Frendz Resort & Hostel Boracay

The perfect place for our week in Boracay. Such a friendly atmosphere, it almost felt like a home stay at a family compound. The people who work there are so very nice and take time to sit and have a friendly chat. Service was attentive, too, and the food is fantastic. It was nice to have a low pressure place to hang out between our explorations. Wifi was solid, so we were able to get work done. There's also a designated work room that we never needed to use, but it was nice to know that it was there. They were good about getting everyone quiet at a reasonable hour to allow guests to sleep. There was only one time we noticed that the power went out, but they fired up their generators within 5-10min. Would have been perfect if the walkway to the beach were more pleasant, but that's no fault of theirs. Still a very easy and convenient walk to DMall and the beach. Thank you, Frendz, for a wonderful stay!

I had an amazing stay at Friendz Boracay – it truly exceeded my expectations! The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere was lively and social, perfect for meeting fellow travelers, yet still offered spaces to relax and unwind. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the location is just a short walk from the beach, which was super convenient. One suggestion for improvement would be to consider adding a toilet on the second floor. Having to go down to the common restroom on the ground floor, especially at night, was a bit inconvenient. That said, this small issue didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and friendly place to stay in Boracay!

I’m confused with the reviews and genuinely suspect many to be fake. It was quite empty and is located in a dirt alley, regardless those weren’t the issue. Private rooms are in poor condition, with little to no insulation. They had a movie night where they blasted a movie, for the 4 people watching, so loud that we legitimately couldn’t hear our own thoughts in the room. Asked when it would end but it kept going beyond 11pm so friend and I left that night and didn’t look back. I’ve been to both Frendz hostels, the El Nido location is fantastic. Boracay is a hard pass, I enjoyed Happiness Hostel’s energy much more. Maybe just my experience but it really gave bad/sad vibes.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The dorm was super comfortable and clean, and they made my bed every day. The room had lockers with padlocks, and the bed had a hanger to keep your things. It also had air conditioning and a fan. There was no bathroom in the room, but that wasn’t a problem for me. The hostel has a great atmosphere—every night, they organize activities that make socializing super easy, but everything wraps up by 11-12, so you can still get a good night’s sleep. The food at the restaurant is amazing! I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there almost every day. They also organize all the tours, which makes everything really convenient. It’s very close to the beach and the shopping mall, as well as the popular party spots. Perfect location!

I rarely take the time to post a review but my experience here was so different from what I had read in the comments here that I have to. Let's start with the positives: The dorm was clean and comfortable, with a curtain and a little shelf and light right next to the bed which is nice. I also enjoyed having a bathroom attached to it. The lady at the check-in counter was helpful and lent me an adaptor to be able to charge my phone. Now the negatives: When you get there you will think you are mistaken when walking into the hostel's street given how shady and unappealing it looks. Regarding the "Frendz" atmosphere, no one from the staff greeted me or introduced me to anyone, or even mentioned the activities. It is possible to connect with people as most of them are open to it if you want to but that's entirely left up to you. There were activities supposed to take place at 8:30 PM but both times it turned out being karaoke with super loud volume and people shouting into the mic until 11 PM. Thank goodness it stopped at that time. The staff at the restaurant was about as smiley as a prison guard. I found it annoying that there was no water fountain as you had to ask the staff to fill up your water bottle each time you were thirsty... The food was good but a bit overpriced, expect to spend almost $10 for a nice breakfast for example. There are scheduled power outages and during that time every hotel turns on it's huge power generator which is very noisy. Woke up around 5:30 AM and was kept awake from then on. This brings us to the last part which cannot be blamed on the hostel: Boracay itself: way too crowded, not authentic, algae on the beach, my advice is to skip it all together but that's not the topic here.

Staying at Frendz was an unforgettable experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere was lively and social, and the facilities were top-notch. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Whether you want to relax or join in on the fun, this place has the best of both worlds. I’ll definitely be coming back—highly recommend!

I was hesitant between Frendz and Happiness Hostel. But I would choose Frendzzzzzzz! They will provide you with locker, lock and keys, towels and blankets. Thank you. 🙏🏼 Location wise, Frendz is very close from the beach, bars and restaurants. It’s a very beachy vibe and have scheduled events every night to mingle with others. Very friendly staff and people. STRONG DRINKS TOO. Very spacious bathrooms, and clean. I am so happy about this. I had a bunk bed and I would say I slept good and not much noise issues around for me. Well I sleep like 2 or 3 AM hahaha and wake up at 9. Also, even if you’re in a bunk bed they still clean your bed. Come back everything sorted properly. Quite nice of em. Didn’t expect it. I did remote work here as well, very stable wifi connection. FYI, there are mosquitoes around cuz so many trees and plants. So don’t forget to bring OFF LOTION lol. I don’t mind this bit really. It’s expected in every island. Overall, I’d love to stay here again! Thank you so muchie!

The best hostel I have stayed at. So social and friendly, very easy to make friends as a solo traveler! And the food was amazing. Will definetely come back!
