Free Walking Tour Medellin - Real City Tours

This was an excellent, informative free walking tour. Pablo was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable! I went with my husband and 11 year old son. We all loved the tour and learning more about Medellin. The tour did touch on real aspects of life in Medellin (past and present) including sex work and drugs. Pablo was aware that some parents may not want their kids to be exposed to those discussions and sights and gave us a heads up before hand, which was very thoughtful.

Absolutely fantastic walking tour and the best way to introduce yourself to the city. Our guide Dio was incredible, he educated us on the history and transformation of the city in a very engaging and easy to understand way. He also shared his own personal experiences which was very moving. All in all a must-do activity while in Medellin.

Defently one of the best free walking Tours we ever had (and we did a lot all around the world). German, the guide, was so lovely, funny and you see that he loves his job and city. In my view a must Must this tour. He explains you the truth about the city and of course the nice things :)

Our tour guide Dio provided us with a thorough retelling of the story of Medellin, leading us through several sites downtown. His way of breaking down the timeline of the city's history with context and stories made it very clear and easy to remember. He shared with us details about history, politics, the economy, culture, urban renewal, and bits of his own personal experiences and perceptions that brought it all to life. Dio was very knowledgeable -- he answered every question from the group with great intelligence and insight. The pace of the tour was veyr good, and I left with so much more knowledge and familiarity with this interesting and wonderful place. This is one of the best walking tours of any city I've ever experienced. Thank you to Real City! I recommend it for everyone who visits Medellin.

Fantastic experience! The best neighborhood tour I have ever taken! Toto’s energy is contagious, and his respectful translation of Hortensia’s stories and explanations was inspiring and such a valuable contribution to my understanding of this beautiful, complex city and country. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Sure, do the Comuna 13 tour, but please also consider doing this Comuna 4 (Barrio) Transformation tour!

What a wonderful experience! Loved our guide, Gérman. He was very knowledgeable and patient with our group, that was very diverse in age. He was so passionate for his city and it definitely showed in his presentation of the information given. Would highly recommend using Real City!!

Pablo is amazing. He is a wonderful storyteller. I did the English tour with him today and it was one of the best walking tours I have done. He explained the history from a neutral standpoint but at the same time, expressed his own opinions as well. He is a very solid storyteller and highly recommend the Tour
