Maria and her staff were absolutely great, the pool area is a big plus and nothing can beat the view every day. Was a very social hostel, met many great people here. Highly recommended to backpackers.

Best hostel experience. Maria and Francesco are excellent and familiar hosts, providing a great service. Sunset with music on their terrace is really worth it. Thank you for a grat week we won't forget!!

Exactly what you would want from a hostel! The pool area is very cute and the bar allows drinks there. The beach is around 20 mins walk, and it's so close to everything! A bit difficult to get to so if you aren't as physically able maybe have a backup plan :)

Francesco’s is an amazing place to stay. It’s has a very young, vibrant and fun community of people who stay there and great place to make friends before going out. It is such a fun place to be and they host pregames every night for all of the guests — so I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you don’t plan on enjoying the night life ios has to offer. The family who owns it could not be more wonderful and you feel right at home when you are there. We stayed in a 3 bedroom and it was absolutely perfect and you have everything you need. The pool and sundeck is great with amazing views and there is also a great bar downstairs. They clean the rooms every day with fresh towels and made bed which was unexpected and lovely. This place was very clean and so well taken care of. If I ever come back it is the only place I would stay!

This hostel is a home away from home! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable and settled in. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay, plus the aircon is amazing! Their friendliness and helpfulness truly set this place apart. Just a couple of things to note: the walk up to the hostel can be tough with luggage, and the beach is a bit of a distance. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this hostel for a fun stay!

Fifty years ago I was a callow youth aimlessly wandering the Greek islands. One evening a graecophile traveller cautioned me not to visit Ios. "It's full of hippies, drugs and easy women" he warned. The next morning I was on the first boat! Ios in the 1970s was an Aegean Shangri-La, the island of my dreams. The "Ios ethos" is still there.||||I've been staying at Francesco's almost every year since, together with a large cohort of seasoned veterans. It's the perfect place to stay and meet other travellers. Ios is an island for young people of all ages and everyone is welcome. I strongly recommend a stay at Francesco's.

Gorgeous location, super friendly staff, and beautiful views. Was super impressed with the view from my private room for what I paid for it. The location was perfect as I had easy access to everything I needed. The staff was lovely and made it feel like home.

The rooms are always clean, and the vibe is super chill. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the main square, bars, clubs, and restaurants—perfect if you want to be close to the action. The staff really makes the place feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend!
