Franca's Wine Room

We visited Rome this week and saw they had a wine room and we just had to check it out. I went with two of my daughters and we had such a great time. We tried almost all of the appetizers plus the brisket nachos, and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and even though it was a screw top instead of a cork, it was still very flavorful. My daughters tried a little bit of everything. One of the drinks was called the Poison Apple that was so good we were talking about it the whole night. My other daughter had an espresso martini that I personally thought tasted a bit watered down, but she loved it so no complaints there. We tried several other drinks but I don’t know the names. The ambiance was perfect. They had a DJ playing music that reminded me of my Chicago days, This made the evening even more enjoyable. There is also a fire pit and outdoor seating which looked beautiful, but it was raining so we didn’t get to sit outside this time. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and overall the experience was just wonderful. 10/10. We will definitely stop back in on our next trip!

We were spending only one night in Rome, NY and asked at our hotel for a nice place to eat that might have music. We were told there really wasn't anything. So after a google search we found Francas! Fairly new (since March) and fantastic! The charcuterie boards are amazing and the wine selection great. Add great service and live music and you have the perfect dinner combination! I highly recommend this place! Only wished we weren't passing through town and could frequent the place! Go here!! PS, if i could change one thing I would say there is no need for the shredded cheese all over the charcuterie board. It distracts, rather than enhances the presentation.

Franca's is a gem in Rome. The food and wine are fantastic, the servers are so kind, and it is a great place to relax and spend time with friends and loved ones. With all of our wonderful experiences there, it was great to learn they offer event packages! I recently had the pleasure to host a shower at Franca's and I cannot recommend it enough. Paul (owner) and Tricia (events manager) were lovely to work with. They were quick to answer all of my questions, incredibly accommodating, and really helped make the whole event special. We hosted the event before opening and were able to use the whole space, including the newly updated lounge are. I absolutely recommend Franca's for any event!

Francas is such a lovely atmosphere!! I went on comedy night & had a blast! The owner, came right over & asked how we liked everything!! That's rare!! We had so many laughs & the food was outrageously imaginative & completely delicious!! Reasonable prices!! Wine!! Your credit score just goes up with walking in here!! The service was incredible despite being packed!! And we had many laughs with the employees!! We only knew our small table of friends but soon everyone was having such a lively time, I met new friends & had such a lively, delicious & joyous evening at Francas & cannot wait to go back!!

The place was absolutely swamped when my wife and I went, likely due to a concert happening next door the same night. Initially it seemed there was only one person seating people, working the bar, and taking orders, which did lead to some slower service - though we still got out within an hour and a half! The food was absolutely delicious and very well made, would recommend!

The ambience is very nice here. An upscale wine bar with music often in a very small cozy venue. Food is upscale for the area, which is nice & good selection on beverages.

Nice ambiance for a date night! I went there for the first time a few nights ago and they did not disappoint. Super friendly service and the charcuterie board was picture perfect.

We hadn't been in Franca's since last Fall and I must say, not sure we'll be back. The wine list has gone from 4 or 5 pages to just 3, with mostly mass produced "meh" wines. The food menu has grown, which was needed, but I am disappointed that it has taken over the menu. The service on this Friday night was good but not 1 employee smiled or even seemed remotely happy to be there. While we sat at the bar, 2 different employees walked behind the bar (and were there for awhile) yet not 1 acknowledged us or even smiled. The one was texting on her phone the whole time and the other just seemed like she could care less about being there.

Really cute spot in Rome. Was able to sit outside since the weather was beautiful. Huge outdoor space. They also have live music so that would be fun to have while enjoying eating and drinking. Ordered the wedge salad and a goat cheese and fig spread. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and have great recommendations. Highly recommend and would return.

The space give the cool outdoor summer feeling! The staff is very friendly and the food is really good. We got the fig flat bread with prosciutto and arugula was amazing. The waitress suggested a great sweet wine that I actually enjoyed and would try it again. Franca's is a great place for a date or even a after work spot.

We love attending events at Francas. The food is good and the wine selection is top tier. The staff is always super friendly. And even on cooler nights it's relaxing to sit outside by the huge fire pit. I hope that they have another jazz fest this year because the one last years was so much fun.

We visited Francas while on our road trip from PA. I had the very best salad ever, loaded with flavor and nutritious ingredients. Our server was the perfect blend of attentive but not hovering and always pleasant. The decor was upbeat and inspiring with original and unique paintings on the walls. After our meal the owner stopped by our table and SHARED HIS STORY OF HOW HE LEARNED TO COOK FROM HIS ITALIAN MOTHER. He was accompanied by his grandson who was obviously invested in carrying on the family legacy. There is a pizza place on every corner wherever you travel however this is not your typical place! I highly recommend Francas! Within walking distance is the Fort Stanwyck National Historic sight which has free admission and was definitely worth a visit! Had a wonderful visit to Rome NY!

Update: I called the cell phone number of the manager a week later, it went right to voice messaging. I told him who I was, and how this was inconveniencing me. Still no response. He could have texted me. The following Monday, 10 days after I left my wallet there, 9 after he promised to mail it back, he finally went two blocks over to the post office and mailed it to me. Postmarked July 21. I got it 4 days later, 14 days after he told me that he would send it. At least I got it, at least people at the bar were honest enough to turn it in. I think everything came back, including several gift cards and cash. But to wait 10 days to get to this... I won't be back, but I will continue to patronize Rome NY and it's restaurants. Just not this one. Since he came through, I raise my rating to two stars. This really messed up my life for two weeks.

This is a great place to get a fabulous glass of wine and some great food. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

Overpriced and badly managed. Servers are doing their best but people wait for service and tables go unbussed while the owner stands by the stage like a fanboy.

The service was great, and the fig and arugula flatbread was absolutely amazing. They also had live music, which I don't always love, but was very nice. If I'm ever in Rome, NY again, I'm definitely going back.

Just a nice place very very nice people. I was very surprised worth every penny it's classy yet not too classy. Where are you have to wear a suit you know it's like after you get off of work. Everybody is laughing. It's just a very nice very organized very they give you samples. If you want to try to sample the staff is five stars A+ excellent.

The service here is slow. The gates and fire pit ruin the ambiance out front. The food leaves a lot to be desired.

A group of us went there a few weeks ago for a retirement gathering. The atmosphere and decor is very nice. We ordered a number of dishes like smash burger, pulled pork, charcuterie board and brisket sandwich. All of the food was good and reasonably priced. My biggest negative was the price of a glass of a small draft beer that ranged between $8 and 9$ and wine that was $12 a glass. The price of wine wouldn't be that far out of line, but the pours were less than generous.

I went to Franca's for brunch. My party had a reservation. We were seated quickly and drink order taken. We were served mimosas that were very warm, we had to ask for ice in order to drink them. We then had to wait an hour and a half before 1/2 our party was served food that was cold. They took it back and came out with 3 out of 4 s orders. It was about 10 minutes more before the charcuterie board came out. Everyone else was finished eating and the 4th person had the board. We had to ask for water and no one asked if we wanted any drink refills. I think waitresses were overwhelmed and kitchen understaffed. Another long wait for the check. The music was good but too loud to talk to my party. Waitress was very friendly. I won't go to brunch there again.

I don't leave reviews ever but I loved this place and our server, Ella, was nothing short of amazing!

I visited for the first time in Rome New York and the place was beyond my expectations. An Amazing place to be with a great selection of wines and good food. I love the environment, the good music and the professionalism of the staff. Congratulations!
