Foursquare Rum Distillery

As a Rum enthusiast, I was disappointed by the visit at Foursquare. No guided tour is organised, but you can tour the distillery on your own. However, you do not get the chance to see closely stills. We had a tasting experience in the shop, which was nice. Unfortunately, none of the special release was available for purchase at the shop. Overall, if you are planning the visit as a rum enthusiast is suggested to call the shop before visiting to ask if the special editions are available for purchase to avoid bad surprises.

It probably goes without saying that if you are a fan of Rum this is a must do visit. Our guided tour was exceptionally informative and Rum tasting was the highlight of my visit to Barbados. The rum they make at Four Square are top notch and really was impressed by the exceptional range they produce here. It was excellent to be able to try some of the higher end rums I wouldn't normally get and was blown away with the 10year old RL Seales...my new favourite drink

Our tasting experience at Foursquare Rum Distillery was truly exceptional, largely thanks to our amazing host! She went above and beyond by personalizing our tasting based on our preferences, which we greatly appreciated. She also shared fascinating facts and educated us thoroughly about rum, including the unique characteristic of Foursquare's spiced rum being the only one without added sugar – the hand demonstration was a fantastic and convincing touch! The tasting was undoubtedly the highlight of our visit. Our guide even kindly offered to take a picture of us, which was a lovely gesture and a great souvenir. The distillery itself is set in a charming location, and we appreciated the freedom to explore the grounds at our own pace. However, the self-guided tour could be improved with clearer signage. We found ourselves a bit unsure of the designated areas, as the mentioned yellow arrows were not immediately obvious. Thankfully, a helpful employee noticed our confusion and kindly guided us. Despite this navigational hiccup, the outstanding tasting and the overall atmosphere make Foursquare a worthwhile visit for rum enthusiasts.

Super cool place. Must visit if you like rum. It's a self guided tour which gives you lots of freedom to look around the place. The downside of that is that it can get a bit confusing about where you can and can't explore because it is an operating distillery. The signs say to follow the yellow footsteps. Unfortunately, there are no yellow footsteps. I'm not sure if that used to be a thing. Well worth a visit. The tasting at the Copper Still Bar was also awesome.

Informative and friendly! We did the free walk through and settled at the bar for some rum tastings. The guide/ bartenders were helpful, friendly and engaging. No complaints at all. I highly recommend this for your vacation.

Visited here today (Independence Day) having booked a tour and tasting along with fellow passengers off our ship that was in port for the day. Dario, our host was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and explained really well what makes the Foursquare range of rums so special. The tasting rounded off the tour perfectly and if you are staying or visiting Barbados like us, hire a man and a van and get yourself to foursquare, you won't be disappointed.
