I’ve stayed at this Haveli a few times now, and honestly, it just keeps getting worse. The place is never properly cleaned — the Haveli itself is full of dust, even the stairs. My room was only cleaned once a week (despite me requesting daily cleaning), and the bedsheets are almost always torn or stained. The towels are so pale and coarse that I genuinely wonder what standards they follow here.
Once, they even cooked lentils for my dinner using tap water — completely unhygienic. The water bottles in the room are dusty, and there are random villagers who come and stay here, playing loud music and cricket commentary on speakers late into the night. The rooms are interconnected, and my door has been opened twice in the middle of the night because there’s no proper lock — extremely unsafe.
The caretaker, Bansi bhaiya, is rude and dismissive. When I politely asked him to clean, he rolled his eyes and told me that only I have complaints, not other guests. My sister’s bracelet was once stolen and later returned, and I was absurdly accused of using five bedsheets — who even makes that up? I was also judged for calling a masseuse, which as a woman, was extremely disrespectful and intrusive.
The hygiene is so poor that I’ve stopped eating breakfast there and get mine from Green House instead. Honestly, Deepali — you’re the worst host I’ve ever come across. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
