Food was very good. My plate the veggie pasta needed more seasoning. My husband’s plate spaghetti and meatballs was excellent! I thought the red sauce dishes may be more flavorful. Excellent selection on the wines, can’t go wrong with Ceja wines!!

My husband and I got food poisoning after visiting this restaurant on January 19. We ordered Myers lemon fettuccine with prawns and meat ravioli with tomato sauce. The portions were quite small and not very tasty, but that alone would not have been a big issue, as every restaurant has its own take on pasta. Almost immediately after the meal, I started feeling unwell. The food felt very heavy, I could not finish my pasta and asked to have it packed to go. Right after we left the restaurant, I developed strong stomach pain that lasted until the next day. My husband started feeling sick about two hours later. While we were still in the restaurant, another staff member, came over to ask if we liked the food, I told her right away that the food was just so-so. On a positive note, the bread with butter was good, and our waitress, who was likely new, was very sweet. (We assumed she was new because other staff members were checking on her frequently.) I also appreciate that they allowed me to enter with my service dog. Unfortunately, despite the good service, due to the poor quality of the food, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this restaurant and will not be visiting again.

Lasagna was solid, everyone was happy with their dishes. Warm, welcoming, definitely the local family owned spot. We had a wine somm in the group and even he enjoyed their house wine which is pretty cool coming straight from the barrel. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff made it extra special with a candle and singing.

What a treat after a day hiking the Sonoma coast. Our server Heidi steered us in the right direction with her menu & wine recommendations then made sure we were well cared for during the meal. Highly recommended!

My family and I had such an amazing time here! Beyond the delicious food, Cindy and Dana were truly the highlight of our night. Both were kind, hardworking, and made us feel exceptionally welcome. We can’t wait to dine here again because of these two wonderful ladies!

My wife and I have been going to Fradelizio's since the Reagan administration. Ok, I exaggerate (it's actually a quote from Kubrick's “Eyes Wide Shut”] but it's that kind of a place. For the last ten years we have three defaults to: Okay, let's go out to eat tonight. And Fradelizio's has always been one of them. You can depend on it when you can't think. Like, uh, don't want to cook, shall we? Okay where? And up pops the answer. Just roll up and there it is, unpretentiously local, always friendly, always and always the good Italian food. Love the carafes of their house wine. As for the menu, I have my favourites, as does my wife and we always have a great time there. As for: Is the food always good? Silly question. I mean, is the food you cook at home always good? When you go to a favourite place over the years, do they miss a beat? Probably, but I can't remember what or when. Leave it to jazz players to nail you for a wrong note. I just want to have fun with my music. Same with my food. And that we do at Fradelizio's. Yum. It's like family there, You feel at home. I hope it never goes away.

Really good town restaurant, nothing Fancy but excellent customer service. Food you can ask to modify a dish theye would try to do it

Loaded with charm from the waitstaff to the decor. The service is speedy and friendly and also funny! The waiter was an "old-school" wise guy! The pasta with lemon and salmon was very delicious - 100 percent homemade pasta, authentic, and delicious. Best coffee too!! I highly recommend the spot for comfort food and home cooking.

We are becoming regulars for take out! The lasagne and arugula with prawns salad. Yum. They are quick to prepare orders to go. Everything is perfectly packaged and the bread is always so fresh--better than from a bakery. I love the great service and friendly atmosphere. We have branched out and can recommend the salmon, lamb chops, and minestrone. If it weren't for our clingy dog we would dine in.

A total 5 stars all round...it's not just the perfect delicious food ( no matter what you order) everything is fresh and creative. The staff is always nice and attentive...you will become their friend.

Fabulous service and awesome healthy food! The Meyer lemon fettuccine is brilliant! Had the wild salmon and asparagus.

We were visiting over the weekend and stopped here for dinner with some friends. We picked it since there was a good variety of offerings including vegetarian and gluten free. The day was gorgeous so sat on the patio. The service was excellent. Our servers were very attentive, answered questions and offered suggestions. The wine was so good. I had the red blend, and would love to get a bottle next time. Good was delicious. Had the Golden Beet salad and lasagna. The owner stopped by to check on us. He even offered a scoop of spumoni after our meal. Will definitely be back here.

I love this Italian place nice small and quaint. Food is excellent. The service is excellent and if you come, you're gonna say the same thing.

I think it rather sad that the owner's response to my less-than-glorious review was to attribute it to some personal animosity I hold toward some member of the staff. No such thing. Simply an honest opinion of this diner, based on several visits. I will be the first to acknowledge that it is difficult to understand someone's taste, values or opinions when they differ from our own.

Their food is so good. The environment was also very family friendly to my surprise. The Cheesecake alone would make you want to comeback but the Rosé and lemon pasta are always my go to. The staff was also very friendly.

We had Fradelizio provide us with food for a Christmas Day party. Since they weren't open that day, we picked it up the day before, and they provided instructions on how to best reheat the food for the party. We ended up getting 4 servings each of three separate dishes (Penne Natale, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Autumn Risotto) for 9 adults and 2 kids. Portion sizes were very generous, we could easily have gotten by with 3 servings of each (but the benefit is we had plenty of leftovers). Everything came in aluminum containers that we popped directly into the oven. As a bonus, they threw in enough garlic bread for all. Everyone was extremely pleased with the food. I'd definitely do this again.

TRY THE LEMON FETTUCCINE. Tried this place for the first time. And it's AMAZING! Our server was super friendly and hilarious. and the food was just amazing. And you feel right at home. This place is super cozy old school Italian. And it's just so perfect. My lady had a grilled salmon Caesar salad. She loved the anchovy in the salad (I'm not one for anchovy's, but that's why they have menus) and I had the lemon fettuccine with Alaskan cod... it was mind blowing. They also have Mexican coke with real sugar instead of corn syrup. Just a total vibe for a nice dinner. And if you somehow have room for dessert.... They're all amazing but the classic New York cheesecake is off the chains. 11/10 recommend.

The best gnocchi I've ever had hands-down. I like their employees as well so down to earth I think our server was Paul and he was just shy of 80 from New York heckuva guy.

Incredible food and hostess. Small cozy popular restaurant so if you have a larger party try to make reservations. Or wait for a table it's worth it.

Awesome servers, great hangar steak and pasta dishes. I love the service of the waiters. They are attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere there is like a large living room in an Italian home. Great experience every time I eat there.

These five stars are for food quality and taste. While the server was extremely friendly, my drink glass was empty about 50% of the time I was sitting there. And they don't have Diet Coke. Their fresh caught salmon was about the best salmon I've ever had. Amazing lemon based sauce with capers. I only wish the piece of salmon was a little bit bigger. The fried calamari could not have been better. The bread was served in generous portions, and it was definitely fresh-baked. All in all, I'd say this was a five-star dining experience. If I'm ever in the neighborhood I will definitely be back.

Excellent meal. Excellent service. A little difficulty parking but with patience got a good spot. Ambiance a little crowded and loud but not too bad.

Food was mediocre. But, waiter was very distant, and with no conversation when invited to. I always expect at least pleasant conversation when dining at a so called finer restaurant. Also, we ordered 2 drinks we never received, but they managed to charge us for them. My wife and I will not be back.

Fresh food, awesome ambiance and my daughter loves the M&M machine. This place is a gem in Fairfax.

Fradelizio's is a fabulous traditional Italian-American restaurant in the heart of downtown Fairfax. They source fresh, local ingredients and create delicious dishes that remind you of what your grandma would have prepared for you-- with love. Their salmon with Meyer lemon pasta is my go to favorite. Their wine from the barrel program allows you to drink solid, well-made Napa wines at a fraction of the price.

Great service, waiter was very kind and accommodating. The gluten free penne pesto pasta was delicious.

A couple of times a year, we stop down to what what was Pucci's to see if it has improved much over the years and with change of ownership - Nope. Same ol' stuff: Generally, Italian style. Entrees served in VERY small portions with a spoonful of basic, uninteresting pasta with a teaspoon of watery sauce atop it. A few overcooked greens on the side. Overall, an old-style place with nouveau prices. When I was younger, I thought that places like this were most loved by older folks. New being 'older' myself, I no longer thing this is the case. History may be both interesting and informative, but it tends not to do well when served on a plate.

Came here with my family to celebrate my Dad's 99th birthday. Had four generations present for the party ! Grandfather through Great Grand Son and Daughters. The Owner/Host and staff was very friendly and helpful in taking our order and serving us. They help take pictures for us and the Owner even wanted a picture of our family for herself.. Tgey came and chatted with us and help sign Happy Birthday along with a Chocolate Mousse Torte and candle. We order a from the menu and we ordered various items from it. We had fish, chicken, seafood, linguine & Calamari. All plates were prepared well and service was quick. Great selections. I can say I Recommend this place. !

Everything on the menu here is delicious. My personal fave is the Meyer lemon pasta with salmon. The hanger steak is also outrageous. Truly ... you can't go wrong with anything you order. Even the bread served with the meal is exceptional. Top all this with attentive and friendly wait service that treats you like family and you get a 5 star experience.

We came here on a whim after visiting Point Reyes. Strolling along the main street, we were not sure what to expect when we stumbled upon Fradelizio's...We were unbelievably surprised! The service was spectacular, the ambiance was quaint and the food will be on our minds for quite some time. We were visiting from Valley Forge, PA and wish we could relocate this restaurant to Pennsylvania!! My daughters had Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Alfredo, and Salmon Piccata and ate every bite! We were delighted to try a few specialties of the house including their biscotti as well as a sampling of eggplant parm. So sad that we were too stuffed for dessert but would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high quality meal!

Yikes! I forgot my fanny pack with wallet & my credit card! Oy??? how was I gonna pay? Sooo I called Francis next door in Berkeley & she found my wallet & sent a pic of my card & license to Keiths smarty phone which I was then able to use. phew! Sooo to celebrate their coupling on October 23rd after 23 years of hesitations, I took Deb & Keith, to this local Italian joint at 5:30 yesterday Monday 11/15. Nice that it's dark these days...brought my own fancy shmancy French wine which we shared with our waiter...quite drinkable Warm crisp bread butter & olives a great start Then the calamari, the meatballs!!... both 10's... the beet salad & asparagus salad 8's, their 2 pork chop specials 10's again & my prime NY steak, another 10, all wonderful.. our carne sides of spuds & veges fit right in Finished up with tiramisu ...great! as well as was the chocolate torte yum I'll be back

I have been eating here for years and even know the previous owners. Good food, sea food pasta is the best. It has that light garlicky taste that's is never overwhelming. Generous with fresh bread and butter. I did eat there before the pandemic and have done a few to- go orders. Kinda keep repeating the seafood dish because I am frankly addicted to it.

If Paul is your waiter you are in luck. We split the yummy Caesar Salad and fresh lemon pasta with wild salmon and of course some wine! Don't miss the ice cream sundae for desert - it's the BEST!

Great food, neighborhood atmosphere, and friendly service. I've never had a bad meal here, the pepper steak, the seafood pasta, the pork chop, the sauté calamari, are all outstanding. They also have fantastic salads. The organic heirloom tomato and avocado salad, the grilled asparagus salad, the Caesar, all outstanding. You can't go wrong here.

Great solid Italian, eat there regularly. The Caesar I real. Caesar to go-- not enough dressing, anchovies we're in place.

Wow. I just don't even know how to describe how incredible Fradelizio's is. From the absolutely delicious olives served with the warm bread right when you sit, the ridiculously delicious house blend red (man oh man is it good), perfect calamari appetizer with aioli and to-die-for cocktail sauce (seriously what is this magic?) the Napolitana (SO good) on homemade pasta, pillowy gnocchi, to the tasty meatballs. What could possibly top this five star food, which truly tastes to me like genius? The heart and soul of Fradelizio's - the people. Tara made us feel like family and in a time when we haven't gotten to see many of our own, it was priceless. It has been 10 years since we moved from Fairfax and got to visit Frad's. I'm not letting another month go by before I visit again, much less a decade. I couldn't get away with it, even if I didn't want to come back - my kids are already asking to return and they invited their yia-yia. Go, enjoy, and don't forget to bring your gratitude.

Had an outstanding dinner last night with family to celebrate a birthday. The fried calamari was the best we have ever eaten, with good size pieces rather than rings. The Meyer lemon fettuccine with asparagus and salmon was so good that I wanted to lick the plate clean! the chicken piccata was also excellent. The staff is so friendly and always at hand to answer questions or bring anything requested. We will be back here as often as possible.

MAMMA MIA COME FOR THE FOOD STAY FOR THE WINE! The best homemade wine on the planet, Italian food to satisfy a New Yorker, and the best gluten free pasta substitute for those of us who love Italian pasta! Don't think...go!!

Wow, came here on a whim on a Friday night and loved it! Food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We started with a Caesar salad and I enjoyed a salmon fettuccine for my main. My husband got a gnocchi ragu. Everything was so delicious. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I have dined at Fradelizios at least a dozen or so times in the past 2 years since moving to Fairfax and they have consistently nailed it every time. I can't tell which I like more: The tortellini in the Rosa sauce or the Meyer lemon fettuccini in the alfredo sauce. One thing is for sure though, the gnocchi is the softest, most delectable thing I've ever tasted from an Italian restaurant. The texture is absolutely insane and is a must have every time. Also Paul's "wine from the barrel" is out of this world too. It seriously can't be beat. The service is great as well. I worked with the hostess, Cindy, to make a reservation for 20 people for my wife's birthday and she was great at accommodating us. Brining 20 people in the restaurant on a Saturday night during prime time hours is a pretty big ask but Cindy made it happen with only a week's notice. The night of the party our server, Paul, basically went into Steph Curry mode and handled our entire party himself and made excellent recommendations and kept the wine flowing. Seriously this place is great. I've read some of the lower start ratings on Yelp and I seriously have no clue what those people are talking about. This place is the best.

Stopped in with my little cousin on a Saturday night, after a visit to W. Marin. I had placed my name on the list at a different Italian place up the hill, and took a walk in the chill evening. I had only ever been to Fradelizio's once, a long time ago, early in the day, and it wasn't memorable. But THIS time, we walked in, were immediately seated at a cozy little table, server brought out water (of our choice) immediately, told us of the specials, and had an appetizer on the table in short order. One of us had the brick chicken, which was nice. The other, the Meyer lemon fetuccine with a butter/cream sauce. I am a pasta snob. I've made it, traveled all over Italy and have had plenty of homemade pasta. Theirs was, hands down, the B E S T pasta I have eaten in years. Their bread was warm, out of the oven, with a crunch to the crust (so much BETTER than in Italy haha- don't eat the bread if you go to Tuscany). One thing I wish they'd add - a nice panna cotta. Or maybe even some little biscotti... maybe some pignoli. Yes... that would be the sprinkles on top of the icing on the cake. :) Loved it. Will return. Epecially appreciated the parking sitch, roomy space, and excellent service. And the clean bathroom.

Had dinner with the fam, we ate our way thoroughly an assortment of apps and entrees. Everything was delicious and hot. Couldn't have asked for a better way to finish the day of hiking Cascade, Carson and Cataract falls!

This restaurant presents a fun, low key Italian atmosphere, with an affordable menu, and Tiramisu much comparable to the ones in Italy! When you go to Fradelizio's, I hope you will meet Paul there. Paul Duchesne, what a kick to have met him! Although born in New York, as he shared in a conversation with my friend and I after enjoying a delicious meal, except for the Italian accent, Paul may as well have been born and raised in Italy.. Having presented himself vividly during dinner, he had come across leaving me thinking he was the owner of the restaurant - and not a waiter at this great little Italian spot in downtown Fairfax.

Love Fradelizio's. Great food and great people. Can't ask for more. Their fried calamari is the best and the locally-sourced seasonal specials are always delish.

This was a peak dining experience. Delicious food, super fresh ingredients, everything made in house - and it shows. The service was impeccable, the owner gracious and charming. We went at 5 p.m , which was good. By 6, the place was packed and it had gotten noisy. Allow time for parking -it's tight. Vegan and gluten-free options.

We went to Fradelizio's last night for our anniversary dinner. It's such a quaint little restaurant, very cozy! The food is so yummy! We started with the caprese appetizer and of course the lovely warm sourdough-- fresh and delicious. I ordered the autumn risotto (sans shrimp) and hubby ordered the gnocchi with Italian sausage and Rosa sauce. Everything was perfectly spiced and wonderful. The risotto was a beautiful saffron color with mushrooms, peas, red peppers and of course butternut squash--well balanced and so many layers of flavor! The hubby inhaled his gnocchi which he said were perfect little pillows of happiness! We rounded off the meal with the chocolate mousse torte...rich dark chocolate yumminess!!!! So happy we chose this place last night!

I am blown away by the service I received last night at this restaurant. It was my birthday and I left there feeling like a queen. I want to say thank you to the entire staff for this was my first time at this restaurant and to make me feel the way that you did, was just purely exceptional. We were seated at a cozy table outside during the evening. The weather was perfect and the service matched. I ended up picking the chicken piccata for my dish and it was excellent. I am of Italian descent and so I feel like I can be a harder critic on Italian food. The sauce was perfect, the chicken was cooked perfect, and everything tasted great. The bread at the table was fantastic as well and it was paired with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They sang happy birthday to me in a very sweet way and since I couldn't decide between two desserts they ended up putting both as a surprise to me on my plate. I can't wait to go back. The owner and his wife were having dinner next to us. His wife came up and introduced herself and told me happy birthday to another fellow Libra. Just talking with her, you could tell that they are a very genuine family. I highly recommend this restaurant based upon the food and service but also the people that you're supporting. They were great family. I can't wait to go back.

My girlfriend and I LOVE this place. We drove the 1+ hours from San Francisco twice in just the last week to come eat here. The clam chowder and veal parmigiana are ridiculously good. The ambiance inside feels homey and comfortable, and the service is super friendly. We've been highly recommending this place to all our friends
