Popped in after our show because I've heard so many things about this place. It wasn't over busy so we were seated right away. The atmosphere was good, relaxed and down to earth. Our waitress was good 👍🏾 friendly. The service was pretty quick foe our food. My friend ordered a plain burger and asked for a salad on the side as she cannot eat potatoes. That was a 3.75 uncharge. I ordered the chicken and waffle 🧇 and I have to say I was extremely disappointed 😞 The chicken should've been called batter with a hint of chicken and it's supposed to be spicy......still looking for the taste of spice anywhere. The waffle was pretty thin. I spent more time stripping the batter down because it was all dough. My plate was picked up with a side of batter. We ordered a slice of the colossal carrot cake and again super disappointed. The thinnest slice of cake, the price point for the cake is not worth it. My friend and I thought it would be a big enough slice to share. Nope. My friend liked her burger (she's on a special diet so she is limited in what she can eat) but my entire meal left me unfulfilled and eating when I came home later on.

A classic, perfect breakfast at Fran's! This is exactly what you hope for when you're craving a hearty, no-nonsense start to your day. The photo says it all: giant, fluffy omelettes packed with fresh veggies, paired with a massive serving of those addictive, crispy home fries. The toast was perfectly done, and the entire meal was delicious and satisfying. The portions are incredibly generous, guaranteeing you won't leave hungry. Fran's is the quintessential diner experience—reliable, delicious, and a true Toronto institution. A perfect spot for a weekend brunch or a weekday pick-me-up!

came here for lunch as a large group, and the service was great! coffee refills every few minutes and water refills just as often. the server was very kind and gave us some recommendations for what is their favourite on the menu. the portions were generous and at a very decent price rate. location was great in toronto, and lots of attractions around the quesadilla was a great price point for the portion. fresh ingredients inside. chicken and bacon panini had a soft bread and juicy chicken inside. bacon on all the dishes was fresh made and not too greasy which was appreciated. the panini bread tasted fresh and not too crunchy or stale. the banquet burger had a nice sized patty and was enjoyable. spaghetti had a lot of sauce which was great to dip the garlic bread in at the end. the garlic bread was delicious and went well with the dish. chicken club on rye bread was very good. we added avocado and the amount of avocado was very much worth the 1.50$ extra. great overall. sweet potato fries upgrade for 3.45$ came with a good portion. overall sweet place to come to! thanks for having us!

I must say the portion of the food here is super worth your money especially on moments where you are super duper hungry. Food taste and quality is average, I’ve had much better chicken and waffles before. The waffles and pancakes are superb but the chicken is a let down for me. The staff were also nice.

First time here yesterday for dinner before a play and I was not disappointed! Got seated right away and our server was friendly and efficient. Food was really good - I got the Rainbow Vegetarian Benedict and my friend had the Fran Burger. Her fries and my home fries were excellent.

Smashing IT! It's nostalgic. it's whimsical it's a place to be on a weekend morning or just before the start of a show. Here nestled in the heart of the downtown core just across the street from Massey Hall, and a few doors away from the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre and the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre, and the Eaton Centres lies one of Toronto's historical restaurant gems. The restaurant is large with cute little booths, a bar, and outdoor seating for those nice relaxing moments in the sun or in those cool days in autumn. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or just coffee or drinks, Frans has it all for you and for everyone. And they're open 24 hours of the day! So if you're sleepless, or after a night out on the town, why not head out to Fran's for a quick bite and some enjoyable moments. The staff are ultra friendly and very nice. I had the following: Coffee A+ Apple Pie A+ Big Breakfast A+ (two eggs, two sausages, bacon, home fries, and two pan cakes) Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice A+ Malibu Drink A++++ It's a great place to hang out. So don't hesitate to go to Frans and enjoy yourself! Your taste buds will be over the moon 🌚

Dropped by here for a quick dinner while visiting family staying at the nearby hospital. Service was very quick, the food was quite good it was just a bit noisy because it’s downtown and there was a show across the street at the hall. But it’s a great place for a bite to eat if you’re downtown.

This 24/7 place is a Toronto institution. Love the decor, the food, especially the all day breakfast and extensive menus. Right outside the Eaton Centre too, so people don’t need to walk more than one block away from the closest mall parking entrance!
