The food was good. Hot and freshly made Wisconsin hot dog and a half lb cheeseburger. The service was interesting, they dont talk much besides taking your order and when you receive your food. They were quick with getting the food out to you. I like how they decorated for Halloween. Made the place relaxing

Another home run for Frankie's! This is the third Frankie's location we've visited, and as with any world class chain would, they delivered on consistent once again. ++ The toppings: Frankie's for me is all about the toppings! The unlimited supply of diced chopped onions and the saucy onions were my two favourite toppings The dog and the bun: both grilled to perfection just as expected, with no burnt bits and still warm when served. Amazing! Sides: we got their house made slaw and steak fries. Steak fries were the fattest fries I had ever seen, and were cooked to perfection. Slaw was just as impressive with wonderfully light dressing on the crisp cabbage Ambience: fast casual, good A/C, bright, and they apparently aren't afraid to make it known that they've been voted the best hot dog in Connecticut more than once. Well deserved, if you ask me.

I had a sausage burger with cheese and curly fries. Fabulous. The paintings on the window were a cute touch, and the condiment bar is great...though lacking mayo :(

As much as I like Frankies, I really can't complain much. I will say that when the older gentleman Is there running things in front It seems like a well oiled machine, but when he's not there things are more like a broke machine. Every time. Don't know what the issue Is, but with most business It starts with the head. The other thing Is the prices seem to keep creeping up. I bought two curly fries and two small items and It was over sixteen dollars, no drinks and no extras. Nice place but needs some improvement.

The chase avenue location is absolutely awful every single time I get food from here the food is half cooked the fries are soggy and I can't even enjoy my food they need better staff because clearly the ones they have now don't know how to cook!

Food was great!! We all left here full and happy!! Food is cooked to order ! At least everything we ordered chicken strips & burgers. Nice and fresh! Pippin Hot' !! 5 chicken strips with a big platter of curly fries with buttered bread/roll(very delish) @ 8.79 but it doesn't come with a soda, thats an additional 1.79. That's part of the reason it lost a star. Also the 1/4 burger and additional platter is the exact same meal as the kids burger only difference is the kids price is cheaper!! The kids soda is a bit smaller but if you stay and eat it's free refills!! really enjoyed myself here! They also have lobster rolls and seafood combos here I haven't eaten those from here in years so I cannot comment! But I hope from the years back they have improved!! Karissa was our server I forgot they did that! But even so I didn't expect it and she insisted on bringing our food to the table. But before that she cleaned our table! What a nice young lady! That was cool! I love it when my family gets treated kindly! Thanks Karissa & Frankie's Update the kids chicken strips meal ($4.59) has only 3 strips with fries drink and a piece of candy! Vs the reg meal ($6.49) has 5 strips but no fries even if u make it a platter (add't $2.69) it doesn't include a drink (add't $1.79) I still love it here delicious!

Fantastic food, very fast service, great burger spot for the whole family. Highly recommend Frankies over a McDonalds. They have hot dogs, burgers , seafood platters.

Easy in and out. Impeccably clean all around. Staff is friendly and very helpful, bringing your food to your table. Nice to see Owner on site making sure all's good with everyone and everything., Food was excellent and a pleasure to grab lunch at a top notch run establishment. Nice job!

I really like this frankies location. It's the only one with a drive thru so i come here often. Service is always friendly although it does take a few minutes because it is made to order, which is great. The buffalo blue dog is amazing! And they have baked potatoes at this location (haven't seen them at the others but they might have them too). I really wish they would get back the jalapeno corn fritters they had here last year though!!

So far I'd say they got the 2nd best burger that I have had since I've been in Connecticut. Great service at the counter and fast delivery!

The slogan is come in and eat or we'll both starve. Any time I drive by I salivate for a toasted bun and grilled dog. I don't like to try new things, when I find something I like I go back to it. I always get their french dog, which is made with hot nacho cheese, and curly fries. Sometimes I sub the fries with cheese cubes and get a container of sour cream for it. They also have a toppings bar with onions and sauerkraut. It is on one side of the restaurant with 4 rows of three tables and about 7 booths against the window. The bathrooms are really clean which is really important for any establishment.

I was there in January 2018 . The food is great, the service is espetacular, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great hot dog combined with delicious fries and the coleslaw was also very tasty. That is why a place like this is always busy. And the best of all it is a very clean and well taken care location. Definitely a place that I will come back. Thank you for a great meal

Although the food is BANGING and one of the girls there has amazing customer service and pretty cute, one of the managers were not as nice. she was actually pretty rude and prioritized others orders over mine. i'm not sure why, but it was par her request. the workers were very nice while i waited assuring me it will be done soon. when the manager lady handed me the order she didn't tell me to have a good day or say sorry or thank you as she did other customers. i know this is a good joint but there ain't no diversity there except like 1 and 1/2 and they treat black customers less... in waterbury... come on now. so i will not be eating here. there's other frankie's

Better then your average fast-food place, varied menu (fried seafood selections). Friendly service. Prices are a bit high though.

I know times are hard right now but their drive thru line is ridiculous. I've been waiting for a good 30 min and haven't made it to the ordering area. Just because people are in the street waiting to turn into the line they are told to come into the parking lot and their orders are taken right away just to get them out of the street with no waiting. Never coming here again.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Busy but we grabbed a table and ordered hotdogs and French fries. A delicious treat! Curly Fries were crispy and nicely spiced. We also had the chili dog and one with chili, jalapeño and tomato. We liked the chili and the hotdogs are foot longs.

A few years ago, a former native of Waterbury stopped by and insisted we go to Frankie's. I really did not want to go. Not a hot dog guy and probably was put off by the former restaurant in the same location. Went to the one on Chase. Needless to say, I have been back dozens of times. Food is excellent. Great burgers prepared the way you want, cleanliness and service is way above the norm. Lots of selections. Decent atmosphere and priced right.

I used to eat here alot but stopped because the last time I had one of their burgers it tasted gamey and I couldn't finish it. This concerned me so I haven't been back. Their hot dogs and chicken sandwiches are good but their prices are high.

A nice Frankie's location. Definitely easier to get into now that most of the construction is done on Chase ave. The staff is friendly and the place was semi-clean. The quality of the food is just like any other Frankie's location. It is worth going to if it is the closest location or if you are in the area and are craving a hot dog, but there is nothing special about this location that would make it better than the others and being only approximately five miles from both the Watertown ave and Reidville locations, I really don't see a point in going to one location over another.

Great hot dogs... home made sauerkraut and warm sweet onions. Just wish the drive through service was as McDonalds next door. Dalaza

i tried the Reidville Frankie's and I really liked it, but the Chase Ave one blew me away. Kudos to whoever is running the show there. Place is packed, but it's like a well oiled machine. Fast service, courteous employees, delicious food COOKED RIGHT, and decent prices. I really love this spot!

Stopped in during the last snow so only 3 customers in the place. Ordered the hot dog platter with fries and soda. Very disappointed to see that the bun does not fit the hot dog. The dog overhangs about 2 inches on each end. The steak fries were cold. The A1 sauce, which I use on my fries was clearly watered down. Have been here in the past when the bun actually fit the dog and the fries were hot but sadly this is no longer the case.

This is a great family place..food was delicious! Had fried calamari and mushrooms...sooooo crispy yumm. Try it. Kids had chicken tenders and hot dog...no complaints from them. Very very clean, and customer service is on point!! They even brought food out to us! Lovely

Longtime Frankie's fan. The last two visits here, I was disappointed. The service is always great and you can't beat the hotdogs. The steak fries were terrible, both times. Saturated in grease/oil and I couldn't eat them. By the time I got home I was too hungry to drive across town to say or do anything.

I love the lobster roll time of year, I have had about three already this year! Only downside is that the drive through seems to take an eternity some days. But the friendly staff kind of makes up for it. This is my favorite location

This is the walk-in Frankie's as opposed to the drive up one that is mostly reviewed. All I had was a Frankie Dog.. a foot long past the bun on both sides with grilled onions. The bun is toasted and crunchy and the dog was great. The onions could have been grilled more but it was still pretty good. Almost 4$ though so it's a little much for a dog. I had to try one though before I left Waterbury. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked pretty good. I'll definitely stop by next time for a sit down with one of their burgers and fries. If you're considering one the regular chains, give this place a go. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good place to eat but won't no longer the one in Chase ave , one time I went through the drive thru to order a Lobster Roll , and the employe / cashier that was making it wasn't wearing gloves saw her through the drive thru -window what a shame .

Typically great service and food every time I go, but I was quite disgusted while waiting for my order. I watched another customer tell the employee at the front desk that he asked for bacon on his baked potato. I then watched that same employee send it back only to have another place bacon from another baked potato on the one that was sent back and given back to the customer. It makes me wonder what else they do to the food in the kitchen.

This place is just okay. The wait is horrendous. You would think for burgers fries and dogs they would have it down by now but they don't. Plan to sit in your car for at least 30 minutes MINIMUM when ordering in the drive thru. The food is fine but it's not like there are many options in the area to begin with so this is one of the best bets.

They are ok. I've just had their catered food. Nothing exceptional.

Great fast food. This is not a place to eat healthy for sure, but the food is not greasy either. Rib eye sandwich was very tasty, but could use a bit more meat on the bun. Hot dogs are so-so, but lots of great toppings. Would have been a 3 star, but they got an extra point for handling my wife's realization that the burger had a sesame seed bun. When I mentioned she was allergic, they immediately made her a new burger with a Portuguese roll instead. Nice! Oh, they have Birch Beer, yeah!
