Wow. Great food and service amongst the hustle and bustle of the market. Well worth a visit. We had a 10 minute wait to be seated because it was so busy, but it was well worth it and allowed us to watch all the dishes passing by. Quite an extensive menu, and so fresh. Check it out.

This place is right in the heart of the market action, Alessandra our server handled all the hustle and bustle with poise and grace! The food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing. I had the Chardonnay wine. It was exceptional! Pepita, the restaurant dog was entirely charming as well!

At first glance, it seems loud, hectic, and chaotic, but it’s ultimately amazing! At Fratelli Burgio, you sit right in the middle of the action: on one side, customers are shopping for local specialties in the store, while on the other side, market stalls offer their fresh products. You sit in between and feel the vibrant life happening around you. The service was very good. Despite the busy atmosphere and many customers, it took less than five minutes to get a table. The staff is very friendly. Orders are taken and served quickly. Despite the apparent hustle and bustle, the staff is very attentive, keeping an eye on all tables and guests to respond promptly. A wide variety of dishes is offered, and the selection of drinks and wines is also good. We had the Terra Mare and the Slow Food Charcuterie Board. The quality of the food was good and tasty. The presentation was very appealing. The price-performance ratio was good. It was a great experience and a good stop for a midday snack to recharge and explore the rest of the city. Fratelli Burgio is a unique experience for those who want to enjoy the lively market hustle and delicious local specialties. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to get an authentic and vibrant impression of Syracuse.

Sicily #18, Ortigia #7, Italian #8, Salumeria #1, Wine bar #3: came here for my birthday lunch, and it did not disappoint! Fratelli Burgio is an absolute vibe! I couldn't believe how many people were eating here and how lively it was. We ordered a bottle of Sauv Blanc and their Terra Mare tagliere €18 to share. The wine was great as was the tagliere (combination of sliced smoked fish/seafood, cold cuts and cheese, vegetables and spreads). Everything was so tasty, and it was great being able to sample so many different things. We ended up returning to taste some amari and got some spreads to take back home! Highly recommend dining here and getting goodies for your trip home

If you haven't been to the street market in Ortigia, you should definitely go and make sure you will stop by Fratelli Burgio Salumeria for a taste of their wonderful panini. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I've been there twice in a week and our waiter remembered exactly what we had at the first time. Amazing!!!

We stayed in a place near by and had our first breakfast here at Fratelli Burgio. We thought about checking out other places but the food, the coffee and the service was so good that we stuck with this place for our whole stay. The sandwiches are amazing but also the baked goods and the coffee is also lovely. Everything is fresh and the servers are super nice and attentive, if you ever go to Ortigia check out this place and you won’t be disappointed.

We got takeaway sandwiches and they were very tasty. Just be careful when you check out - the cashier charged me 45 euros instead of 13 euros. She did rectify it though. The ordering process for takeaway is also chaotic.

Don’t miss to eat at this place if you visit Syracuse! Mixed starters, cold cuts and their bread is really good.
