Fowles Wine

We recently held our daughter's 21st birthday party at Fowles Wine in Avenel. We had pleasure of working the events manager Gareth and he was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, Gareth communicated early, often, and with genuine warmth. Nothing was too much trouble for him, including finding a singer for our party at the last minute and saving the day. He meticulously checked all the small details, helped with the placement of decorations to ensure the room felt full for a smaller group, and maintained a great sense of humour even when things got stressful. Gareth was a fabulous host to our guests and is a total asset to any business. We couldn't recommend Gareth highly enough for any event, whether it's a wedding, birthday, or any other special occasion. His talent and professionalism will undoubtedly make your event just as special as he made ours. Big thanks to all the staff who made our day special and for all the wonderful food, thanks Fowles Wine.

We hosted a lunch at Fowles for 35 people in the private funcation space - it was a wonderful day! The food and wine were delicious and received many compliment from guests. Ashleigh and Gareth from the Functions Team made the process of planning the event seamless. Everything ran smoothly on the day with Hannah and Lulu ensuring everyone was well feed and had a drink to enjoy. The team set up the space perfectly and ensured all dietary requirements were taken care of without a hassle. We can't wait for our next visit to Fowles!

Fowles Restaurant is a fabulous place to sit back and unwind. The view out over the surrounding countryside is gorgeous. The menu is varied and absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We had a most enjoyable long lunch while touring the area.

We spent my cousin's birthday last July 8 at Fowles Winery. Personally, I have not been a big fan of winery dining. But our experience at Fowles exceeded our expections. The food, drinks and the service were truly 5 star. We will definitely return. Been raving about the winery to our friends. A special commendation to the staff namely Denni, Mike and Sheena who made our visit truly memorable. On our way back to Reservoir the following day (July 9), the Lord we decided to have breakfast at Fowles. Once again, we were so impressed and delighted. Value for money it is! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We walked in on Sunday without a booking and were lucky enough to get a table in the courtyard — and what a great surprise it turned out to be! The atmosphere was relaxed, the setting was beautiful, and from the moment we sat down, Gareth made us feel completely taken care of. He was warm, attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. And the wine? Incredible. After our meal, we stayed for a wine tasting with Katherine, who was so knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. She really took the time to talk us through everything, and it added such a special touch to the day. For a spontaneous visit, it ended up being one of the best days out we’ve had in a while. Amazing service, food, and wine — we’ll definitely be back!

Wow where to start. From start to finish Gareth was amazing for our wedding. From every little detail to making sure our drinks where always full. It was such a joy to work with Gareth and Ashleigh. The food was amazing and more then we could of ever expected. Nothing was ever to much for all the staff there to fluffing my dress to finding my lost shoes to carry around my wedding dress To even moving placement cards to make sure they were in the right spot and everything looked perfect. I was a bride with a idea in my head and the team there made it all look 1000% better then what I could ever of thought off The whole team went over and beyond to make our wedding a dream come true. Would highly recommend working with Gareth

Wonderful, friendly service in all areas. Delicious lunch with fresh foods, a glass of my favourite sparkling Moscato, a taste of the Chardonnay while seated at table. Beautiful ambience, clean, tidy, stunningly decorated and with the view to inspire. lovely shop and fabulous wine tasting area as well as inside and outside dining. My feedback is 100% worth going for foodies and of course wine lovers.

Truly a hidden gem. In Avenel Victoria We hadn't been here since Mother's Day last year so almost 18 months ago. I've always liked Fowles winery the food is good and the wine is very nice. When we got to the the car park it was packed and I thought that we wouldn't get a table as I hadn't booked. Much to our surprise once inside the entrance, they had renovated and there was a huge new dinning area and the wine tasting is now more spacious with lots of wine and country fare to tempt you. The new look was industrial yet country feel with rustic decor. Any way we thought we would just stop for a wine and some share platters that we've had before as there very nice. Once we sat down and got the menu and I saw the meals come out we quickly changed our minds. We got starters. Crumbed fennel and a tomato and goat cheese dish. The fennel was surprisingly good and the tomato and goat's cheese was like lasagna with out the pasta. It was very good. We ordered a bottle of red (stone dwellers Cab Sav) and our mains came out. I got the eye fillet. It was nice and thick, well cooked and a piece of caramelized onion herb butter on top. The steak was tender and heavenly to eat. Accompanied by some roaster potatoes and greens it was delicious. My partner got the lamb and white bean purée roast veggies and harissa. Which she enjoyed very much. But I gave her a piece of my steak and she was envious. As I had to drive I had a coffee and we thought we'd finish with the tasting plate from the dessert menu which included four small deserts on a plate. They were all nice but my pick of them was the lemon tart it was amazing. Slightly sour and a smooth filling and a crunchy biscuit base. I love the look of the new design and the food is a definite winner. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We will be back for sure.

The best wine tasting we have ever had! Michelle was super knowledgeable and knew answers to all our questions about wine. Great selection of wine, many varieties, i personally like the sparkling the most, and shiraz "ladies who shoot their lunch" was fantastic. Our experience was superb, definitely highly recommend!

Stopped here on the way back to Sydney from Melbourne...definitely a step up from Macca's! Unfortunately, while most mains are in the $30 range, both my barramundi and my partner's chicken were so plain and tasteless the only differential was their texture. When we realized my tomato relish was the only thing with flavor, there was a race as to who could claim the most off my plate. I would have given them a second chance with dessert, as they do have quite a spread, but my partner was over it so we hit the road instead. Three stars because the farm to table extra dry white wine I had was quite nice. I'd come back for a tasting, but given that I could personally have cooked better for $64, I would not be back for lunch.

Ordered a linguine with prawns, zucchini, dill, tomato, and garlic. Never knew linguine was of a spaghetti pasta....? Had to request for the parmesan cheese. Taste - 5/10 Quantity - 5/10 Value - 4/10 Overall - 4/10. A group of 11 guests (!) who were not impressed. Not just me.

The food and service is fantastic. My wife and I were lucky enough to get married here and the staff could not do enough to help. Everything was seamless. What ever we needed they were onto it. We were lucky enough to receive wonderful feedback from our friends on how wonderful the whole day was. Ian the manager and Sam head of events transformed the court yard into such a special area it was all we could have asked for. This is not only a perfect location to grab breakfast or lunch but a superb location for a function. Did I mention how friendly the staff are!

Stopped on way from Melbourne to Albury and loved everything about it! We are going to make it a tradition. Great Food, excellent wine and lovely service.
