Our first visit to Paris and couldn't have chosen a better spot to stay than French Theory - for location, price, and friendly staff. Traveling with our young adult sons made two rooms makes the most sense. I chose French Theory because of it's location, but also because it made the most economical sense for the location. We didn't go wrong. The friendly staff and the good coffee made it the right choice. It would be nice to have extra pillows. The space was small, there was really no room for two suitcases other than the floor. The bathroom was optimized for the space and the water pressure was perfect. We enjoyed our stay. Maurizio was wonderful to work with and I will definitely recommend FT to others especially traveling as a family. The location to central Paris and RER B and C made it perfect.

These hotel rooms are small by American standards and I was still initially shocked by how “cozy” it was. This doesn’t detract from my review, because it was more than enough space. The staff here were extremely helpful and responsive. The shower always had hot water on demand and the air conditioner worked fabulously. Hotel staff changed out my sheets every day. ||Best of all was how centrally located this hotel was to everything! The Jardin Du Luxembourg, Notre Dame and so many wonderful places to eat and shop within very easy walking distance. ||I loved the artsy vibe of this hotel and I never had an issue with the wifi. I stayed at another hotel with more stars and still thought French Theory was an overall nicer stay. This will be my go-to hotel when i return to France.

Firstly, the staff were really friendly and helpful. ||The hotel is three stops on the RER from Gare du Nord, Luxembourg is the closest station less than 10 minute walk. ||The beds were really comfortably, the room spotlessly clean & the air con worked well. The rooms are on the smaller side but that’s standard for most large cities. ||The bathroom was of average size, plenty of towels & hot water in the shower. ||The room was really quiet, the road is closed off to traffic which was a bonus. ||We didn’t have breakfast as plenty of options locally but the coffee shop downstairs was fine for a drink. ||We would consider staying here again for sure.

The location was the most important factor. It’s a small 3 star but modern inside. The rooms are tight for space though as most hotels are especially in the heart of the city. Very near the Sorbonne and Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and the rest of the must see places too. No safe in the room. Their breakfasts are amazing. We stayed for a week and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else to have breakfast.

I had a meeting near by, needed a place to stay for the night. My editor recommended me this place. I love the overall vibes! Art, music, books, design… nice little boutique… recording studio! Had a great chat about music and art with Mauricio at the reception. I appreciated the free room upgrade and the omelette was delicious!

Good hotel, friendly staff. Great location. Overall, it's really good for the price. It's not fancy but gives u what u need to see Paris for a reasonable price. Room and bathroom small but it is to be expected I Paris. We had the quad room with bunk beds as we were traveling with our teenage kids. Was a little crowded but no regrets. Great little coffee shop as part of the hotel.

You feel the creative and friendly vibes here, even before you enter the building. When inside, you cannot help but feel inspired. There’s an abundance of great, quirky, thought-through details. Art, music, and joie-de-vivre is everywhere. The coffee here measures with the best barista coffees in Paris. The sandwiches are great, and the personnel is in a league of its own: Wekcoming, approachable, helpful, and always willing to share tips for hidden gems in the neighbourhood (of which there are many - like Église Saint-Etienne du Mont or Rue Mouffetard). Highly recommended and most definitely my new go-to-place in Paris; for staying, for coffee, or for recording an album (if I’ll ever need that!) Merci bien pour un séjour extraordinaire!

This is about the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Seriously. Let me start with the bathroom. Terrible. The lighting is like an interrogation room in a police department. Two spotlights overhead searing your head with 80 watts each of blinding light and heat, brighter than the sun. Then there’s the tub that you have to scale over like a wall to get into the shower. Then there’s the half-shower glass that lets half of the water from your shower onto the floor. When they only give you two towels total to dry off, there’s no more to soak up the 5 gallons of water remaining on the floor. No one over 21 should attempt to enter/exit the shower without risking potential harm. The bed is fine. The decor is weird. Maybe for hipsters it’s okay, but not for normal people. There’s a book of unclothed women by my bed for those nights that my wife is not in the mood. +1 there. Avoid this place at all cost.
