Ok hotel fairly old fashioned. Door key is a chore to open and close, it's like trying to crack a safe lock combination! Great roof top bar and pool is open till really late. Hotel is just a short walk to all the action yet is quiet inside. Breakfast has freshly made omelettes.

We stayed for 6 nights at the Frangipani Royal Palace hotel, and we had a wonderful time. The staff are amazing - they hire underprivileged people and train them up in hospitality, which results in wonderful service, as well as employment opportunities they may not otherwise have had.|Our room was amazing - we had the deluxe king room on the 7th floor which had a full on view of the royal palace, as well as a side view of the river. The room was super comfy, big comfortable bed, little seating area by the window with a small table and 2 comfy chairs, and a big bathroom with a bathtub. The room has a very small balcony - so if a balcony is important for you, I would recommend to take the deluxe king room as that balcony is bigger, and has a hot tub. For us we were content to open up the windows, and sit looking out over the palace,|We had breakfast included, and it was really quite good. Lots of choice on the rooftop buffet, with egg station, fresh fruit, toast/pastries, hot items, soup station, tea coffee, juice etc. Everything was nicely presented and very clean. |We loved the rooftop pool and bar area - great views out over the river, great cocktails and the staff were just lovely. The pool is small but was never busy or crowded. We enjoyed cooling off after some hot days around the city.|We loved our stay here, and would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to PP.

This hotel was amazing. All the staff from receplion, breakfast room and bar upstairs were super friendly, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and there was something for everybody and it was all fresh. You could order your own omelette , which was cooked in the breakfast room. The roof terrace was beautiful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Cambodia you were a dream come true. And I travelled on my own and i always felt so very safe. Thank you for having me x

Great hotel with a brilliant location. |We arrived on an early morning flight, we had a one way airport transfer included in our rate, which was easy to arrange. There was someone waiting with our name on a board as we left the airport.|We were minus two bags that didn’t make our connection, but these were delivered to the hotel that night and reception looked after them until the next morning.||The breakfast is great as is the swimming pool. Towels are provided. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfortable. ||We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel as there is so much choice nearby.||We did a sunset cruise, if you walk to the Main Street and turn left the boats are about 20 mins walk. We managed to get a 60 min cruise on our own boat for $25. The boats where you join and share with other people were $5 but we were late getting there. ||Visited Bassac Lane one night for food/drinks which was great.

I loved everything about this hotel. Lovely jazz music gently playing in the reception area, which I appreciated. My room (701) looked to the front and I couldn't have wanted a better room. Stylish decor, spacious and a very good price. The bar, restaurant and breakfast facilities are just great - all located on the roof, with fabulous views over the city and the river. Special thanks to Y Oudon the assistant front office manager - he was very helpful. Well done to all the staff. I definitely recommend The Frangipani.

Very clean bed. Large choice for good breakfast. Excellent position looking over the royal palace and close to riverside walk and night-time markets at weekend.|Free water refil on each floor which is very much needed in the Cambodian climate. Feels safe.|Slightly tired feeling to room fittings but for the price and cleanliness it was perfect for us. Air conditioned.

My first impressions upon entering this hotel weren’t great: everything appeared a little worn and shabby. The hallway architraves are grimy, carpets with stains and it looked like everything need a good scrub. However, I was quickly won over upon entering our room and stepping out onto the balcony. This is one hotel that lives up to their promise: a great sized outdoor space overlooking the Royal Place. ||Plus, we’d arrived on a Sunay evening and Walk Street was in full swing. We dropped our bags in the room and got in amongst the action that was literally on our doorstep. What a great intro to Phnom Penh! This hotel is all about location, location, location. One block back from the riverwalk and a stone’s throw from many major attractions, such as the Royal Pace & National Museum for starters, as well as dozens of eateries.||Our room was extremely spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, good bathroom and storage, and let’s not forget the balcony with plenty of seating and outdoor bath. Buffet breakfast was sufficient, with eggs cooked on demand or delicious noodle soup. The rooftop pool was put to good use every afternoon, with pool towels available. Most importantly, special mention to all the staff, who went above and beyond to help us out with enquiries. They were kind, professional and courtesy. ||We came to think of this hotel as our home during our 4-night stay and were a little sad to leave. The staff had breakfast boxes prepared for us as we made an early morning departure. We hope to return again one day.

Centrally located across from the Royal Palace the hotel is easy to find and a short walk from the Sesowath Harbor and Giant Ibis Bus station. The room we had was kind of strange. On first glance everything looks very stylish but at a second glance, the finishing is a little shabby. The strangeness continues in the elevator where there is no logic at all in the placement of the buttons. All in all minor details but kind of strange. The roof pool is terrific and has a great view of the city, especially at night time. The breakfast served is abundant and diverse. We got a free upgrade to a balcony room.
