"Stop to Smell the Roses The Franciscan Garden is delightful public spacejust off the busy Wenceslas Square on the site of a former Franciscan monastery and dates back to the medieval period. Head through the Světozor passage from Vodičkova street or the Alfa passage from Wenceslas Square. Find a seat on one of the benches — a great spot for people watching —and admire the climbing roses in bloom orthe Church of Our Lady of the Snows. If you have children let them enjoy the playground and an ice cream while you sit back and take a breather under the trees."

Nice gardens where to take a brake while visiting the city center. They are located close to some interesting points like Kafka Head and Vaklavske Namesti street. The gardens have some benches where relaxing and curated green spaces and beautiful flowers. Love it !

Nice little park to take a quick stroll through. There are free restrooms and a cafe attached to the side of the park.

Beautiful gardens in Prague. Amazing views of the church Our Lady of the Snows. Plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful garden with plenty of trees, flower, and shrubs. Few cafes around the garden area. Plenty of walking space. This is a must see when visiting Prague. I loved my visit.

Crowded with lots of teenagers but still a nice place to sit for lunch. There's a nice fenced area for children and lovely flowers and gardens to look at. Well kept. WC nearby, but it's paid.

The Františkánská zahrada (Franciscan Garden) is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Prague, hidden between Wenceslas Square and Jungmann Square. Originally part of a medieval Franciscan monastery, the garden has been a public retreat since the 1950s. It features beautifully maintained flower beds, benches, and a charming fountain, offering a quiet escape from the city's hustle. Surrounded by historic buildings, the garden is perfect for relaxation, reading, or enjoying nature. Despite its central location, it remains a hidden gem, providing a tranquil atmosphere for both locals and visitors seeking a moment of serenity in Prague’s vibrant center.

Really nice little quiet spot in the middle of Prague. Lots of benches to sit and greenery with flowers and open space. Playground is very good too for children with a lot of things to play on. Recommend this for a break from walking and burn off some energy for the little ones. Toilets are near by they do charge so have coins.

You can easily miss the entrance if you do not look carefully but once you are in, the gardens are beautiful. Just in a few minutes from the old town center, and apart from the gardens you also enjoy the playground if you have a minor as we did, although the facilities could be renovated.
