"The Four Seasons commands a central location on Market Street, while the Four Seasons Embarcadero—the hotel group’s newer property, a 12-minute walk away, in the Embarcadero neighborhood—features warm-toned decor and stunning views of the Transamerica Pyramid. Both the original and the Embarcadero location offer luxurious accommodations and dining options like the California-centric, fine-dining MKT Bar & Restaurant." - Jessie Beck

"The Four Seasons feels luxurious, but it's a contemporary contrast to other marble-columned, traditional hotels in San Francisco. Rooms are outfitted with Nespresso machines, Bose sound systems, and TVs that allow you to stream content; products are by L'Occitane. The location on Market Street is right on the BART line, near Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, SFMOMA, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. "This elegant and airy space right in the middle of downtown San Francisco is ideally situated for walking around the heart of the city. There are also the Yerba Buena gardens nearby and a stunning lap pool inside the hotel for when you need a break from sightseeing (there's also a full-on Equinox gym). It's definitely one of the city's best hotels (if not its best)."

Overall, my stay at the Four Seasons San Francisco was excellent. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. The Four Seasons app was particularly helpful. It made everything from ordering room service to requesting amenities smooth and seamless. I even requested a keyboard and mouse for work, and they were promptly delivered to the room, which I really appreciated. One of the biggest highlights of the hotel was the Equinox gym. It is so great. I absolutely loved it. The gym is huge and packed with all kinds of activities to do, from fitness classes to state-of-the-art equipment. It added so much value to my stay and is truly a standout feature of the property. There were a few areas that could be improved. First, I do wish the breakfast was offered as a buffet. A high-end hotel like Four Seasons typically provides that option, and it adds a lot to the guest experience. Second, there was no noticeable scent in the hotel lobby or public areas. Many Four Seasons properties around the world use signature fragrances that create a luxurious atmosphere, and I missed that sensory element here. The Wi-Fi didn’t initially work with my laptop. However, the IT support team came several times to troubleshoot and were genuinely committed to helping resolve the issue, which I appreciated. On the other hand, the laundry service was disappointing. It’s outsourced, very expensive, and not on par with the quality I’ve come to expect from Four Seasons. A small detail, but worth noting: the complimentary water provided in the room is in small aluminum cans. You will likely need to order several at a time, which isn’t ideal. While the hotel itself is well-maintained, it’s important to acknowledge that the deterioration of downtown San Francisco affects the overall feel of the area. The property is doing its best in this context. However, when compared to international Four Seasons standards, it is solid but doesn’t quite rise to the level of their top global locations. That said, my experience was still overwhelmingly positive. The hospitality and service culture that Four Seasons is known for was clearly present, and that made all the difference. I would stay again.

Our room was generously sized, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom and overall cleanliness of the room were spot on. The staff at the hotel were warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly, with the team at the MKT restaurant standing out for their exceptional kindness. The food there was absolutely delicious! While we enjoyed everything about the Four Seasons, the only downside was the occasional homeless presence near Market Street, though this is beyond the hotel's control. Overall, a fantastic experience with top-notch service and comfort.

While the hotel lobby needs bit of a refresh, the staff of the property will ensure a 5 star experience. They go out of their way to remember names and are helpful beyond reproach. The bed is fantastic and the rooms are well appointed (bathrooms a bit dated). Regardless, wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Location is 10/10 - close to the best parts of the city. Splendid hotel and a memorable stay, facilitated by the wonderful team at FS SF. Special mention to Vanessa the concierge and Hasan at the front desk who was the epitome of what Four Seasons hospitality represents. Thanks for a great stay!

My recent stay at the Four Seasons San Francisco was nothing short of incredible, truly a 5-star experience from start to finish! The hotel itself is immaculate, and my room was absolutely perfect, a beautiful and comfortable sanctuary. What truly made this stay memorable was the impeccable service. Every single staff member I encountered was attentive, professional, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring a fantastic guest experience. A minor TV issue on my first night was handled with remarkable professionalism. While I expected a simple fix, the hotel's response upon checkout truly amazed me. Jessica, the front desk manager, personally apologized for the inconvenience and, handled the situation with amazing professionalism and generosity. This proactive and generous service speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction and really sets them apart. I regret not having had the chance to experience the Equinox gym downstairs, but it gives me something exciting to look forward to on my next visit. I can't recommend the Four Seasons San Francisco highly enough, it's an exceptional hotel with service that goes above and beyond!

We attended a Candlelight Concert in the ballroom but did not stay the night at this hotel. The concert was amazing! The candlelight was beautiful. The Four Seasons hotel is an attractive venue for something as classy. You should have a lot more of these Candlelight Concerts! The only complaints we had were due to the venue. The cost of drinks at the event bar was outrageous. Not kidding; We purchased one canned heart alcohol drink, and one small bottle of water and it was $49! Before a tip. How could that possibly be? I double-checked. It was correct. We found it awkward where the bathrooms were, considering the ballroom area being full of people and multiple doorways off the main hall were not labeled, but had adjacent drinking fountains. The terrace which is right there where the ballroom is a gorgeous place but very underutilized, obviously. If there were fire pits out there we didn't notice. Blankets and fire pits with a little bit of music over speakers would be great. Instead it just felt like unused space, or a ghost town. Host another Candlelight Concert there and we'llll be back!

Hands down, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, everything about this experience felt like a masterclass in hospitality. The views from the top floor? Immaculate. Waking up and watching Karl (the SF fog) float up above the city unfolding was nothing short of breathtaking. It was one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate where you are. The on-site restaurant was fantastic. The cuisine was top-notch and the cocktails were equally impressive (artful, balanced, and delicious). Whether we were coming in from a day of exploring or winding down after dinner, we were always greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Special shoutout to Gavin, Jeff, Sequoia, Megan, and Anton for making our stay feel personal, seamless, and downright joyful. You’re the heart of this place. We didn’t get a chance to join the Saturday yoga on the terrace, but it looked like the perfect way to start the weekend: fresh air, skyline views, and peaceful energy all around. Every morning we were treated to complimentary tea, coffee, healthy house-made breakfast bars. A small touch that made a big difference and set the tone for the day. Location-wise, it doesn’t get better. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance, from cozy cafés and boutiques to pharmacy store and fitness spots — yes, even Orangetheory, for those who want to get a workout in before brunch. Even walking distance from Chinatown and the SF trolleys! This hotel is the perfect blend of comfort, class, and hospitality.

My daughter had surgery in San Francisco that required an extended stay in the area. The Four Seasons was amazing!!!!! The caring and thoughtful management, concierges, room service, housekeeping….every service was 5 star!! The hotel is quiet, luxurious and elegant with a lively bar and restaurant with phenomenal food!! Highly recommend!!!!! Another added bonus is the windows in the rooms open slightly allowing for the fresh CA air, while most downtown hotels do not offer this feature.

We booked our stay at the Four Seasons San Francisco through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, primarily for its location in the Financial District and the benefits included with FHR. Check-in was seamless—valet and front desk staff were friendly and professional. The room itself was fine, nothing extraordinary, but met expectations for a short city stay. After a pleasant dinner out, we returned to the hotel looking forward to a relaxing nightcap. We headed to the MKT Restaurant & Bar, hoping to enjoy a drink at the bar. Unfortunately, that experience took a sharp turn. Upon approaching the bar, I attempted to get the attention of the bartender, who clearly saw me but ignored me. Thinking it may have been unintentional, I moved to the other end of the bar. Shockingly, the same bartender walked right past me to serve a couple who had just arrived, deliberately bypassing me again. Frustrated and feeling completely disregarded, we decided to leave and head back to our room. I was so disappointed and unsettled by the experience that I couldn’t sleep. Around midnight, I called the front desk and asked to speak to the Food and Beverage Manager. She was extremely apologetic, expressed genuine concern, and offered to send cocktails to our room as a gesture of goodwill. We declined. She then offered a complimentary bottle of wine, which we also declined as we had just returned from Napa and already had a case in the room. A third offer of complimentary breakfast was unnecessary, as we already had a $70 breakfast credit through Amex FHR. We appreciated her effort, but chose to say goodnight and try to put the experience behind us. The next morning, before checking out, we decided to give the MKT Restaurant & Bar another try—this time for breakfast. The difference was immediate and striking. As soon as the hostess took our room number, her demeanor shifted and we were warmly welcomed and led to what she described as "the best table in the house" with a stunning view. Our server came over shortly after and proactively apologized for the previous night’s treatment, which we hadn’t even mentioned yet. During breakfast, I noticed my napkin was stained and quietly grabbed a clean one from a nearby table. A staff member quickly approached and said, “I’ll take care of that.” It was Johan, the Director of Food and Beverage. He personally apologized once again for the poor service at the bar and expressed sincere regret over our experience. He handled the situation with professionalism and empathy, which helped mend the negative impression left the night before. In the end, the team at MKT did make a concerted effort to recover from the service lapse, and we appreciated their acknowledgment and follow-through. However, the initial experience—especially being ignored so blatantly—left a lasting mark on what could have been an otherwise flawless stay.

Yelp
You never go wrong I. Selecting this hotel company. Very accommodating, comfy, attentive. The food and rooftop views are quite inviting. My Mom was blown away by the city at night

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at the Four Seasons! I stayed for my wedding weekend and I could have not been more pleased. From their customer service and engagement at check in to our experience at the restaurant we felt very cared for. The room was very clean, spacious and we had a wonderful view. Everything you can think of is in walking distance. This is such a great location in proximity to the heart of Union Square. -1 star because the lady working during our check out did not pass the vibe check. Everyone had been so kind, welcoming and friendly it was such a culture shock to be met with her. Otherwise, I would definitely book again and I look forward to staying at four seasons in other city's.

Yelp
Arguably one of the best hotels in the city, beautiful and modern interiors, nicely appointed rooms, great location, in case you have no car or don't want to pay for exorbitant valet parking fees Powell St BART station is nearby, house car is available within a mile radius (first come first serve), proper doorman at all entrances, great restaurant and bar, knowledgeable Concierge, personalized service, though Four Seasons has no official "loyalty" program, they keep track of guests preferences, and they are very good following up any special requests at any other their hotels. On my December 2023 stay, I was very pleased that this hotel continues to uphold the highest standards of service , and cleanliness, in an industry that was basically obliterated during the pandemic, and committed to provide their absolute best to every guest. I had only one let down during my stay, sadly is a big one, my bed (Four Seasons after famous for their comfortable beds) was not comfortable, I am sure if I had called the front desk, they would have moved me to a nicer room, I just don't like the hassle of moving after I am settled, as mentioned above they specifically ask in advance what kind of bed guests like, plush, "standard, or firm, they also have an extensive pillow menu. Independently of how many stars has or price point, a good comfortable mattress, and cleanness should be their priority, I have stayed at this location pre and post pandemic and never had any issues, and don't expect to have them in future visits either. They are very good at what they do, and a great choice if you plan to visit San Francisco and what a centrally located high end hotel. Happy travels.

Yelp
You walk in and smell a beautiful very inviting scent. Gorgeous yellow hydrangeas everywhere. No trashcans to be found. Ones in the room unlined. Tesla car charge fee $30 - whereas this was complimentary at the Ritz. No Netflix on the tv. Nightmare to pair phone with tv to stream tv apps. They use a 1-star rated MyAway app which failed to pair using the authentication code on both an iPhone and android. Rooms are pretty and spacious. I personally liked the newer, modern Four Seasons on Embarcadero from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city!

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay from 5/2/24 through 5/3/24. The property was great (I mean, it's a Four Seasons) and so many aspects of the service was fantastic from start to finish. - Doorman: The doorman escorted me to the elevator I needed to take to the lobby on the 5th floor, rather than just pointing me to the elevator. I appreciate these finer points of service. Later, when waiting for an Uber pickup, another doorman made sure to let me know of an alternate address I should use for the Uber driver to meet me at the correct location, which was super helpful. - Reception: The receptionist was super helpful and accommodated my early check-in request (I think it was before 10 AM) without any fuss. I asked her a bunch of questions about potentially extending my stay and she was very helpful with that as well. - Room Service: Room service was super quick and efficient, and it felt like the server really cared about setting up my meal and table just so. - Housekeeping: Later, when I was ready for the table containing my empty dishes to be picked up, I left my door propped open. Someone from housekeeping happened to pass by and was quick to ask me if everything was okay because my door was propped open. I told her I was waiting for the table and dishes to be taken out and she offered to do it right away even though that wasn't technically her job. It's not often people volunteer to do things that aren't her job so I was really impressed to see that. I really hope hotel management sees this review and takes the time to acknowledge their awesome team. I really appreciate great customer service, and what I experienced was top notch. I am looking forward to another reason to visit San Francisco and opportunity to stay at the Four Seasons!

Yelp
One of the largest hotel chains in the world, you will probably feel comfortable here and it was founded by a family of builders, I hope here we pay money to those who built it, and not to real estate speculators (which is always more expensive and of lower quality)!

Yelp
After staying in tiny Paris hotel rooms recently, this felt like how the other half live. The rooms are really nice with contemporary design, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the service is great. We didn't really have any issues to deal with the staff, but everyone we spoke to was incredibly service-oriented. The bathrooms could use a refresh, but they are a nice size and laid out well. The lobbies were spectacular with little trees everywhere you looked with the scent of pine throughout. I'm not sure if it was actually the trees that smelled so wonderful or an added scent, but it smelled natural. I'm kicking myself for not getting a photo when we walked in at night. It was magical. My favorite part, besides the fact that this particular four seasons is much more reasonably-priced than most others, is that they gave every guest on New Year's Eve the coolest edible chocolate, new year's-themed sculptures in the rooms. It was such a cute and nice touch.

Yelp
Yelp Fam! Wow, this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had! The staff was nice, accommodating & helpful. My wife and I were going to get married in California, one of our stops was San Francisco. (Pro tip SF has 2 Four Seasons verify the address!) Upon checking in we were greeted and helped promptly. We received a free upgrade with an amazing view of the city. Our bags were taken To our room ,a fresh bucket of ice & some bubbles followed. The spacious suite really started our vacation off the right way. I would stay here again 10/10!

Yelp
I loved the views from my hotel room. Its very pricey but it out weighed the location in the city. We grabbed a drink at the hotel bar down stairs and then hit the downstairs bar around the corner for a midnight cap. It was epic for a romantic night out and some kissing in the rain! Won't forget this venue for a lifetime!

Yelp

Yelp
Amazing from check-in to check-out. Friendly & funny checkin staff. Immaculate cleanliness. Delicious room service with ample accommodations for food allergies. Soft high-quality bed sheets. Comfortable mattress. Lavish bathroom with a huge tub for bath bombs. Clean windows provide a great view of the bay. No flaws. Highly recommended. Yelp
An almost flawless experience at this establishment celebrating my birthday (4.5 stars). The hubby surprised me with a mini trip to SF and he couldn't have picked a better hotel for us to stay. Arrival and check in were straightforward and we got upgraded to a suite. The room had a modern yet comfortable design and was very clean. I loved the padded branches along the windowsill that allowed us to lounge and soak up some sun while getting a great view of downtown Market Street as well ad the Yerba Buena Gardens. A small walk-in closet provided some room to hang up my "gowns" lol. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to fall asleep instantly, which is rare for me. Because of the prize, I'm being a little more nitpicky: -Unlike some of the other folks, I didn't get any birthday treats or even acknowledgement, even though my hubby mentioned this during his reservation. -While there were iPhone chargers in the room, none of them seem to work with my 12Pro. We called maintenance and his didn't work either. The hotel offered to run out to buy one for us and charge it to the room, but I'd rather have functional chargers. -They offer a free car service, but it didn't start until 6pm. Given that our reservations were at 6, we had to Uber. No biggie -We ordered in-room breakfast. The guy brining the food up did a great job setting the table. But when I tried the provided ketchup (don't judge me, it's good on hash browns), it tasted stale and was thick. I think it may have been sitting out a while, so I passed. Other that that, the hotel, and especially the staff, did an amazing job making our stay amazing. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I had an incredible stay at the Four Seasons Hotel on Market Street in San Francisco. I was captivated by the elegance and comfort of the lobby and suites from the moment I arrived. The attention to detail in the design and amenities truly exceeded my expectations. The check-in experience was seamless and welcoming, setting the tone for my entire stay. The staff exhibited a rare level of professionalism, making me feel like a valued guest from start to finish. The management's dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction, ensuring I had everything I needed for a memorable stay. Speaking of memorable, the food and beverage offerings were nothing short of exceptional. The culinary creations were a delightful journey for my taste buds, and the selection of options catered to various preferences. The commitment to quality and presentation truly stood out. My time at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco was a testament to their commitment to excellence. This experience solidified my appreciation for top-tier hospitality and fueled my passion for travel, especially with Four Seasons Hotels. As someone who values attentive and proactive hotel experiences, I can confidently say that the Four Seasons San Francisco has set a new standard for me. I can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories. Date of stay: August 2023 Room tip: Do not avoid the restaurant or Bar; it's a lively scene. Treat yourself to a Four Seasons Executive Suite; you'll love the space and views. Trip type: Business Trip

Yelp
This review is long overdue, but I wanted to leave an amazing review for a Bellman named John. My family and I stayed at the property for one night in early June. After we had checked out, my sister noticed she was missing her iPhone charger. She called the hotel and spoke to someone from front desk asking if they could please check the room to see if her charger was left behind. Unfortunately the person she spoke to was highly rude and seemed extremely lazy because they did not want to ask the housekeeper who cleaned the room if they happened to see the charger. This person even hung up the phone without saying goodbye or anything. We had to go back to the property in person. The Bellman went above and beyond to assist us. He was able to track down the housekeeper who serviced our room and was able to find my sister's charger. Such a simple task that did not take that long but yet the first person did not want to be bothered by our request.

This was my first time at a Four Seasons Hotel but it will certainly not be my last! I am still amazed by the staff and their ability to go above and beyond. I also loved the design of the space, our room in particular. Although my fiancé and I were only here for one night before our travel to Napa Valley, it's one of our most memorable stays. Kudos from Maryland!!

Yelp
One of the best run hotels in the City. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The staff is incredibly well trained. From the moment you get out of your Uber at the front door to the front desk staff they all make you feel so welcome and helpful. Kyle and his fellow concierge all made great suggestions during our stay. The room amenities are wonderful. Great soaps and towels and robes all very luxurious. The location is so central we walked everywhere. Close to museums and Ferry Building and Chinatown. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Yelp
Seamless service & great location. Everything(Target, high street, SF Clocktower, Dragon's Gate) is in a walking distance and you won't expect much danger from the streets nearby. If you're looking for a nice brunch spot near the hotel, try The Grove Yerba Buena. It's super tasty and popular, we happened to pop in for our Sunday brunch and loved there. The hotel's MKT Restaurant & Bar is a great choice for dining as it's located on the lobby floor and super tasty as well. Hotel gym is big and located right next to the Spa. Everything is convenient. I was not impressed about the room's walk in shower booth because it wasn't super functional... but still it's spotless and spacious. Bathroom's electricity buttons& switch could be a bit tricky too. So please ask your bellman how to manage them, they're very professional and they know all facilities very well.

Yelp
Gorgeous property, impeccable service, wonderful amenities, beautiful and very clean rooms, access to a connected four story Equinox gym, and a wonderful restaurant that serves really delicious food and can stand up to the other great restaurants in the city (not just a good hotel restaurant). We received free upgrades for our rooms - just because. Front desk and room service were all just completely 5 star in terms of service. Remembers our preferences, takes care of requests right away. The gym was amazing. I went every single day I stayed at the hotel. The access to equinox is such an amazing perk. Furniture and decor in rooms are completely five star and this hotel boasts a gorgeous view of the financial district. It's a very safe part of SF too, and easy to get to other places including other locations in the city or the east bay. I highly recommend this property. You'll really be able to relax and enjoy yourself here whether you're here for work or leisure.

Yelp
Came here after long road trip from La to see our last Oakland Raiders Game In Oakland before they move to Vegas. Stayed one night and was impressed.. first of all the lobby has a a unique smell reminded me of the Venetian in Vegas. Something along the lines of fresh flowers, very good. I could see fresh water lemon water ready available and we were checked in very quickly. We were escorted to elavator and then we went to our spacious room. Room had a great view of the city and also came with some coffee and water bottles. We only stayed overnight but had a great time and visit.

Yelp
Flew in for the weekend Bc my husband had a tattoo appointment. We loved the location. Great spot. Booked under the FHR program and received a 2 tier upgrade, a $60 breakfast credit and a $100 food and beverage credit. The lady who checked us in seemed tired and not engaging. Gave us the wrong info for the bar and restaurant hours Sat at the bar for some cocktails. The espresso martini was excellent. The hotel car took us to dinner, for free. Love FREE. The service at the restaurant was bad for breakfast. $140 for breakfast for 2. The only points this hotel gets is the location. I will stay here again Bc of that. This was our first time staying at the FS San Fran.

Yelp
Not worth the money for breakfast. We expected a beautiful experience with ambiance and a delightful menu- this was not the case. There was absolutely NOTHING special about the dining area. Yes, there is a view out to the street but the seating area looked like a nondescript roadside diner. So disappointing. The menu was minimal and very conventional except for the prices - ($100 for two people and, seriously, this was NOTHING special). Only wish we would have gone elsewhere. FYI: We did not stay at the hotel; we only went for breakfast. Our other experiences at Four Seasons hotels has been stellar. And, I hear, the other Four Seasons in SF would have provided the unique experience we were expecting.

Yelp
We recently stayed and held our wedding at the Four Seasons on April 1, 2023. The Four Seasons team made sure my partner and I had the most amazing stay possible. All of the staff made sure to get to know us and our families. A special shout out to Kent in the bell men department. Heather Cassidy Martin, along with our wedding planner, made sure the evening went off without any issues. All of our guests loved the space, the food, and the service. The team at the Four Seasons San Francisco are absolutely amazing at what they do. My partner and I are excited to come back next year to celebrate our 1 year anniversary at this beautiful hotel. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding look no further. Four Seasons San Francisco is the perfect place to hold your wedding or event.

Yelp
No, no, no, no!!! In light of this Covid19 pandemic, this hotel refuses to give us a refund ($500/night)!!! Mayors in every major cities, especially in San Francisco, are declaring a state of emergency; and this establishment refuses to let us cancel our reservations (refund or credit otherwise) ??!!! The audacity of them to have us to come to their hotel with the possibility to infect others or get infected ourselves is outrageous! Shame on you Four Seasons!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you are willing to risk the health of your hotel staff and guests over $1000. GREED!!!! SHAME ON YOU!

Yelp
They have reopened!!! We were so excited to see that they were back up and running. Service was on point and rooms were in prestige condition. We were celebrating my Birthday and it did not disappoint. We had an executive suite with awesome views of the downtown and the bay.

Yelp
What can I say about the 4 Seasons that hasn't already been said? The service is absolutely impeccable, I regularly tell my employees how exceptional their service is and how we should try to emulate our customer service after theirs. The room was immaculate but I can't get over how every single employee that my wife and I came into contact with (the weekend that we stayed there) was absolutely top notch! Keep up the great work 4 Seasons because you've essentially mastered what I would describe as a luxurious guest experience! We will be back!

Yelp
Oh FS San Fran, how I do I love thee, let me count the ways! This hotel is EXCELLENT. It was a welcome respite after a few long hard days of driving the coast and pushing my body to the limits as far as sightseeing. It is a bit confusing to find the valet/parking when you are driving in - the google map and addresses provided don't take you to the actual parking garage apparently - fortunately I used the map app from the FS app on my phone and it took me directly to the valet parking where I was able to have my bags unloaded and not worry about my car again for three blissful days in the city where I walked and rode the street cars! I have yet to arrive at a FS property where I don't feel relaxed immediately and like I am going to be taken care of and have no more worries. I know they pride themselves on this and it's why I continue to spend loads of money to stay at these hotels. My bags were whisked away while I was checked into the hotel and provided with some delicious peach sweet tea. My VIP travel agent was able to get me a room upgrade for my birthday and I had a lovely city-view corner suite king room with a long private hallway, large room, huge bathroom and closet with a cake and note waiting for me. I had room service breakfast while I stayed and loved it. I had smoothies and acai bowls and their delicious banana bread with warm tea. I also ate at the bar and their on-site restaurant. The location can't be beat - it's right in the center of everything on Market Street and you can walk to tons and tons of high end shopping like Dior and Ferragamo just to name a few off the top of my head. You can also walk to the city buses and trolleys to get around town so you won't have to move your car. Valet is $67 a night and to date is the most expensive I have ever paid - I thought Washington D.C. was bad but I paid $50 there... I'm sure there is something worse somewhere but I have yet to encounter it so FS San Fran holds that honor for now.... lol. I stopped by the concierge desk for my bearings as I always do to get a city map and discuss my plans to see what they suggest and I had such a pleasant experience. I spoke to a few people who gave me excellent suggestions, gave me a map, and then printed me suggestions for the days after I left and things I should see as I continued up the coast to Sonoma/Napa. A beautiful hotel and a wonderful experience with excellent staff. If I return to San Fran this is the only place I will stay. Promise!

Yelp
Four Seasons never disappoint. Great turn out in the bar area, watched the Niners game. Duck fat fries, Mai Tai, and cocktails *don't forget H2O Open seatings + very comfy sofas. Clean with very friendly service. Huge L-shape bar. Plenty of tables for larger crowd. Restroom is right around the corner. Can't go wrong here. Enjoy!

Yelp
Four seasons, simply the best. Have been all around the world several times in their hotels. Salad dressing in Louie was a little bland, missing something. Impossible burger was fantastic. Tea lovely.

Yelp
Napa Approved! I love this hotel! The service is amazing. Everyone makes you feel like royalty and they pay so much attention to the little details! My humans and I arrived at the hotel with out car and the valet noticed some empty sodas in our cup holder and he asked if he could throw them away! Amazing! Our room was a corner unit on the 12th floor with beautiful views from the sides of the room. We had some room service for breakfast and it was also amazing! I added pictures so you can just see for yourself!

Yelp
The amenities here are great. The lobby decor isn't stuffy. The approach to the desk is amusingly ostentatious. It's a bit of a quest to find the lobby and desk. I had arrived in town late, without a hotel reservation, and had gotten awhile meal spilled on me in transit. So I was not looking my best. I needed an emergency shower before an important noon meeting after a more hellish than usual flight to SFO where my bags were lost. Four Seasons was the only hotel that could get me immediately into a room at 9:30 in the morning. They also helped get my suit pressed, and got me a fresh shirt. All while I had a shower and breakfast. That was superlative service. The room was great as you'd expect. But the way staff helped me pull things together was really exceptional. I have since relocated to San Francisco. I still pop in to enjoy the vibe in the public areas.

Yelp
Luxury at it's finest. When you enter the room you go "Aaahhhhhhh" and breath a sigh of relief. They have thought of every detail. The housekeeper wrapped my charging cord with the cutest logo'd band. I loved the scent of shampoo and conditioner. The bedding was extremely comfortable. 5 star stay for certain. Thank you!

Yelp
I would have given this hotel 5 stars but taking away 2 stars due to my terrible Equinox gym experience. Guests at this hotel use the Equinox gym that's connected to the hotel, but the poor customer service at the Equinox brings down the rating of the hotel. Gym staff treated me like a 1 star guest even though I just wanted to get in for a quick workout and then get on with my day. I worked out on 11/11/21 @ around 4 pm. The gym male receptionist was chauvinistic and clearly racist against Asians as he demanded to card me while letting his fellow white people pass without getting carded for their vaccination. When I showed him my vaccination card without my ID, he made me go back to my room to get my ID for verification. I would not gave minded doing this if he required this of every guest, but I watched him let his fellow white people go into the gym without the criteria he enforced upon me. Everything else about the hotel went well... hotel staff (excluding the gym) was kind, courteous, and honest. Room service was rapid and check in/check out was efficient.

Yelp
Sadly this place is closed until April 2021. I wanted to send a friend a gift card for the holidays here and called to ask about the hours at the shops. The surrounding area is gentrifying but has great shopping. Market can get sketchy with pandemic-ghost-town streets.

Yelp
Updating my review. Nana Hattori the manager reached out to me about my not so great stay. She asked if she could make it up to me somehow. I mentioned that I was coming back to San Francisco for my sisters wedding the following month. She helped me book and from start to finish Nana made my stay amazing. From the moment my plane landed she inquired about my time of arrival to make sure that she was personally there to greet me. She took us to our suites and there was a lovely plate of fruit and yummy goodies with a "welcome to San Diego" greeting. This is the level of service I am accustomed to receiving at the Four Seasons chain. Nana and her staff made sure this stay was amazing and treated me and my family exceptionally well. Thank you for a wonderful experience, it really made up for my prior stay. Side note: as a guest you have full access to the Equinox gym which was pretty cool.

Yelp
We have had the good fortune to stay at the Four Seasons several times but even when we are not guests at the hotel, we make it a point to come to the bar. Marcus and his team always do an amazing job of making us feel like we are part of the local scene. The drinks and food and ambience are on point. And, mist of all, the service is not to be missed.

Yelp
Very good service and a perfect place to hold a dinner gala or a wedding. The venue is very clean and spacious. The location is very convenient for people in the city. I was here for a dinner gala and the food was delicious! The staff was very attentive and professional.

Yelp
Honestly one of the nicest luxury hotels ever with top notch service The inside of the hotel is so pretty and spotless. I came here for an organization gala and I was super impressed. I have stayed in my fair share of nice hotels but this place tops them all. The bathroom has a super nice marble interior, many many mirrors and the floor is literally so clean, it shines. The venue itself is very nice with a spectacular view and the reception desk was super nice. Every time I was lost, the people in the front was happy to help and always answered with a warm smile. I also tried their food for my gala's dinner and I was very impressed with their quality of food. The dessert was eh in my opinion but everything else was superb. 10/10 for service and 10/10 for interior quality I also had a chance to go inside a friend's room and for its price, it was kinda small but still really clean. The only con about this place is the hotel room space but it makes up for it in many other ways. I definitely will stay in other Four Season hotels if I ever decide to travel

Yelp
Include my stay at the Turnike Motel in NoWhere, Kentucky, I can safely say I have never seen a hotel (or motel) run more poorly than the San Francisco Four Seasons Hotel. 1. Since Saturday, every room service order has been wrong. EVERY TIME. 2. Your turkey burger is inedible- dry, unseasoned and not fresh. When I call In-room dining, she asks me whether I used the half-cup of goop served on the side. She then argued that if I didn't opt for the cheese on the replacement grilled chicken it would be overcooked and dry like the turkey burger. 3. The sheets are stained with urine and human feces. I would vomit right now, but I doubt anyone would clean it. It would be unkind to the next guests... Or homeless shelter kind enough to lend you bed linens.

Yelp
Love love love Best service. Everyone is always so kind and up up and beyond. Rooms are beautiful, well sized and so so clean. Restaurant is delicious. We loved this hotel and will definitely keep coming back Four seasons in general is top most accommodating hotel branch out there. San Fran location is no different - you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. :) Highly recommended it.

Yelp
SUPERB customer service ! This is my second time at the Four Seasons SF. Just love this place . Upon arrival this time , EVELYN was so sweet and helpful during the check-in. EVELYN went far and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible ! For my surprise , got a knock on the door while I was waiting for my husband who was seeing patients in San Mateo, a complimentary Champagne and chocolate strawberries ! Just AMAZING! Thank you EVELYN ! Thank you Four Seasons !

Yelp
This contemporary high rise is home to the movers and shakers of Silicon Valley, and the modern lobby is a stomping ground of business activity where you'll often find tech-preneurs meeting to discuss the next round of investing while boomers saunter in and out for retirement activities. The hospitality here is the best in the business and you'll quickly start feeling like crypto royalty with how well they treat you. The only downside was the spa, as it's situated in a busy gym, so not exactly relaxing. But if you're in town on business and want high-end hipness. Book a room.

Yelp
This hotel is fabulous. Great location for walking to all kinds of cool shops, restaurants and cafes. Rooms are great! Staff offers impeccable attention to detail and they hosted our very large group with ease. Catered food was an 8.5 and up. Doormen are friendly and helpful. Plenty of elevators and they all work so you'll experience efficiency in moving about the property. Security of being in this hotel was also great. This place is about infinite levels above the lack of hospitality and lack of professionalism that I experienced in their Las Vegas property. They are like two entirely different brands! Thank goodness. To this place - I'll return.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful hotel we were on the 10th floor looking over market Street in San Francisco, It is a very busy city the hotel sits in the financial district. The accommodations are fantastic with the doorman letting you in and out every day, if it's a rainy day he's got umbrellas for you to borrow for the day. There is a lot of people that walk up and down the streets you can see the major department stores from the ground floor Macy's, Nieman Marcus and several other large high-end stores. The room is stocked with a full refrigerator at your disposal, snacks, drinks and alcohol, you pay for what you use. The concierge desk is very helpful to get you where you want to go and places to see. There is a courtesy car that will take you to local restaurants and entertainment close by. The security is pretty tight and this hotel you have to go through two different sets of elevators to get up to your room that is very helpful and made us feel very safe. The view from are window seats was fantastic. The room is like a one bedroom apartment and of course you pay for this luxury. This was very enjoyable and a special treat. .

Yelp
If you are visiting San Francisco then Four Seasons is the place to stay. On our last trip we booked The St Regis and it was nice, but FS is better. We breezed in with no difficulty, and our room is great. The views of San Francisco are fabulous, we can we walk to St Patrick's Church, as well as Yerba Buena Gardens. There is a roof top bar with more spectacular views. The room is stocked with every amenity imaginable, and the staff are all great.

Yelp
An overdue review now that we have stayed here twice. This place just gets everything right...from asking ahead of time what special requests you have and doing their best to accommodate them (early check-in in our case), to having a beautiful and perfectly clean room with beautiful views, to their fantastic service no matter the hour, and all the little things in between...they cover it all. My wife and I felt spoiled both times we stayed and look forward to our next opportunity to stay here.

Yelp
Came here for my anniversary trip and four seasons went beyond our expectations. Was offered an upgrade at a discounted price and absolutely loved the 10th floor executive suite. Upon arrival our room had chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Prosecco with a card congratulating us on our anniversary. We were amazed and thankful for this gesture and let me tell you those strawberries were so perfect and that bottle was also of quality so a big thank you for that. The service is here phenomenal. Thank you four seasons.
