I received this romper as a gift, still with tags. It didn't fit me, and I didn't like it. I wanted to do an exchange, so I called this store. Manager "Danielle" told me I was approved for an exchange as a one time thing since I didn't have the receipt, and wrote down my name for other employees to know. I drove to the store, and went in for the exchange. They scanned the item, and the price showed on the screen, and they told me to shop around for something of the equivalent price. In the middle of my shopping, I was stopped and told that they couldn't do this exchange anymore because my item wasn't in stock anymore. I left the store and called the 800 number for free people, and had a person on the phone say they could speak to the employee helping me to approve it. I went in again, and this girl rudely told me that I couldn't do it. She refused to talk to the person on the phone, and kept on repeating that she wouldn't let me. I felt so humiliated and embarrassed. I'm so confused on the policy for returns, especially since i was allowed to shop but then was denied while doing so. Terrible customer service. I'm honestly embarrassed to go into Free People again, I'd rather just spend my money elsewhere.
