Francisco's Mexican Grill

Great little place to get your fix for Mexican food. It was our first time going to Francisco’s and we’ve lived in Farmington for 10 years. Prices are reasonable and staff is very kind. Will go back for sure. Photos are of their kids meals which are LARGE portions and totally fine with me :)

Started with the chicken flautas appetizer that comes with a homemade sweet chipotle sauce. The sauce is AMAZING & needs to be sold in stores. Hands down one of the best sauces I have ever had. The Colorado burrito is like a red beef gravy situation and it is very meaty & very good. Tastes kind of like stew. The pork chile verde enchiladas are also delicious! We also tried the mole sauce and it is phenomenal. Really sweet and chocolatey. Probably the best mole sauce I’ve ever had. This place is a hidden gem - kinda small, but the wait was quick & the service was great and friendly. Perfect stop after a day at Lagoon.

SEP 2024 Visit: Quant, vibrant and delicious restaurant! Anything with chili verde on the menu is worth trying. The fried ice-cream is worth getting. Parking is around the back and there isn’t room for big gathering. Prices seem to have gone up since they updated the inside decor.

The restaurant staff are welcoming. The restaurant is cozy. The portions are generous. I usually enjoy the fish tacos. Yum! As of 2026, the restaurant has been updated, and there are new items on the menu. I had the carnitas tacos - did I taste a hint of cinnamon? Fantastic flavor! However, next time I will remember to order just one taco.

I ordered the Carne asada tacos and enchiladas here. The tacos were very good and satisfying. Nice big portions. 3 tacos decent size taco on my order. The enchiladas were good as well. Mom and pops owned restaurant with very friendly service. First basket of chips and salsa were on the house. $1.50 for a second basket. I recommend and will come back!

We had to stop to charge our car at the city offices and while driving to our destination saw this corner with a sign out front that made us happy! It said Mexican Food! We were hungry and didn’t want to sit in the car for an hour to wait for the car to charge! We walked a 1/2 block to Franciscos. We didn’t read any reviews, and wrote family we didn’t care, we were just hungry! We walked in and it was bright and felt very clean! Ever table was taken except for one. Meant for us! Then our food came to the table! WOW!! Huge portions and so delicious! I got the shredded beef enchiladas and my husband got crab and shrimp enchiladas! So so good! We ordered dessert, because the car was still charging🫠, so glad it was! I ordered the Mexican scones🤯 big giant cinnamon deep fried bread with a vanilla butter, or something like that…all I know is that it complimented the cinnamon goodness perfectly! Thanks for a great food stop! We will make it a point to charge our car in Farmington again so we can eat at Francisco’s again and again!

This place was really delicious! I got the chile verde enchiladas. The service was great, and the food came out really fast. We went on a week night, so it wasn’t too crowded, but it is a small place with limited seating. Also because it’s small it can seem pretty loud with all the conversations and music going on. But I will definitely be back!

I got the relleno combo and my wife got the enchilada combo. Both were very good. The prices were average and the portion sizes were more than we could eat so we took a lot home. The restaurant is small and very clean. Our server was nice and the food came out fast.

Fast seating, service and excellent seafood burrito. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Will go there again.

This place is small but so cute and the food is amazing. Definitely try it. We'll be back.

This is my third try at this restaurant. The first time it was okay, the second time I was not happy with the food or sitting by the kitchen. This time I ordered a burrito, its huge, lots of beef and sauce. Here is my problem, a lot of the meat had big fat chunks the inside was loaded with beans, i guess just too much mush for me. The comp salsa it too spicy, maybe shaken from a spice jar? I think its now three strikes your out, not for me, sorry.

Ok, I just moved to Farmington and I (and family) are obsessed. The platters are huge and well priced; the food is delicious. The house made horchata is beyond. The atmosphere is authentic, cozy, and nice & warm. Servers very kind. We recently tried another local Mexican restaurant for curiosity and comparison reasons because it had better reviews... we'll never go back to it. Francisco's is much better.

Service was good. Greeted promptly and food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. It's a small restaurant but felt cozy.

PAY ATTENTION!!!!! You will miss this place!!!! It is hidden on the corner, but you walk in and it is just so relaxed. It is a local favorite. There is not a lot of room, but it is very cozy here. You are greeted with a smile and seated very quickly. If it is not to packed. The chips and salsa are decent, not very hot on the salsa but has good flavor. The guacamole is made traditionally with tomatoes, onions and a little jalapeño. Now for the food we ordered, looked amazing. I had the two chicken chimichangas with rice and beans. My wife had the fajitas combo chicken and steak. Both dishes where amazing! My chimichangas where off the chain, I couldn't finish my food. Neither could my wife finish here fajitas so much food! I will come back and try this place again. Thank you for such an amazing food experience. Chicken Chimichanga are the way to go!!!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - the Chile Verde Burrito is a wet burrito with so much delicious sauce to go with the burrito. It was surprisingly good and we had enough leftovers for dinner too! Taco Al pastor with sides of rice and refried beans. The taco shell was slightly crisped and there are some pineapple chunks with the Al pastor that adds some sweetness to cut through the protein. Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go but the shop was nicely decorated with some natural light Service: 5/5 - cashier was really nice and was able to provide a few recommendations when asked Value for price: 5/5 - we were a little surprised at the price but the servings were huge!

Or favorite weekend date! We have been going here since they first opened. Quality, service, and price is outstanding! We look forward to each visit!! The staff is incredible!!!

Food is average, service good, food selection average, prices very high. Very few other eating places. Will not be going back.

I'm not a fan of Mexican food, generally (since I don't enjoy spice, beans, tomatoes), but my husband could eat it every single day. Francisco's is a great compromise for us because he loves their traditional dishes, and I found two nontraditional items that I love: the coconut shrimp & the seafood enchiladas. Sooo delicious! Plus, it's a great location/close to home. Parking in the back is easy, the service is good, and take-out is always a great option. Check it out!

The beef tacos were delicious! Also loved the cheese enchiladas. Fun ambience in a cute little storefront.

Francisco's isn't bad considering the other options in the area. We like it more than Javier's and Orlando's in Kaysville. We usually drive to Slc or West Valley if we're really craving good Mexican food. We weren't super impressed by the salsa, rice, or beans here. The red sauce on the enchiladas and burrito were just okay, but I enjoyed the carne asada burrito. The service was great and it's a fun location. I can see most people in the area enjoying the food here.

I thought the food was yummy. We had Taco pastor and chili Verde burrito. The flan for dessert and homemade as are all their desserts. I just wish they had homemade tortillas.

Barely edible food. The most bland, white bread Mexican food I've ever encountered. That's about it.

Me and my friend came here and got two burritos but they had almost no flavor! we ate less than half and threw out the rest. do better

We live close by and love this restaurant. They treat us like family there and the food is delicious. We never have to wait long for a table and the service is quick. It's our go-to place to eat when we just don't feel like cooking our own food.

Incredible! Food was DELICIOUS, service was great, price was fantastic! Under $30 for Huevos Rancheros, a Colorado Burrito, 1 horchata, and fried ice cream! The food plates are large too! CJ was our waiter, he said he usually works in the morning, and he was so nice! Some if the best Mexican food we have ever had! We just moved to Hill AFB so we will be back often! And this is a family-run restaurant which is the best!!

Great food!! Fast service, food ready for pick-up within 20 minutes. The chili verde enchiladas are my favorite.

The shrimp fajita and Chile verde enchiladas/ beef taco were all great and highly recommended. This place feels very homey and is a hidden gem in Farmington. The portions are large so come here with an empty stomach!

We ate here tonight on the recommendation of a friend. We were not too impressed by the food. Food is pretty bland. The salsa had a nice kick but more like tomato juice than salsa. The store front and inside are nice and the service was great. The food isn't gross by any means but definitely felt like we wasted a lot of money. On the plus side- the Flan was KILLER GOOD! Yum! That was the best part of our meal!

We had a family reunion and was looking for some Mexican food and this place is great!! First of all we had a big party of 16 people and that is always hard to find a place to accommodate that many. When I called @5:45 on a Friday night they said come on over and we will have a place for your group. So that was Awesome. When we arrived they was already pretty busy at I thought oh no. But they said just hang tough for a minute and we will get some room for you guys. Anyway it always takes a bit to get everyone together and they did just great!! Always in a large group it's difficult so we was really impressed. Their chips & salsa are of course homemade and delicious; their salsa is a lil different and pretty unique but still tasty even though we like thicker Salsa theirs is still pretty good I had the special of the Mahi Mahi tacos and they were delicious, the lil woman had her usual Chicken taco salad this was served in a taco shell bowl and really it was excellent, all in all from the first phone call to saying goodbye at the last; we feel like we made some new friends, Definitely we will be back and explore their menu some more!!

We aren't from around this area but we were on yelp looking for places to eat. We found this restaurant and decided to give it a go. When we got there, we didn't realize they were closed for a short time during the day and we saw the sign when we got there. We asked if it was okay and enough time (it was 30 minutes before) and the waiter was so welcoming and nice and said of course, we are pretty fast. The food was great. The guac was probably the best I've had. Def recommend.

There are a dozen "hole-in-the-wall" Mexican restaurants in Davis county and none of them are good...except Francisco's, which was delicious! We were craving Mexican and did not want to drive to SLC and chose Francisco's purely based on Yelp reviews. I would say this is the best quality and most authentic Mexican I have had in Davis county! The Chile Colorado was delicious, the shredded chicken tacos my favorite, and I didn't try it but my Dad said the chile verde was the best (apart from Red Iguana) that he has had. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is the service is a little slow, but when the waiters bus their own tables, seat the patrons, etc. then it is understandable. We will definitely be returning!

I have lived in Farmington, my whole life, and every time I go back to this establishment, I get more and more disappointed. If you'd like a water-based salsa with a dash of canned tomato paste with one singular diced onion. This is the place for you. The food was bland. My stomach started to hurt after five bites. I would highly recommend this place if you're above the age of 60 and have IBS and need a good gut, clean out, 55 minimum if you're feeling brave, don't come here. Thank you for your time

Greats customer Sevice but the food is not good . Definitely not real Mexican food . Starting with the chips, they where old , salsa not good . I had the steak and shrimp fajitas , the best part was the rice and beans . No good quality steak nor shrimp and no taste . Sorry but food was not good at all . The service was good

Honestly one of the most boring and bland Mexican restaurants in Davis county. The price is the only redeeming factor. Think about any basic Sysco sourced Mexican restaurant, take the flavor away and you'll pretty much have Francisco's.

Bland, bland, bland. Utah-Mexican food at it's most bland and simple. I give it 2 stars because I know some people in Utah like less flavorful food. If that's you, this is the place for your palate. Nice people. Service is kinda slow and not a refined place, but it's simple and serviceable.

Hot food with chips and salsa! The menu had a lot of options and everything was yummy. The staff were friendly and helpful and great. I will eat here again and again. Parking was a problem for me because of construction but even parking issues did not diminish the great experience.

Stopped in on our home from Home Expo. First time here. Found this little jewel on yelp. I'm still trying to find a Mexican restaurant in Utah that I like. Well, I have two words for the food here..."absolutely delicious ". I had the chili Colorado burrito. It was out of this world. My sister had the chicken burrito. She said it was filled with huge chunks of great tasting white meat. Serving size was more than us two girls could eat, so she and I took half home. Looking forward to eating rest of It tomorrow for lunch But, my brother-in-law, ordered the chili verde burrito and licked his plate clean. Chips and salsa by the way were pretty good too. Will I be back? Heck, yes! I have found me a Mexican Restaurant. Got to try other things on the menu. Also happy with our service as well. One waiter for the whole floor. He did a great job serving everyone

I had a great experience here. The portions are very large so you could easily share. The staff was nice, the food was good. I will definitely be back.

This is one of the many Mexican places people try to pass off as a really good hole in the wall. The food was good but I was expecting it to be better. The service in the beginning was fast but then our waitress refilled my water once after we had already finished so I basically went without water the whole meal. Then we waited for a good 30 minutes to get the check. It was fine to wait only because we were talking. This place is good to go to and maybe you'll order better than me.

Excellent Mole and the Chicken Chimichangas are the bomb. Eat here at least twice a month.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. We were seated fairly quickly and the waiters were very nice. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but I didn't feel too cramped. I'd say this is a little hidden gem! The salsa was great, had a nice Smokey/spicy aftertaste, and chips were also good. I ordered both the Chile verde burrito and the Chile Colorado burrito. They were amazing! Portions sizes are very large, as a Mexican restaurant should be. I ordered horchata as well, and it was very delicious. I gave this place a 4 out of 5 just because it was a bit small, and the horchata I ordered was packed all the way up to the top with ice and was $2 a cup (so really you're only getting a half cup-also the water they gave us had a normal amount of ice). I will definitely be coming back, but will ask for WAY less ice in my horchata.

Well, after all the great reviews, I hate to do this but I definitely did not enjoy Francisco's. It is a tiny little restaurant that is filled to capacity with tables right next to each other. It was very busy and we had to wait for a table. I thought this was a good sign. The chips and salsa were terrible -- not really salsa, more like taco sauce. Our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered two cheese enchiladas and my husband ordered the carne asada tacos. Bland is all I can say about their food. The enchilada sauce tasted slightly different that just plain tomato sauce but had no kick or spice or flavor. The refried beans -- bland. The rice -- bland. My husband did enjoy his carne asada tacos and said he would give them 3 1/2 to 4 stars but agreed that everything else was bland and not good. The service wasn't that great either. The horchata was good though.

Best mexican place in town. Been here a couple times. This place is "auténtico". The tamales are good. The coconut shrimp and fish tacos are two things where you cant go wrong. Super small restaurant, but the staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

There are not a lot of local Mexican food places in Farmington so if you're in the area, this is a close and solid option. There's not a lot of seating in the restaurant so don't bring the whole office. I tried the carne asada tacos. They were alright. The tortillas were toasted some, which was a good touch. The Spanish rice was good but the frijoles weren't too exciting. The service was prompt and attentive. Bathroom was clean.

We love this place! Large portions. Great food. I don't like their "new chips" They are too thick and crunchy for me. I always ask for the "old chips." I love everything else I've had there.

Best chicken chimichangas I've ever had (tied with Chile Amor). I had only been here once before and didn't like it so I never gave it another chance. Now that I've had the chimichangas, I would happily return any time. I don't know if it comes with the green sauce, but I would totally recommend that. They give you two smallish ones but it is so much food, it's hard to finish. It would be an easy meal to share between two people if you're a light eater.

This is a fantastic little family restaurant. We found it by chance after looking for a meeting spot to have lunch with our kids. It's now our favorite Mexican food restaurant. The food was fresh, plentiful, tasty and authentic. The service and meals were both impeccable.

Not gonna lie, these fools can't compete with Javiers. The food isn't as good and neither is the service.

My visit on 12/29/20 was great! I ordered the Chili Relleno one of my favorites! I thought the food tasted fresh and was the perfect temperature. The holiday decor was warm and festive. Our server was prompt, attentive and friendly. They accommodated our group of 9 with excellent service. The line outside attests to Fransico's success. (I also appreciated that the food was not loaded with salt and/or grease like many places do.) Other dishes I have enjoyed here are the shrimp tacos and chimi's! And...You have to try the Horatcha! Its the BEST!

Tasteless plain rice !! Use salt yo ! Plates and food overly hot I couldn't event eat my food when I got it . Chile rellano could be better .

Good service, kind people, cool little location. But as someone who grew up with real Mexican food my whole life, this is not what I'm used to so keep expectations low on authenticity.

This was some of the most bland Mexican food I have ever had. I have no idea what the owners think flavor tastes like but it isn't lettuce. Everything tasted like wet lettuce. No other way to explain my experience here. Have no idea how this place is still in business except for all the old people eating here who apparently have lost their taste buds with age.

I stopped by Francisco and I enjoyed what I got but I wouldn't choose this place again over what is offered at Farmington Station. The shrimp enchilada was pretty great, extremely smothered, and pretty big portion overall. The Hits- Value, Cleanliness, Atmosphere, and Customer Service The misses- Food Value- I got the recommended shrimp and crap enchiladas, which the shrimp was pretty great but crab was meh. The amount that you pay here is totally worth it. There was a lot of food and it was good enough that I did eat most of it. Cleanliness- It was really clean on the inside. Everything was wiped down, our plates and silverware were spotless, and the bathroom was clean. Gotta give you props! Atmosphere- I liked how it looked inside, it nice and bright. No music was playing which was kind of a bummer. Customer Service- Our server was nice. He gave us good recommendations, kept my water glass full, and checked in on us pretty frequently. Well done, sir! The Misses Food- I am knocking the star for the food because I thought it was 50/50. I really enjoyed the crab enchilada but it was light on the shrimp. The crab was not that great. The rice and beans were good but lacked seasoning.
