Fremont Street Experience forced to shut down the return of live entertainment - Eater Vegas

"The governor’s office dealt a blow to the return of live entertainment when it shut down Fremont Street Experience’s plans to bring back its free shows. The venue had planned to restart its free shows with local artists, but the return of ambient live entertainment has been postponed until further notice following guidance from Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak and public health officials. The venue maintains safety protocols including disinfection and social distancing measures." - Susan Stapleton

The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas is a vibrant blend of history, entertainment, and modern spectacle. Stretching across five blocks, this iconic pedestrian mall is famous for its massive LED canopy—Viva Vision—which lights up the sky with dazzling light shows synced to music. It honors the legacy of old Vegas, where some of the city's first casinos and neon signs originated, offering a nostalgic yet electrifying atmosphere. Live performances, street artists, zip lines, and bustling crowds make it a hub of constant energy. While some view it as a more gritty, less polished counterpart to the Las Vegas Strip, others appreciate its authentic, raw charm. Fremont Street Experience is a dynamic space where the past and present of Las Vegas collide, making it a must-see destination for visitors seeking both history and high-energy entertainment.

Better than the main strip if you ask me! The night life here is incredible! So if the day life as well! Easy to get to using the Deuce Bus. So much to do at Fremont and the street entertainers were amazing! We will spend more time here when we’re next in Vegas.

Fremont Street is wild—in the best way. It’s like old-school Vegas mixed with a street party under a massive LED ceiling that puts on epic light shows every hour. There’s live music, street performers, bars everywhere, and even a zipline flying right over the crowd. You can visit during the day, but it’s way more fun at night when the lights, music, and energy really kick in. It’s loud, colorful, and totally over the top—perfect for people-watching and soaking up the chaos. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Vegas. Just go with the flow and enjoy the ride!

Google
Think sensory overload with lots of lights, people and music and a lot of interesting sights. A really fun place to visit although at points it was a bit much for the children based on certain costumes/dancing dotted about. This prompted a lot of questions. The light shows start at 6pm. We made it there for the 7pm show and the place was already buzzing. A great place to hang out for a few hours.

Google
Visited this street at around 11am with family and a week day. It's lovely to walk up and down. It's under cover so it's great when the sun is shining. Few girls ask if you want family photos but we declined. Plenty of shops. Good bargains too as a number of shops sell items for 99cent. Wife and daughter did the zip wire (the 29 dollar one which is half way). Both loved it. Brought my son to the arcade to keep him entertained while others got ready. Well worth a visit.

Google
My experience at Fremont Street in Las Vegas’ Old Town was absolutely electrifying, with two visits offering distinct vibes. I went once at dusk and once at night, and both times were unforgettable, though the later it got, the more vibrant the atmosphere became. The street pulses with energy, packed with tourists soaking in the lively scene. There’s something for everyone: DJs spinning tracks, street performers dressed as quirky characters, live bands belting out tunes, dancers moving to the beat, and magicians pulling off tricks that draw gasps from the crowd. The Fremont Street Experience canopy show is a highlight, with its dazzling light displays and music synchronized across the massive overhead screen, leaving everyone in awe. Snapping photos with the vibrant backdrop or quirky street characters added to the fun, creating memorable keepsakes from both visits. The atmosphere feels like a non-stop party, and it’s hard not to get swept up in the excitement. That said, the environment can feel a bit chaotic. The smell of marijuana lingers in the air, especially at night. Earlier in the day, I noticed quite a few homeless people around, and the parking garage stairwells were grimy, with a faint stench of urine. Despite these drawbacks, the sheer energy, incredible canopy show, and photo ops make Fremont Street a must-visit. The later you stay, the more the place comes alive, each moment bursting with unforgettable chaos and charm.

Except for the topless chick dressed like a nun with pasties on her boobs, Fremont was not too racey. It’s a crap shoot if you should bring your kids. Weed is legal and flowing freely! Lost of people booze and great bands along this old Vegas strip.

Google
This was so fun. There is SO much happening it's hard to take it all in. The lights, the screen, the zip lining, the music, etc. I'd been to Vegas several times but never made it over here and I'm so glad I did this time! Every hour on the hour they do a cool little 5 min show with the giant screen that runs the path of the street. Definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas is unique and lively atmosphere. Surrounded by fun places to eat and grab a drink, with places to get tattoos, buy gifts, attend concerts, and take photos of people performing different characters. Every hour on the hour they do a cool little 5 min show with the giant screen that runs the path of the street. Also there are 3 stages and concerts playing every night. The vibrant light show on the canopy, the variety of street performers, and the generally more affordable options compared to the Strip. It's very crowded, especially at night. The Fremont Street Parking Garage is located on the corner of 4th St. and Carson St. The first 15 minutes in the garage are free. $4.00 Per Hour $20.00 Daily Max $25.00 Lost Ticket One of the fun places to visit in the entire city. Definitely a must-see. If you come to Las Vegas,This place is not suitable for children .

Yelp
We had two hours before oxtail soup is served at the Cal. We parked and decided to walk the Fremont Experience. In 101 degree weather at 9 pm it wasn't the most pleasant jaunt there. Glad it took up one hour going in a couple stores like ABC which had AC. Lots of Hello Kitty and friends totes, disposable reusable bags saying both Hawái and Las Vegas. Outside 2 bands rockin it, some audience were feeling the rhythm and began dancing. Various people in pairs some in fishnet with whips, 6 pack abs shirtless guys wearing jeans and a few showgirl types decked out in old time feather headdress plus more were spaced out for photo ops. Moving color on the ceiling along with people soaring overhead on cables from one end to almost the other of the event was eye catching. I would describe it as raunchy Las Vegas, while others may say it's a fun spectacle. People of all ages were walking the crowded area like us.

Yelp
This was a fun stop, we walked around and watched a concert, and the nightly street performers. There are several bars and restaurants to choose from, there is zip lining overhead and random shows going on. The entertainment was free which was nice. The historic downtown casino's were nice to visit, everything seems modern inside. We walked around outside and saw a fire show after midnight. Everything starts to shut down around 2am here, it's a great place to visit.

Yelp
In addition to The Strip, Fremont Street likely houses the biggest cluster of tourist attractions in Vegas. I've heard a lot of different names for this place - namely "Old Las Vegas" as this seems to pre-date the Strip when it came to casinos, shops, and hotels. Anyway, since I was in Vegas for so long I didn't want to spend every night on the Strip, so after dinner one night my colleagues and I decided to check it out. While Fremont Street is an actual street in downtown Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience is a section of the street that contains shops, restaurants, casinos, and several stages where concerts are held. A noteworthy feature is a large canopy that covers the street and projects LEDs - sometimes freestyle and sometimes in unison with music being played. The street is also closed off so pedestrians are free to walk without the risk of cars (for the most part - there are areas where you need to pause for traffic). In addition to the casinos and hotels, there are several outdoor bars up and down the street, lots of gift shops, and a few chains such as Walgreens and White Castle. They also have a hang gliding attraction that spans the length of the Experience - it's common to see people zooming above you as you're walking around. It's very Times Square-esque here, more so than the Strip as it's a more concentrated space with similar vibes. Overall, as a tourist I found it worth checking out - as a local I'm not sure how I would feel. It's a great place to people watch, so for that alone it's worth visiting during your time in Vegas.

Yelp
We were in Vegas for a birthday celebration and a trip to Fremont Street is a must! We were lucky that one of our friend has gold status with MGM so valet parking was free at the Golden Nuggest. Otherwise, I think parking is tough in this area, especially on the weekend. The Fremont Street Experience was the Old Vegas. They really did a fantastic job updating it with walk-up bars. Several stages with live DJ and bands. We had a fun time dancing and enjoying the live music. The blinding bright lights gives off the Vegas vibe. Never-ending street performers finding ways to get you to open your wallets! The best part is the light show on the overhead canopy. An artist is featured every hour (I think) with their music video. We watched Katy Perry, Shakira and Miley Cyrus. You can also do ziplining too for $150 per person. It's outrageous in my opinion, but hey - it's Vegas!

Yelp
Fremont street was a vibe a party it was amazing. A lot going on you can zip line the strip which is cool it was about an hour wait so we didn't do it. But cool to see people zip lining across while walking . Plenty of food options. Got to check out the million dollar display in Binion's hotel before it's along the strip. Definitely would go back. Must check out

Yelp
This place just keeps getting better and better over the years. I like the way they keep history in tact while updating it with new and cool stuff. If you come to Vegas, seeing Fremont street is a must. The OG Vegas! You can see it all here! Definitely need to experience it at least once in a lifetime lol!

Yelp
Fremont Street was definitely a nice experience. It was my first time coming here I won about $60 on the slots which is really good. They had definitely a lot of food such as white castle, but I wasn't able to check it out, but I did take a couple pictures out there and it was nice out. There was a lot of male strippers over there. You can take a picture with and the service here was pretty good. I definitely was the first Las Vegas, where all the casinos were before Las Vegas started booming

Yelp
Fremont Street Experience is a must in LV it's a must because all the good stuff is here: iconic restaurants, live events and performances, elite food, dispensaries, unique views and artwork throughout the street, a happy ambiance with interactive people, and you will feel just like in Vegas w the vibe my favorite things on the Street Experience are the heart attack grill, with ridiculous burgers and a fun ambiance. i would recommend the Skyline, where from 12PM-5PM, it's $30. and i would also point you to the PinkBox Donuts, with over 70 varieties of donuts and sweets service is amazing in almost every corner and shop, so please stop by and enjoy Las Vegas!

Yelp
If you're visiting Vegas Fremont Street is definitely a stop. You have to make it's full of night life full of a lot of music and it's full of a lot of people amongst the local you kinda get to experience what old Vegas was all about obviously, there's been modifications to it. there's always live music, great entertainment and the vibe and energy is just always a good one. Yeah I can't say more great things about this spot, but checking them out is always worth it while visiting Vegas
google avatar

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite places! Fremont st is such a vibrant street without a lot of the busy that is Vegas. It's still hectic, but a little more chill and able to roam and drink and enjoy the Vegas vibes. The hotels are nice but not as upscale as on the strip. The casinos minimum usually is 5$-10$ so you could play the tables for a lot less money and still have a great time. The D casino and hotel is one of my favorites.

Yelp
Fremont street experience is pretty legit. It has all sorts of fun restaurants, bars, and photo opts! Let me begin by saying Vegas is for adults and people should definitely leave the kids at home. You are going to see all sorts of characters especially lots of ass and titties! I mean lots of nakedness lol! So you have been warned lol!
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
What an experience! This is a spot every tourist visiting Vegas must experience. I actually stopped by this spot two out of the four night that I was in Vegas From the street performers (giving NYC vibes) to the on stage live music in every corner, to open bars and casinos down the whole street. It's an experience. Be weary of the regulars trying to scheme you into things and the scammers trying to buy you drinks- have your purse by your side at all times. Otherwise, enjoy the music, the lights and don't forget to look up at the art show above and the people zip lining above you!
google avatar

Yelp
After all these years, Fremont Street still holds the charm of old Vegas. The video ceiling is nothing new but shields you from the weather elements and gives the street a Promenade vibe. I enjoyed the changing graphics. The zip line seems fun and maybe a good opportunity for some interesting selfies or videos. Some of Vegas' oldest casinos are here - Golden Nugget, Golden Gate, Binion's... and they still use the good old neon lights; no high tech LED walls here. This is also the place to find some old fashion slot machines- the kind that you have to pull a lever, not just push a button. Parking is cheap compared to the Strip ($5 per hour at this writing ) and very easy - right next to the entrance of the street. Food is cheaper too. Casinos have lower minimum bets too. Not as plush, but also not as "plastic" or as crowded as the Strip. Worth a visit if you're budget conscious or just want to see Vegas in a more relaxed and casual way.

Yelp
After watching the Michael Jackson's One show, I was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Check out the Fremont Street Experience and grab a steamy bowl of saimin from the California Hotel on a nippy January night. I didn't realize how far downtown is from The Strip. The area is definitely less hectic but more compact. Many of the hotel's marquees weren't lit up which made them look abandoned, the zip lines weren't running and the side streets leading to other hotels were very dead and shady. The "light show" that covers the street from above weren't mesmerizing or even memorable. We headed into the dirty, warm, smoke-filled California Hotel only to find out there was a 2-hour wait for whatever restaurant that was. OVERALL: Summoned an Uber and headed back to The Strip after 30 minutes here.

Yelp
We visited during Halloween weekend , parking is scarse to find on the street. Although there are options to park in the garage parking lot and pay a steep $$$ fee. What can i say , I prefer Freemont street with its lively atmosphere of music , entertainment on stage at different sections of the strip. we were captivated by many participants roaming around in their costumes. Like anywhere during a busy holiday weekend you are sure to wait for some time for a table to dine in. I suggest plan a head and make a reservation . Patient is key and just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Yelp
Super fun. I've only seen pictures and only imagined what is was like but after being here, it was one of best parts of Vegas. Super lively and u can do whatever. They also played my favorite edm so that was a plus

Yelp
12/18/24- Only live once...is the saying?.. Finally decided to venture out .. It is what all the social media says it is.. lol!! Busy with tourists.. young and old.. Great to see it's doing well..
google avatar

Yelp
Your experience here will vary depending on the time of day that you go. We went during the day, so it was inevitably not the same as going during the evening. However, many, many moons ago, I did go at night as a kid and remember it being a mesmerizing experience. If you haven't been and want to visit, night is your best bet when traveling with adults. With kids, your probably want to go during the day. There's not much entertainment happening during the daytime, but there are souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, casinos and other attractions happening all day long. We went to take in the sights. Parking is free and there's a decent enough amount to see. Now is Freemont a must see? Probably not, but should you go at least once? Yes.
google avatar

Mariah L.

Yelp
Fremont street was disappointing for me. It was filled with homeless people, and tons of street performers that got in your personal bubble - pretty aggressive despite signs saying they cannot force you to pay. I want to try it again sometime, but the people and the vibe was not my style. Just extremely dirty and I felt uncomfortable being there.
google avatar

Tajuana C.

Yelp
I've always loved it down here and make sure to go late on Saturday night! I'm not sure if they have free concerts during the day but at night they do have many cool cover bands playing throughout. It's always the best lighting show. Make sure to stop by the Circa casino and hotel that is super close. It's totally a vibe and if you don't like to jus chill, people watch, drink, n be out n about, this just isn't for you. They do have a super cool zip line that I did with my mama and some fam! Have fun for me!!
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
A pictorial review. The photos speak of the experience that awaits you. "What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas." A great place to "people watch", lots of street performers, live music, and a wonderful, continuous light show. There is also an overhead zip line, many casinos, shops, adult beverages, restaurants. etc, etc. You should make it there at least once, there is no other place like the Fremont St Experience anywhere else on this earth.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
I have to say, I am pretty impressed with the improvements that Las Vegas has made with keeping Fremont Street safe and clean. In the past, Fremont Street has been dirty, stinky, and just gross. But after a recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised with the improvements. Not only is there tons to do, but the people working the area are friendly as well. When we visit Vegas, we only come down to Fremont Street for a specific reason, but after the new upgrades, we might venture down more often
google avatar

Danae L.

Yelp
Majority of the tourist visit Las Vegas trip. It's a great way to take a break from the trip given that this is where Las Vegas all started. However, it's a very different scenery from the strip. Great for people watching and cheaper food, not the best for children because I feel the secondhand smoke is stronger. Better to walk around here during daylight.
google avatar

Sexy S.

Yelp
Highly recommend the Fremont street experience. Food is cheaper than in the strip. Various stages with performers. There is even a zip line above the walkway. It's pretty loud and probably not recommended for young kids.
google avatar

Jaylene C.

Yelp
Been to Vegas a number of times but never really walked around and enjoyed the Freemont experience. Since we had some out of town friends come out to Vegas for the first time, we let them take the lead and tagged along their plans. There is definitely a lot going on here from street performers, bars, shops and of course, casinos. We spent a few hours here and enjoyed some beers while watching the free concerts. One thing to note, if you plan on taking pics or want to interact with the street performers, it's going to cost you. We understand that these folks don't do this for fun but some of the prices are more than what you'd think.
google avatar

Sean W.

Yelp
Hey ya'll when in Las Vegas you gotta get to Fremont street! There is so much to see and do. You can definitely get your eat and drink on. There's live entertainment. Street performers gotta check it out ya'll

Yelp
When I was a kid, many moons ago, my parents will bring us to Las Vegas few times a year and one of our favorite place to go was downtown Las Vegas with the old school casinos and cheap food and back in the days, the casinos in downtown would literally pay you to go in their casino to play by enticing you with free or cheap food and free gifts. Those were the good Ole days!!! Well, fast forward to today, although downtown LV now is a bit sketchy and ghetto, but stay on the block of Fremont Street Experience is at. Visiting the Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas these days was an absolute blast as well! The moment I stepped into this vibrant, electrifying haven, I knew I was in for a treat. The dazzling LED canopy light show was mesmerizing, transforming the street into a kaleidoscope of colors and animations that left me in awe. The street performers were fun to watch, each bringing their "unique flair" to the bustling crowds. Sometimes there's life music/concert! The bands rocked the stage, creating an electric atmosphere that had everyone dancing and singing along. The variety of food and drink options was fantastic. I indulged in some mouthwatering street tacos and sipped on a few sips of my friend's refreshing craft beer from one of the many bars lining the streets. One of the highlights was the SlotZilla zip line. Soaring above the lively crowds and neon lights was exhilarating and gave me a unique perspective of the entire experience. It's a must-do for anyone seeking a thrill! Fremont Street Experience is a perfect blend of entertainment, excitement, and pure Las Vegas charm. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned Vegas veteran, this place will undoubtedly leave you with unforgettable memories and a smile and laughter on your face!

Yelp
Last night was really fun with live music in several different locations, we stayed by the one playing rock music. People watching was amazing but there were some sketchy people wandering around.
google avatar

Yelp
The Fremont Street Experience is a seedy and authentic Las Vegas experience. There's all kinds of people roaming the streets. You can see cool street performers and not so cool ones as well. It's a sensory overload. The street reeks like weed. Keep your wallets safe! There's lot's of unsavory types here. I witnessed some crazy things. I saw a lady street performer in a bikini pull a taser on a guy. Got that on video, but can't post it here. LOL I would have enjoyed coming here with the boys and do some drinking and gambling, but I didn't enjoy it so much with the family tbh
google avatar

Joiya A.

Yelp
Always go downtown when visiting Vegas. It's so much fun and always something crazy/exciting happening! Definitely gives you the feel of old Vegas!

Yelp
A visit to Las Vegas is not complete without going to explore the Fremont Street Experience! It's an experience that you don't easily forget. It is something you won't experience in your town. The vibe is unusual, weird, shocking, unique, fun, strange, repulsive, yet entertaining. You have to see it to believe it, more or less. I have been there many times, and it never ceases to amaze me. There is loud music played constantly to add to the atmosphere. There are street performers galore! They are required to do their "act" within a specified circle, or the police visit them. They are looking for tips. There are males and females scantily dressed and want to take a picture with you. There are live bands, people in costumes, clowns, gorillas, and various other strange outfits. No one bothered us, and we were happy about that. There are many small restaurants thruout. We ate at Project BBQ. The service was friendly and the food was good! There is no fine dining that we saw. If you like gambling, there were several casinos. While I didn't gamble this trip, I was very lucky at the Golden Nugget a couple of years ago and came out way ahead. Usually, that doesn't happen. The main reason that we left the Strip to come here is that my daughter wanted to go on the SlotZilla! I refused to go on it, but I volunteered to take pictures of her on it. She loved it! As in many large cities in the US, you also need to be aware that there are many homeless people who like to hang out here. We were not bothered by anyone here. It was fun to be back here. Maybe in a couple of years, I'll come back.

Yelp
Recently went to Las Vegas and I heard Fremont Street was a place to go to. What a fun place. There was musical performances, street performers, a beautiful light show, shopping and grub. We did some souvenir shopping, great prices btx. We walked and enjoyed some performances. We wete so hungry from all the walking. We found a Tony Roma restaurant that offered a great meal at a great price. Surf and Turf for under $20. It was good for the price. Had a couple of drinks and were on our way. Im glad We got to enjoy The Fremont Experience!
google avatar

Leanne C.

Yelp
Fun! Not really for kids. It's very crowded tonight. Drinks are good and strong. I'm not down here often but when I do come we always have a good time.
google avatar

Gennie L.

Yelp
Fremont Street is essentially a smaller version of the strip. There's, of course, casinos and a ton of souvenir shops. My favorite casino in that area is the circa resort. There's also a $50 zip line that goes down the street. I didn't get to experience it but it seemed like it was only 30-45 seconds long. The entire street is for pedestrians only. Parking can be a bit tricky so Uber/Lyft is the way to go. Overall rating: 10/10
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
Too cool was very fun and enjoyable better than walking the strip!!! I loved the band on this street

Yelp
Very interesting place. Surrounded by old hotels including The Golden Nugget & Binion's. Vendors & performers throughout. Lots of places to drink & people watch. Good food deals and live music as well.

Yelp
Located in Downtown Las Vegas, about 20 minutes by car from the Strip, the Fremont Experience is a 4 block pedestrian mall whose biggest feature is the world's largest LED video canopy: 1,375 feet long and 90 feet wide, suspended above your walking area. We needed to be in downtown LV for an 8 pm show, so decided to walk the Experience since we were about 90 minutes early. Parking was more complicated than I remember it being. Usually you can park at any of the casino's lot for free with validation (after you gamble). But this time, two of the casino lots that we've used in the past, had a sign with attendant announcing that it was special event parking for a flat fee (the special event being a typical Friday night at the Fremont Street Experience). We ended up parking in a different lot for a $15 fee. We've been here many times, but this was probably the hottest it's been for us. The smells (ganja, urine, BO) are not atypical of any busy pedestrian area in the summer night, but the oppressive heat just makes it that much worse. Trying to find relief by going into a casino, just exchanged the outdoor air for stale, smoke-filled indoor air at the casinos. My brother stopped into the LV's largest sports book to place some bets, as we walked the 4 blocks of the Experience. Not much new to see. We were hoping for a new video show on the canopy at the top of the hour (7pm), but it ended up being a music video from Katy Perry (not her new stuff but music from 10+ years ago). Didn't see a single person paying attention to it.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend Fremont Street Experience for anyone who comes to Las Vegas! First of all, Downtown Las Vegas is the historic location for some "very first" hotels, bars, etc, and they most likely located on the Fremont Street. Fremont Street Experience became more popular in the 1990s when the "canapé" was built. I liked the first version, but I definitely love the new one! The new digital lights on the canapé is amazing! Now every show is visually stunning even daytime, no need to wait for the night. I'm also a big fan of the "SlotZilla" zip lines, which are on the Fremont Street Experience. Cost $49-$69 and includes digital photos! Totally worth it! The live entertainment on the different stages are also great. They are people pleasing for sure! Some of the concerts are really fun and bring a huge crowd to Fremont Street. My recent discovery is the Atomic Liquor on the East Fremont, just outside of Fremont Street Experience. It's the oldest bar in Las Vegas! Established in 1952. Parking is easy in the parking garages and various parking lots, also lots of street parking available too!

Yelp
Several blocks of flashy lights and entertainment in downtown Las Vegas, it's worth checking out if you've never been. It looks like an indoor space cuz of the giant canopy overhead but it's actually outdoors. Stayed at the Golden Nugget this past weekend, so of course we spent some time here right outside its doors. Loved the free live music coming from multiple stages, and checked out the Viva Vision Light Show with engaging moving images and the tunes of Imagine Dragons and Stone Temple Pilots entertaining visitors while I was there. There's also no shortage of street performers throughout the day and night. We enjoyed some magic, dancing, and costumed characters... touristy, but still amusing. I think this spot is most appealing if you like live music (like I do) cuz then everything else is extra... or if you wanna go zip lining while having a couple drinks, you can do that here too.

Yelp
Too old .. or maybe I just get overwhelmed by all that is going on for this ! LOL ! I could not hang. Tons of street performers , multiple live bands and a lot of people. Lots to do and see . Casinos, restaurants and drinks . We just walked around . Not my scene though . I prefer the Linq Promenade.

Yelp
I remember coming here over 12 years ago and definitely know that this place was a must. This is at the end of the strip and it looks like there's lots more to do and see than before. The giant roof screen is like I remember with awesome music and videos to match it. There's a lot of performer working for tip and a handful of weirdos interacting as well. It's very loud so if you decide to stay at one of the hotels here know that it won't be quiet. If you plan to buy souvenirs I recommend to buys them at the stores here since they are way cheaper than the locations on the strip and are exactly the same merchandise. There's plenty restaurants and bars as well to enjoy. Definitely nothing upscale about this place but definitely fun.

Yelp
Fremont street never disappoints. From the pasties, to the chaps, and let us not forget the angry people hitting walls and cussing at the air. My children were thoroughly entertained and educated.

Yelp
Love it or Leave it?! Street performers (warning, some barely clothed), artists, vendors hawking all sorts of items, alcohol drinks flowing all around you, natural leaf type plant aromas fills the air ( I put my mask on, cough , cough), and throngs of dancing and moving people in happy celebratory moods and other moods will entertain you. Loud music pumps out to you via multiple speakers as you walk around. Somewhat deafening levels of music plays throughout the experience. Live bands play at stages in the area. Individual street performers use their own microphones and speakers to entertain you. All the while, if you look upwards, there is a visual moving display that catches your attention. Pretty cool minus the very loud accompanying sound system. Note: my ears still hurt the next day lol. Definitely an Experience, if you haven't visited here or it's been a few years, you should check it out during the day or night. Rare to see people wear any masks tonight. Temperature was in the 40's. A bit cold for me lol. I hope everyone had a great St. Patrick Day. Warning: I tried to edit any unintended pictures of scantily clad performers. Please excuse any inclusion of such pictures if I missed any.

Yelp
I've been to Vegas a few times but have never got to witness the Fremont Street Experience. It was cold outside with the temps being in the 30's in the a.m. and p.m. So the crowds in my opinion weren't to lively and there were a lot of homeless people around but there's a police station there and a few Old School Papagiorgio's watching everyone. In the warmer months I could see this place jumpin. In my opinion everyone gotta make a buck but everything is overpriced. I would recommend it though.

Yelp
Awesome light show experience overhead. This is a busy location with lots of active vendors so long as you avoid the circles they stand on. Some gigs in those circles are worth watching and others aren't as much. There are free concert stages happening in the area too. Place gets very busy and it seems on the hour, there is a special overhead light experience, that night it was a remix set of the Chainsmokers which was cool. Overall, it's a great choice for an off the strip activity in Vegas.

Yelp
One of the primary attractions in downtown LV. The canopy over Fremont street originally had a show only on the hour as I recall but it now has the light theme with music playing throughout the day and night. They have also added ziplines where you can experience flying high over the pedestrian walkway. There are many shops next to the major hotels and it is a fun experience to walk the entire length.

Yelp
The experience is pretty bomb. Lots of lights, sounds, gambling, people watching, street performers, food, drink, and gambling at your finger tips. I personally like the zip line. So the high one which goes farther and you get to fly like Superman.
