Franklin Victorian Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I had such a lovely stay here. It was quiet, comfortable, and Jennifer is such a great hostess. The breakfast food was fabulous. I found your recipes on your blog and will be trying them out. The sheets on the bed were the most comfortable I've ever seen. Jennifer ordered two sets for us and now we get a little spa treatment at home!

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Franklin Victorian Bed and Breakfast several times when my travels took me to the LaCrosse/Sparta area. Jennifer Dunn, Innkeeper, and her husband, Steve, offer a warm welcome which sets the tone for a very pleasant visit. The rooms are very attractive, comfortable and impeccably clean. The wonderful breakfast prepares their guests for whatever adventures the day holds, and the wine and cheese offered in the afternoon is a very nice addition. I really cannot say enough about this bed and breakfast. It is a First Rate experience!

Such a warm comfortable bed and breakfast. Jennifer was very sweet and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! The bed was so cozy we slept like babies. Loved the slippers in our room and all the little extras that were provided. We will be back and we recommend this B&B if you are in the Sparta area.

Our stay at the Franklin Victorian B & B was truly wonderful! My husband and I just wanted a weekend getaway to somewhere new and we found out gem. The Franklin Suite was comfortable and large with the bathroom being a whole seperate big room attached to our room. There were snacks and things to drink available all the time and Jennifer's cooking for breakfast was amazing! It was such a treat. We highly recommend staying here.

Jennifer was an exceptional host! She went out of her way to ensure my husband and I had everything we needed. Lots of attention to detail in our room and throughout the house with sweet little touches like candy and cookies. Breakfast was super delicious. We really enjoyed our interaction with Jennifer and were very pleased to have had the opportunity to stay in her beautiful B&B.

Excellent Bed & Breakfast. It was our first B&B and it was a great experience. The house is a beautiful historic house. The meals are absolutely amazing and the keepers are really nice. Rooms have their own AC and bathrooms. Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast if you visit Sparta.

My husband and I stayed here one night on a multi-day bicycling tour. I REALLY cannot recommend the Franklin Victorian B&B enough. This was, in all seriousness, the best B&B experience we've ever had anywhere. Jennifer has everything you'd ever need or want, the rooms are set up with your comfort in mind. Every little thing you might need or want is already thought of for you. The food was filling and delicious, and the house is just gorgeous. An enthusiastic five stars from me!

This is my favorite B&B! Jennifer is friendly and knowledgeable about all the local activities and restaurants. The home is beautifully restored and maintained. The decor makes you feel as though you have stepped into the past. All the rooms are well appointed and more than comfortable. There are so many thoughtful extras tucked into every room, that you feel pampered. And breakfast is to die for. (Gluten-free and other dietary issues are taken seriously and accommodated well)

Very nicely decorated old Bed and Breakfast in Sparta, WI. The owners are personally involved in all aspects of the experience. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The room rate was competitive with local hotels, but the service beats them hands down. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Sparta!

Just got back from a long weekend at the Franklin Victoria Inn with my mom and grandma, and had a fabulous time. The Inn itself is really comfortable, clean, historic, and close to loads of bike trails. We booked two rooms. Each room had a nicely furnished bathroom (complete with amazingly comfortable robes and slippers), a little seating area, and all the supplies needed for a relaxing weekend. There was even a little beverage and snack area in the hallway-so we could grab a soda, cookie, or bottle of water at any hour of the day. The rooms are TV free (which was fine by me), but the Inn has a TV downstairs to share and portable DVD players available for those who want to watch a movie in their rooms. And, the sheets were really soft and wonderful (we have actually been thinking about ordering a few sets for ourselves). The breakfasts were always interesting and filling. My favorites (of the three breakfasts) included a coconut pineapple porridge and a wild rice quiche. Overall, the food was good, but not fabulous (hence the 4 star rating). We always had a fresh pot of hot coffee delivered to the refreshment bar at 7:30 every morning (which was a nice way to wake up) and they were able to bring our breakfasts to our rooms (which was a really helpful service for our group who couldn't do the stairs very often). Overall, this place is great and definitely worth a stop next time you are in Sparta!
