Four Square Mackenzie

Undoubtedly the best 4square in the country. Plenty of free range, organic and natural produce. Great variety, friendly staff, a very obliging owner, plenty of parking and all surrounded by snow cap mountains. You'ld have to be nuts to shop anywhere else.

As a visitor to Twizel, I was pleasantly surprised by Four Square Twizel. Despite its relatively small size, the supermarket is impressively well-stocked. The shop offers a fantastic selection of groceries, including fresh produce, regular fresh fish, and a variety of locally sourced food-to-go options. The in-store bakery and butchery were added bonuses. What stood out the most was the friendly and welcoming staff, who made my shopping experience truly enjoyable. Four Square Twizel is a wonderful place to shop for both locals and visitors alike.

We did our groceries shopping here after leaving Mount Cook. They have a spacious carpark for EVs charging and even accommodating campervans. The staff were friendly and helpful. We took a considerable amount of time to look through the items they had. Even though varieties aren't as much as Countdown or Pak N Save, it does serve its purposes by providing convenience for people to buy their groceries where bigger chain stores aren't available.

Excellent selection here!! Lots of meats and cheese options, and a well stocked ice cream fridge too :) Not sure why it is cheaper than the other Four Square round the corner.

There are 2 four square outlets in the Twizel town center, within 200 meters walking distance. This Four Square Mackenzie is the bigger outlet, with more parking spaces, at prime location. The store obviously is more spacious and has more variety, clean and well stocked. Wish there were more staff helping at the cashier, the wait was long even on a weekday during off peak hours.

Great selection of freshly baked goods sweet and savoury - we had something different each day to take on our way to Mt Cook!
