French Made Toronto

French Made is worth a stop — the croissants are buttery, flaky, and clearly made with care. It’s a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but the quality shows. I’d recommend trying one of their breakfast sandwiches; they’re a solid pick.

This is a nice little bakery and coffee shop at ground floor of the Bisha Hotel on Blue Jays Way. There is outdoor seating, opening hours are 7am to 6pm daily. Passed by recently for a Pistachio Lemon mini cake and espresso macchiato, both of which were very good. Pistachio and Lemon, moist with delicious flavour. Macchiato, solid espresso with enough milk to cut the edge and foam to add texture. Service friendly and timely, prices just fine. Would gladly return to French Made based on this experience.

I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to because.. Just picked up breakfast burritos, croissant ,sandwiches, coffee and latte. They all tasted so good that my kids wanted to get more! Also there was a dog treat jar for customer with dogs. Highly recommended

Simply wonderful. The pastries were fresh and warm. I tried the croissant, pain au chocolat, financier and almond strawberry pastry. I loved them all. The coffee is really good. Stop by as it is a wonderful way to start the day.

This Cafe is located inside the hotel bisha. There's an amazing variety of pastries that are fresh made everyday, as well as coffee from de mello. The barista was very friendly and greeted us warmly. We got a latte and iced Americano, as well as their butter croissants. The croissants were laminated perfectly and the inside was airy and well distributed. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of seating inside, but you can either go out to the patio or sit inside the hotel lobby which is attached to the cafe.

I always visit here if I desire to have desserts. I love their pastries especially the chocolate croissant. The croissant dough is buttery and a little bit salty so it was a excellent balance such as eating salted semi-sweet chocolate bars. Scones is decadent. Choclolate cookie, and macarons are nice! I personally recomend their quiche if you look for savory! It's a big and very tasty! It's a excellent size for lunch. I love the cheese cake, but Gluten free macaron ( It looks a cookie ) was not for me. Unfortunately their drinks aren't always perfect so that makes me it's pricey even though usual cost. There are a little eat-in spaces inside.

Perhaps I’m not the best person to judge, but I was initially drawn in by the exterior. That said, the beverage was definitely on the pricier side. The space itself is quite small and dim, which isn’t really the kind of vibe I enjoy. My friend had a latte and said it was just okay.

An adorable French cafe offering everything from your typical latte to extravagant pastries. It sits back from the sidewalk a little bit, but you can't miss the vibrant cobalt blue exterior. This cafe is small and while I was there it was definitely a tight squeeze. Where you order and where you pick up your drink isn't designed to allow for a good flow for customers, aside from that, I have no complaints. I ordered a latte and grabbed two goodies for the road, a raspberry croissant and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff working were welcoming and friendly and my items were ready rather quickly. Once I got back to my hotel, I settled in to enjoy and get some work done. My latte was smooth and creamy and just what I needed to get my day started. My raspberry croissant was beautiful and packed full of flavor. The filling wasn't too sweet and there was just the right amount inside. I saved my cookie for a snack while I traveled home later that day. I love how it had chunks of sugared ginger on top. The cookie had the perfect amount ​of chew to it and the ginger on top added an extra burst of ginger. It was lovely. I'm so glad I found this cafe on Yelp and I highly suggest you pay them a visit. I'm still dreaming of all the pastries I didn't get to try.

Good coffee, sweet pastries. The raspberry croissant is the thing to get at FM. If you love sugar, carbs and want to indulge an industrial strength sweet tooth FM has got you covered.

I absolutely love their coffee and pastries! They actually serve D'Mello coffee and I absolutely love it! Their pastries are really good as well. A bit on the pricier side but it makes sense because it's in Bisha.

Cute shop! Great service. My banana bread was a little dry but the blueberry was delicious. The yogurt parfait - fruit was fresh and very fulfilling. More than enough to share.

Decided to get a drink nearby as I was in the area. Stumbled upon this cafe that had really promising reviews! I decided to get my go-to which is the matcha latte. Matcha Latte: It was alright, had better matcha at other cafes. I modified afterwards to add some honey and brown sugar as it was a bit bitter even with modifications it was alright. I feel like for the quality and price point it wasn't that special. There were some seating indoors but it is quite limited. Most of their seating is outdoors. There were some pastries but didn't try them. Maybe I got the wrong drink that they don't specialize in and ended up being a meh experience to me.

Perfect cappuccino with oat milk and blueberry scone was perfect. Airy, fresh and not too sweet. We also ordered the chocolate banana bread. Was chewy, so I recommend not getting that. Cute vibe and downstairs from the street so easy to miss. Inside a hotel so open for longer hours.

A little hard to see from outside but also in plain site - look for the heart on the awning. The blueberry scone was delicious and service quick! They have a couple of seats inside and plenty outside.

Really enjoyed this spot as I was staying at Bisha Hotel, to which it is attached. Service was fast and it was easy to pick up a coffee and pastry. They have a beautiful small selection of sweets and viennoiserie and baked goods. All looked delightful. Coming from the US, my expectations for a croissant were high-that is, it's hard to find a good croissant in USA. Their croissant was fantastic-light, airy, crispy, buttery. It did not disappoint. Cappucino was also just right. The little pod they have out on the street to sit in and be sheltered a bit from the cold and construction going on is really nice. They even had blankets in there if you wanted to cozy up. Great spot for a quick bite.

While in Toronto, we stayed at the Le Germain Hotel on Mercer St. and this coffee shop was literally down the block. It took less than 5 minutes walking to get to it. They have a ton of coffee choices, we chose the Americano, it reminded us when we were in Europe in 2019. You can't go wrong with this coffee shop. They also have great looking pastries.

Deeeelicious! We were staying at the Bisha Hotel next door and they suggested we pop in. Wish we would have done so before my last day in town because the croissant & chai latte were divine. Let's not even get started on the spectacular selection of pastries & baked goods assembled in the vitrine where you wait in line... I was SO tempted to order 1 of everything. Really! Think Raspberry Croissants, Toasted Coconut & Date Coffee Cake, Cheese + Herb Scones, Strawberry Danish... I was drooling! Can't wait to come back & give in to my deepest, darkest patisserie desires!

Great design coffee shop. I like the simple sign of the shop. The patio outside is cozy just dont mind the Toronto construction cause that big time. This is a busy street so, it's somewhat " loud " For a coffee shop, their sounds are more party than cozy. But I guess that's the music of their target consumer. cafe americano is decent, it's okay. I have a better experience than what I have read in the thread. Cappuccino- the same, it's good too. Like anyone who brew their own coffee and have numerous machine at home, this is quite decent. The service is - just like every coffee shop. Normal

Popped in here with a friend after we had brunch at a nearby spot. The signage is small so it's easy to miss, but you won't regret it once you open the doors to this cute spot. It's on the ground floor of the Bisha hotel. First up - it's a small space, hardly any room for in cafe seats, but we luckily managed to grab a spot. They have many options for pastries- everything from cheesecake to scones, even some sandwiches and salads. Obviously given the name you can expect the Parisian flair cafe experience (not sure if they have some patio seating in the summer) , and their coffees are De Melo blends, some custom. Great service and honestly...all the pastries looked delectable!

Good option for coffee and pastries for those on the go. I ordered the latter but do not feel like there was as much depth of flavor in the coffee as a few other places that I've tried in Toronto. The pastries were good, flaky and fluffy so I would come back for these again. Coffee- 3/5 Pastries- 4/5 Overall- 3.5/5 so I rounded up to 4/5

French Made is a super cute coffee shop. I was meeting a friend at an adjacent hotel and had a few extra minutes. I stopped in for a quick vanilla chai and enjoyed it outside on their patio. French Made is snug but seems to have a really great location amongst a bustling location. I'm not from the area but could tell immediately their real estate on Blue Jays Way is probably precious to them. They technically also identify as part of the Bisha Hotel. French Made also served delicious looking croissants, pastries and other treats. If I were staying at the Bisha or in this neighborhood, I definitely could have visited here more than once. I liked the atmosphere, the deep royal blue color palette of their vibe, and how oddly relaxing it was sitting on their patio amongst a busy stretch of town. Very cool!

Great little gem hidden off the beaten path! Came here for a quick breakfast and really enjoyed it! The breakfast sandwich was delicious, a little spicy which I loved! The bread was super fresh and definitely get it toasted! My party enjoyed their blueberry scone, almond croissant, yogurt parfait and chia seed pudding. I got a chai latte which was delicious! The service is stellar too. Super sweet! And I love the vibe, totally felt like I was in France! Would definitely come back!

Stopped here for coffee one morning, coffee was good. Pastry was good but not as good as other pastry I've had the other day.

3.5 Not a bad spot for coffee at all. The street is a bit noisy though which doesn't make the patio vibe as nice. It's a cute shop but not much space inside for the line or to sit down. It's also a bit on the pricier side. The desserts didn't really appeal to me that much so I decided to pass. They have some croissants, macarons, cakes etc. Coffee itself was quite good, I believe De Mello coffee beans used. A bit too far off the subway lines for me to walk so would only venture in again if I was in the area.

Very tasty almond croissant. Cappuccino had great depth of flavor. More of a to go place, limited counter space to eat in but they do have outside tables when warm enough.

If you're going to buy one worthy pastry in this place - pick the almond croissant. I'm always on the lookout for the best almond croissant amongst the plethora of bakeries in Toronto. I have tried and eaten a lot of them so I can confidently recommend French Made's almond croissant. Although it doesn't have enough sliced almonds on top, it has a good balance of sweetness, nuttiness, flakiness and buttery goodness in every bite. Almond-wise, the croissant was laced with almond cream filling or frangipane which will send an almond-gasm in every bite. It's expensive compared to the average almond croissant in Toronto, but totally worth it. Be forewarned that there's a slim chance of snagging this scrumptious pastry if you go after 9 am. They sell fast and they make only limited quantity, so it's better to go early if you want to get one. Tried their other pastries as well but just so so: Pain Au Chocolat - very crumbly and not a great amount of chocolate inside. Pistachio Lemon Loaf - very disappointed in this as I love pistachio. Cake is dry and not lemony enough. Hazelnut Paris Brest - Choux pastry is soggy and not crispy. Hazelnut praline creme/custard inside tasted bland and not buttery enough. For almost $8, I wouldn't buy this again. Coffee and other drinks is also nothing to swoon about, almost everything here is overpriced. If not for the almond croissant, I wouldn't even have a reason to visit this place again.

Great spot for pastries! I came here several times on a recent weekend trip to Toronto. I love their variety of loafs and especially liked the pecan coffee cake and spiced carrot loaf. The seating inside is pretty limited, just a couple of counter seats and a table.

I ordered the pain au chocolat, and it was so delicious. It tasted really fresh, and the inside of the pastry was soft and buttery. I also ordered an iced latte which was just okay, but I would recommend to visit this place for their pastries.

Cute little cafe tucked under a hotel. Very very hard to find but worth going vs going to Starbucks. Had a croissant and a cappuccino. Very tasty croissant and the cappuccino was good too. Took one star off as I wasn't too pleased to see flies in the food display case and they were all over the food for quite a while. The staff were friendly but barely acknowledged us when we got there and we were confused by the setup of the counter. We were basically standing on the wrong side of the counter for a good 5 minutes before we realized we had to go around to order. In the meantime they just stared at us without letting us know we were at the wrong side. Nevertheless, the croissant was still delicious

Always a hit! I've been here a few items and always had good experience with the service, coffee and bakery items. I've tried Americano a few items, it has consistent flavour and made perfectly! The bakery items are mostly gourmet and priced on higher side. The indoor seating is limited, but they have a nice patio during the summer.

My friend and I wanted to go to a cafe that was close to the Union station and open til late, so that we can drink coffee and catch up. We found this place on Google search and we had a great time! We were happy that it was open til 8 p.m., as our work ends around 5 p.m. The name of the place was not very visible, so we missed it a few times. Finally, we found it and went inside. A young man and a young lady greeted us when we entered. There were lots of yummy pastry goods and a good variety of cold and hot drinks available. We were not sure which pastry to order, so we asked for the young lady's help to narrow down our choices. I got a pistachio lemon loaf (it was about the size of two stacked Mars bars, $4.50) and a small chai latte. My friend ordered the same pastry and a small tea. We enjoyed the loaf- it was lightly sweet, a hint of lemon and pistachio mixed with the softness of the loaf was lovely. We also enjoyed our drink, we wished that the size was larger. We ordered small drinks, but the amount that we got looked extra small. Considering that we paid over $4 for each drink, we were expecting more. As other Yelpers mentioned, the price is steep- the pastry items start at $3.50 and drinks start at $3.75. If you're going to order a drink, go for a larger size as the size you'll get will be smaller than what you expect. The patio is set up right outside, so we enjoyed our food and drink. Although we were in Toronto, we felt like we were far away for a few minutes! Check this place out the next time you're looking for a good place to sit, eat, and chat or relax.

Delicious!!! We loved all the croissants, raspberry, plain and the ham and cheese. Cappuccino was delicious. Our favorite may have been the lemon tart.

I love this spot for a quick and easy breakfast. Their croissants and other pastries are great, and their coffee is good too plus they have a nice assortment of juices. My go to is their salmon sandwich, for a light healthy breakfast.

Gotta try their coconut lavender matcha latte!!!!! It has direct access to Bisha hotel, and in the morning, you get the additional seating at the bar. Or you can go back to your room to enjoy the breakfast. The seating inside the cafe is very limited, maybe max of 4 seats.

Great spot to stop for a coffee, pastry or snack, nice ambience, with plenty of outdoor seating. Customer Service could've been a wee bit better. They just seemed a little distracted. Food was good, but a little on the pricey side.

I found twice nice coffee shop during my business trip. Not only they serve great coffee, they have good selection of the tea also. Pastries look good.

This little unassuming coffee shop in Toronto was one of my first stops before even reaching my hotel room and it was adorable. There was a great selection of both coffee and tea. And in addition there were some food choices that were either healthy or decadent so you honestly couldn't go wrong. Something for everyone and not overpriced. I ended up frequenting the shop every other morning on my stay as it was conveniently just outside the Bisha hotel. I think what made this place a highlight of my trip was honestly the people. They were friendly and welcoming every visit. I'd love to come back.

Just what we needed after a long jet fight! I had the ham and cheese croissant and a flat white. Both were great.

I'm here quite often when I get a craving for a croissant but don't want to make the trek to a bakery. Their americanos are consistently good, but their pastries are a bit of a hit or miss. Sometimes the croissants are a bit stale but when they're good, they're good. Their chocolate chip cookies are quite good too. Thick, chewy and chocolate-ly, they could be a full meal for those with light appetites.

Unimpressive cappuccino, unimpressive service. I didn't have anything to eat but I have to say that the desserts look good, they were out of some of the cookies (including the chocolate chunks one I would have tried), I think there are better coffee offerings in the area.

HUGH DISAPPOINTMENT BEWARE , every dish there from sushi roll , appetizers are spicy and EXTREMELY salty! Has cocktail , those are good. We ordered 10 different dishes and honestly only thing not having a salty kick are desserts! GO there if you have a thing for salty and spicy food. Customer service are horrible as well, we had to pour our own water , we told them the food is too salty and the waitress say you may have put too much soy sauce on it ( when we didn't even put anything) The only thing good is the food presentation and dessert

I live in the building since 2017 and the cafe produces we're never good every single time I went. No joke. Everything look good but yet everything taste burnt. From a croissant to a mousse like this one. You can literally taste the burnt caramel and it's awful. It's like if they don't even bother tasting it before giving this to the customers. I am french myself and I do not consider this place a French bakery. To the garbage again.

Very well made drinks, delicious and luxurious desserts as well as food! Their chocolate chip cookie is huge and so delicious, really enjoyed it coupled with their chai latte! The patio, when open, is also covered and a great size to meet up with anyone! Highly recommend this coffee shop :)

I was looking for a quick lunch option during TIFF, and Ritual pointed me to French Made, which was offering a few bucks off several of their offerings. I decided to go with the Smoked Turkey Sandwich ("Turkey, tomatoes, shaved red onions, Dijon mustard, black peppers mayo & Havarti cheese in ciabatta") and the food was ready just as I walked in about 10 minutes later. It's a really good sandwich. All the components work really well together, and the various flavors complement one another perfectly. My only complaint would be that the bread was just a little too crusty, as the roof of my mouth was hurting pretty much for the rest of the day. I did notice that they had some tasty-looking cookies when I was in there, so I'll definitely be returning to sample some of those.

Hello Yelpers, Strolling towards CN Tower and I saw this cute logo of a heart with and arrow through it. I quickly peeled and saw "French Made." Intrigued by the name and logo, I went it. End of the day.l dessert before heading home I got myself a lovely Almond Tarte. It was perfectly balanced in sweetness and tarte. Yummy goodness! I failed to ask them about the ingredients. I did notice since it was end of the day... the worker wrapping up the treats. So I wonder... how long has my dessert been sitting in the display case? I don't want to eat a 3 day old treat. Anyways... that's all I have to say. Thank you French Made for a yummy treat.

Trendy interior right next to the flashy bisha hotel, the interior is cool with lots of mirrors with electric blue and hand written menu. Went to get breakfast one day, hoping to get one of those pistachio croissants I see on photos on yelp. But sadly THEY DONT HAVE THEM THERE ANYMORE! So I settled for an almond croissant, I believe they said they sourced their croissants from another bakery on king west. So I don't think anything is made in-house. Their beverages selection is good. I just like how its in a convenient location in the heart of downtown. There is only maybe 5 bar seating inside, but a small patio outside for the summer.

Nice little pastry/coffee shop with a few seats. We have tried 4 different pastries and it was delicious. I think the pastries are made fresh daily at least that's what I tasted. It was a nice change to all the chain coffee shops in the city that serve pretty much the same shit. Definitely going back.

Popped in here late in the day and got a couple of treats to go. The service was friendly and fast. I tried the blondie, thin and soft with nice white chucks of chocolate. The brownie had the same texture as the blondie but with a rich dark flavor. But the chocolate chuck cookie hit the spot. Big, soft chocolate chunky yumminess. I liked it so much I went back the next day and had another one.

One of my favourite coffee shops in the area. The moment you walk in, you will get attracted to their pastries and sandwiches, which are right in front of you and nicely displayed. I tried the raspberry croissant and absolutely loved it. It's soft and filled with raspberry "jams", goes really well with a coffee or a latte or whatever floats your boat. As for the drinks, I tried the drip coffee and flat white. Both are very delicious and satisfying.

Overall, pretty good. Prices are a bit high here but that's to be expected given the location. I can say the drinks and food items we had here were mostly excellent. One area for improvement could be the espresso. It wasn't horrible but a bit more bitter than I prefer.
