Was here for the McDonald's 50th Anniversary Exhibition. The traffic control and the entry quotas kept the entire experience comfortable. The 1:1 Paterson Street set, recreating the first McDonald's in Causeway Bay, was impressively detailed. The neon signs added a nice retro touch, and the full Happy Meal toy collection was a delightful trip down memory lane. It’s a thoughtful, well-executed celebration I’d happily recommend.

I attended an immersive experience at Freespace, and found it genuinely interesting. The installation blended technology and art in a thoughtful way. The staff were welcoming, and the venue itself, is perfectly suited to innovative events. A great find for those who enjoy digital art and unique experiences. 👍

Freespace is a contemporary performance venue located within the West Kowloon Cultural District. It offers a variety of events, including live music, theatre, and experimental performances, catering to a wide range of artistic tastes. The surrounding green spaces and proximity to the waterfront make it a pleasant place to visit even outside of event times. While it might not always be busy, the venue provides a unique platform for creative expression and is worth checking out if you’re in the area or interested in exploring Hong Kong’s arts scene.

Great venue with excellent sound, lighting and size. Perfect for seeing bands and no crap to get in. Just walk and you are there.

Freespace is a great place for reserved area to host a live performance. The view is stunning but it gets very hot in the summer and the performing area is facing west which the sun shines right at you in the afternoon. Winter is definitely a good place to have an event there.

Came across this newly developed arts and cultural hub through concert of Ms Stacey Long in freespace. The venue facilitates freedom of artistic expression, welcomes and encourages participation of diverse audiences, provides excellent live audio effects. WestK is such a place where art becomes alive!

Overall review of the West Kowloon district. Been to this place many times and each time was an amazing experience. Enjoyed the architecture, the art, the performances and the environment. A place you don't want to miss in Hong Kong.

After spending the whole morning hopping through the galleries at M+, I felt my energy reserve was low. It was just past noon and I wanted to find a restaurant to sit down before the lunch crowds arrived. I was on my way to the cluster of restaurants recommended by M+ staff, but somehow I took a detour and discovered Livehouse. Livehouse is a restaurant cum bar, situated in Free space, the center for contemporary performance in the West Kowloon Art Park. It's the only eatery there but what a gem it turned out to be. Though there was a slight autumn breeze blowing, I purposely chose a table in the open area of the restaurant. The view from where I sat was simply 'beautiful'. (see photos) The food (I ordered fish, fries, veggies, cappuccino) was good. So was the service. BTW the prices on the lunch menu were very friendly.
