Nice gluten free options! Probably the best gluten free bun I’ve ever had, it didn’t crumble and it held up really nicely even after leftovers were in fridge for some time. They had lots of different sandwich or burger options you could make gf by getting the gf bread option which was super nice. I also got the potato wedges which were good as well because the regular french fries do contain wheat

Nice cozy place. We were there on mother’s day so they had mother’s day special menu. The food was good. We don’t eat the meat but we found Bacon in our Homestyle fries which set us off a little. But their manager was really nice and he talked about it and took care of us. Looking forward to going back.

Google
This was easily the best cheeseburger I’ve ever had. We came on the weekend and although it was rather busy, we put our name down and got a call within 10 minutes. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Just a heads up, breakfast stops being served by 11:45am on the weekends.

This time we tried Chickpea Burger (5/5) - must try Grain Bowl (4/5) - must try health option Crispy Chicken Sandwich (4/5) Yucca Fries (4/5) Soup of the day - Tomato Cream (3/5) Hazelnut Chocolate Pastry (4/5) - more on the sweet side Portobello Sandwich (4/5) Cranberry Turkey Panini (3/5) We have been to this place couple of times for breakfast and lunch. This place never disappoints - The food and service both are great. - They do recommend as well if asked. - Average waiting for a table is 20mins

Came in for lunch around 1 on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all. Staff was friendly but service was slow for some reason. We sat around for awhile before our order was taken. Ordered the Southwest chicken panini and a side of french fries. Food also came out a bit slow. The chicken sandwich was cooked nicely. The texture of the bread and chicken was great. The flavor overall was quite bland which surprised me since the ingredients contained Chipotle mayo. Not even a slight kick from that. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. Not the best I've had but pretty good. They were nice enough to split the sandwich onto two plates for us. Something burned in the kitchen while we were there so the whole place reeked of smoke for a good while.

I had the chicken and waffles while my wife had the Arizona omelette and both were so amazing. The quality of the food and service were outstanding! One of my favorite spots in the local area for sure :) Support this business if you’re in the area!

Google
Best Breakfast Stop – Frenchtown Cafe Delivers! Stopped at Frenchtown Cafe while heading to an event in Doylestown, PA, and wow, what a gem! This cozy spot on Bridge Street feels like home as soon as you walk in. I got lucky with their Saturday special – Portuguese steak and eggs. I went for it, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. Perfectly cooked steak, crispy garlic home fries, and poached eggs topped with a rich mushroom sauce. The whole plate was a flavor bomb. Honestly, I haven’t had a breakfast like this in Jersey before. If you’re around, you need to swing by. This is one spot I’ll keep coming back to whenever I’m nearby. Check the pics and see for yourself – it's a breakfast that sets the bar high.

I was grateful to be helped by two wonderful ladies upon my visit. I have to say the food was delicious. I had the avocado burger and the turkey panini sandwich. The lemonade was all right. Plus the cheesecake and chocolate cake were delicious too. I would recommend everyone to come and stop by to eat at this location.

Yelp
This is a nice local friendly place. The menu choices are very appealing. The quality of ingredients is excellent and everything we ordered was served promptly. It's a cute little space decorated to reflect the quaintness of the surrounding area. The service was excellent and value was very good.

Yelp
Charming little café right on the main road--though be warned, it's not exactly quiet thanks to a constant parade of motorcycles. Bonus: it's BYOB, which is always a win. That said, we were served our drinks in paper cups because they were short on clean glasses--quirky, but forgivable. We chose to sit outside since it was such a gorgeous day, but the experience was a bit dampened by the swarm of gnats. They were relentless, even dive-bombing into our food and drinks, which was... less than ideal. Now, the real hero of the day: the food. My salmon? Spot-on--perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and gone way too fast. And the curry vinaigrette? Never had it, didn't know what to expect, but wow. Totally unexpected combo, and somehow it just worked. I wasn't planning to lick the plate, but let's just say it crossed my mind. Overall, it's a cute spot nestled in a charming little town with some nice shops--great for a day trip, especially if you're feeling patient and in the mood for a little character with your meal.

Yelp
Wonderful vibes! There is lovely shaded outdoor seating area and the service is great. The food was delicious and they have a nice selection for vegetarians

Yelp
I had the cafe benedict- the fried green tomato with lime guacamole was sooo delicious. i loved every bite. the place is a bit smaller so we went in with a group of 5 and one of us sat in a chair on the side and it was a bit squishy. but i would come back again. my brother got the breakfast sandwich and i got a little bite- it was amazing!

Yelp
World's best breakfast, right here in Frenchtown. The multi grain toast is worth the visit by itself. The eggs are always perfect.

Cassandra N.

Yelp
We were driving through this adorable town and stopped into this cafe The ambiance was adorable, a typical small town charm spot The service was magnificent, we sat with Donna who was so friendly and helpful . She suggested a few plates and when we told her we were from out of town and were going hiking she grabbed another local who worked there that she knows hikes to tell us about some other spots to visit , we were really happy with the service here . The food .. I can't brag enough about how good it all was. My husband got the Patagonia tostadas , there were great, I ordered the rancheros which were spectacular, the flavor was just perfect. and then we split the Nutella French toast.. I'm not a French toast person and I was fighting my husband for the last piece ... yes, that good lol ! This spot is also a dog friendly spot, we were sat with no issues and they brought him water without having to even ask . I hope to be back !!

Yelp
The Frenchtown cafe is a great place to stop if you are enjoying a day walking around the artsy town shopping, swimming, fishing , or tubing the Delaware, or taking a scenic ride along river road. We were seated quickly even on a busy day. The cafe is cute inside and has a great porch for outdoor seating. Our waitress , Raquelle, was fantastic! We tried a bunch of brunch foods but I only got pictures of 2!!! We were all so excited to dig in! Everyone was happy with their flavored iced coffees too! They have some nice, unusual things on their menu, including sweet potato home fries.

Yelp
Small quaint cafe. It's the sister restaurant to one of our favorite breakfast places (Sky Cafe). Very busy on the weekends and holidays so make sure you join the waitlist rather than just standing in line. Service was efficient but a little brusque, not exactly friendly but then they were very busy. Most importantly the food: above average but not as good as the sister restaurant. Omelette ok but was missing the mushrooms requested, it was burned on the edges and was a bit greasy. French toast was above average but nothing special and the strawberries were starting to go brown. On top of everything else the toilet was broken. Maybe it was a bad day here but we'll stick to the Sky Cafe in future.

Rachael G.

Yelp
Great food and prompt service!!! Highly recommend Frenchtown Cafe for breakfast or lunch.

Kira B.

Yelp
This is an old fave from growing up. Miss the old setup pre-fire, but they did a great job of preserving and restoring the overall atmosphere so it's pretty similar to what it was. Expect a significant wait on the weekends to get in (year round). Get the any of the French toast options and you will not be disappointed. This was one of the first places to adopt gfree bread a decade ago, so there are options if you have that allergy. BLTs are great too. Everything's delicious and it's a cozy spot, but you might be a little forced out by the high volume of people causing table turnover pressure, so don't expect to sit forever here on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Lena L.

Yelp
The hardest thing I encountered at this restaurant was deciding what to eat. We showed up at the exact right moment and sat right away. Tables are nice and close so you can check out all the yummy food your neighbors are ordering. However that only made it harder! We got two dishes, a Benedict and an egg bowl and both were great. The ladies behind us got the chocolate pancake thing and damn I was jealous. Gotta watch the pants though, so I just tried to smell it as much as possible and leave it at that. Fantastic local joint, would definitely return.

Yelp
Food- it is pretty good. My eggs were perfect. French toast was made with a regular bread which was a little dry. But Nutella covers all matters of bread sins. Service- friendly and attentive Parking- street parking available Value- It is good value for the money. Prices are quite reasonable Overall: This is a very cute place that should be a stop, a eatery that you keep coming back every now and then

Yelp
Great food. Pleasant server. May be the best omelet I've ever had. Wish I lived closer, but it's well worth the trip.

Guy R.

Yelp
We chose the cafe because it had gluten free options. It turned out to be partially true. They do have gluten free bread, but there's a high likelihood of cross contamination because everything is processed with shared cooking and toasting equipment. We found the cooked onions and peppers in the omelettes to be rather greasy. All in all quite mediocre. Though the servings were generous. The server must have been in training. She struggled to get things right. Maybe ESL? Nice girl, the chef actually came to our table to make sure we'd get what we wanted. The cafe itself is in a really nice spot, in a historic river town. Though seating was very tight. Five adults at a little round table that would have been comfortable for three. The large square plates covered virtually every inch of its surface. We opted to set condiments on the floor. I don't think we'll be back. Not terrible but not great.

Vicki D.

Yelp
Great service, wonderful omelette, prices so reasonable!!! We enjoyed ourselves. Can't go wrong!!

AJ C.

Yelp
This is the cutest sweet cafe + diner in town! Feels a little packed inside, but the service is quick and friendly! Delicious food and would definitely come back!

Karen M.

Yelp
Very quaint but bustling business. Seems to be the "go to" place for brunch. I had the corn soup special which was good, along with the tuna Niçoise salad. Truthfully, the tuna was way too fishy tasting for me so I switched with hubby who had same salad with salmon rather than tuna. This was perfect for me. I would definitely go back and try a burger next time, which looked delish

Yelp
This is an adorable cafe in an adorable riverside town. The interior is cozy and retro. The staff is very attentive. I ordered an egg white omelette with spinach, onions and mushrooms, sweet potato hash with a side of kielbasa. The omelette was huge, fluffy and the ingredients were all fresh. The only thing I didn't like was that they seemed to use a flavored oil (possibly butter flavor) to cook the omelette and the flavor was so strong, it ruined the omelette for me. The hash was delicious though and I love that they have kielbasa as a side option. My husband got the Nutella French toast and it was a little plain/underwhelming that day. We've had it before and it's been better. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the ambiance and try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I stooped into this lovely little place for breakfast the other day. I wasn't too hungry so I had a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Everything was delicious. I was sorry I didn't have the appetite for the Irish breakfast that was on special. Darcy, with whom I had a delightful morning chat. and the other servers were attentive and quick. If I lived in this lovely town, it would be hard not to come here often.

Darla T.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and person behind counter basically summoned me to sign in at a kiosk in a rude way. Previous visit was in the summer and the place was as hot as it was outside. Tables are practically on top of each other...when will restaurants understand that patrons don't want to sit inches away from each other. Make room for paying customers please so they can enjoy their conversations and space. Food is average but waitstaff are great.

Yelp
These folks are back! They were closed when there was damage to their place due to a nearby fire. But they are back and as good as ever. This is a local gem, worth a trip from miles away. The Main Street is a walkers paradise and is filled with cool little shops selling lots of unique art pieces and other temptations. Follow your walk with a sandwich or salad here. The also shine for brunch treats. Great atmosphere and they now have an outdoor patio so social distancing, mask free, is available. Good service, good food, this is a local gem. Go, you'll thank me later

Adrienne M.

Yelp
Delicious food and lovely service. Go early to get a seat since it is always packed.

Jacob C.

Yelp
Great local restaurant. Good food, service and ambience. Love this place. Highly recommend!

Nate M.

Yelp
This cool cozy cafe is an outstanding place worth checking out. The inspired menu is creative and features top notch quality food and the coffee is fantastic. If I'm ever passing through the area I make it a point to stop by I've only been there about 5 times but am in love with their Cafe eggs Benedict Bfast and the cranberry turkey sandwich. The price is very reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is exceptional . The lady Lana is a true gem and always remembers how I like my order. I'd like to try more Sandwiches but am stuck on the same 2 that I get every time. Definitely one of the coolest places to grab lunch or breakfast in all the Delaware river towns.

Yelp
Wife and I took a little drive to Frenchtown, NJ yesterday and went to the Frenchtown Cafe. Never been here before or to Frenchtown but heard it was a quaint little town. Town was nice but less than what we expected. We were hoping a town like Clinton but not even close. The cafe was small but a lot of tables. Wife had a salad with fried chicken. Although very filling and tasted good, the chicken was pounded very very thin and slightly dry. I had the turkey panini with Brie, apple and cranberry mayo served with chips. Sandwich was very good. Wasn't much cranberry flavor to the mayo so maybe a little more into the mixture. Add a little horseradish and it would make the sandwich pop. Our waitress was very nice and attentive even though she had a few tables outside. Waitress said the onion rings were house made but we don't believe that is true. They were too perfect with a smooth coating that just yelled processed food. The positives greatly outnumbered the few little things. If you're ever in Frenchtown, definitely eat here. If we ever go back to the town there's another little eating place across the street we want to try because the menu looked tempting.

Beth R.

Yelp
I've been there for breakfast and lunch. Food is Delicious, and service is terrific. Great ambiance. Enjoy the historic photos.

Wassim A.

Yelp
I had a carrot ginger soup that was absolutely fantastic. The French dip was very flavorful. The location is a cure small town vibe, the seating area feels very homey. Staff was fantastic from walking in to walking out.

Eileen W.

Yelp
Food delicious quick helpful staff. Ate outside on patio on sunny day perfect for my friends and I

Rachel B.

Yelp
Nice local spot for brunch in a cute little town. Their grilled chicken pesto panini was pretty good, though their chicken and rice soup was only ok (comparable to something out of a can). The prices are decent for the amount and quality of food (except maybe for the soup...)--my panini was great and they accommodated my request to substitute red pepper with tomato. My friend's french dip sandwich looked like what I want to get the next time I go!

Caroline N.

Yelp
Excellent food, whether you order in or take out. Great staff, and clean environment. Overall a nice place to have lunch with a friend.

Lola L.

Yelp
Amazing all the day. The food is absolutely delicious. Service is on point. I loved this restaurant!!! Had the tostada Steak, hot mess and pancakes. Every single item was on point.

Ellen W.

Yelp
What a great find! Everything we ordered was 5-star delicious in an a nice cafe space. Amazing chilled mango soup surprised with a hint of jalapeño. Excellent, enormous burgers and southwestern chicken panini; fabulous shrimp diablo tacos! And terrific service by Graciela and team! We will be back!

Psychic Glorya G.

Yelp
The food is Excellent!! The hostess and Especially Donna our waitress were Wonderful! If I could give them all 100 stars for superb food and the best waitress I would! I highly recommend The Frenchtown Cafe.

Shannon D.

Yelp
The food and people were fantastic! Our waitress was Lana and I cannot remember the last time I had a server as attentive and helpful as she was. She was super accommodating when my sister had an allergy issue, and was so willing to do what she could to make our experience a good one. If you go, make sure you ask for Lana!

Trent G.

Yelp
Super delicious breakfast food, and the staff is very quick and attentive. If you're not nearby this town, it's worth a drive and plenty to do on the weekend. If the asparagus soup is on the menu, you better order it!

Lori D.

Yelp
Great breakfast gathering place! Country setting with awesome pictures of long ago in Frenchtown

Brian B.

Yelp
Great breakfast menu! Friendly staff! First time trying this place and everything was great! Chicken and corn bread waffle was delicious!

Atiya A.

Yelp
Was visiting town and found this place for lunch. Order some sandwiches, the mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Everything was very delicious and the fries were so addicting!!!!

Trot F.

Yelp
Foods good enough, not bad no amazing. Good for town. Breakfast looks good, will try and update. But still a. Great place. Service is really good and friendly

Marc R.

Yelp
Great service. Fresh food. Perfect breakfast place on a weekend I Frenchtown. Coffee is definitely a highlight.

Juliet B.

Yelp
Excellent service in a quaint town. Nice quality food and the staff is very accommodating. I'll definitely be back if I'm driving through.

Adam M.

Yelp
Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend if you're in the area!!!!!! You really can't go wrong with any of the menu items.

Shannon P.

Yelp
As a local I always recommend the Frenchtown Cafe for breakfast. It's a staple in town and the food is incredible. I make sure to request for Lana to provide service as it has makes my breakfast that much better. She is incredibly sweet and attentive. Hot coffee and smiles are always abundant. I work in customer service as well, for over a decade so I can be hard to please, Lana is a doll and I know I'm in good hands. Eggs Benedict or The Bliss are my go to's!

Harry K.

Yelp
Sorry to say, they used to have excellent Home fries, but not anymore. They do not taste like homemade. I think they are using frozen par-cooked cubed potatoes, they are so hard you can barely stab a fork into them. I am very disappointed, it was a great place for breakfast.

Joe M.

Yelp
First time in Frenchtown. Cafe is small but it was well recommended so waited for table. It serves solid cafe food. You sort of know what to order without menu. The only problem I had was we were seated in the front window and people on the street can peer in and watch you eat. It's a touristy town so there is a lot of sidewalk traffic. I have no idea why anyone would want to watch me eat but they do. Food was good so I gave a good rating, but don't sit in the window.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
So cute, unique menu, good people. Ensure to go early to get a table but the staff is tentative to diners and those waiting. Portions are a good size and can split 2 dishes for 2, joe than plenty of

Dan P.

Yelp
Love this place. Wish more places like this existed. Great breakfast choices. Reasonably priced. Our server Lana was attentive and super friendly. What more could you ask for!

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Although I have been through Frenchtown more times than I can count, this was the first time I ever parked and walked around. I found the Cafe through Yelp and decided to give it a try. First impression - the place was small and packed, like walking into a cafe in NYC. I figured it must be a good sign. The service started a little slow but we weren't in a rush. We placed our order and it quickly arrived. The food was delicious and portion sizes were just right. Everything was so good we even added a corn muffin at the end. Overall, the Cafe had a very warm and welcoming feel. I will go back again.

Meghna B.

Yelp
Stopped by for Sunday brunch and managed to get a table for two right away! I ordered a French Vanilla iced coffee and the Bliss with mushrooms. The coffee was a little bitter for me but I was a huge fan of the bliss! The portions were pretty big and the food came out relatively fast. Will definitely visit again if I'm in the area!
