Frederix Coffee Bar, Lunch & Diner

Fantastic local coffee, brunch and lunch spot. The interior is very stylishly appointed without being over the top. We had coffee and toasties with ham and cheese and salmon. All of which was very good and surprisingly filling. A very nice place to spend a lazy Sunday morning and escape the cold. Recommended

From outside i looked cozy and it definitely was! Great lunch menu and coffee. We also bought some bean which where quite good price for a rostery. Great music.

Phenomenal find a off the beaten track. Eclectic, casual atmosphere with killer espresso & food gems. Friendly, prompt service delights. When in Amsterdam, this place must be part of your experience!

What great customer service! The cheese panini was delicious, and the vegan berry crumble was subtle but uncompromising on the taste. Amsterdam can do with more of such cafes

Nice place. Nice staff. Got served a really bad cappuccino. No crema visible, all white. On top of that bad taste. No idea why they got so good reviews. Three years later, still the same. No aprovement from last. Coffee beans here are sold with no date of roasting, no bean type.

I went early in the morning, around 8am, to have a breakfast. I had nice toasted sandwich, whis melting cheese, ham, scrambled egg, and tomato. It was very Good, and had a quiet time. had

Excellent for coffee, lunch and/or working. Wi-fi available. English menu available. Quieter than other coffee shops and although tucked a bit away, worth the visit. Great lunch dishes including the one I ordered which was delicious: vegan chili. Coffee is good too!

Quite a cute little coffee bar. Hidden away from the crows and actually better than I expected. The interior is pretty although they could hoover a bit more. Also, when I'm at a place that calls them self a specialty coffee bar I expect some latte art instead of an ugly coffee. Taste was good (not perfect) but I just need something to please the eye as well

I was staying at an Airbnb for my first trip to Amsterdam and the host recommended this place just few blocks away. Obviously not bombarded by tourists yet since I met a fellow American and he wondered how I found this place (hello, Yelp much? OK, you are forgiven). Anyways, my first meal and brunch was so wonderful. I had salmon with eggs and coffee and sat outside. Service was great (the prelude to my overall happy experience in Amsterdam). Looks like the name comes from the 'micro' batches of coffee they are able to make with this fancy equipment. I cannot admit being a coffee connoisseur so you decide if the cup is divine or not. Nonetheless, stop by and hang with the locals and enjoy!!

The staff was super friendly and the ambience was welcoming! Their coffee is strong, but not bitter, smooth and balanced. Also the space itself is not crammed and well lit. Definitely coming back when I visit Amsterdam. It didn't feel too touristy.

Frederix is a micro roaster, what's a micro roaster you say? It's the smallest coffee bean roaster we've seen, roasting only 1kg of beans at a time. The roasted beans then make their way a few yards to the coffee machine. The result is seriously good coffee. One of our favourites. So good! Had a latte which was very tasty. The food was equally as good. I ordered something that may have been called green toast I don't remember now but it was really Good bread toasted with mustard poached eggs and spinach, sounded weird and my friend was skeptical but it was delicious! The flavors worked well. My friend had avocado toast and she loved it also. The vibe here is cool and people working were friendly. I would love to go back!

Super friendly barista. Walked in to get a flat white to go and just sat on the bench outside enjoying some February sunshine. Would definitely be back another time to sit in. Flat white was decent, but I am yet to determine which place serves the best one in Amsterdam...

Really quaint cafe! Absolutely delicious coffee and a really good breakfast. Really fair prices and wonderful service. I will definitely return next time I'm in Amsterdam!

I've been trying to remember the name of this place for the last year. I go to Amsterdam every summer and I stumbled on this place looking for a good coffee last July... well, great coffee they have. But amazing, unforgettable Avocado Toast they have as well. Honestly, I have dreams about it. I am coming back to Amsterdam this summer and I will not miss it. YUMMMMMMMM.

I was very skeptical going into this place because they replaced my beloved Two for Joy which used to be a cafe in the same location. I was relieved to find, therefore, that they actually changed almost nothing of the cafe except the actual coffee - a strange decision for the brand perhaps but a fortuitous one for me! It's still the same super-cozy cafe with truly delicious coffee, lovely staff, and (dare I say it) I think the menu may have actually improved dramatically. They offer a big range of brunch, lunch, and avocado-based foods (yes these deserve their own category). I will be here frequently.

Had a delicious breakfast here. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive! Excellent cappuccinos. Do go here!
