French Café Hotel

Hotel has a great location. That’s all. Just do not expect any service. The reception is deserted for most of the day. When we called on the phone to report the total failure of the airconditioning (twice), no action was taken and nobody replied for two days. The problem did not get solved, resulting in 30 Celsius in the room. A text message got answered after 2 days only.

Terrible experience. Hotel had loud construction work going on -which was not informed when we booked-and the noise started as early as 6h30. It was so early we had trouble finding someone to complain about it. No customer care, zero Comfort. On top of that, some things in the room were not working. Definetely would not recommend.

Worst hotel of our European holiday... The room was extremely hot when we arrived. Staff said he would have it fixed but 5 hours later it was still over 80 degrees F. The second staff opened another man's room and offered to move him out so we could switch rooms. What?! They told us to open the windows because their air-conditioned did work. Noise was persistent throughout the night and early morning. There was no sound-proofing or insulation at all. The bedroom door wasn't sealed and bright light shown through. If you need to sleep, don't stay here!

Nice place, food was good, wine awesome and incredible service by Mahir (great guy, ask for him)! I enjoyed the mussels. Honestly, we walked around and came back for this place 2 times 🤙 #fairprice

Superbly located hotel with restaurants, shops, sights, and transport hub all around. Excellent breakfast offerings included fresh fruits in a spacious dining room. Bedroom was large with a sitting area. The shower cubicle in the bathroom was tiny. Entrance to the hotel was through a restaurant. I reserved the room through HotelSlash.com. Although the reservation was fine, details about my contact information that the hotel had were all incorrect, perplexing both the manager and me. |I highly recommend this hotel - it is also extremely easy to get to from the main railway or bus station by tram and to the airport by bus. As we know public transport in Luxembourg is free and also of very high quality. The hotel is in a pedestrian only zone - no motor vehicles!

The room was a good size. Also has a large bathroom. However, the shower, which is located in the bathtub, took a very long time for the water to get hot (5 minutes). Also, the bottom of the bathtub is very slippery and could be a problem. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Luxembourg. With plenty of shops and places to eat nearby.

Location was perfect for a short city break, easily accessed via (free) excellent public transport from the airport. Plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops within walking distance. Main tourist sites in the City were also very close. Bedroom basic but comfortable and very clean. Points deducted solely for bathroom: shower was very small - ok for petite people only. Buffet breakfast was a real bonus, with a good choice of food and drink. Overall the hotel offered good value for money on an expensive location.
