Had a quality experience. The corn nuggets came out perfectly crisp on the outside with that sweet, creamy corn center. The filet mignon was cooked exactly how we asked and was incredibly tender, full of flavor. The chicken fried steak was classic comfort food done right—crispy breading, tender meat. And of course, the cold Coronas were the perfect pairing to all of it.

Fried pickles were too breaded. Chicken in the chicken club tasted old and stiff. I didn’t receive the fries in the other reviews, when I received my plate I asked why I got steak fries and the waitress said their delivery hasn’t arrived yet. I wish I had know that prior to ordering them…

Quite possibly the worst experience in this town to date. We waited for the longest time to be seated by a girl named Sadie who had an attitude when seating us. Mind you multiple employees walked past us for over 7 minutes while we waited to be seated. We then waited some time for our waiter to show up. My silverware was disgusting. I told the waiter Douglas about it after he took our order. He never brought new silverware. He brought me the wrong drink. Someone else brought us our entrees and our appetizer. I had to get ahold of another waitress named Michaela she is the reason I was able to eat since Douglas didn’t care to get us what we needed. The couple times Douglas did come to the table he spoke Spanish, I’m not sure why he assumed both of us spoke Spanish but I was not a fan of not being able to understand him on top of him being a horrible waiter. He also made a joke saying that I must have dropped the silverware which I do not appreciate seeing as how I told him we were sat with the dirty cutlery. I am really disappointed in this entire experience. I will not be sat in his section in the event I go back.

The prices here are insanely good. A party of 6 barely over 50 dollars and we walked away with full bellies and delicious memories of chicken fried steak. I loved their fried okra- it was so hot and fresh, and had just the right crispness. Everyone loved what they got- the chips and white queso were awesome. I couldn’t even believe my chicken fried steak dinner was only 5.99! This was a great place to eat with my family.

Chicken fried chicken and the chicken fajitas are really good. Blackened fish was ok but the loaded baked potato was good. Coconut cream pie is good. Price is good 👍

I am picky & have no complaints about anything. I had the ribeye which was flatter than I was used to in the state I am from but it didn't matter; it was so good. Roll was fluffy & softly buttered on top; I chose green beans as the side & ordered okra as an extra for $2.49. Waitress was excellent! I didn't have to look at a TV & I wasn't sitting in a cold restaurant where I had to wear a jacket which is often where I come from..10/30/25 Thursday around 6:00 p.m. Door is on the side not on main street side upfront.

First time here. Ordered take out. It was for us just okay nothing spectacular. Most items were really under whelming. Not really sure how much is homemade though. The 10-oz steak and shrimp. I think there were barely 3 shrimp and 1 tablespoon of rice. The steak was very thin and not what a steak really should be. The chicken fried steak was bland. Ordered wings with extra sauce but somehow the extra sauce never made it into the order. The Okra, corn fritters, fried pickles and fried mushrooms were NOT hand battered and fried. The chocolate cake, pecan pie & tres leches cakes were just cakes, it was one of the saltiest pecan pies I have ever tasted. The chicken fried steak is offered at a great price, we actually did have to do a double take on that. The steak dinners are overpriced for what you get. For the amount of money that was spent on this order we expected just a bit more.

We love Fred's , best prices in town!! Service is always great !!!. We always great great service here, servers take care of the their customers. Large variety of items to choose from. You can't beat their chicken fry . Catfish is great .
