Yelp
Free People is a wholesale company that originates from West Philly, all started by Dick Hayne. Names, such as Bulldog, Ecote, Cooperative, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters were used, but then reverted right back to the name they started off with - 'Free People.' Dresses, tops, tees, sweaters, jackets, jeans, jumpsuits/rompers, pants, skirts, shoes, accessories, and intimates are offered, all with a whimsical, free-bird like flair to them. One thing that I love is that the fixtures found in Free People stores are all handmade (for example, the crocheted hangers)! I'm a fan of their sweaters and their army jackets, and the sales staff are very helpful and sweet when you walk in. Don't forget to check out their sales rack, as you can score some great deals. This is a pleasant addition to the M Street boutiques in Georgetown!
