Freedom Hostel Budva

I had an incredible stay at Freedom Hostel in Budva! The location is fantastic, just a stone’s throw away from the beach and situated right in the Old Town, making it perfect for both relaxing and exploring. The volunteers at the hostel were amazing—super friendly and made sure everyone was having a great time. There were food, drinks, and dancing, and the overall atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy. I was lucky to be there during the Budva Festival, which made the experience even more unforgettable! If you’re looking for a fun, lively place to stay with a great community, this hostel is a must!

This hostel is open to young and old. The manager, who may also be the owner is great, very friendly and personable. He has experience in the hospitality and cruise ships (USA). The hostel is wonderfully decorated, well equipped kitchen and a relaxing lounge with sofas with calming bossa nova music. The hostel is in the middle of old town. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Freedom Hostel! The place was clean, located right in the heart of the city, and offered amazing views. The staff were also incredibly nice and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Budva!

Great hostel perfect location. View from the room upstairs is spectacular! Beds could have been less creaky and electric connections could have looked a bit less “diy” and safer. Also WiFi could be better.

Amazing place to stay. In the heart of old town, with a very helpful manager, Miloš, who gave me and my friend all the help and advise for us to have a great trip. The beds were super nice, and the facilities are the best I’ve seen in any hostel. Highly recommend staying there.

The location of the hostel is exceptionally authentic in the middle of the Old Town. I loved the kindness of the hosts, and the traveller`s room the most. Kitchen was perfect! It is super close to the beaches, literally like a minute; surrounded by restaurants. The actual room does not provide AC, and if you go in summer/spring [most probable], then it is hard. For this price, I expected a little bit more bed comfort.

The view of the Old Town is magical, and the balcony feels cozy. The interior design is modern and has a clean, polished finish.

Good location in the the old town. Easy to find. The hostel is okay. The toilets/ showers are not the best. For some reason people find it had to close the shower door so everything gets soaking wet when you need to go to the bathroom. The toilets are in with the shower so as you can imagine with only 3 in the whole hostel, there’s always a queue. the kitchen was useable…the hood of the cooler has perhaps never been cleaned. The plates and cutlery were always a bit dirty. Pots and pans have seen their better days a long time ago! There’s a nice little balcony to use although mainly occupied by smokers. Bed was okay with curtains and a locker. Street noise wasn’t a problem windows were pretty good. The girl cleaning came in at 8am to change the bin while everyone was sleeping. Rather than remove the bin she did it in the room including shaking the new bag to open it and waking everyone up. I stayed two nights which was perhaps one night too many.
