Four Seasons Retreat

We have an adult daughter in a wheelchair so finding places that can accommodate her needs as well as the ability to accommodate 7 of us is always hard. We were glad we found this hidden gem. The cottage was accessible and big enough to house us all. It was a beautiful property,very peaceful and every cottage has privacy. We were able to wheel our daughter to the pool to watch our grandchildren swim..Most of the cottages have water views of the ocean but ours did not so there was a short trail to take you to the ocean,but it was very hard to push a wheelchair through. The owners encourage privacy for all guests staying in the other cottages so they ask you to not walk through other cottage properties. The owner was nice enough to let us know that there was nobody in one of the cottages so that we could push our daughters wheelchair through that cottage yard to get to the ocean. We were able to take her to the ocean to watch the moon rise. The only thing that could have made our visit better would have been a harder surface on the trail to the ocean and an umbrella on the pool level because we couldn't get her up to the level that had shade near the pool. The cottage was fully stocked and had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms...one of which had a roll in shower...we had a fire every evening and enjoyed exploring the ocean floor at low tide...my grandkids swam in the ocean as well as the lovely warm pool...we also enjoyed the hot tub...the scenery is beautiful with lots of trees for shade. There are lovely flower gardens and the grounds are extremely well kept. There were lots of wildlife and the peace and quiet was an added bonus.

Hey, we stayed at a well appointed cottage at Four Seasons Retreat with a grand view over Cobequid Bay and the fascinating tidal changes, with walks on the beach (at Low Tide of course), star gazing, and great campfires. The owners are most helpful and friendly and the accommodation fully equip for our stay. We had been here before - once in winter with snow to enjoy - and shall return. Fear not - the local Store and fish market in Five Islands is not far away and great hiking opportunities abound in this perfectly located retreat!

We enjoyed a 3 day family reunion at Four Seasons at the end of December 2024. There were twenty of us in four cabins. We had a wonderful time hiking, walking for the older ones, playing games, doing puzzles, singing together, and for each other. We watched videos and slides of us at Four Seasons when the seven cousins, now in their 20s were babies. It is a different experience this time around. WiFi, and T.V. are now available, but the warm firewood stoves are still there. The cabins were spotless, and all tastefully redecorated, beds very comfortable, and the kitchens were stocked with all the appliances, dishes, pots, etc. that were needed. Thank you, Greg. We will be back!

Just returned home yesterday from a two night stay at Four Seasons Retreat with some friends at work for a girls weekend. We had the best time!!! Very, very impressed with the property and the cabin. It was absolutely immaculate, very clean and well maintained. It was well equipped with everything we would need. The beds were very comfortable. Such a beautiful spot for a get away!! It was so peaceful and quiet, which is nice when you want some down time. My husband and I are thinking of a little getaway here as well. The pool and hot tub deck was very clean and also well maintained. And we enjoyed a relaxing few hours poolside. Our view was amazing!! Our only complaint was that we didn't book another night, we hated to leave!! We will be back!! We highly recommend this place for a family vacation or a little get away!! Beautiful property, and beautifuly renovated cottages. We visited for a couple of days this week. Quiet, comfortable, well appointed cottages. Very clean. View of Fundy is spectacular, the owner is very kind and helpful. Can say enough about Four Seasons Retreat, do your self a favour, go, you wont regret it.

First time visiting Four Seasons left us wondering what took us so long to get there. Recently renovated well designed cottage overlooking the Bay of Fundy with so much spectacular scenery and history to explore nearby. We just completed a 3-night stay and would highly recommend Four Seasons to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing and very comfortable destination. Greg was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. What can I say. The spectacular views and warm hospitality says it all. I just spent 3 wonderful nights tucked away in this cozy treat by the Bay. I love coming here on my own to recharge and reflect. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven ❤️.

My husband and I recently stayed a night at these cottages! The cottage was spotless, comfortable and more than accommodating with amenities needed to make our stay the least complicated packing wise. The location is very quiet, relaxed and gorgeous. Each cottage has its own yard to create a private serene feeling and our cottage had waterfront overlooking the minus basin with a beach access just a few feet away. The owners of the cottages were extremely friendly beautiful people who were very attentive with any needs to make sure the stay was enjoyable. Upon driving into the cottages we were greeted with gorgeous gardens and landscaping. The only suggestion that I can have is to have signs along the lane coming in to point out where the office to check in is located. We most certainly will be staying here again!

Gorgeous cottages overlooking the water. 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units available. They're affordable and well-kept. The view of the water is unbeatable (and when the tide is out you can walk down and stroll along the ocean shore!). We love these so much that we've been there twice in the last month. Economy isn't too far from Halifax, so you don't feel like you're killing much time in travel. But it's far enough that you feel like you're far from home and away from it all. There are three Bernese Mountain Dogs that roam the property and love making friends with guests. The owners are friendly, and the duty manager Warren couldn't possibly be more helpful and happy to make your stay the best possible. I really can't recommend these cottages highly enough. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

I stayed here a few years ago and was very impressed. We were on vacation driving along a stretch of road looking for a place to stay and finding none for quite a stretch of highway. We happened upon this place only to find them full. The people were so nice, and after some calls they found us a place in Parrsboro. We were impressed with the place and decided to return the next day for a night. That one extra day turned into three extra days. The cabins are very well equipped, clean and reasonably priced. It's right on the bay and the tides are amazing. We definitely plan to return some day.
