3 Best Day Trips from Portland, Maine: Ogunquit, Freeport, and the Kennebunks | Condé Nast Traveler
"Anchored by the world retail headquarters of outdoor equipment and gear outfitter L.L. Bean, Freeport Village Station is a stable of discount designer shops and independent boutiques. It also has worked hard with the Town of Freeport to maintain the area's history and rural nature, so even while the outlets are all about shopping, all you have to do is walk five minutes off of Main Street and you're among historic homes. Stroll a few more minutes away, and you're in the wilderness of Casco Bay." - Alexandra Hall
Plenty of free parking and along with having a few nice stores it is central to a lot of shops along the main road. Enjoyed our time there. Wish there were real food options here but there are places very close that are good options. There is a seafood cart right out front but saw it too late.

Tons of awesome shops and it also feels like walking through village as opposed to a giant outdoor shopping center. Great sales too!

We came up from Portland on a cloudy morning. Well worth the short drive. A nice selection of stores offering good quality products at good prices. There’s LLBean Under Armor North Face Patagonia to name a few. There’s also some restaurants It’s easy to get to and there’s plenty of parking.

I frequently travel to Boston for work. Taking the train from this location is so convenient. It doesn’t matter what time of day, I feel safe. You also can park overnight in the garage.

I didn't even know this was here! Unfortunately, shops close at 8. We arrived late and only had time for 1 shop but I'm excited to go back and explore more.
