⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ The Fresno Yosemite International Airport is a small but very relaxed and clean airport. It’s easy to navigate, and everything feels well-organized. If you’re visiting in the summer, be prepared for some intense heat outside, but inside, the air conditioning is a bit strong—bringing a light jacket or long-sleeve shirt would be a good idea to stay comfortable. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, which added to the pleasant experience. I also liked that the car rental services are conveniently located within the airport, making transportation hassle-free. That said, the airport is limited in terms of dining and shopping options. I grabbed chicken wings at one of the restaurants, but they were way too salty, so I couldn’t finish them. A bit disappointing, but at least I didn’t have to wait long for my food. Overall, it’s a straightforward and stress-free airport for a regional destination—perfect for quick trips and getting in and out with ease! More dining options and better food quality would definitely improve the experience.

You have to show up 3-4 hours early to try and catch an employee at the ticket counter!! Flight was at 7:05p , we got there about 5:10p waiting until about 8:43p to try and reschedule the flight and no one ever came. An American airline ticket agent was called to the front and no one ever came! Was told they wouldn’t be back until 10p . We came two days in a row and same situation on both days!! First 3 photos are from Saturday ,4th photo since Sunday. If you have to check bags or minors… good luck. The most empty airport yet you still have to show up 5 hours before flight to assure you make your flight and that’s a maybe

Clean and easy access. I wish all Airports were this easy to access. Rental cars are on site and easly accessible.

Google
I fly into and out of this airport a few times every year. It is a small airport but has interesting local artwork on display near the escalators, a restaurant, a Starbucks coffee shop and a gift shop.

Google
This airport feels like it’s stuck in the past, and not in a charming, nostalgic way. It looks like it’s barely surviving since World War II, with every corner showing signs of neglect. The bathrooms are in a shocking state—dirty, smelly, and poorly maintained. I don’t think they’ve been cleaned in ages. The floors throughout the airport are similarly grimy and unappealing. It’s hard to believe this is a major transportation hub when everything seems so outdated and filthy. There’s also only one bar, and I can’t say much positive about it. The food is terrible, and the drinks are overpriced for what little quality they offer. There’s no real variety, and the staff doesn’t seem too enthusiastic either. Overall, this airport feels like it’s been forgotten. It’s time for a major renovation and some serious attention to cleanliness. If you can avoid passing through here, I’d recommend it.

Google
I agree with reviewers who say this airport is so filthy it literally stinks. The sinks in the women's bathroom badly need the P-traps vacated scrubbed and sanitized. This is alao the only US airport I've been in in the last 30y where you can smell the filthy carpets while you sit in the ancient row-seats (which also have no cup holders). I've had problems here getting through TSA using my valid Colorado drivers license (despite being a TSA PreCheck member). TSA said the problem was Colorado drivers' licenses rather than even acknowledging the POSSIBILITY it might be TSA's systems. Either way, they made me feel like the problem was mine, and they couldn't care less whether their issues delayed me so much I'd miss my flight. I recognize the spot they're in; it'd be helpful if they recognized mine. I now give myself EVEN MORE time to get through this airport -- you never know what new baloney you'll have to deal with here that you don't have to at other US airports. On the up side, the airport is small, uncrowded, and close to the pickup/ dropoff lanes. On my most recent visit, the ladies at the Info Desk and those serving at the Starbucks kiosk were bright, warm, friendly, and helpful, which makes traveling so much easier. I hope whoever runs this place starts devoting a lot more resources to cleaning the carpets, sinks, and everything that sinks.

Google
I enjoy flying in & out of this airport. The people are friendly & so are the airline attendance thanks for taking care of me .

David Marshak

Google
The airport still has a small airport atmosphere. All of the folks I have had to deal with are unhurried and very pleasant. That is from gate agents to TSA and the folks at the counter to check in and check luggage. They are adding a new concourse so it will probably service more airlines and hopefully keep the ' home town' atmosphere.

Yelp
One of the best experiences I've had at an airport. Being used to the huge ATL airport I love these smaller airports. Everyone is just so much nicer and friendlier. Check in was a breeze. TSA was so nice. Met a GA native working TSA as well which was wild. Def worth spending the extra couple 100 coming straight here than nearby airports. Just wished there were more flight times that came here from ATL!

Yelp
1.13.25 I flew into Fresno Yosemite International Airport from Atlanta Georgia. I arrived around 10pm so all of the businesses were closed already. Which wasn't an issue. I made to the baggage area with no issues. It took 30 minutes for the luggage to come off the plane. I was literally like what is happening. Thank goodness for patience.

Yelp
I've been flying more frequently out of the Fresno airport and there's not much to say about this relatively small airport. I fly roundtrip to Las Vegas and it's all usually pretty smooth, however TSA could use improvements. For the most part you don't have to get here super early before your flight, but don't cut it too close and leave time for TSA if you have to go through it without precheck. There's basically a single line that everyone has to go through and depending on how crowded the airport is, it could take a while. Most of the time it's not too bad, but on my most recent trip I took a late night flight which is also when they have busy flights to Mexico. The check in counter was absurdly busy, but luckily I did not need to use it. I managed to beat the long line for TSA, but still waited maybe 15-20 minutes to get through. There's two conveyor belts you can have your bags checked on, but even if you use the smaller one on the left side, they tell you to get in line with the other side and merge lines. There's only one body scanning machine so that's what majority of people are waiting for. I got nervous last time because my bags and phone were exposed sitting there at the end of the belt while I waited to get through. I also think they could benefit from added seating in the terminal areas.

Mike A.

Yelp
They are expanding with more gates and food! Nice medium sized airport with flights to 15+ locations. TSA Pre line is usually short but the standard line can get crazy. 100+ people with one TSA agent. Some of the flights can be delayed because of fog or the fact that FAT is a low priority.

Chasity M.

Yelp
Might be the smallest airport I've ever been too. It's quaint and has a cute Yosemite exhibit

Gabi M.

Yelp
I love flying in and out of small airports and FAT is no exception... I recently spent about 24 hours in the Fresno area and I may have spent a combined 4 of those hours at the airport As others have said, this is a small airport so it's very easy to navigate. It offers free wifi, plenty of outlets for charging while you wait, a good amount of seating, clean enough bathrooms, beautiful redwood trees inside (love that), and TSA Precheck. What the airport does not offer is CLEAR or too many dining options. I did visit the Starbucks located outside of security and purchased some food from the one option inside security. Note - the food is mediocre and the service is too, but it will suffice if needed. I ubered in and out of the airport so I can't speak to rental cars, parking or taxis, but ubering was easy. Overall my experience was A-OK. Safe travels as I assume if you've read this far, you're likely traveling in or out of FAT also.

Brian P.

Yelp
Hate flying out of this airport, although it is convenient for going to the Central California National Parks or wineries. There are always long security lines here, and pre-check often gets ignored so that they can get through the normal line. The TSA officers are also not very nice here and seem to be argumentative about everything. There's also not very many outlets in the gate area, and aside from one restaurant and one newsstand, there's really nothing to eat, see, or do once you're airside.

Hemesh P.

Yelp
Beautiful airport with sequoia trees before security Easy to get in and out It's a small airport so dining options are limited Rental cars are conveniently right outside the exit

Whit D.

Yelp
This is a nice size airport; bigger than Bakersfield but a lot smaller than LAX. Not all that traffic; which is nice. Easy to maneuver around the parking lot and airport. Not big crowds which is nice. Security line moves pretty fast; friendly staff. Clean . There is a Starbucks and Peetes coffee; however not a lot of options for food. My advice grab something on the way or pack snacks . Lots of bathrooms and changing areas for babies/ little kids available. Elevators also available. This airport actually goes to quite a few destinations; check it out.

Erik P.

Yelp
Always easy to get thru security here. Parking is very reasonable as well . Nice to have an efficient airport close by.

Pamela R.

Yelp
Small and clean airport. Easy to navigate and quick walk from gates to baggage claim and rental cars. Not many shops or food options so don't expect lots of options.

Joanna M.

Yelp
Fresno is a small airport with limited options for food and services. I did enjoy the Peets'. The decor showcasing trees for Yosemite National Park is a nice touch to represent the area. There are 2 Hudsons and one other food counters. The car rental is one sight and the rental return was quick and easy.

Siobhan D.

Yelp
TSA precheck lanes are absolutely worth it here, buy it if you can. I flew through fairly quickly today but other folks are not to lucky! Long lines today. Few food options, but I appreciate Car Rental is on site and the walk to the gates is fast!!! Staff are awesome. Very helpful.

M P.

Yelp
The bad: The parking garage could have benefitted from an elevator in both sides of the structure , not just one. I guess it can't be helped but a dead mouse was in the garage as we walked to the elevator--gross. The pre check line did move but the unfriendly agent didn't give us a yellow card which meant we still had to take off our shoes, etc and we didn't want to go back and grab the yellow card --- I wasn't about to do with my toddler again. Then our gate went from upstairs to downstairs. Ugh. At gate 12 upstairs, the grossest thing I saw in that waiting area was a used condom on the floor. I freaked out and did a mental review of "did my baby step on it! ?!" The good: Easy enough to navigate The garage adds more parking but their monitoring system that is supposed to tell you how many spaces are left in each floor doesn't work well. Nice in theory though. Oh well at least there's an airport :/

Don D.

Yelp
They are a great small airport and they are a place that is easily accessible to all terminals.

C. Dyan C.

Yelp
I was not impressed by the wing of the airport that we arrived, and it was very gray and sterile, looking and had no personality, but once you leave that area and enter the baggage area with the rental car counters, it all turned around. I love the proximity of the rental car counters to the baggage claim. I was able to get my car prior to picking up my bag. The lines were not long, and they moved very quickly. I was also very pleased with my selection of rental car. My bag got beaten up big-time and has only traveled twice. Maybe they could take it easy on baggage, especially for those of us checking in our carry-ons all in all it's a very easy airport to fly into. I'm hoping it will be easy to fly out of.

Jorge D.

Yelp
Third world country's have nicer airports than Fresno The bar restaurant is no bad is terrible the food even worse on a Friday afternoon airport full and only 3 items to choose from a dry microwave burger, tacos and fries REALLY? There's to much money in this town to have a cheep ugly airport. And no happy service

Weston P.

Yelp
One of the worst airports to fly out of. Concessions are over priced in a big way. They are supposed to do market based pricing and to compare they use hotel mini bars in Fresno to determine their pricing. Dining options are horrible so since it's a monopoly for full service dining they don't seem to care in my opinion. Charging options for devices are poor compared to other airports. You will get to hear Fresno's mayor on a loop welcoming you to Fresno. Don't expect much here in terms of comfort or amenities if you get stuck with a delayed flight.

Vincent S.

Yelp
Easiest airport to navigate in the TSA is a little unorganized or maybe training needs to be done. This airport is clean and simple. Rentals cars are easy to access. Checking in and out is a breeze! I'm impressed with this little airport. I'll continue to use it.

Diana G.

Yelp
This is an international airport. It's very small for being one. They were quick to get us through security. They do have a TSA pre check line, but you just merge with the regular line and you still have to wait in line behind all the people taking off their shoes, coats, etc. They also made me take out my electronics via that line. They don't have many restaurants, but there's enough areas to find something to snack on at. They also have a bar. The car rental places are on site. Overall, it's a clean and efficient airport.

Danny C.

Yelp
This airport is super easy in and out. TSA lines are extremely short and quick and parking is a 2 minute walk to the TSA security lines. I generally download the carriers app and avoid checked luggage so utilizing this airport is super quick. Living in Bakersfield, it takes me exactly 1 hour and 32 minutes to the parking lot. I can walk in 15 minutes before boarding; board a plane and fly 50 minutes to Las Vegas(less time than driving) and up to Seattle in 2 hours flat. Definitely a quick easy airport to use from Bakersfield if you want to avoid LAX and LA traffic. The terminal is not like a super international hub. It's just your basic generic Regional hub. Definitely will be utilizing this one more often now.

Kim S.

Yelp
Been sitting in airplane for 20 minutes waiting on a gate. Airport has always been run poorly we have older people really struggling to sit like this. Could have flown in to San Francisco and drove home quicker

Stella G.

Yelp
BEST. SEXIEST. I love FAT!!!! So fun!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! So beautiful. Met my wife here. X

Marian Sinclair V.

Yelp
On Feb 10, 2024, Super Bowl weekend on my way to Las Vegas to see my 9ers play via FAT. I had the Best experience at an airport I have ever had! 1) Mostly due to the kindness and human nature of TSA. It is the people and how they treat me/us in the various awkward situations. People make the difference and FAT's TSA is by far the BEST group of people that know their job and know how to treat individuals with courtesy, flexibility and kindness! 2) I HAVE NEVER HAD CLEANER SOCKS AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE...Unfortunately, I had to run to find my friend ahead of me and leave my carry-on and shoes at TSA. To my disbelief, she made it to the gate already! In my trek, I searched 2 bathrooms and ran up the stairs, pulled a hamstring on the way, just to turn around and run back to TSA before my flight boarded. Alas, I accidentally ran right out the exit and needed to go back in TSA's entrance! The TSA agent kindly let me (sock-footed, no ID or Boarding Pass) pass in front of the security line, then the scanning TSA agents allowed me to cut in front of their line to get thru the scan, just to return to my luggage, purse and shoes! Running low on time, I told the TSA agent to confiscate the "pink-rhinestone" flask (give it to his girl friend?). He offered me to go back out of security and just pour some of the "liquid" out (he can tell it was over 3oz). He never once opened it or asked what was in it? My intention was to pack it with my checked luggage. I don't know how it ended up in my carry-on?? With all that running and in bathrooms!! My socks were flawless!! I can't get that in my own house!! WOW ! FAT! Clean Clean Clean! GOTTA LOVE THAT !

Craig T.

Yelp
Well of course flew into here so I could go check out Yosemite National park. This airport looked newer and up to date. Plenty of places to plug in to re charge. Great places to grab a bite to eat.

Megan B.

Yelp
Nice, simple airport. easy to navigate with tons of overhead signs. plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. It also offers multiple rental car options. Friendly staff & great customer service.

Fred T.

Yelp
So why 5 stars? The simple fact is that for a AvGeek the Fresno Air Terminal, was the epicenter of the aviation world for 3 days in September............ Why? The F-117 Nighthawk which the United States Air Force retired years ago is flying again. In this case the Nighthawks were there to train with the co-located 144th Fighter Wing of the California Air National Guard. The 144th flies the F-15C. For an AvGeek this was the flying equivalent of a unicorn. I never thought I would see one fly again so it was quite a thrill

Dee B.

Yelp
Worst airport I have been to by far. The security is an absolute joke, plan to wait at least 45 minutes. You can opt out of the security photo and should do so, it would speed things up. The gates always change last minute and they don't update the screens. I almost missed my flight because the gate was WRONG on the screen. How hard is it to update a screen? On my incoming flight they changed the gate last minute as well as my departing flight and we had to sit on the runway for 20 minutes waiting. For such a small airport they are incredibly unorganized.

Jen M.

Yelp
I've seen better... I've also seen far worse. Just as a heads up, if you're hungry, I HIGHLY suggest eating BEFORE you arrive to this airport, because to say your dining options are limited is a gross understatement.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
FAT is a smaller airport. When we disembarked the airport, they had the passengers walk down a ramp instead of your normal gate that you walk out of. Also there were just two luggage carousels, so finding your luggage was no problem.

Jennafer L.

Yelp
Very disappointing Fresno, Ca. I sat at the bar in the Fresno Yosemite Airport to have lunch and I will never go back there again. First of all I couldn't order what I wanted because they were out of everything and as I was eating, a cockroach climbed across my hand and another came running towards my plate of food! I immediately got out of my chair and left. The bartender and his service was great, but sorry, the experience was one I will never forget. Terrible, don't go there because the coach roaches seem to come attack you for your food. Two thumbs down Fresno, Ca.

Mark M.

Yelp
The young man at counter was very courteous. At first I was a bit taken back when I asked for sugar and they didnt have any. Like all airports coffee was double the price so I was suprised they were out. Turns out the manager located the sugar and proceeded to walk the airport to find me and give me the sugar! Wow uncommon service. Kudos to the manager...

Roylinda L.

Yelp
I wasn't impressed the quality of the food! I went on a Sunday had the brunch! The food didn't please me at all. If you want quantity then this maybe right for you.

Brenda P.

Yelp
Small airport. Loved it. It was easy to find your way around. Everything looked clean.

Carlos Reyes ..

Yelp
Small airport, overall not to bad. Would like to see restaurants and stores added for when people need a bite or need to purchase clothing of some sort

Will N.

Yelp
Crappy just like every airport. The trees are a nice touch. Some workers are friendly.

Andre E.

Yelp
Horrible airport...Horrible TSA checkpoint...men's restroom is located only on lower level but still has feminine products in the room with no urinals. It apparently use to be a women's restroom but that is no longer the case. TSA is completely unorganized for a international Airport. There were at least 4 TSA agents walking around doing nothing while only 1 TSA agent was checking IDs. Passengers missed flights or barely made their flights because of the massive delays they have here at the security checkpoint. Here's the real problem though.. this airport only has one terminal 4 lanes plus a TSA pre checkpoint and little to no serious places to dine. It should not take forever and a day to move passengers within this airport even if there are staffing shortages. I don't know how this airport is classified as an "international airport " but trust me it doesn't meet those standards. Eat, Drink, and Be Merry, my Friends!!!

Steve C.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite airport of all! It is so efficient and fast to terminals and fast to exit. I have traveled much of the world and this little airport is the best. Good job FAT!

Kellan K.

Yelp
this airport is so slow. my flight got delayed then cancelled and then my bags have an hour wait to get them. Now I can't make my next flight. this is the worst don't go here ever. 0 out of 10 stars.

Rodrigo T.

Yelp
If youre flying into or out of here. You're propably, more than likely, almost positively going to be doing some #REI1440Project thing. Because me and the hubby chose this airport as the closest thing to there. It's a pretty cute airport,, not like all the scary giants like LAX or SFO. It basically serves as your point of departure or arrival if you are coming or going from Fresno. I do dig the decor with the big giant trees, because the draw in flying to here is pretty much going to the middle of nowhere, walking around aimlessly looking at trees and mountain tops. Remember, just like me and everybody else. Get here early enough to cover the "Just in case" stuff. None of the TSA, Airport Employees or Airline Employees woke up today just to screw your day up. If you hate going through here, you can always get on your car and drive. Also,, big major Earth Friendly Points for having the powerful hand dryers. Thank you FAT airport for taking care of our planet. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!!!

Brady B.

Yelp
Terrible airport and even worse city to visit. The signs everywhere here are clearly not marked appropriately, or staff does not know the difference between priority and regular members. Going through security was also a nightmare as well because the signs contradicted themselves. The screen said keep laptops in bag which I did, and when my bag went through my laptop got searched? Will not be coming back here willingly.

Jacques I.

Yelp
I love small, regional airports. I was happy to learn that the closest airport to Yosemite National Park, our final destination was the Fresno Yosemite International Airport which is right smack in the middle of Fresno. We had no issues here, and it was an easy, breezy process, flying in and out of here. The airport is small, so navigating around here is easy. Once we landed, we were able to quickly find where the rental cars section was. The airport was clean and not busy, even on a Saturday. I loved that there were drinking stations everywhere where you could refill your reusable water bottle. This really should be everywhere. Because this is a small airport that doesn't seem busy, TSA lines went smoothly. No need to get here two hours to you gate before departure. However, because it's a small airport, don't come here looking for a five-star restaurant. Airport food is airport food. But the airport is right in town, so eat elsewhere! I'm glad we were able to fly into Fresno from Seattle for our Yosemite National Park weekend. For anyone visiting the park, I recommend flying into this airport. It's clean, easy to navigate around and you'll be in and out swiftly.

Had R.

Yelp
Coolest little airport I have seen in a long time. 4 mins from plane to luggage carousel... and I passed 2 starbucks! They have life size model sequoias in the building and just the most friendliest staff. Nicely decorated with trees, photos and John Deer tractors. Tip, if you are flying here. Try and avoid landing/taking off between 12-1. This is their busiest hour. Rest of the times the place is dead!

Devin F.

Yelp
Solid selection of flights out of and into Fresno. Inside the airport is pretty nice but small with only one terminal. Food at the restaurant is alright but they've got a Starbucks if you want something simple.

Mike V.

Yelp
This is a very small airport and almost ridiculous to call it an international airport at that, but whatever. I used to live in Fresno and have flown in and out of this airport many times, but this was the first time in 3 years. The airport is nice and clean, however the only real shops and food locations are up stairs at the very end of the terminal where most of the flights arrive and leave from. There is a book/magazine shop, a Starbucks, and 1 or 2 other little shops. Also the baggage area is very small, but the good thing is that your bags usually get to you pretty quickly.

Dana H.

Yelp
Subpar....what a sorry ASS excuse for an "international airport" service for passengers are so "inside the box" can you please hire employees that help people instead make their experience miserable!!! Managers need to step up and oversee their employees and accommodate their customers....no wonder we have $hi! Flights....come on now it's not that hard to run a class A terminal

Karlo G.

Yelp
This small airport is clean and easy to navigate. The departure hall is literally one long hallway and there's ample gate seating. I do like the staggered arrival times of flights which means less crowding. There's not much in shops and food options, but they do have a bar by Gate 12, Hudson Store, and Starbucks. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal and power sockets are available in selected seating locations. Ticketing lines are non-existent. The TSA lines can be a gamble especially when they close the PRE Check lane. There was only lane open at the time of my visit and the PRE Check was not available. The line did take some time to move through. Main lobby area has wonderful Sequoia pillars integrated into the support beams. Definitely we'll-done and uniquely California. This airport is easy to arrive and depart. Perhaps opening at least 2 TSA lines during peak times will help with the lines.

Denny M.

Yelp
Intl airport that still feels personal. Drop offs are easy. Pick up has a waiting area so you can be positioned to pull up, pick up your person and drive away. Check-in is just inside the entry doors, and security check is usually fast. Give yourself time to find parking, especially in the evening/night when Intl flights are busy. Central Valley Honor Flight flies selected Veterans to DC and back occasionally with a HUGE following, and a full parking lot. Plan ahead! There is a new parking structure that helps a lot.

Roy M.

Yelp
They are not set up to handle baggage at the baggage pickup. Airlines are not identified. They do not have a 3-5 foot distance marked on the floor for people to wait behind as we await our bags, therefore it's is very difficult to get to one's own bag: Poor by design.
