Free walking tour Amsterdam

I joined a walking tour in Amsterdam with Nadine from the Free Walking Tour agency, and it was honestly one of the best tours I’ve done. Nadine was super friendly, funny, and really knowledgeable about the city. She explained the history in a simple and interesting way, and also shared lots of small local stories that I would’ve never discovered on my own. The route was well planned — not too rushed, not too slow — and she kept the whole group engaged the entire time. I really appreciated how she answered everyone’s questions with patience and gave great recommendations for food, places to see, and things to do. Overall, a really great experience. If you’re in Amsterdam and want to learn about the city in a fun way, I definitely recommend taking a tour with Nadine!

The walking tour is well worth the time and steps. Sebastian is a great guide. Engaging & very knowledgeable about the area. I always recommend a short tour early in your trip. You learn so much & are quickly acclimated to the city. Highly recommend the Free Walking Tour Classic.

Really enjoyed this walking tour! Krijn was so personable and easy to get along with, and you could tell straight away he knew what he was talking about. He shared loads of interesting bits about Amsterdam that we would never have picked up on by ourselves. It was relaxed, informative, and just a really lovely way to see the city. We had a great tour with our guide Misaël today. You can tell that he is a local as he knew every fact, corner and anecdote about Amsterdam and was able to answer all of our questions. Not only did he do this with a great sense of humour, he also gave the best recommendations for our stay afterwards (museums, restaurants, pubs etc.) In spite of the cold and wet weather (even snow), he made sure that we enjoyed every moment (by providing shelter indoors where possible). Sebastian was phenomenal. Lots of history included in his tour, mixed with a great sense of humor. Two hour walking tour - don't let this prohibit you from the tour. Walk a little, stand while he talks, walk some more, stand. Great time, Definitely recommend.

Would highly recommend! Sebastiaan’s passion for Dutch history and its lasting influences on the rest of the world was fascinating. We had excited discussions regarding what we learned. He was friendly and the walking pace was ideal. Seriously, do it!

We just finished this walking tour and absolutely loved it! It was the perfect mix of fun and super informative without ever feeling heavy or tiring. This was a good tour, 2 hours total, we didn’t walk as much as I thought but that’s because everything was so close together. Sebastian was very informative along the tour and had good stories to share with us. Def recommend for an afternoon to get a grasp of the city and the history!
