States. Every single person went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We got a City Suite which had way more than enough room for a family of four- such a lovely and spacious room with a view with the pyramids in the distance. The hospitality start to finish was amazing, breakfast buffet was large and had a variety of food before heading out sightseeing, and our dinner at Zoe was delicious!! I also visited the spa which has a hot tub, steam room, and sauna you can visit before or after your service. We loved every second of our stay and have nothing but thanks to the wonderful staff for their exceptional hospitality.

A more than wonderful experience. Everything is beautiful in the hotel. I advise all people of all Arab and European nationalities around the world to stay in the largest group of hotels in the world, the Four Seasons International Hotel Group.

I chose this hotel based on price. I have stayed at the RC before and wasn't wowed. That, and the St Regis were coming in $150 higher on the relevant date, and my stay was very short. So this made sense.||I don't think I would stay again. Pros:||- good service (in theory) compared to the Cairo norm|- the usual wonderfully comfortable FS bed|- location isn't bad, and it has nice views in either direction||But||- I say service in theory, because it wasn't holding up in practice. My welcome amenity had a nice looking tart topped with a raspberry. Only after eating half, was the mould inside the raspberry (very) visible|- My bathroom shower gel was empty. I asked for it to be refilled - explaining that I would be in the spa for 2 hours and then needed to shower. I returned to my room having been serviced and started to shower assuming they had done it. They had not...||Neither of those service fails should be happening in a FS - definitely not in the space of a couple of hours.||The food I ate in the Lebanese restaurant was straight from a freezer and v mediocre. I am absolutely certain there is no real chef (the batata harra was breakfast potatoes with lemon juice on). I should have worked out the 'empty restaurant, long menu' red flag. But billing this as Cairo's finest Lebanese is - at best - "ambitious".

A True Home Away From Home – Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence Every time I visit Cairo, I never think twice about where to stay — the Four Seasons at The First Residence is my go-to hotel, and for good reason. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality, genuine care, and a level of service that consistently exceeds expectations. The location is perfect — right by the Nile and connected to The First Mall, which makes shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and always impeccably maintained. Waking up to a Nile view is a luxury that never gets old. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. They remember returning guests, go above and beyond to accommodate special requests, and always make me feel like I’m at home, not just another guest. Whether it’s a short trip or an extended stay, the Four Seasons Cairo never disappoints. It’s a place I associate with comfort, familiarity, and top-tier luxury. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a five-star experience in Cairo.

We had a family reunion and met up at the restaurant at the Four Seasons. This was phenomenal. The food was amazing, we had an incredible belly dancer as entertainment and the staff were so friendly. It really was an incredible experience enjoyed by us all!
