If you’re over 30 , no salesperson will speak to you nor help.

Staff friendly knowledgeable and helpful with sizes. They do customer service right! They go out of their way and are cool folks in general. When the register rang up accidentally the wrong price, it was quickly righted, she even graciously mailed it because the store was closing in order not to cause me another trip - excellent team in San Jose! Thank you! They made it all a pleasant experience, which makes you come back. (Not true about a certain staffer at Palo Alto. Steer clear of that store.) Fake!

Gift card scam!! I ordered a dress online and it’s out-of-bag stinky with suspicious dark spots. I brought it to the store to exchange another one. The person told me she needs to return the credit into a gift card then use that gift card to buy a new one. I was like, ok sounds like you know what you’re doing. But then for some reason the system is charging $18 more for the dress which I bought in full price. So she told me there is nothing she can do and I can just take the gift card to buy the dress again online myself. I doubted it but she said sorry but I cannot help you. Fine, I took the gift card and buy the dress online, again. Then the next day I got an email saying my order is cancelled because there is no more storage. And the credit returned to a GIFT CARD. At this point I don’t want any gift card anymore because I don’t know if I want to buy any clothes again in Free People anymore. This whole thing is ridiculous. Now I got no dress, a gift card that I don’t want to use. I want my money back to my credit card.

Fantastic people!! They were great in helping to find a great outfit! I had an online return as well, so easy to return! Low reviews are regarding online service which is not through their assistance, unfortunately!

Cute little store with a little bit of everything! Items are nicely nestled in.. Easy to peruse. Some staff - very helpful. Some don't care. It's not the easiest to spot from outside, nestled between giants like Brooks Brothers and others that have prominent signs outside.

This store used to be one of my favorite on Santana three years ago. Not sure what changed but, but they are just adding negative experiences... last one - I was returning something purchased online. I was refunded for the cheapest (pair of socks) item while returning not that cheap tunic. The girl who works there (will have to check her name on the receipt), decided that I was returning socks... there were more items on that order and I noticed what happened only when I saw email notification about the return. When I went back to the store they corrected it, of course, since I was back in less than ten minutes, but still very disappointing experience! And overall, I noticed a decline in service over the last 3 yaers, however the same decline is noticeable in the store in Stanford shopping center, and between the two this store is definitely better.

Cute little boutique to get your boho on. You can find everything here from intimate apparel, jewelry, socks, hats, handbags, belts, and clothing. The only thing you probably cannot find are shoes. I love the soft fabrics, excellent for weekends lounging around the Row with friends. If you do not find your size or favorite color, the staff will happily order it to be shipped to your home!

Yelp
What terrible customer service! I came in to do a return for an item I bought a week ago and the girl at the counter accused me of damaging the item and ripping off the price tag (which if she had given me a chance was in the bag). So rude and entitled.

Yelp
As a mall employee I love shopping and browsing for new items on my breaks. I was excited to see a store here in the mall. The first time I went in to browse I was not greeted or asked if I needed help by the two girls behind the counter. I left shortly afterwards. Today I went in to see if they had an item in store. There were 4 employees that I saw. No one greeted me, asked me if I needed anything or even looked at me. It was a very disappointing customer service experience and I do not plan on coming back.

Yelp
Fantastic people!! They were great in helping to find a great outfit! I had an online return as well, so easy to return! Low reviews are regarding online service which is not through their assistance, unfortunately! Also they do not have control on how long someone had the item before they gave it as a gift, maybe after they could not return it. They are extremel good on trying to get returns accomplishe, but they have limits. Love these people, y they make my day!!! Only reason I shop online as well!

Yelp
The young ladies who assisted me were so much fun and professional at the same time. They were so good at what they did I bought a pair of pants that I didn't even need. Oh, but the pants are very cute. :-) I only went there to return an outfit that was too large. Thank you ladies for all of your help and the compliments.

Yelp
Went in to return some items I had been hanging on to for some time. The woman who "helped" me (didn't get her name) had a horrible attitude and was very rude and condescending from the very beginning of our interaction. She seemed very annoyed that I didn't know my order numbers and had to go through some extra steps to figure out the return. I felt like this woman went out of her way to make me feel uncomfortable. I have a background in customer service and I'm just generally polite to people around me, and would never talk to someone the way she talked to me. I have been shopping at Free People for a long time but after my experience at the store I immediately left and spent my money at Anthropologie where the vibe was much friendlier! I will not be returning to this store for more unpleasantness.

Yelp
I received this romper as a gift, still with tags. It didn't fit me, and I didn't like it. I wanted to do an exchange, so I called this store. Manager "Danielle" told me I was approved for an exchange as a one time thing since I didn't have the receipt, and wrote down my name for other employees to know. I drove to the store, and went in for the exchange. They scanned the item, and the price showed on the screen, and they told me to shop around for something of the equivalent price. In the middle of my shopping, I was stopped and told that they couldn't do this exchange anymore because my item wasn't in stock anymore. I left the store and called the 800 number for free people, and had a person on the phone say they could speak to the employee helping me to approve it. I went in again, and this girl rudely told me that I couldn't do it. She refused to talk to the person on the phone, and kept on repeating that she wouldn't let me. I felt so humiliated and embarrassed. I'm so confused on the policy for returns, especially since i was allowed to shop but then was denied while doing so. Terrible customer service. I'm honestly embarrassed to go into Free People again, I'd rather just spend my money elsewhere.
