On the Grid : Frankfurter Kunstverein

"At the heart of the city in the Steinernes Haus and its annex the Frankfurter Kunstverein presents extraordinary contemporary art across its 900 m2 of exhibition space. What’s makes this space so unusual is that the building’s rooms, which are given their unique shape by their large windows, adapt individually to the art displayed within them, and transform their entire appearance cyclically. Only the architectural basics remain constant, the feeling of the space is in perpetual flux. Depicted here is among others the exhibition ‘Single Mother Songs from the End of Nature’ by Melanie Bonajo." - Bureau Mitte

Great little art gallery with a nice selection of changing art shows.

Their waitress was super unfriendly and rude. We ordered enough food and drinks, and the restaurant was quite empty, only serving 3 tables. We asked for tap water, but the service didn't want to bring it to us, saying, 'it's not common in Germany and we only serve it with coffee'. The food took quite long and came cold, I can't recommend it. Never going back to this cafe, terrible service.

Very informative and thought provoking tour of Bending the Curve. Even though the tour size was massive, the guide adjusted the tour, projected her voice and proceeded seamlessly with a very enjoyable tour.

About the cafe bar : The server was nice and kind. But at the same time, he rates the tip himself when he charges you without informing you.

Watch out. Went to the toilet straight away after entering the place and the staff demanded to pay 2€ WITH CASH and no option to pay with card. When we asked AT LEAST for the receipt he threatened us to call the police. Wondering how he was going to explain it to them as it’s not declared anywhere that visitors gotta pay for the toilet. Had absolutely no wish to stay there afterwards and ever come back, absolutely don’t recommend.

One of the smaller museums in Frankfurt. I do not know many museums in Frankfurt but I love the one of the Frankfurter Kunstverein the most. They have no permanent exhibition but changing ones, and each of the ones I have seen has been very worthwile for me. Plus: it is rarely extremely crowded and the ticket prices are moderate in my view.

One of my favorite cafe in Frankfurt. Perfect with a child as they have toys at the back. Very good food the few times I ate there

Exhibitions are mostly ok, but some are real garbage. A visit can be very interesting, but don't be sad if it wasn't. Anyway you are in the center of a very nice city)
