Google
you guys made the birthday boy happy! Such a nice suprise! Walked in after going to escape room next door. Party of 14! They found out it was my son’s 11th bday and had him make a pizza! So cool! Food was great and service was wonderful! All the pizzas hit the spot!

I’ve tried all the coal fired pizza spots around South Florida and Frank Pepe’s is the best. Particularly fan of their margarita and a 4 cheese pizza that is no longer in the menu but you can still order over the phone. Service is always friendly. Always take out/take home. This place is top notch on quality control, pizza always comes out same level of crispy coal crunch perfection.

I came with my family to celebrate my son’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. We had the best pizzas—the ingredients were very fresh and the dough is truly unique. The service was excellent; we were taken care of by Valentina, who was very kind, helpful, and professional at all times. Thank you for the great service!

Google
We're regulars here. The food is always good. The service is always good. But the environment isn't well cared for. When we came today, there wasn't a booth available because all of the tables were dirty, even with only two other families in the restaurant. For the price point of this pizza, I find this unacceptable. Last time we came the ceiling was leaking on to a booth. They have fixed that since my last visit.

Had an awesome experience at Frank Pepe’s thanks to Leo. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, quick with recommendations, and checked on us just the right amount. Service was smooth and the food came out fast. And the pizza… absolutely lived up to the hype. Crispy crust, fresh toppings, and that perfect char that makes it next-level. Everything tasted fresh and balanced—no soggy slices, just straight quality. If you go, I highly recommend asking for Leo. He made the whole visit even better.

This place had all the potential of being great! Great location and when I walked by the pizza looked amazing. The place was clean looked nice good atmosphere only one problem. The pizza sucked. The cook put no love in it and my business meeting all we did was comment why we think the pizza didn’t taste good. We both agreed it was the sauce or lack of sauce. I finally asked our server to bring us some sauce in a bowl 🥣 so we could help the pizza. She brought us back cold 🥶 pizza sauce :(. This is what happens to a great concept and you expand. The quality deteriorated with so many locations. We won’t be coming back. I’m a pizza snob and the only reason they got 2 stars thanks to the interior and the location. Dominoes pizza is 5 stars compared to this 😢. Maybe it was the cook? Idk but the GM is responsible for that.

This place makes the best pizzas. Our server Leo was amazing such a great service worker fast attentive and efficient. Definitely coming back for the service and the best pizzas ever!!

We've been meaning to try one of the FL locations for a while now but have simply not been in the area until today. We went with an open mind since we have visited the OG location in CT and another location in NY which were both top notch. We were pleasantly surprised immediately upon walking in and seeing the attempt to recreate the authentic old school style coal ovens, and overall ambience and decor from the Wooster Street location. We tried the OG and the clam pie and really enjoyed them both. The crust had great crisp, char, and chew but lacked a bit more salt/flavor. I think in due time as they keep tweaking their dough and recipe for FL it will only get better. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinning experience, and remenisces of the two times we went to the Wooster St. Location and how nostalgic and authentic it was. We would definitely return.

Yelp
We'd seen Frank Pepe's on Dave Portnoy's pizza reviews and decided we needed to try it while visiting Ft. Lauderdale. It was FANTASTIC. The crust was thin and crispy, the way I like it. The sauce was incredible with a perfect ratio. We had the Dopio Pepperoni and the Amanti Carne pizzas. They were bursting with flavor, great combinations of ingredients. Would definitely recommend both! 2 small pizzas were perfect for four of us. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive. We were one of three people in there at the time (we went right at opening). There were two ceiling panels that had leaks and actually fell from the ceiling while we were eating. We thought it was funny! The let us know they have someone coming out to fix it, and they had it well blocked off. It was just funny to watch.

Yelp
Stopped by here doing the week and it was pretty empty. I decided to get the antipasto salad and the broccoli pizza with a nice glass of Italian sangria. The antipasto was very good with a nice amount of meat and cheese. The pizza was good as well, the ratio of broccoli and cheese was perfect and had a nice taste but growing up eating New York pizza, the burnt/crispy crust just wasn't my favorite. It wasn't bad by any means but just wasn't for me. The restaurant was nice and clean, service was ok. Not the best, not the worst. They offer lunch specials and have a nice selection of pizza. Now that I've finally tried New Haven style pizza I'd say it's a one and done for me but if you like that style pizza I think you'll like it here.

Yelp
First off, I love the location of this place. It's very family oriented and on the outside it feels like you're in a mall. So it's a great place to bring the little kids to be outdoors. Especially in the winter time it's an awesome place to walk to digest the food. The restaurant is pretty nice and modern on the inside. You can tell they take good care of this place and that the restaurant is new. My waitress was very kind and extremely attentive. I knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered cheese pizza And a cup of water. I kept it pretty simple. The food arrived less than 10 minutes later. I was amazed at how fast the food came out. The food was extremely hot. So I had to start off with a fork and knife. But the first thing I noticed is that the cross was so delicious and chart. That's actually how I like it. You can really taste the flavor and the coal in it. The quality is so good and even the condiments like the Parmesan are made with good quality. You can tell that the Parmesan Condiment isn't some dried up garbage that they serve at some of these other places. The pizza was delicious and I'm definitely going to come back. I told my wife about this place and I'm pretty sure we will be here the next month or after.

Yelp
I love Frank Pepe's! Flavorful, crispy pizza with char from the brick oven. Their Chicken Diavolo is my favorite. Packed with flavor and the Gorgonzola adds such a delicious tang. The grilled onions are so good and overall it's just a great pizza. A bit heavy so it will fill you up.

Yelp
Had lunch here today Sat 12/28/25. We signed up for the app and got a medium cheese pizza free. We went in and added 1/2 hot cherry peppers & the other half meatball. The pizza was very very good. A lot of flavor. We will go back for more. Because the pizza was free our bill was $4.38. We left $10.00. Great service. Really no atmosphere. But it was quiet so we could talk.

Yelp
I was excited to try frank Pepe's after seeing it online. Service brought down the experience for me. After waiting for a bit I was informed my ticket was lost then ended up waiting about an hour total. It was 2pm with about 2 other tables occupied, luckily I wad alone so I didn't make it a big deal. I ordered a Coca Cola and was given a bottle only to find out by overhearing my waitress tell another table they ran out of Coca Cola but there were other options if they didn't want the bottle. Kind of bothered me I didn't get the same courtesy. Pizza was solid, if you like a sweet sauce and charred crust this is the spot for you. I just wouldn't drive out of my way for it and probably would come back unless I was with others who really wanted to try it. $21 after tax and tip for a small cheese and a bottled coke. If there is a next time I'd probably get the tomato pie without the mozzarella. Just made it soggy towards the half way mark.

Yelp
I first went to Frank Pepe when I lived in New York and work traveled in New York, Massachusetts in Connecticut for almost a decade. I had heard this was one of the first pizzerias in the United States and legendary- this 100 year-old pizzeria based out of New Haven Connecticut uses a 100 year-old coal fired oven to make their pizzas. Coal fired oven pizza tastes different- it's incredible. I think it blows Anthony's coal fired away. They are famous for their clam pizza, which is a white pizza made with fresh clams from the Connecticut shore. I was apprehensive to try it for the first time, as clams on a pizza sounds weird! But it was one of the best pies I've ever had. Excellent pizza is very difficult to find in South Florida, at least it has been for almost the last decade. When I heard that Frank Pepe opened in the Plantation Walk a year or so ago, I was incredibly excited and have wanted to visit for quite some time. I finally got there and ordered a clam pie for old time sake. The new franchise location is big, loud and has an originally built looking Coal fired oven. The pizza was fantastic as I remembered from Connecticut . While they are a little expensive, they are still some of the best pies available in Broward. While the clams weren't as fresh as the ones that the original location offered being so close to the ocean, they were very good . I'm looking forward to going back to try a few other pies. There is plenty of inside seating, and they also have a nice patio outside. While there is no bar, they do have a pretty simple beer and wine menu. Parking in plantation walk can be a little difficult, especially during prime hours-that's the only issue I had with the Location. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling more of these excellent coal fired pizzas !

Yelp
Great pizza! Truly, I wish I lived closer to a Frank Pepe location. I love this style of pizza and nowhere back home does it like this. The toppings are delicious, the sauce is light but still maintains a robust flavor, and the dough is cooked to perfection. The team making the pizzas was full of energy and it was so cool to watch them in action. The location is great, we were able to get a parking spot right outside. I can't wait to visit again next time we're in the area.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to get there and we ordered the three pie deal. Got the pizza, looked amazing until i tasted all the cinders under the pies. I love New Haven pizza. I couldn't wait to taste the charred crust. But no one scraped the oven and brushed it out before they put the pies in. All I did while at the table was pick it off and try to wipe it off with a napkin. The black cinders were all over my table, my hands and in my dish. Never encountered this here at all. Disappointed, was really looking forward to it.

Yelp
This was a mixed experience, and the first and LAST time I use Uber Eats! There's just NO quality control when you depend on a third-party delivery service! We ordered The Special, large. The pizza toppings, sauce and cheese were great. But the crust was burned black in too many places. Had I dined-in or picked it up myself, I would have checked and sent it back. The Caesar and Chopped Italian salads were generous and good, but they should have included TWO dressings for each not just one. It was too dry and tasteless. But I believe in SECOND chances, so when I go back I will pick up the order myself (and double-check it). Lessons learned!!!!

Yelp
The crust and flavor was really good. I also had a buratta salad. Very good. We ordered a tomato pie which had a white sauce. Not my favorite but got some sauce on the side. I prefer red sauce the other half was bacon and onion. Could not find any bacon. Crust was the best part. Good ambiance and service too. Got $10 off for signing up for the app.

Yelp
This pizzeria it's great for a random date night within the week . We wanted to explore a bit more of what plantation had to offer and try new restaurants, and finding out this oven fire pizza was the best ! Pizza was fresh and delicious, wish they had more options like for appetizers like calamari or even garlic bread , but the only thing available was pizza and salad . The toppings are limited so makes it a bit hard for younger people with toppings . Pizza was good but limited toppings and they didn't have any appetizers options . Hopefully there's some updates to the menu !

Yelp
The manager righted a wrong so we gave this place another try. Glad we did. Pizza was delish.

Yelp
My boyfriend dragged me in after insisting this is one of the best new pizza spots and it didn't disappoint! The pizzas are done very well - good amount of cheese and sauce, not too floppy and nice and charred. We opted for a classic cheese! We also tried the salad which was nice and refreshing. Prices are reasonable! The waiter was friendly and attentive and the service overall was quick! Great place for a quick lunch (there's a lunch special) or a dinner!
google avatar

Tricia K.

Yelp
Wow! The potato pizza was amazing! I can't wait to go back! This is FAR from my house but the pizza was worth the drive!!
google avatar

Gladys S.

Yelp
Frank Pepe is one of those places that you come across Instagram and you say, I need to try it. Went on a Sunday afternoon to try some pizzas with family. The large pie is really big, bigger than your traditional large. We had a lot of leftovers. Their pizza is good but I expected it to be even better because of all the hype. My favorite was the four cheese.
google avatar

Andreas F.

Yelp
Too burnt for us. We got 4 pies and all 4 were way over done. I understand they usually have a bit of black on the side but this was way over done. If the pizza were not burned it would have been amazing as the pepperoni was great and the sauce too. Shame that they burned it

Matt B.

Yelp
Great customer service Pizza was on point and well balanced lunchtime super busy but service was prompt precise would definitely recommend really great environment bon appétit

Yelp
After a soccer tournament we decided to stop by right as they opened with a whole bunch of hungry kids and parents. They were quick to accommodate and put tables together for us. Parking was a little tricky just because we weren't sure where to park as there were some designated for residents only. But once that was figured out there was ample parking. Place was clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. It was cool to watch the pizzas being made and the oven. They really have a nice viewing area for this. As for the pizza, we had several, from regular cheese to pepperoni to the meatball and Ricotta. The kids loved the cheese. The crust was just the right thinness and with the right crisp. No floppy pizza here. Firm enough to hold the toppings but not focaccia bread thick. But also the quality of the ingredients really shined. The meatballs, the pepperoni, even the ricotta were all amazing. Everyone was in agreement and that's saying a lot. Definitely a must stop when in the area. And they even have Date Night Specials for $45 which include pizza pie, salad and bottle of wine. And if your date doesn't like pizza then you need to rethink your choices. Must Try!

Yelp
Best pizza in South Florida. I've been to the original location in New Haven and while this doesn't quite compare, it's still very good. Service is quick and constant. The pizza is perfectly charred and the cheese is on point. 8.5/10 on the Portnoy scale!

Eric J.

Yelp
I've been living in Florida for about three years now, and I've had pizza all over the U.S., New Haven, New York, Boston, West Coast, East Coast, everywhere. Without question, this is the best pizza I've ever had in Florida. People here should really be thankful that Frank Pepe's opened a location in South Florida. The pizza is absolutely amazing, real, authentic, and made with love. You can taste the history and tradition in every bite. They've been perfecting it for nearly 100 years, and it shows. This isn't one of those trendy, showy places where you wait forever just to feel like you're at a club. This is the real deal, genuine pizza from people who care about what they make. The staff is kind, the service is great, and the whole experience feels right. Once you've had Frank Pepe's, you'll understand what true pizza is all about. South Florida is lucky to have this place.

Yelp
I love New Haven style pizza and was excited to find out that Frank Pepe's opened in Florida. We walked in on a Saturday evening as a party of 4 and were seated in 5 minutes. The server was friendly and since it was our first time we were able to get $10.00 off by downloading the rewards app. We ordered the large original with mozzarella cheese. The pizza came out in a timely manner and we were checked upon. I feel like there could have been a little more flavor to the pizza. It's good pizza but didn't wow me. If you want New Haven style pizza then check this place out.

Yelp
So this is "Ahh-Peetz" eh? We live right down the street from the walk and LOVE all styles of pizza but haven't pulled the trigger on trying this place until now. The sticker shock combined with the so-so reviews gave us pause, but with all the Dave Portnoy nonsense in our feeds hyping this "new haven style" pizza as the god of all pizza styles it was time to give to a try. One bite everybody knows the rules... 6.2 It was a decent pie, but nothing special. Sauce was the best part, obviously house made with care. Cheese was good, though not your typical grande which I prefer the flavor of. I didn't detect any Pecorino Romano which I love. (Wish it was given on the side to add fresh) Pepperonis were sparse but good quality. The char wasn't too much, we love char on pizza but even if that's not your cup of tea it wasn't overpowering. The main issue with our pies was the crust. It was lacking any depth of flavor and was very, very chewy. Like give your jaw a workout chewy. Like the guys in the kitchen forgot to turn off the Hobart chewy. Sicilian Oven - way better. Anthony's Coal Fired - way better. Olli Olive - The best in the neighborhood
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
The pizza here is incredible every time! Nothing like the Connecticut location, but if you want your Pepe's fix in Florida, it's definitely a great option!
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
The pizza is an excellent representation of what pizza tastes like in Naples, Italy. Come during happy hour for a discount on salads, and pizza. You'll get an even better discount on the wine. Our server was a very friendly drill sergeant, and I knew my life would be in her hands without regrets. Make sure to check in for the free gelato. Max and I got a pizza to go so we could pack it in our lunch bag for the next day. The rest was put in zip lock bags and will remain in the freezer until we have a late night snack attack. Check out the true Italian pizza oven before you leave. Max and I came to meet up with our friends that we met through Yelp. You can't go wrong with good friends, pizza, and a salute to great Italian wine.

Yelp
Came in for dinner on Friday night for dinner and we were very happy with the food and service. We we came in I was greeted immediately. It was not packed but it quickly got busy. Our server told us a bit of the history of the restaurant and how the pizza was made. The menu is super basic (no starters , apps, wings or pastas) is simply pizza, salad and dessert nothing more. I first started with the Pepe salad which I thought it was pretty good. For drink we did the sangrias and decided to add half a pitcher more because they were really good. For entree we had a 10" pepperoni and a 12" shrimp pizza. Both pies were delicious with a very thin charred crust. Overall i really enjoyed everything and i would be back.

Yelp
This place has amazing food and staff and a happy hour! Happy hour is 2-6 Sun-thurs. A teacher's heaven. There are $10 pizzas, antipasto, and $5 wines. The pizza is thin crust, perfectly toasty and crispy, and has that little black charcoal burn from the oven. I will def be back. Clean bathrooms, huge parking garage, lovely staff. Plus the plaza has shipping and other restaurants. Super cute area.
google avatar

Dara B.

Yelp
I went to Frank Pepe's with friends. The menu was filled with delicious dishes, including the variety of pizzas and toppings to make your pizza. The pizzas here are well known. The gallato for desert was excellent as well. Staff is very friendly. For Yelpers who check-in, you will receive a free gellato. The restaurant itself is small with tables and booths. People can order in or order takeout. There is plenty of light coming in from the windows. This was my first time in the area after the remodeling. There is a parking garage and parking on the street.
google avatar

Rafael M.

Yelp
Really love this place. They have a $45 pizza sampler that's totally worth it. Any 3 pies of your choice. They also offer $10 off when you sign up on the app. Food and service are always on point. Clean establishment and well run. Would totally come back!

Yelp
I came on a Thursday night with some of my girlfriends. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and inviting but we ate outside because it was so beautiful out. Our server was NAY and she was AMAZING! She was so kind, had so much information on the menu items, and accommodating for my friend who does not eat sausage. I thought the prices were great. They had a Frank Pepe Small Pie sampler which was 3 personal size pizza for 3 for$45, 4 or $60 and 5 for $75. The pizza I ordered was the veggie special. Which was delicious! I also tried the Margherita pizza and the chicken diavolo. I also ordered a pitcher of sangria which was great. I enjoyed everything! The only thing I could possibly recommend is having one the following available to customers weather its an additional charge or not: Ranch or hot honey. I would have LOVED either and they do not carry ranch or hot honey. Lastly, We tried the tiramisu and it was so delicious I didn't have time to take a picture. It was devoured by everyone! Overall, great experience and I will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
A Plantation Walk pizza paradise. The waitress and manager were very fun and discussed food with me of course. Ordered the onion pizza and a vanilla gelato. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the onions were sweet. I loved the hand made appearance to the pizza - not commercialized. After eating I walked around the area with my cold gelato in hand. Loved it here and will return soon.

Yelp
I ordered food to go! I am a Connecticut native, so I've always been a huge Pepe's fan! I was so surprised to see that opened one in south Florida! The food was ready promptly when they said it would be! I ordered the plain pie with cheese. I also ordered one with meatball and ricotta. They both were delicious, but my coworker and I preferred just the cheese! The crust has a perfect crunch and the flavor of the sauce is incredible!
google avatar

Rick K.

Yelp
Yeah really good. Was at the one in Hartford and tastes the same. Great food, would recommend!
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Truly an authentic New Haven Apizza as best you can get. The crust is nice, thin and crispy so I recommend eating in or living close because you don't want to loose that crisp...and even the. It's a great pie. On the One Bite Scale, the cheese is a solid 8.4 so Dave Portnoy needs to get his tastebuds checked...
google avatar

Andrea U.

Yelp
There seem to be a large group after a funeral here as there were only a couple of tables, and it was very noisy. We have the app, and give our phone number at the end of the meal to get points and discounts. We pay a 1% tax to the Plantation Walk Entertainment. Service is impeccable, there is free parking in front. We started with a cold, fresh delicious Caesar salad that was perfectly dressed. I enjoyed a small half shrimp, & baked clam pie that was flavorful and delicious. My husband's meat pie was overflowing with pepperoni, sausages, and meatballs. We love the thin crust, sweet sauce, and quality mozzarella .

Yelp
I have been wanting to go here for a while. My friend and I were supposed to go somewhere else but I asked if she wanted to go here. She was happy to. Things started off good with our very nice and helpful server. I was too busy talking to my friend to remember to ask our server's name. But she was the only one working today, 10/27/23 at 12:30. We decided to each order the lunch special. This includes a fountain drink with a small.Frank Pepe salad and a 10 inch pizza with one topping.good. is $15. My friend ordered sausage on hers. She loved the food. I wanted ham on my pizza and was surprised they didn't offer that as an option. Anyway, I ordered mushroom. The pizza looked delicious but really lacked flavor. I just didn't taste much. I brought home a couple slices to munch on later in the day because it was still early. I did not heat up the pizza and it tasted better at home. The salad was very fresh. I liked the dressing. I think it is balsamic vinaigrette? Overall, it was great seeing my friend and the meal was ok. Oh yeah, our server told us right away the pizza is burnt. I am.glad she did so we weren't surprised. My pizza actually wasn't too burnt. I would come back here if someone else wanted to.

Yelp
I really wanted to fall in love with the clam pizza, but it just didn't do it for me. My mom was a long time resident of mystic, Connecticut and we used to eat the best fresh seafood, so I guess my expectations were set too high. The service was great, but when I tasted the clam pizza I was overwhelmed with a burnt garlic taste that failed to wow me. The pizza really needed so lemon, parsley or something to elevate the one note of flavor. My bf called me crazy and said it was delicious, but I just couldn't agree. I guess we will agree to disagree. We took it home and I added some fresh parsley and lemon and it was a tad bit better.

Maggie C.

Yelp
The first time I went, the pizza was good, but today it was completely inedible -- burned, with no cheese, just a total disaster. The service was very good, but the food was absolutely terrible.
google avatar

Yelp
I love pizza especially thin crust. This location is in the midtown plantation area among other eateries The restaurant only exclusive serve pizza and some salad/ desert option. We got the sample 3 for 45 and signed up for there reward program to get 10 off. There is also similar coupon from plantation neighborhood flyer. Service was quick and promptly. Pizza was crispy n had great quality topping. Make sure to try the white clams pizza n I heard good things abt their current seasonal pizza of crushed tomato pie. We didn't order that n I opted for more meaty options with rustic mushroom n the special. The special was my least favorite but the other two were great. Would def come back for pizza craving

Yelp
Ten of us that have worked together for decades and we are now retired periodically meet for lunch, today one of the retirees attending was from the Fort Pierce area. We moved our lunch meeting a little bit further north to try to accommodate him. There was no issue in accommodating the ten of us, as they put some tables together. Our waitress Nikki came by and took our order for drinks of anything outside of water, a few of the guys ordered different kinds of beer, myself I ordered a club soda with lime. We ordered three pizzas, two of them, pepperoni, and sausage and the other one the white clam.all three pizzas were very good, tasty and full of flavor, Nikki was outstanding and overall we had a pleasant event for what a lunch gathering could be.

Yelp
Finally, a place that does good Neapolitan style pizza in the Plantation area! I thoroughly enjoyed both pizzas we ordered on our first visit, and really liked the sound of many of the other menu options. The special pizza had great flavor and tons of toppings, I particularly liked that the meats weren't greasy and the flavor of the sausage. The shrimp pizza was super different too! I was a little worried that the shrimp might overcook, but they were perfect, and the white sauce was creamy and rich without being too buttery or heavy. Both pizzas had good body and stood up to the toppings without getting soggy or being chewy. One word of warning though, due to the way they serve the pizzas, whoever sits on the end is going to be stuck serving the whole table (check the photos, you'll see what I mean). The only downside to our experience was the service. Our waiter was unfortunately not the best. He didn't put our salad order in correctly so it had to be remade, consistently forgot to bring things we'd asked for, was very slow and inattentive, and for whatever reason, kept setting drinks down really hard and sloshing them over the side. If not for the manager, it would've been a lot worse. He, thankfully, was making rounds at the time, and was both personable and quick to help. I think they opened fairly recently, so I would be willing to try dining in again and see if service was better a second time. I also would like to try doing takeout, to see whether things get soggy on the drive home. So - verdict is still out on service, but the flavor of the pizzas was very good.

Yelp
Good pizza. Everyone is really nice and if not for the weather you think you are upstate. Go one day trip and enjoy a new heaven pizza

Yelp
Not the same as outside of Florida; believe me, not one master pizza maker making your pizza at this location, not one "decades experience" pizza maker at this venue. The place just does not flow. You order salad, antipasto and pizza, and they bring it up all up at the same time.

Yelp
This spot is in the new outdoor promenade in Plantation. It's a nice area with lots of eateries - glad there is something like this! Parking: depending on the time of day, it could be difficult to find nearby parking but there is ample parking. Vibe: we went on a Saturday evening and there were just a few people. So if you want peace and quiet, this is a good spot for families or anyone really. Service: we had a Jamaican waitress. She was jolly, well informed and very nice! Food: it wasn't great. The pizza is a good size but not very tasty. It was also very dry. I think they may have needed to put more sauce on it. We ate more of the pepperonis than the size. Return? Yea, we will go back and sure to ask for extra sauce.

Yelp
First, pizza tasted great and was very reasonably priced for the portion. Our party of 7 tried many different pizzas and each was well received. The pizzas do have a blackish char on them-- it's not burned, but if you have younger eaters with you expect to explain this. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Staff was friendly, the restaurant was very clean, and I look forward to coming back more often.

Yelp
Big caveat: I've been to the original pizzeria in New Haven, CT and love it. Over there the sauce is fresh, the crust is thin and charred. The pizza just tasted amazing. The plantation version isn't that. It's fine, it's edible good pizza. But carrying the Frank Pepe name comes with very large shoes to fill. The pizza was way too doughy and not in a very good way. The restaurant seemed nice inside, they tried to make it look like the original which is nice and the people I spoke to were pleasant. If this pizzeria had any other name I would give it 4 stars. But if you're looking for real New Haven style pizza in South Florida. Just get on I-95, drive north and don't stop till you get to Connecticut.

Yelp
I was very excited to try Frank Pepe's. Being a fan of Dave Portnoy, I was excited to find out that a New Haven pizza icon had opened it's doors so close to me. Walking in to the replica oven was pretty cool, the hostess and the pizza makers were very welcoming and courteous. We had a Cesar salad which was great and ordered a medium tomato pie with mozzarella. Unfortunately the pizza had no flavor or crunch (the back crust was the only crunchy part). I've never had New Haven style pizza before, but I can only imagine that this wasn't even close to it. I feel bad writing this review because I love their story. I hope to one day try the original up in NH.

Yelp
Stopped here about a year ago and the pizza was so-so. I stopped by again this week and the pizza was spectacular. In the running for best pizza in South Florida. If you like pizza, do yourself a favor and run here. The cheese and margherita pizzas are amazing.

Yelp
I have ordered from here many time since they opened up. My girlfriend is from Connecticut and the last time we visited we didn't get a chance to try Frank Pepe's, only Sally's. So when they opened the plantation location we were super excited. They were a bit inconsistent at first but they seemed to have figured things out. We have not had the chance to dine in so the majority of the times we have it delivered or pick it up if we are in the area. I absolutely love this style of pizza. Today the crust was just slightly thicker than I remember but that did not affect the quality of the pizza. There is so much flavor, especially in the sauce! They put just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Do not skip out on the doppio pepperoni's, yum! If you do not like a "burnt" crust and flavor, this pizza is not for you. Love this place, hits the spot every time!
