French Leave Resort, Autograph Collection

My experience at the French Leave Resort started off promising but ended very poorly. While the setting is beautiful and first impressions were positive, the dining experience was extremely disappointing. I did not stay at the resort, but I dined at the restaurant and would not recommend it. The food was subpar and, frankly, not close to justifying the prices, which were embarrassingly expensive for the quality offered. Expectations are naturally high at this price point, and unfortunately they were not met. To make matters worse, the manager’s response to concerns was unhelpful and added to the overall negative experience. Hospitality and accountability were lacking. Based on my experience, I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

French Leave Resort is absolutely spectacular. The property is stunning and meticulously maintained—every corner feels like paradise. The staff? Simply amazing. Every single person we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. The beach deserves its own shoutout: WOW WOW WOW. The golf cart rides down to the crystal-clear water were a highlight, and the water coolers for keeping our drinks cold were such a thoughtful touch. Most importantly, as kosher travelers, we were incredibly touched by how accommodating the staff was—especially the kitchen team. They went above and beyond to understand our needs and assist in every possible way. It made all the difference and turned a beautiful vacation into an unforgettable one. Can’t wait to return!

We had a lovely meal here-pizza was great and our server Keith was so helpful and well informed about the island. Great spot!

The location is incredible, with views of the Caribbean and a short golf cart ride (in your personal golf cart) to the pink sand beaches on the Atlantic side. ||The food is good, and many meals are exceptional.||Service sets the resort apart from any other we’ve been to. ||Krissy and Corell were amazing both at checking us in and attending to any need that arose while we were there. They went above and beyond to ensure we had anything we needed.||The bartenders and servers, especially Nicole and Shantae, provided service beyond our expectations - amazing cocktails and wonderful conversation.||The manager Rudy personally managed our private dinner on the dock (which we highly recommend!) and it was a highlight of our trip.||Highly recommend if you’re looking for a very quiet vacation with exceptional service and pristine beaches.

Absolutely Devine. We enjoyed our stay here tremendously. ||Breathtaking waterfront view that just kept on giving. Infinity pool. Golf cart came complimentary with our room. Perfect for frequent excursions to the coveted French Leave Beach and Twin Coves. ||Great workout facility and beautiful dining accommodations. Every seat able to take in that unbelievable view. Expansive bar menu with highly capable bar tenders… and their iconic Welcome drink is absolutely TDF. Bonus -they had live music during our stay, a very talented singer and band. ||For activities they also offer complimentary paddle boards and kayaks. They allow fishing off the docks, my husband caught a few varieties of grouper. ||Our cottage was expansive, everything we could possibly want and more. ||I cannot speak highly enough about the staff- every single person from the manager to the landscaping crew. Nicest, friendliest people- we enjoyed interacting with everyone.||We are definitely interested in coming back again.

We have just left after a 6-night stay in an ocean front view villa. The staff were incredible and very accommodating. I was bitten by the no seems us snd the team provided with cream/ointment to help me. The private beach is fantastic, quiet and secluded. Often we had the beach for ourselves. The gym was ok for a Bahamian gym and the restaurant 1648 was good. A special Shout out to Kelly and Keith at the restaurant. We did lots of paddle boarding and snorkelling. Each villa had their own baggie/cart to move around. The only negative would be the condition of the beach furniture as it was not to the standard you would expect of such a hotel. They could have a shack by the beach providing drinks to their costumers and would be an added service to such a great resort. We would gladly go back

I wanted to go back and write this review. My husband is lifetime titanium and they gave us an upgrade so we had two connecting rooms and a pool that was private for us. The resort provides a golf cart so you can drive to the French leave beach across the road. Be aware the road is ill maintained and full of bumps. The beach is lovely and the resort staff will bring you chairs and towels in the evening you may be the only person on that beach which is true luxury. We found the food at the resort mediocre but service was great. In general the food at the island establishments we tried was average. Eleuthera is not commercialized so don’t expect lots of shopping areas which is actually what makes it so alluring. Also remember this resort is an hour drive from the airport so a rental car is a must.

A wonderful trip to Eleuthera with breathtaking views from our room, the pool and restaurant. The golf cart rides to the secluded beach were a hit with us. We enjoyed all of our meals at the restaurant, especially the lobster appetizer and catch of the day. We received a warm welcoming and attentive service throughout our stay.
