Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen

"How did it strike you on arrival? The sky-high lobby of the 233-room Four Seasons Shenzhen first strikes you as a business hotel with an artsy bent, thanks to the enormous vertical paintings and geode-shaped reception desks. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Given the hotel’s Futian district address, right across the street from the busy Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, the Four Seasons is the go-to for international execs. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Inside the 26-story tower, colorful rooms feature an uplifting and somewhat unexpected aesthetic—contemporary Chinese brushwork murals, purple carpets, and pops of green. Even entry-level Deluxe Rooms are outfitted with large picture windows, a spacious workstation, ergonomic desk chairs, and pretty wood paneling. Club Rooms have the added benefit of Executive Lounge access, which serves breakfast, all-day snacks, and evening cocktails. It's a wonderful, spacious refuge for time-poor travelers. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?You can look forward to snuggling up on a king-size bed with a fluffy duvet. The hotel also provides a pillow menu and hypoallergenic linens on request. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Terry cloth bathrobes, marble floors, a TV-embedded mirror, double vanities, and a deep soaking tub... the bathroom situation is gold standard. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel will make work a breeze. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Designed to feel like an urban garden, the hotel has lots of little courtyards and green spaces that will help travelers forget they’re in the middle of one of China’s most happening cities. But if you need a bit more help unwinding, there’s also a full-service spa, two pools, morning tai chi, a gym, and a yoga studio. As for food, you'll find four restaurants scattered throughout the hotel: FOO specializes in Asian-inspired international cuisine; Zhuo Yue Xuan serves Cantonese cuisine in a fine-dining setting; and Yi Bar & Lounge promises all-day dining, sophisticated high tea, and evening cocktails on the pretty outdoor terrace. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Despite being in the middle of one of China’s busiest cities, the Four Seasons Shenzhen manages to feel like a Zen sanctuary with its outdoor terraces and artsy design. Bottom line: worth it, and why?For a luxurious stay in a Central location, the Four Seasons Shenzhen combines the brand's famously top-notch service with upbeat interiors." - Kate Springer

My family and I recently enjoyed a wonderful three night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Shenzhen. The staff were exceptional, with excellent English communication skills and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. The service was impeccable, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel's location is ideal, with easy access to numerous shopping malls, a wide variety of restaurants, and convenient public transportation options. The overall experience was truly outstanding. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon.

We, a group of 5, booked 2 Club Grand Rooms but got upgraded to 2 Suites on Christmas Day, overnight stay. Initially delighted for the upgrades, only later excited to be in the spacious room with 2 toilets and a BIG bath (must experience). The services on the Club Floor was the best in all branded hotel names. For breakfast, I would go to the 6th floor where your needs would be catered for. ENJOY!

Very comfortable hotel with amazing pool, gym and lounge at 29th floor. However, rooms are a bit dated and smelly - had to ask for air purifier and room change, which spoiled my experience. Staff handles issues quite poorly, which was disappointing. Quite good value for money. Most of the staff speaks some English, but don't expect fluent conversations. Lounge team was amazing.

Top! (this review excludes spa gym and outdoor areas. unfortunately didn't have time for that) Great welcome from Mr. Cyrus fok and 2 other employees who spoke English very well. You were immediately addressed by name and immediately felt at home. The location is excellent. Absolutely perfect. To the big metro station 10 CNY To the biggest electronics market in the world 10 CNY 2 big malls (without exaggeration) 2 minutes walk maximum from the hotel! There are really a lot of highlights nearby. In-room dining was top. Downstairs the long hallway with the gigantic large pictures Is simply impressive and very nice to look at. The negative point for me was the breakfast and the poor English skills of most of the employees. I would like to highlight the special service, ambition and impulsiveness of one employee, Mr. SOLONN LI. It was unbelievable - very rarely have I experienced something like this, how much this person did everything to make me feel comfortable and did everything to make my life easier, whether it was ordering or booking tickets via his private account because I don't have Alipay, WeChat etc.. or answered other sometimes complicated questions for me, looked at where and when certain shows were, compared prices, just everything! Every FS employee Worldwide could learn something from HIM!!! ;) Conclusion: good hotel! It definitely needs renovation in many places but to be honest I found it impressive considering that this building opened over 10 years ago! It just wouldn't be fair to compare it with hotels that only opened 3/4 or 5 years ago. The staff were very nice and tried hard even if the English skills were lacking in some places. Give the hotel a chance, the price/performance ratio is right.

This was probably one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The staff did an amazing job, the place was spotless, and the location was excellent. For me, it’s not about the issue itself but how it’s handled. Our room had a slight oversight, but the staff resolved it immediately. Not only did they fix the problem, but they also elevated our experience from good to great. I would definitely go back—the breakfast buffet is fantastic!

The staff here really make it an incredibly pleasant accomodation to stay. Particular highlights:-Spacious rooms with good amenities-Very comfortable bed-Exceptional service, care and attention to detail from staff. The staff go out of their way to help, get to know you and make your stay pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised that the Front Office Manager, Susan came to discuss my internet speed issue that I'd noted on a hotel survey, just the night before, when I was at breakfast. I'll definitely stay here again, next time I'm in Shenzhen.
