The 7 Best Tour Companies in Iceland (Updated 2025)
"I found CityWalk Reykjavik's free two-hour walking tour to be a great way to get oriented — they run daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm, have been operating since 2014, and the local guides mix Icelandic history, lesser-known facts, and humor while pointing out overlooked parts of town and offering money-saving tips for this expensive city; the tour is technically free but you should tip your guide what you think it was worth." - Matthew Kepnes
A very good walking tour with a knowledgeable guide, Marteiin. Interesting, engaging, and with humor, he shared much history and interesting facts. I highly recommend it 👍🏻

David was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgable and did a great job explaining each site and answering questions! Booking is necessary and I highly recommend doing this tour, especially the first day! It takes you through a lot of the city and provides information on attractions and the town’s history!

This walking tour was excellent! Due to numbers, the initial tour I booked was cancelled however the guide sent a helpful message the day before so I could rebook for the other tour that day. The tour gives a good snippet of the city, is very easy walking wise and plenty of warm stops given it was -15 windchill! Martin the guide was hilarious and also had good facts about the city. The tour takes cash at the end or you can pay online if want to stay cash free. Would highly recommend the tour if visiting Reykjavik!

Ási made sure to answer all our questions and kept the group interested the whole time. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Reykjavík!

Nori was a superstar!! He spoke impeccable English, was very knowledgeable and very funny. The weather was not great but nobody left the group early to avoid the rain as Nori was so entertaining.
I loved the way that if someone asked a question he would repeat it out loud for everyone to hear before giving his insightful response.
I highly recommend this tour.
Nori, thank you so much and best of luck with your wedding.
