My first impressions upon entering this hotel weren’t great: everything appeared a little worn and shabby. The hallway architraves are grimy, carpets with stains and it looked like everything need a good scrub. However, I was quickly won over upon entering our room and stepping out onto the balcony. This is one hotel that lives up to their promise: a great sized outdoor space overlooking the Royal Place. ||Plus, we’d arrived on a Sunay evening and Walk Street was in full swing. We dropped our bags in the room and got in amongst the action that was literally on our doorstep. What a great intro to Phnom Penh! This hotel is all about location, location, location. One block back from the riverwalk and a stone’s throw from many major attractions, such as the Royal Pace & National Museum for starters, as well as dozens of eateries.||Our room was extremely spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, good bathroom and storage, and let’s not forget the balcony with plenty of seating and outdoor bath. Buffet breakfast was sufficient, with eggs cooked on demand or delicious noodle soup. The rooftop pool was put to good use every afternoon, with pool towels available. Most importantly, special mention to all the staff, who went above and beyond to help us out with enquiries. They were kind, professional and courtesy. ||We came to think of this hotel as our home during our 4-night stay and were a little sad to leave. The staff had breakfast boxes prepared for us as we made an early morning departure. We hope to return again one day.
