Formerly a convent, this hotel was super cozy and lovely to stay at. Patrick was amazing and super friendly - he actually made us a dinner reservation at a local spot in town too! We all got excellent rest for our first night after flying and woke to a delicious breakfast buffet included with the stay. Would highly recommend if in the area!

Crazy little find in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Clean, right in town, and the most comfortable beds we’ve had on our trip. Great breakfast spread too. But the star of the show was Patryck! He was so friendly and informative. He gave us a restaurant recommendation and it was one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at. We were asking him a million questions about the area and he answered them all happily! He deserves a raise

What a spectacular find, with no reservation, at night. Wonderful location, all the history, former convent with chapel, great rooms and outstanding breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Patrick.

I was blown away by the history, the location, the views and the town! I actually cried looking out the window from my room at the view of the lighthouse and thinking about the history of the hotel. I had no clue there was a real working church inside the hotel and the history of the building and the hospital next door. I had so many emotions staying there. The breakfast was amazing too with lots of selections.

Couldn't ask for a better location, near the harbor and with good food options nearby. Our room was clean and quiet, with a good view of the harbor and an extra-long late-June sunset. The guy at the front desk was very helpful.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a great experience. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The hotel itself is cozy and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful—they even send a detailed welcome email before arrival with useful information, which really helps make check-in smooth. Our room, while not particularly spacious, was perfectly designed to maximize comfort. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was varied, delicious, and well-prepared. However, one downside was how rushed we felt towards the end of the breakfast period. A staff member repeatedly reminded us that breakfast ended at 10 AM, starting around 9:40 AM, almost like a countdown. We completely understand the need to respect the timing, but guests should be able to enjoy their meal without feeling pressured to finish in a hurry well within the allotted time. One unique and special feature of the hotel is the chapel incorporated into the building. Whether you’re a religious person or not, it’s well worth a visit. It’s a peaceful and serene spot, perfect for taking a few quiet moments to reflect and unwind after a long day of traveling.

Originally built as a monastery, this quaint hotel still has a working chapel. Clean simple rooms, solid complimentary continental breakfast buffet, and great location close to the harbor and lighthouse trail.
