Fresh Catch Kaneohe

The food was incredibly delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes, and mine was salmon with seaweed and some poke. I believe one of the poke was Hawaiian style and loved it so much! The plate was pretty big I was not able to finish all of the rice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this place.

The food and service here were amazing!! I definitely recommend the wasabi shoyu ahi poke and the kitchen sink poke. Both were extremely flavorful. The fish and chips were 10/10. The fish was perfectly crispy and so flavorful, the fries were super crispy and honestly the best I’ve had. The eating area upstairs is really nice and clean, and the service was awesome. The ladies helped answer our questions and decide what to order. Don’t skip this gem!

OBSESSED. I think I bring everyone I know here! Freshest, most incredible fish. Tastes like candy, melts in your mouth. Very good prices! Everyone who works here is SO SWEET and always takes the best care of us. Thank you guys! Cannot wait to visit again, I dream about this poke! Not even joking :)

Amazing amazing amazing. I was a little intimidated to try the different flavors and the woman at the counter helped my try a few and picked out such an amazing selection. SO fresh!!! Best tuna I’ve ever had!! And the fries were also to die for

Poke and fish is sooo fresh. Just out of the way a little bit but soo worth it. Order your poke first. Lots to chose from I would recommend the spicy Hawaiian. They add tobiko to the Poke. Prices are fair for 2 you are looking at around $50

Fresh Catch is a popular spot, and after trying their food, it's easy to see why. The most important thing for a seafood restaurant is the quality of its fish, and Fresh Catch absolutely delivers on freshness. The fish I had was incredibly fresh—firm, flaky, and clearly high-quality. The preparation also showed a deft hand, with great flavor profiles that complemented the natural taste of the fish without overpowering it. This is definitely a place to go for a solid, flavorful fish meal. ​However, there's a significant downside if you're leaning toward their deep-fried offerings. While the fish itself was great, I found that the fried portions, or any of the fried food, were noticeably too greasy. The excessive oil really weighed down what should have been a satisfying crunch, making the overall dish feel heavy and oily rather than crisp. ​My recommendation? Stick to the grilled, seared, or baked options to get the best of what Fresh Catch has to offer. The quality of the seafood and the flavors are excellent, but I would avoid their fried dishes if you don't like feeling heavy afterwards.

Fresh Catch was open Thanksgiving day and I was so excited and so grateful! I am a healthcare contractor from the mainland and saw YouTube videographer Sean Kaleponi's video about Kaneohe and decided to head there yesterday. I was so excited when I walked in and they allowed me to have THANKSGIVING POKE hawaiian style! My day instantly became memorable as the young girl was so friendly and the poke was to die for!!! The coconut Octopus and the spicy Ahi Were amazing! I can't begin to thank you enough for giving me such an incredibly delicious Hawaiian Thanksgiving!!! I can't wait to come back again and again!!! Mahalo nui loa!!!

Every bite was a delight—fresh fish, perfectly cooked rice, and unique, flavorful dips. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations that truly made the experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of seating upstairs and a great selection of interesting drinks 🍹. A fantastic spot for a relaxed and satisfying meal 🙌

This place is a MUST if you are on island! We used to go to their old location when we lived here and were so pleasantly surprised to see that they've expanded not only survived COVID, they were able to relocate to a new beautiful building that they own. The food here is just the best local food. The freshest fish and their garlic chicken is otherworldly. The staff is so kind and just know how to provide a great experience. We've been back twice already and have plans to go again with friends. Go! You won't be disappointed!!

Update after a few visits from the first visit,Fresh Catch is the real deal! Fresh fish is what you find here! Always consistent! You can pick up your food & catch the elevator upstairs to enjoy the views ( haven't done that yet) or take out! Fresh varieties of poke you can ask for made fresh and stored in their showcase commercial refrigerator! When ever you want fresh fish this is the spot! They have salmon & chicken plate lunches too!

Having ate here a lot at other locations I finally had time to stop in their new Kaneohe location! Service was great even though the cook forgot the sauces on our food... Ordered, and everything was ready quickly. Decided to eat in as cold food isn't great and was slightly saddened. The ahi katsu wasn't as good as it used to be. The fish was super thin and dry, and the sauce couldn't save it. The poke was ok, but one of them had a little too much sugar for my liking... Overall it wasn't bad, just not the same as it used to be...

Best poke in town. Love the spicy ahi and the tako. Both over hot rice is the only way to eat this ono local creation. Well keep coming back for the freshest poke in town.

First time trying Fresh Catch. Always thought they were mostly poke until a friend said they have other cooked fish and other plates, too. They give you a buzzer after you order, but food was ready pretty quickly. Tried the Ahi Katsu and it was delicious! Not cooked until the ahi was dried out. Nice and crispy Only issue (and friend already knew) is they don't drizzle much sauce on and it could have used more. Would have been five stars otherwise for my plate. Another friend got the beef stew and she said it was weird tasting. Beef pieces weren't tender. Only the potatoes were. We got our food take out, but there's tables with benches to sit at. Tables are resin covered and pretty, but benches look hard, after all they are benches. Service is good, staff are friendly. They are patient with tourists walking in asking questions about the food.

Best poke we have had on the island, super fresh, delicious flavors. Not more you could ask for. Prices are double than what you pay at the grocery store. So it's pretty pricey. The shoyu poke was my favorite a little sweet, but not strong. The limu was salty/savory and not too salty like some places. Seasonings were really well balanced, fish was mild. We tried the Ahi salad and it was generous in portion, fish was good and the dressings were tasty. We had tried another location last time we were here and didn't have a good experience, but we got it at the end of the day. It was around dinner time and I wouldn't recommend doing that here. It wasn't as fresh. Maybe it was from the morning? Poke is typically a lunch thing. Never tastes as good if it sat all day. This location was good, we did get it in the morning and take it on the boat for lunch. So not an issue this time.

Arrived here for a quick lunch. Fresh Catch from what i've heard is most known for their ahi katsu plate lunches. Went on a Saturday so it was busy with all the stalls occupied but we got a parking pretty quick after patiently waiting. I at first wanted to get ahi katsu but i had katsu the night before so I went with a poke bowl instead. Got 2 poke bowls two scoop rice with spicy ahi and shoyu. Other poke bowl with spicy ahi and kitchen sink. Total came out to $50. Now did I wish then and there to get ahi katsu? yeah i wish i did. Poke bowl is good! fresh! but the spicy ahi taste just like straight mayonnaise and I love mayonnaise but i've tried better spicy ahi at other places. Their shoyu poke is really good tho! Would come back again, but for ahi katsu. Used to always drive up to Waialua lunch wagon for ahi katsu but I'll try it here next time.

Customer service is fantastic! The teriyaki ahi tuna(poke) is very fresh and tasty! I got katsu salmon which I absolutely loved. Tuesday and Wednesday I'll have to go back because the specials those days are very special. Monday they are closed. The upper deck was closed today for a special event. The ladies and men's rooms are locked, so ask for a key. There are dining tables inside large enough for a big family or to meet some new friends! There's a little music playing too. Loved it! I'll be going back!

One day i craved ahi katsu randomly out of the blue and searched on google places that had it , it brought me here to Fresh Catch and the rest is history lol ( literally ).. This is my second time at their Kaneohe location , I honestly prefer this location rather than the Kapahulu one. I always get the Spicy Ahi Katsu plate , it's literally the BOMB.COM!! The portion is big too , so you can always eat it for lunch and then dinner. They probably have the best Ahi katsu on island , in my opinion. Service is always great too! And food always comes out fast! ** also excuse my pic , the plate tilted in the car (my fault probably) but trust the plate looks much nicer than this in real life LOL **

Dropped a visit here specifically for the ahi Katsu bowl since that seemed to be the yelper fan favorite. And it sure did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and tender with great crisp on the outside. Like many other shops, Fresh catch offers a wide variety of poke where you can purchase by the lbs. or in a poke bowl. They also have a variety of other dishes on the menu. Seating is available but somewhat limited during the busy hour. Just be friendly and share the tables and you should be good. Easy peasy parking lot at this location as well. Cheers

First time here. Had just landed at HNL and was starving! My boyfriend took me for lunch and it was so damn yummy! I ended up with the furikake salmon and I'd order this again. It was cooked perfectly.

my new favorite spot!!!! we went 30 minutes prior to closing and they only had the furikake seared left (which was not our first option) but ended up being a blessing in disguise because it was sooo delicious!!! the tuna is so soft it melts right in your mouth & doesn't have a fishy taste at all! it pairs so nicely with the aioli sauce or even by itself!! there's a seating area on the other side with about 5 benches the main parking lot gets filled quick but luckily there's additional parking the next lot down

Miss Shirley is the absolute best. She showed us how to order the poke bowl and was so friendly!!!

This quick service restaurant was a great find and their fish all on display for customers to choose from. They also offered cooked items including fries, Katsu, smoked meats, and chicken. We got the Hawaiian Ahi poke, the ahi Katsu, and the smoked meats. Everything was delicious!!! I've never had the ahi Katsu and smoked meats before (pretty much smoked char siu) and I highly recommend folks to try these out! The staff was nice and welcoming and very helpful with the questions we had. The dining area was off to the side, which is great for both those with to-go orders and those that want to stay there and eat. Can't wait to go back and try other items!

Really good fresh poke and made to order plate lunches! We tried three kinds of poke and all were super good- loved the less common flavors like wasabi ahi and coconut octopus too. On the combo plate lunch, the ahi katsu was phenomenal- super flavorful and great texture, and the chicken was mad crispy. Mac salad had potatoes hidden inside too. Def worth sampling :)

I'm not sure who helped me today, however, she was not very kind. No aloha there. I received what may be 4 bites of ahi and a scoop of rice. This is just ridiculous. My husband has gone multiple times and never once has his plate looked as sad as the one I received today. It was actually embarrassing to even leave and bring it home to him. I forgot to ask for furikake over the items, but I was presented with a small container for $1.75. Are we serious? I will not be going back anytime soon. I guess I'll send my husband, the more 'local' of the family (what a joke) to feel as though that was how I was being treated.

Idk what happened used to love the ahi katsu but last 2 times wasn't so good one time was a little burnt n this time dry n they put the sauce on so the outside was soggy they usually put sauce on side, also rice too mushy. But service is always good

#5 rank out of 5. Of the 5 poke places we tried while on Oahu, this one was the lowest rank. Came in after the lunch rush, selection was small, but service was excellent. Food was subpar / mediocre - almost supermarket quality. Fish freshness tasted like defrosted frozen ahi - cuts were very uneven - large uneven chunks to tiny cubes. Taste was way too heavy/strong in sauces and therefore very salty. Tried: shoyu, limu and spicy. All were very salty - made me remove the dressing/sauce on the ride just to be able to eat it. At $26/lb it's too pricey for what you get. Tried their beef stew and katsu w/ garlic chicken plate - both were very salty as well. Beef stew was almost all fat - very little meat and one small piece of potato and carrot was all that was found. Had to take a anti-hypertensive medication after that meal. Would not return here.

This WAS my go-to poke place in Kaneohe. Let me tell you why... My first experience, service was good, poke was fresh, quality was good. I ordered kitchen sink, spicy ahi & fried chicken plate. Everything was spot on. My second experience, service was just ok. Employee seemed irritated but it's alright. Limited choices on poke, quality was still good. Fried chicken plate was SUPER salty. My third AND last experience, not much options for poke, quality was eh... I got the spicy ahi it was dry and extremely salty. I wanted to give the fried chicken another try because my first experience it was really good. But the fried chicken was yet again, SALTY. I really hate giving low star reviews... but I gave this place a chance & I like being honest so others can save money especially in this economy.

Stopped for lunch after spending the morning on the water. Known as a great poke spot, Fresh Catch lived up to its reputation after being highlighted on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Efficient ordering at the counter. Tried a combo plate of Garlic Chicken and Spicy Ahi Katsu. Came with the Hawaiian plate standards of white rice and Mac salad. Fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. Loved the garlic chicken too, which had great sweetness and garlic flavor. A brisk local lunch crowd confirmed how good this place is.

Wowowow! The spicy ahi katsu is unlike anything I've ever tried before. How do they get it so crispy?! And yet so tender?? It's just a mystery. The sauce on top comes PACKING with flavor. If you like strong salty-creamy flavors with your katsu, you would love this. The poke was decent but nothing crazy so I'd pass on that next time. But man I will think about this ahi katsu for a long time :')

We stopped by for lunch here and were so impressed by the quality of food and the people behind the counter. They were so friendly, warm and welcoming and gave us excellent suggestions. The fish was fresh and delicious and so was the poke. Highly recommend this modest but outstanding restaurant.

Fresh Catch's new location makes it easy to enter and park. Top plate picks - Ahi belly and crab stuffed ahi roll (Wednesday special) - Spicy Ahi katsu - Baked furikaki salmon - Salmon garlic - not a fan of the smoked meat Customer service is smooth never had any issues from tons of visits here. Seating is limited despite the size of the building. You'll see it right when you enter.

Service was very quick and we were super excited to try this place since we've heard good things. We got the Hawaiian, spicy ahi and spicy salmon. The Hawaiian was tasty but super salty and the spicy ahi/salmon were even more salty. The rice was also super dry. Definitely won't be coming back.

have somehow never tried fresh catch and finally got a chance to today! I like that the rice is not hot so it doesn't cook the poke, and the poke itself was fresh and well seasoned with decent sized chunks. The limu ahi poke was a little too salty for my liking. Service was quick and courteous, and there is plenty of seating inside. Casual atmosphere. Four stars mainly because it is a bit pricey, ($47 for two bowls), but the fish is so fresh!

The girl at the register was sooooooo sassy, like we were wasting her time and just overall irritating her. My husband and I were pretty disgusted. Super disappointed. The food isn't good enough to deal with that kind of lack of service so we go elsewhere now where there's actual aloha and welcoming vibes.

Place was clean and well lit. Menu was easy to read and the pictures make your opu more hungry! I had the fried ahi lechon which was broke da mouth! Hubby had the spicy ahi Katsu which he also whacked! Service was nice and fast and counter assistants friendly and happy. Can't wait until the 2nd floor is ready! Oh, and the parking was ample and easy to maneuver in and out of the driveway.

Big space for eating with folks! Fresh fish and they can let you try too. This place has a sweeter side to the sauces than other poke places we've had. Fast service snd plenty of parking!

Today my food was on point! My Seared Ahi Salad was so fresh! the slab of ahi they used melted in my mouth & was so perfectly seasoned & seared! not overcooked at all! My Garlic Chicken was crispy and fresh! Not one chicken was soggy! anytime i'm near fresh catch in kaneohe i will be buying both of these plates! Worth the drive! Worth the money! Worth the wait!

Ordered the Spicy Ahi Katsu plate and a pound of the Spicy Ahi. The Katsu plate was amazing - so Ono. Comes with a layer of spicy ahi katsu with mayo and furikake over lettuce leaf for color. As for the pound of spicy ahi - I'm glad I brought to share because salt was heavy on dis one. Either that or it wasn't lomi'd enough in da poke. I caught a pocket of Hawaiian salt and my tongue was pau - but everything else was Ono. I will still come back but I'll ask for a sample next time. Service was fast with talking story small kine since was busy but very efficient and didn't keep people waiting to long. Over to the right of the restaurant is a long bench - cafeteria style where you rub elbows with new friends. We chose to eat on the run since our party was big. All in all, it was a good day.

Ventured out to Kaneohe intending to go to the mall to eat. On the way, husband saw Fresh Catch and mentioned how much he enjoyed it. I said I'd never been and neither had my daughter so we decided to give it a try. Inside was a tad chaotic with people in a line to order at the register. A worker then explained to order your poke first (if you were ordering poke)then move along to order plate lunches (there were two lines). There aren't any lines on the floor, area roped off, or instructions on a wall to explain how to order so it was a little confusing if you're not familiar with the process. They also had some red velvet desserts next to the register that looked good. We decided to dine-in upstairs. Paid for our food, got a pager, was told to go upstairs, then come back when our pager beeps. The dining room is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful with open windows showcasing the beauty of Kaneohe. One gal was tending the upstairs and was very friendly and warm. She brought us cups of ice water and explained how they're waiting on some other items before they can open up the dining room. It's extremely clean and spacious. There's a long bar and she said they can hold private parties, too. If I lived on that side I'd consider it for a birthday party or small celebration. Husband and I shared the furikake salmon and daughter had the garlic chicken. The salmon was fresh, a decent size, moist, and flavorful with two scoops rice. However, the surprising star of the day was the garlic chicken-it stole the show! The chicken was tender, crunch was perfect; as well as the yummy sauce. Hands down beats any garlic chicken we've ever had. Husband said he could eat it every week! The garlic chicken came with mac salad which was also very good. No crumbs left on either plate. *All staff from register to dining room were very welcoming and full of the aloha spirit. Support local! Will definitely eat at Fresh Catch again.

EVERYTHING went well! Food was amazing. The bar upstairs was beautiful & the bartender couldn't have been nicer. We were able to taste ALL the poke before ordering. Mac Salad was 2nd best on the island. Seared ahi was legendary. Garlic chicken was perfectly done with a slightly sweet crunch. Not sure which poke was the best - old school (slightly sweet), kitchen sink or spicy shoyu. And if you like salmon poke, this is the place to eat it!

Ladies that work the poke counter are great. Poke is good (not great)... tends to have nice saltiness. Seating is terrible here though. Haven't tried upstairs yet.

First time back since it moved locations now occupied by "Whisky Smoke 808". Still most of the same dishes and still taste amazing, just love the Spicy Ahi Tonkatsu available with both white or brown rice. The food quality and quantity was just a good as I remembered from the last location. The new location has not yet been fully completed yet with only a small downstairs dining area with three long benches. The upper dining area is not yet accessible. Plenty of room for parking at the new location. The order was taken quickly, I would recommend phoning it in ahead if you don't want to wait 10-15 minutes while it is cooked. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy this local seafood restaurant and looking forward to when the top floor dining area is completed.

The plates took a minute but in the new clean tidy location, it was worth. We got Ahi Katsu and The Poke Bowl. For the Poke we got Ahi Limu and Spicy Ahi. All of it was good! The food tasted fresh. The Furikake on the Ahi Katsu went well. Yum! Parking lot on the side. Decent amount of inside seating too, or you can always take out. Service was nice and super friendly! Would for sure be back at one of the locations

Great quality of fish. Katsu was little bit over done. Garlic chicken was the fckn winner for me! Tastes like Fatboys' garlic chicken when it used to be good. Fast service. Our food came out hot and fast. Can't wait til they build a bigger seating area! I would recommend this place if you're looking for fresh fish. Try the Hawaiian style poke. We ordered some for our laulau, poi and pickled onion dinner tonight!

They always have a great selection of the freshest fish. You can take it to go or eat in. Very clean and relaxing. My favorite is the smoked Tako.

I cannot say better things about Fresh Catch! The poke is super fresh and super flavorful! We tried at least 6 different kinds of poke and all of them have distinct flavors and are all super delicious. The poke is also priced by weight so you can decide your own portion size. Staff there are super friendly and let us sample a few to help us decide. The place itself is very clean. Def stop by if you're looking for good poke!

Fried "salmon bones": crispy breading on what's left on a salmon after the meat has been filleted. Good taste and some salmon meat. Just have to be vigilant to not include a fish bone with any bite. Counter order and a five-ten minute wait for the order. A few community tables available. Clean restrooms accessible with a key.

We had a party upstairs at fresh catch let me tell you everything went so perfect. The food is outstanding the desserts out outstanding. The staff couldn't ask for anything more really really pleased. fresh catch the upstairs if I have another party, I'll be sure to have it there again. Everything went so well thank you. fresh catch.

we are here visiting and a local referred us to this place. the food was absolutely phenomenal, almost enough to go back. but the service was absolutely disgusting. they could tell we were not locals and we were clearly not welcome here. if you are visiting, i absolutely do not recommend coming here. such a disgustingly rude establishment. however i would go down the street to k. bay bros, sweetest people i have ever met.

Food is great, no argument there. Service has genuinely gone down since they remodeled. If you go in, they're generally nice enough unless you try to go in after 6pm (their online posting AND voicemail says they close at 7pm). They've always been especially rude when interacting via phone call. On 08/12/2025, I called 18 times from 6:30pm and they finally answered at 6:42pm. Lady at the front said the doors close at 7, but they're out of food by 6:45pm (again, I'd been calling since 6:30pm). Then was hung up on once the information was relayed. If they need to close at 6pm, they should put that on their Google listing and change the information properly, instead of acting rudely because a customer wants to go and get food when the restaurant claims to be open.

Garlic Salmon plate is a must try! If you haven't tried their dressing, it's the best! I came in with a group of 6 to dine in. They had 3 long picnic style tables to sit at. This was an order at register place. They are working on renovating the second floor for sit down dining. Our group ordered the furikake seared ahi, seared ahi salad, seared ahi with aioli, garlic salmon, and poke bowl. All of the seared ahi's come with the aioli sauce. I wasn't very fond of the aioli sauce because it has a slight wasabi taste which paired extremely well with the furikake ahi. Since I wasn't a fan of the aioli, I preferred the regular seared ahi which was seared in a Hawaiian seasoning. The Hawaiian seasoning wasn't too overpowering and allowed me to enjoy the raw fish flavor of the ahi. Both my aunty and grandma ordered the garlic salmon. My grandma doesn't have a big appetite, but she finished the whole plate! My aunty enjoyed the garlic salmon so much she went back 2 days later to get it again but at the Kapahulu location.

Fresh Catch has a new location In Kaneohe. We picked up lunch today and the place looks really nice. Eventually there will be a dine in restaurant on the second level that is coming soon. We ordered a spicy ahi poke bowl, fried chicken plate and Dorito salad. The fish is fresh and so delicious. The Dorito salad was yummy with their special dressing. However we waited over 30 minutes for the fried chicken plate. Apparently there was a huge order before us so it took longer than expected. The staff was very apologetic and even gave me a complimentary small container of ahi limu poke which was ono. There is a small dine in area if you choose to dine in. The blue colored walls, pictures and wall decor are really nice. Can't wait for the upstairs to be completed.

Came with the family for lunch, great awesome food. Fresh and delicious. Cashier was patient with us, friendly staff. Cool pictures on the wall, cool and casual vibe. Could use more seating for people who want to dine in, just a suggestion. Would have given 4.5... But overall place is great.

Good place to get a quick bite to eat. Upstairs dinning area was under construction. They have few tables to sit right outside of restrooms. Poke seems to be freshly made and service is pretty quick.

We normally eat at the Honolulu or Pearl locations but ate at the Kāne'ohe location today. Food as always was amazing!!!! Service was poor today which is something I'm not use to at a fresh catch. Older lady at the counter in particular was very very rude to pretty much anyone she "helped". Hopefully this was an outlier.

The salmon belly and the tuna belly were very good. At the right temperature and very tender. The beer could be a little colder. Clean environment and the staff were very friendly.

Literally my first stop after I had my second baby! Ahi Katsu is A+ must try!!! It's the only thing I've really tried and loved it so haven't tried anything else but it doesn't ever disappoint.
