The 22 Best Things to Do in Oslo in 2025

"I always start my trips with a free walking tour; Free Tour Oslo organizes daily 90-minute tours that are a solid, budget-friendly introduction to the city, letting you see the main sights, learn history, meet other travelers, and get answers from an expert local guide—just remember to tip at the end." - Matthew Kepnes

Daniel was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We covered a lot of great spots in Oslo in just two hours. Daniel's recommendations of things to do, food to eat, and places to visit were excellent.

My friend and I completed the free walking tour with Daniel as our guide. We had just arrived in Oslo and it was a great way to get oriented. During the tour Daniel pointed out a few details and shared information that we would not have otherwise seen or known. Thanks for a great start to our day!

This was a delightful and informative tour. The guide was knowledgeable and funny! The tour helped us get oriented and make plans for what to see on subsequent days in Oslo. Very enjoyable.

Clear instructions. Relaxed tour. The city was empty due to Sunday. Our guide was informative and pleasant. Easily doable tour. Started at the tiger 🐅 Infront of the train station and finished at Parliament building. Plenty to explore later on

I did the free walking tour Feb 17 at 1pm and had an excellent guide. I forgot this name but he was from Colombia. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Norway, easy to understand, and spoke at a reasonable pace. He interjected a good about of humour into his tour which was appreciated. Despite it being “extremely slippery” due to ice we had a great time. Would highly recommend if you just arrived to Oslo and are looking to learn more about the history of this country.

Our guide was amazing (thanks Ramon 🙏🏼). He was very knowledgeable but most of all he made the guided tour engaging and with plenty of anecdotes. He also recommended some very cool places to visit that might be less banale (eg. Oslo public library). If all the other guides are as good as Ramon, I would 100% recommend it!

Fantastic tour today with Daniel. Have taken a lot of walking tours and Daniel was one of the best. He did a great job of introducing group to Oslo providing information on history of city as well as major sites to see and other recommendations (foods to try, restaurants, best sites to see, etc.).
