I used to suffer from terrible gastrointestinal issues, and after years of trying to figure out the cause, I decided to switch where I was sourcing my meat. I stopped buying meat from grocery stores like Whole Foods and started ordering from Freedom Farms — and my stomach has never been better. Even my husband, who is extremely skeptical about this kind of thing, noticed a difference almost immediately. The first time we ordered from Freedom Farms, we let our supply run out before placing our next order (big mistake!). We had to grab “organic, grass-fed” meat from the store as a backup, and within a day, both my husband and I were violently sick — and so was our dog. She had diarrhea, and we had it coming out of both ends (TMI, but it matters). That’s when it fully clicked: we need to be buying straight from the farm. We now exclusively feed our dog food we cook ourselves, using Freedom Farms meat. We use the bones for bone broth and add the hearts and livers into her meals. Our vet has literally told us she is the epitome of health. Since switching, my own blood work has also improved across the board — all my levels are better. I truly believe a lot of store-bought meat is falsely advertised, even when it claims to be grass-fed or organic. Looking back, I think I was constantly inflamed from consuming poor-quality meat. The taste difference is undeniable too — whenever I eat out or have meat from a store in a pinch, it genuinely tastes and feels like rubber to me. Thankfully, that almost never happens anymore because we make sure to order well ahead of time. Beyond the quality, I love everything this company stands for — transparency, integrity, American farming, and education. The fact that you can even visit their farm says everything. I’ve seen some negative reviews, and honestly, I can’t believe them. Freedom Farms has truly changed my life, and my dog has never been happier. Thank you, Freedom Farms, for doing things the right way. You’ve made a real, measurable difference in our health and our lives.

I've been ordering beef and pork from Freedom for a few years now. Never disappointed. The fact that I can purchase meat thats All Natural, Steroid Free is important to me and my family. Most recently I ordered a prime rib for Christmas. AWESOME!!!!!!!! Waiting for my freezer to empty so I can order my next 1/2 cow and pig. Keep up the great work guys.

I purchased a half cow from Freedom Farms about a year ago, and I’ve waited to write this review because I wanted to give the meat a fair chance. Unfortunately, after trying multiple cuts over time, I can say the flavor and quality were nothing like what I expected from beef, grass-fed or otherwise. Nearly every cut has an extremely gamey, wild flavor and a tough texture. I’ve eaten plenty of beef in my life, including grass-fed, and this tasted nothing like normal beef. Some cuts were so dark and lean they resembled wild game more than beef, and even the steaks that looked more typical still had the same strong off-flavor. Because of this, I now have a freezer full of meat I won’t eat. I paid close to $3,000 for what I believed would be high-quality beef, and I’m very disappointed in the product I received. I’m sharing this review so others are aware and can make an informed decision before purchasing. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend buying a beef share here.

Wow! We ordered some NY Strips to see how they were. Fantastic steaks. Going to be putting together our next order for more steaks and of course we will be trying the bacon. Keep up the great work. God bless you all and God bless America!

Google
I purchased skirt steak and burgers. Everything-from the website to the ordering, to the shipping (across the country)-was excellent and smoothly executed. Most importantly, these were the best burgers and steak my guests and I have ever eaten!

My family just placed our second order of 1/2 cow. All I can say is, after having our Freedom Farms beef, store bought just doesn’t cut it. Great quality beef, natural and supporting fellow Americans - it’s a win -win. Thank you Freedom Farms !

Google
I ordered the 20lb box and oxtails and am very happy with the quality of the meat, and the environmentally conscious farming. My political beliefs do not align with the owners, but I don’t think it’s fair that people leave negative reviews if they weren’t even a customer (as the owners stated was happening on a recent Facebook post). I wish freedom farms continued success, and hope they refrain from political messaging in the future…at least the messaging that insults some of their customers?

Great experience with these guys. Ordered a cutting board for a Christmas gift and while it took a little time to get here, they were communicative, friendly and even tossed in some bacon and burgers "on the house" for my patience. Made in the USA - love it. Merry Christmas guys/gals.

Yelp
Bought the 10lb/20 burger package from Freedom Farms and they're the best burgers I've ever had, let alone ones I've cooked myself at home. Will be purchasing from Freedom Farms again very soon! Items were shipped quickly, properly, and securely! Service was incredible!

Yelp
Yelp should include minus stars !! It still would not reflect the experience with this business. I agree with others here and elsewhere, "DO NOT BUY FROM THEM" ... heard their advertising while in NY on a conservative radio station in which they describe themselves as maga supporters etc, which is fine, whatever ... not sure what that has to do with selling beef and not my thing but gave them a shot anyway.... Should have read the other reviews first (usually do on Amazon for example because its easy) here or the BBB but did not think of it. Had to sign up here to leave a review but felt compelled to do so .. like others, out $$$ .. no product, no help. They are probably resellers of other businesses and actually not legit in terms of actually raising their own animals etc .. anyway .. hard to say what is what these days with internet, websites, AI .. etc .. but this place is beyond a joke ... better off at Whole Foods honestly .. Plenty of other choices out there ..

Yelp
Honestly i was going to go into a long winded review of this farm but apparently someone literally wrote the review I was going to back in January of this year. We had almost the exact same experience as they did. In short, they took my $1450.00 for 1/4 of cow. Except for the filet mignon it is inedible. I also got terrible cuts of meat and an over abundance of chop meat. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS FARM. Did I mention I had to wait four months for this order with 0 communication despite my writing emails and calling every week. They sure knew how to communicate with us in order to get their money right away. Shameful

Yelp
We have loved everything about FF! Not only are their steaks, hamburgers (BEST EVER), boneless chicken breasts delicious and tender, have attentive customer service but what they are doing in the world of producing high quality food for our people withOUT inputting toxic chemicals, is wonderful and Godly. High praises deserved right here! Can't speak highly enough of this business, and we're pretty picky when it comes to what we eat! Much appreciation to the business owners, as well as everyone they employ, including their livestock; farming is not easy and we need to support our farmers!

Yelp
this was our first order we really liked the bacon and sausage but we have had two ham steaks so far from the package and we paid a lot of money for the meat and to get that shipped here to Alaska. These ham steaks are horrible. They're all gristle mostly bone, a little meat on them and tough. I am really disappointed in this meat. I have never had ham tough as this.

Yelp
Placed my first order with FF. The people that run this are amazing. Wholesome, really nice people. I will be a lifelong customer. If you have any doubts, don't. They are quick to reply to emails with any questions and always have phenomenal promotions. Farm to table in its truest sense - the way nature intended. God bless you all for doing what you do!

Yelp
Please review the other 1 star ratings. I can't review the product because I never received it ... but I can review the owners and their business practices. That is the 1 star which would be less if possible. They have my money and I have no product after 10 months of waiting. Plenty of excuses as to why it can't be shipped but no credit issued to my card while I'm waiting. I have my bank working on it and the owner actually told the bank that "the merchandise is still in his possession" therefore he will not issue a refund! Wow! I asked for proof of shipping since that would be part of his tax return - crickets. I then filed with the BBB and he replied that it was up to me to stop any charges I disagreed with. Double Wow! Plenty of good farms out there I've discovered during this ordeal and I've been happily spending a small fortune on grass fed ever since !! I don't think these folks know much about running a business and certainly nothing about customer service and even less about ranching. Rude, arrogant, dishonest, so the reviews on the product they send don't surprise me. Your mileage may vary of course.

Tammy S.

Yelp
No response to my other review. Hamburger patties tasted old. Customers service is not good.

Cindy R.

Yelp
Rude, arrogant and uncaring people. If they don't like what you have to say the simply write you off. They should stick to the city life - they have no business calling themselves farmers.

Yelp
Terrible experience! I am not posting this review to hurt a local company or get anything for free. I just wanted what was owed to our family, what we were promised and what we paid for. We were missing 25lbs of meat and that was significant enough for us to fight this longnto tey and get it. This review is the result of being treated like we don't matter and to let others know how they handle things NOT when things go right, but when things go wrong. Please refer to our pictures on our Yelp review to see our text conversation. Dana literally promises to send me the missing meat but then ignores me for the next 3 weeks. Please, just go to ANY other cattle farm. You'll get more meat, a better price, and easily better customer service. Dana (the owner) was "nice" until we questioned our order. Then he lied to us, ignored us for weeks, then they got angry at me and hung up on me just for trying to respectfully settle the discrepency. We have been patient, courteous, respectful and professional to the end, so we can sleep at night knowing we did our best to make this right in the right way. First, we were patient, but our order took 4 MONTHS to be delivered! If you look at this pictures we posted on Yelp, it shows that Dana promised our order was going in to the butcher all the way back in October. Then, we kept getting pushed back all the way until mid January. The communication was almost zero and I had to keep reaching out to them to follow up. We were patient but it was a bit frustrating. We tried to understand and gave them no grief for this. Once we finally got our order, we ended up paying $1500 for only 75lbs of meat. That's $20 a pound! We were missing 25lbs of meat, the cuts are very small, and we only got a few correct steaks from our cut sheet. The rest was very expensive ground meat. Also, some of the vacuum seals were bad and blood was leaking everywhere. Dana promised 100lbs for a 1/4 cow, which is 20lbs lighter than other farms, by the way. You should really pay no more than $8 a pound hanging weight. We wanted to try them out because we liked their message. But we only got 75lbs and the wrong items, all in 3 small boxes. I professionally weighed the meat on our farms produce scale right away and called the delivery driver before he left town and asked if there was another box on the van he forgot. He said he would pull over and check but never called me back. So, I reached out to Dana directly to explain my concern. He seemed to care and promised to fix it the next week. When I didn't hear back from him after waiting a week, I texted, emailed and called for almost 3 weeks. All atttempts were ignored. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PICTURES OF MY TEXTS WITH DANA ON OUR YELP REVIEW THAT ACCEPTS PICTURES. They clearly show how he told me he would send the missing meat out the following week, then completely ghosts me until yesterday, almost 3 weeks. This was in addition to my emails and phone calls that were also ignored. Lauren (his wife) finally calls me back, but only after I threaten to leave a bad review, which I had no intention of doing until now. That only made it worse since she was very rude and abrasive towards me. She made me feel terrible and hung up on me because I was respectfully standing my ground about our experience so far. All I wanted was what was owed to us, nothing more. Just wanted what Dana promised me he would fix, and what we paid for. We understand mistakes, they happen at our family farm all the time. What matters is how you handle them and making sure the customer is taken care of, no matter what. Because without our customers, we are nothing. Freedom Farms forgot this here. Just go somewhere else. NOT the grocery store, of course since their meat is unhealthy for you as you know. Go to another local America loving cattle farm that will take care of you, even when they make a mistake, for that is when it counts the most. God Bless.

Yelp
In the past, I have always purchased meat at the supermarket and that has been fine. But, after eating the steak and hamburgers from Freedom Farms, I now know the difference between just fine and fantastic! I highly recommend that anyone looking for a 'dining experience' give the meat, poultry, and pork from Freedom Farms a try!

Yelp
I can not say enough about Freedom Farms. When my husband, Scott, said we had a delivery today from Freedom Farms I couldn't contain my joy! I have seen first hand on the farm how well taken care of all the animals are. They are loved and provided an optimal environment. The result, amazing meat that you can not only see the difference but you can taste the difference. We have not purchased supermarket meat in a very long time. Cheers to freedom farms!
