This spot is within a walking distance from Leonard’s. They only offer 15 min takeout parking spots. There is a bench to sit indoors if you want to eat there. We ordered the spicy hawaiian and spicy salmon. The fish tasted fresh and succulent. Spicy salmon tasted sweet like eating mango with chili. The sauce on spicy hawaiian was creamy and tasty, albeit a little too salty to my taste. They have a lot of options so it may take a while to decide. A decent poke spot in my view.

My favorite fish box during my trip to the island. The fish tastes very fresh and the sauce has so many layers of taste！the portions of the food are large and price is very affordable. The dining experience is great too very clean and nice people working there! I will definitely go back next time.

Fresh Catch is a fantastic spot for fresh fish & poke dishes. A deli style counter inside with simple menu items & pictures makes even a first time customer feel comfortable. The waiting area is just that, a place to sit and wait, though the service is fast and friendly. By the time you casually look at the all pictures, you’re order will be coming along & be careful of the heat on the bottom of to-go trays, I almost burnt myself, but that’s okay because it’s fresh! Good portion & priced accordingly…recommend 🤙🏼🎣

grab n go spot for poke. Got wasabi ahi which was on the sweeter side. Tried dried aku for the first time, I don’t think I’ve had a better jerky before.

Absolutely love this place! The poke is incredibly fresh and flavorful. The spicy ahi and shoyu ahi are amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend!

The cashier was not friendly at all & to make matters worse she only provided 1 napkin with our order of two plates. I asked for more napkins and she gave me 1 more, I then apologized while asking for more & even explained that I have a toddler & we’re going to be eating at a park. Well she didn’t care & proceeded to provide me 1 more napkin all while giving me attitude with her body language. It wasn’t nice nor necessary as I did use manners while requesting more napkins. It’s upsetting to have this experience as a paying customer who ordered two menu items, am I not entitled to more napkins at my request? Two napkins at the minimum should she be given per menu item ordered. Also want to add the cashier did not thank me or welcome me back as she gave me my order. I’m honestly just shocked by my experience today.

This fish market is truly one of those rare gems that you can’t help but rave about. They serve some of the freshest, highest-quality dishes you’ll find anywhere, and you can taste it in every bite. The ahi katsu is the standout — perfectly crispy on the outside with that golden crunch, and unbelievably tender on the inside. It literally melts in your mouth. It’s one of those dishes that makes you stop mid-bite because you can’t believe how good it is. Portions are very generous, too. You easily end up with leftovers, and somehow it tastes just as good later. That’s how you know the quality is real. The vibe inside is exactly what you want from a true fresh market — nothing fake or commercial. You see the fish, smell the freshness, and feel that authentic local energy. It’s not trying too hard, it’s just good. Real. Honest. And delicious. One of my favorite parts is the auntys who work there. They always show love, always greet you with warmth, and make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it makes every visit feel special. If there’s any downside, it’s only that they close early, so you have to plan your day around it — but honestly, it’s worth adjusting your schedule. When something is this fresh and this good, you make the time. Overall, this is absolutely a must-try spot for anyone who loves quality seafood, generous portions, and genuine aloha-style service. 100% recommend! We are visiting from Texas, this place is delicious and the fresh catches are amazing! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Malia is super sweet and the reason we will be back in a few days for fresh pupu and libations. Thank you for the local experience!

With a couple of locations around Oahu such as right down from St. Louis Heights and Kaneohe, Fresh Catch has been a constant for many local people around the island. They have a variety of dishes from beef stew to fries to poke. We decided to go to the location in town across from City Mill. There is a small lot that can be a bit difficult to get in and out of, especially when crowded. The place itself is blue and a decent size. There is space to order at a counter with a display case of poke. There is also space for tables and benches, if you want to eat inside. The decorations include a lot of fish and blue. It felt pretty casual and clean. We got a few different types of poke. We got the ahi shoyu poke, spicy ahi, spicy ahi shoyu, and Hawaiian poke. Each poke tasted fresh. The flavor of the ahi shoyu and spicy ahi shoyu tasted a bit light. The spicy ahi was spicier than anticipated but it was a welcome surprise! The Hawaiian poke tasted especially fresh and flavorful. We have also purchased the smoked meat fried rice, which is one of my favorite fried rices ever! We will definitely be back for it and some more poke.

UPDATE: Had to stop by again for poke for my husband and I tried the Ahi katsu this time. Even though it was close to closing, they happily cooked one up for me. Incredible $17 price for two delicious pieces, however, next time, I'd ask for a rarer center and "easy" mayo

The fish here was so sweet and fresh. The service was so friendly. Nowhere to really eat your food inside, so I'd recommend ordering takeout! Got my entire poke bowl for around $15, and I'd definitely love to return.

Fresh Catch the name lives up to its name. Poke is very good, very fresh ain't no joke about this one. Good service, great people , great location , nice clean restaurant. They don't only have poke on the menu , come stop by.

Visited this spot with my family and was blown away by the quality of the fish. I ordered the Lechon Ahi Belly. When you bite into it, the fish is soft and the lechon sauce blends well with the fish. It didn't feel oily at all. The workers are very friendly. They have a small dining area near the entrance. The place is kept clean. The overall ambiance is bright and welcoming. The bathrooms are kept clean as well.

I've been coming here while back, can't believe I don't have a review... Their plates are delish!! My go to is always the seared ahi with aioli. Think their popular plate is furikake salmon or furikake ahi. It's consistently yummy. The workers are always friendly. It's more of a grab and go. Parking is limited in front.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fish and chips here--they were wonderfully crispy and light, not at all oily or heavy. I tried the ahi and salmon; the salmon was definitely my favorite. I found most of the ahi tuna a bit too salty for my taste, though the fish itself was decently fresh. I also tried the Ahi Katsu for the first time. It was good, with a lightly crunchy exterior and a super tender interior that reminded me of pork, but it was a bit too heavy for me personally. You can all orders ahead!

By far the best AHI katsu plate I have ever tried in my life !!! The food was on point and the flavors did not disappoint !!! If your around the neighborhood come on down !!!

We were looking for fresh fish and we end up at this small resto:) parking wise is limited . Inside is small , there's few benches to sit on. Clean area. Food wise delicious, nomnom. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Plus they gave us free sashimi sample, melt our mouth , yum :) I highly recommend this place :)

I had the BEST salmon poke here. 1000% recommend getting their fresh poke here. You will not be disappointed. Best poke on the island. That salmon was the most buttery tender and flavorful poke I had in Waikiki so far. THIS IS WHY you must leave the strip and eat at local joint. Mm! I'm glad that Fresh Catch is bus-accessible, but you do have to walk pass the underpass to get to them. It's a nondescript fish market looking place with a few parking spots, but the menu is simple and the poke is all out on display so you know what you're getting. It's pay by the weight, so make sure you let the staff know if you want a lil more or less of the poke. I got the pick your own, which allows for 2 proteins and the rice was perfectly cooked. Salivating again just thinking about that salmon poke. THICC pieces too. We love that. Shop itself is clean and no frills.

I came here with my family and really enjoyed it! This is one of my favorite poke spots in Oahu! I got their shoyu poke bowl with ocean salad. It was the best ocean salad I ever tasted! The shoyu poke was very flavorful and fresh hence the name "Fresh Catch". I definitely would come back here for their poke! Highly recommend to give it a try! You won't regret it!

This is definitely my favorite spot for poke! It's fresh and tasty! Got the shoyu poke with ocean salad as soon as I landed and it hit the spot. The spicy ahi poke was ok I just wanted to try. Ate indoors standing since they had a counter open. I would totally come back the next time I'm on the Island.

love love love the quality we had to come back! this location is only for takeout with limited parking out front! the store is smaller compared to the kanohe location. the workers were so friendly & energetic and let us sample out the different poke cause we were indecisive. we went with the spicy ahi katsu combo & poke bowl... THE PORTIONS ARE HUGEEEE! the spicy ahi was so fire, perfect amount of crisp omg it was to die forrrrr :,) we also got a poke bowl and it's a dangerous game cause you can potential select unlimited amount of poke.... pricing depends on weight! we wanted to make sure to try all the favorites so we ended up with 5 different fishes all super delicious! missing this place the most after my vacation

Delicious grinds. Smoke meat and ahi katsu both mayjah. Fast service and kind cashiers. No dining area, just pick up and go from this poke and plate lunch spot. Parking lot is one way only. Quiet and casual place.

I grew up in Kaimuki so this place was always one of my go-to's. Their name is fresh catch so obviously all of their fish is top quality and delicious. But the real catch is actually their plate lunches. My order is always their fried chicken plate, my husband gets their ahi katsu & we share a half pound of their shoyu ahi poke. Their plates used to come with green salad but now they charge extra. But I love their dressing so I did order it. My husband also got an order of furikake fries. Hurts the pockets a little bit but everything is so ono that it's worth it. They used to be located on Waialae but moved some years back to the corner of Kapahulu & Harding. Getting to this location & the parking sucks so that's the only downfall. They no longer have tables inside so it's takeout only. We don't come to town often so this is always a special treat when we do.

We stumbled upon this gem after one of the poke spots nearby on my list was closed, and after trying the poke here at Fresh Catch we had no regrets!! the poke was so fresh, the perfect texture, and the marinate was delicious I'm drooling just thinking about it again. after a week long trip to hawaii, no other poke spot compared to Fresh Catch. Totally recommend grabbing some poke here- the hawaiian was our favorite.

It's crazy that I haven't gone to Fresh Catch yet, until today!! ***What I ordered ~ **Spicy Hawaiian (8/10) ~ This was VERY creamy, but really good. I just thought it was missing something. Side note, I tried their firebird (super spicy) and they added tobiko in it. Honestly if the spicy Hawaiian had tobiko in it, it would have been perfect! Other than that it was good! **Smoked Tako (8/10) ~ I was a little shocked to see the smoked Tako mixed in with the similar sauce as the spicy Hawaiian. And honestly that caught my eye. The texture was chewy and it was just a tad too salty for me. But it wasn't bad! Overall, Staff is SUPER friendly and poke isn't too bad! I'd come back to try their regular spicy ahi!

First time trying out Fresh Catch and I am so glad we did! Poke was sooooo good. Do I dare say it's better than Ono? :X Devoured that bowl right away with my husband. It was so delicious that by the end of our trip we made it a point to come back for a second time. You will definitely see us again when we come back to HI. I can't recommend this place enough!

Well known spot around the island. It is for a reason. Close to Waikiki so can get the tourist in Very very very fresh (go figure) fish source and great flavor. The spicy ahi is a too much mayo for me personally but I still downed it The guy behind the counter was very helpful and gave samples It's a little pricey but worth it for sure

Will always be one of my favorite spots that's a must anytime I'm in Oahu. Recommended to us by a friend who lived in Oahu for a few years. She said get yourself the spicy ahi katsu, so I did, and I'm addicted. It's perfection. Crispy, flavorful, and excellent mouth feel with a bite of rice. Don't sleep on their ahi poke either, especially the garlic one, it's like little bites of delicious ocean candy. Service is great, they're friendly and fast. It's a small space, you order at the counter, pay, then take your ass elsewhere cause there's no seating inside. My husband and I go town right in their parking lot. I had little specks of rice and sauce all over our car afterwards...but hey, it was a rental and it rained the next day anyway :) !

Fresh Catch is known for their poke, but is it weird that I come here for the smoked meat rice plate? Haha. It just hits the spot every time. The smoked meat (A): Smoky, slightly sweet, and with its perfectly charred edges... argh!!! I would eat it everyday if I could haha. Paired with rice, totally makes it a ridiculously satisfying meal. Yeah, their poke is solid too, but sometimes, you just gotta go with what you love

This is definitely a grab and go place; there's a total of 7 parking spots and no tables inside for seating. It was super busy at times but the workers are fast and efficient and they give out samples if you ask. Ordering was confusing at first but you can order by the scoop or pound if you know the specific amount you want. They charge market price for poke bowls so prices vary by item and portion; all my bowls cost ~$20 give or take a couple of dollars. My go to order: poke bowl - 1/2 pound furikake salmon, 1 scoop rice, 1 scoop edamame, 1 scoop seaweed salad

For a while I didn't think poke on Oahu was anything special compared to the other islands (to be fair I only ever tried Ala Moana foodland poke in Oahu). It wasn't until I tried the poke here was when I was mind blown and sold that Oahu has some of the best poke in Hawaii and it's here. There are so many places I wanted to try in Oahu that I'm sure are just as good if not better but having to only have tried this place, this wins. The fish was so fresh and they sell out often during the day and end up having to make more during the day so it's def fresh. The fish was so buttery I still think about it even though I came here like a month ago. Highly recommend!

I tried calling little after 6:00pm no answer. I was missing the Poke and Rice that I ordered.

It's been awhile since we last ate here but so happy to be back. The new location was not on the main road and a little tougher for parking. All the poke that day were mostly variations of ahi, some salmon or tako. The poke was sold by weight and when we got the poke bowl each scoop of rice was $1.75. Sides like seaweed also charged by weight. Photos of all the cooked entrees were posted above the counter along with pricing. Staff were very friendly and gave out poke samples, described the poke and always checked with us if we wanted more than what they scooped. The orders for the furikake salmon and teri salmon belly were ready within a short period of time. I wished they still had indoor seating like the previous location so we could eat immediately as we were all hungry. Both pokes were very fresh and the sauce or combinations quite tasty. The furikake salmon and teriyaki salmon bellies were cooked perfectly, moist and flaky and well seasoned. We came back again the following week for more poke. Same good service and food at a reasonable price.

It's only take out which was perfectly fine with me as I wanted food to take to the beach. Great options for poke and other hot items. Everyone was very friendly and poke was delicious and fresh. Very small parking lot but since it's only to go no one stays long in their spot.

Such good and fresh Poke!!! You have to go here if you are in the area. We went about 2 hours before closing on Sunday and had our order taken right away. It's a counter service type of place, casual grab and go. They let us taste the salmon poke as they were packaging it which was a nice treat. It was our first poke experience and it was soooo fresh and tasty we wanted to go back for more. They are super kind and nice and 100% must go in Hawaii!!

The fish quality at Fresh Catch is very good -- easily the one of the best we've had in Honolulu so far. However, I'm taking one star off for the limited selection of veggie sides. Our kids usually enjoy the "Chipotle-style" poke spots where they can mix and match toppings, but this place is more geared toward those who prioritize fresh fish over variety and customization. Still, a great pick if you're all about quality sashimi.

The service was disgusting. We came in at 3pm and was immediately given the dirtiest looks which we noted upon arrival. When we came up to the counter they had already put majority of the poke away (mind you they close at 5.) We proceed to ask how come there's only a couple options and the lady goes "we are closing" in an extremely rude manor. My bf goes "you close at 5 don't you?" And she makes a scuff and gives us the dirtiest look ever and proceeds to say "well this is all I have" Mind you if that was all they had no problem! We still wanted a bowl ya know? The fact is she made us feel absolutely worthless and an inconvenience. Won't ever return here period.

Hole in the wall with incredible reviews and a big following. Fresh fish, many types of poke, warm rice and something for everyone! Right off the freeway with about 8 parking spots. We loved the Shoyu, Garlic and the spicy sure has a kick!

First of all this place is soo clean and the staff is friendly which I love! We ordered fish and chips and Pastele fries. Food was fresh and hot! Pastele fries had a lot of big pieces of meat and totally worth it. So much meat that I had to use some fries from the fish and chips. I would buy it again. Fish and chips was good too but the only things that I have any criticism about is the Mac salad had very little flavor but it was still edible. Chips are seasoned fries which I don't mind but just thought I would mention it. I really like this place and I highly recommend the salmon poke even though I didn't get that today. Prices are very fair! Quality food and great staff!

First time at this new location. I used to go to the old Kaimuki location(former Pizza Hut bldg) and the Pearl City Location (formerly KFC bldg). I got the Salmon poke and Spicy Ahi Shoyu. Being a picky poke person, I'd rate the Salmon poke very good. It was fresh, buttery, and flavorful with the sweet sauce. However, the Spicy Shoyu Poke was another story. It was so spicy that I couldn't finish it and had to discard it. I've ate a lot of spicy shoyu ahi at other places before but this one was near the top of the spiciness scale. I could only taste heat not poke. Maybe this batch was a fluke? Maybe I'll ask if they let you try a sample next time. I also ordered a couple scoops of rice which was on the dry side. They have fountain drinks and a refrigerator with bottled drinks. They also sell Red Velvet Cupcakes, FC Sauces and FC T-Shirts. The walls have photos of assorted fish catches and photos of them featured on the Diners, Drive Inns & Dives show (Food Network) with Guy Fieri. The service was excellent. The 2 ladies working were very friendly and helpful. The place looks new and clean. However, there's no tables & no chairs but there's a short standup counter so it's basically a takeout place. There's a total of 8 parking stalls (including a handicap parking and couple that are on the far right side). Access is tricky since you have to enter the parking lot only from Harding Ave so I had to take a spin around the block because it's one way. Overall, pretty good minus the too Spicy Shoyu Poke and dry rice. I would go back just for the Salmon Poke.

My daughter suggested this place. We decided to try it out. Not to much parking spaces in front of the store. We were lucky to get a spot. Once inside, there's no place to sit while you wait for your order. Some interesting things to look at inside the shop while you wait for your food. I only liked the lau lau, so that's what I got which I enjoyed very much. If I decide to come back, it would definitely be for the lau lau.

Their name doesn't lie. Fresh Catch was my favorite of the 4 times I had poke during my 5 days in Oahu. I had the Hawaiian blend and it just melts in your mouth. Parking lot and the place itself is small, so it's great for picking up to go. It also happened to be Valentine's Day and they were giving away a bottle of their sauce for free. We picked one flavor and the sweet older lady helping us slyly slid us the other 2 flavors, lol! Much appreciated.

Good: Spicy Ahi Katsu - a hefty plate lunch of breaded fried tuna doused in spicy mayo with rice. Crispy and rich, super comforting. I'd say they breaded it a little too heavily, the breading was really thick and kind of pasty in the parts which did not contact the oil. Decent: Shoyu poke - not bad. It wasn't the most pearly glazed marinated poke (the ideal!) I've had, but it was fresh and had solid shoyu flavor. They get service going in an efficient manner, so know what you're getting!

Fresh fish and ono sauces -- what more can you ask for when looking for poke? The location / parking is probably the only downside to Fresh Catch. Located on Kapahulu and accessible only through a one-way. There is a parking lot, but it can be tricky to get in and out of. It's not impossible, but everyone should be ready for some tricky situations. They known for their fresh poke and plate lunches. I like the spicy Hawaiian, a spicy mayo base with limu. The shoyu salmon and Hawaiian blend ahi are also SOO good. If you're looking for something on the healthy side, the seared ahi salad is the way to go. The seasoning on the ahi is really good and comes with Chef Reno's creamy oriental dressing. Once you try that dressing paired with the seared ahi, you're gonna want to buy a bottle and put it on everything. I usually only come here for poke or the ahi salad, but they are popular for their non- fish plate lunches. From pastele and beef stew to fried garlic chicken- they have plenty of plate lunch options. They do have other locations in Kaneohe and Pearl City-- so if the parking situation/ location scares you , you can still get your fresh catch fix!

I came here for a snack, though I wish I had more time and stomach space to have eaten more. This place is like a poke market because there's nowhere to sit to eat inside. They also sell merch and bottles of their sauce. I was the only one here when I visited on a Wednesday evening. Because I came here during covid times, I wasn't allowed to sample anything, so I picked out a quarter pound of ahi limu for the road. It was tasty - simple fresh seaweed very mildly sauced with a touch of chili. Their poke seems a bit pricier than what a random bare bones market in the middle of a random street should be priced. I'd say it tasted the equivalent of other poke places I went to on this island, though they had a lot of variety.

My husband wanted to check out this place for the longest time and went to pick up some poke for us. We got 4 different flavors soy sauce/spicy soy sauce/mayo/a Hawaiian style...I love the Hawaiian style and the spicy soy sauce the best! The fishes were all fresh and diced well.

I am a usual. I am there at least once a week and would go more often if I could Regardless of the location you visit, pearl city, Kaneohe, or Honolulu (Kapahulu) you will get to try some of the best poke styles on the island. I say style because it really is the sauces/dressings that make this poke spot different from others. My favorite is the fireball which has habanero in it so be prepared for heat! I also prefer wasabi to the usual sriracha sauce spicy ahi, and if you're lucky, they might have a little creamy wasabi (as they often don't make it or don't make a lot of it!). The staff is incredibly friendly and definitely know me by now because of how often I frequent each location! They are nearly always busy but they service their patrons very quickly.

Good spot for poke right with a decently-sized parking lot for the grab and go flow of ordering food. We missed the poke bowl time window so ordered poke by the pound with a side of 2 scoops of rice to make our own bowls to go. The shoyu poke was nicely marinated, and the ahi Hawaiian blend was lightly seasoned and allowed you to really taste the flavor of the tuna (recommend if you prefer a getting more of the taste of the fish). Definitely lives up to its name for fresh-tasting fish - even felt this way after arriving an hour before closing!

Based upon the reviews, I was very excited to try this. I purchased the daily special Ahi garlic, Color me unimpressed! Fish is ridiculously dry. To the point where I'm wondering if it was frozen.

Wanted to taste some fresh poke and this was the place for it. They had A few different varieties of poke to select from. We got the soy tuna and spicy tuna over rice.

Freshness does make it a challenge... For me personally as they do close early 6pm weekdays (excl Mon is closed) so even when I do make it there's basically nothing left though they do have other menu items it's all about the poke for me here. On this visit I did decide to give them a try since I was in the area and was lucky to have a few pieces of the spicy shoyu poke I mean just a few it was less than $5 worth lol! What I do love about it is not the usual sriracha mayo base sauce but shoyu and it was actually spicy, though it's just take out only here there was a counter where there was another couple who just stood and enjoy their order I decided to just to the same. Poke is a classic way to enjoy fresh fish where there's no single recipe but they way you just enjoy it and for me simplicity is they best and the ladies here does it with so much flair and personality along with the fun decor which makes it the best catch in town. Had the garlic ahi, shoyu salmon, and lechon ahi. The garlic ahi was sooo good, and the fish absorbed the flavor so well. The salmon was fresh but not as flavorful as the ahi. The lechon ahi was crispy and juicy but a bit on the salty side imo.

Love this place but in the last year or so they must've changed cooks cuz all of a sudden choke salt on the ahi belly and no taste good. They should put no salt then we can add cuz now no can subtract. Poke was surprisingly all right.

Food was good my hubby got spicy poke but forgot to take a pic. Only complaint is the fish was super oily as soon as I bit into it a bunch of oil came gushing out lol so I didn't finish it but flavor and fries were good.
