This trip was a couples trip of two couples. To be honest, all of us were a little skeptical of what we have booked. However, the experience was absolutely perfect. Although the rooms were quite small, it was spacious enough to not bother you one way or the other. The bed was extra comfortable and rooms were quiet. We had to report one issue in one of your rooms and within an hour that issue was completely fixed. If that is not excellent service I don't know what is.|The hotel also offered locked storage for luggage as well as gym and sauna without extra cost.||On paper, or in this case a map, the location did not seem that good, but in practice it couldn't have been better. There is an entrance to T-Centralen and Stockholm City right on the corner of the building. It was super easy to move around in the city.||The breakfast was served in the restaurant nextdoor. The restaurant itself is quite small. That is not exactly up to the hotel itself to dictate but I wish the seating was more organized. There should really be someone who points you to a table to avoid those unnecessary empty places.||A huge shoutout to the ladies at the front desk! You made our stay pleasant and easy.

We were given a warm welcome by the lovely staff at reception. If you arrive at Stockholm Arlanda, I'd recommend taking the Arlanda Express train as the hotel is across the road. The rooms were clean and very nicely furnished, with a kettle, tea, coffee and milk in the mini-fridge. The bathroom had very good quality hair/body wash, conditioner and body lotion. Breakfast was regularly replenished and we enjoyed everything on offer, both hot and cold. The reception staff were very helpful in giving directions to places of interest and advised taking the only tram in Stockholm (number 7) to the museums nearby. I'd certainly stay again!

From the check in experience to checking out, everything about our 5 night stay was excellent. The breakfast buffet had great variety and was well stocked so nothing was ever empty. We booked two superior plus rooms (one for our three girls and one for us) both on the sixth floor, and they did not disappoint. The only thing to be aware of is that the rooms are not air conditioned but there were two dancing each. We stayed during some very warm weather but the rooms cooled down in the evening with the windows open for a few hours. Location was great and we will definitely book this hotel again - a very charming space.

5 nights from 1/7/25. 3 adults. Superior room with balcony in location as requested. All staff speak excellent english. Room and Hotel very high standard of cleanliness. Quiet despite city centre location. About 150 metres from the train station exit. Breakfasts are comprehensive. Had dinner one night in the restuarant which was of a high standard but limited if you eat a plant based diet.|We would definately stay here again and I would recommend this Hotel for a base for city centre exploration, close to tram, rail, underground and bus links, Very easy for the first time visitor.

Stay away. Tiny rooms, no air conditioning, broken blinds on the window, toilet was soiled and clearly never cleaned after the last guest, no power plugs accessible, room filled with creepy teddy bears. This place is absolutely overpriced and and should not be rated as high as it is.

The benefit of this hotel is being near the train station. Very easy to get from the airport to here and after an international flight that was helpful. The breakfast was good and as others said, busy. The staff was nice and housekeeping service was good. One drawback is no air conditioning. I know it is probably rarely needed but it was in the 80s+ F during our visit and the rooms were HOT. They had some cooling fans in the rooms and it was still hot at night and no good air flow. Easy to get around town using the subway however if we were to come back probably would stay in the old town area or where there is more activity.

Booked the Freys Hotel as a cheaper, more centrally located alternative to more expensive options in the area. We should have spent the extra money. First the positives: The location is excellent, and the hotel offers rooms that face an inner courtyard for those that do not wish to hear street noise. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful and was able to make recommendations for restaurants in the area. (The recommendation for Bistro Bisteck was great, as it was located less than 100 meters from the hotel and the food was amazing.) That's where the positives end. The negatives: The room was incredibly small and definitely overdue for a remodeling. The hotel is not suited for families; especially those with small children. Singles or couples would be fine. But even then, there was almost no storage space for clothes. The 40 centimeters we had between the bed and the wall-mounted television lent to a few bumped shoulders or bruised ribs while walking by. The room was definitely NOT 16 square meters, as advertised. Unless, of course, they include the bathroom. As for the bathroom, it definitely needs renovation. One should not have to push swinging, improvised shower doors back simply to use the toilet. After using the shower, the entire bathroom floor was wet. Because the bathroom did not have a window, the air circulation ran constantly, and not only when the bathroom was being used. This made it difficult to sleep at night. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked and had quite a bit to offer. However, the breakfast staff was often not accommodating. When we tried to seat ourselves with our small child, we were asked to move to another location and given, quite honestly, lame and pathetic excuses as to why our child could not sit at a particular table. The worst was that she would be in the way of an emergency exit when there were three other individuals seated closer to the exit than she was. Another member of the breakfast staff implied that she would be in the way of others, when her chair was clearly not blocking anyone. And another stated that we would place our child in danger if we insisted on having the highchair where we wanted it. (Outrageous!) It became obvious to me that the individuals in question were trying to place us in another dining area so that they could engage in the longtime and very widespread practice of "shutting down" dining areas as mealtimes come to an end so that they could begin cleaning up and preparing for the next service as quickly as possible. This is a common food service practice, which I completely understand. HOWEVER, please be honest with your customers if you are doing this. A simple "We would appreciate it if we could seat you elsewhere so that we can begin shutting this area down." would suffice. Overall, the hotel is okay for singles or couples wanting a centrally located place to stay in Stockholm. Definitely not for families. Our mistake was waiting until the last minute to book and not having other hotel options in the area that would better meet our needs. That's on us.

Google
Its location was ideal, just minutes from Stockholm's central station, with an express train from the airport requiring only 18 minutes. It was conveniently close to central shops and restaurants. The service and hospitality were excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was lovely, offering a wide variety of food. The sauna and gym were available for free for one hour upon booking.

Yelp
Quaint hotel in the hustle bustle of the central station area. Took me a second to find it but once you do your good !! Great old staple place that's well maintained. Nice front desk service. My room was bigger than I thought it would have been. Nice touches in room . Interesting wallpaper, cute teddy bear on bed, loved the classic old time feel but still clean and new. The bathroom was nice but a little small . Big and tall may have an issue. Shower was definitely small. Liked the heated towel rack though ! Breakfast was included but I didn't get to it as my flight leaving was early and it started after I left. Strange ironing room on another floor as no irons in room. I mean it was there and it served its purpose but you do have to find it! Never seen a room for it before! They give you actual keys and not cards for the doors which was fine except they were big and bulky. My door also required jimmying to open sometimes. Still was a nice stay and served my location needs well. Close to walk to restaurants and the trains. They also had a Belgian restaurant attached to it. Looked busy ! Good for the price I paid Great location.

Yelp
The hotel lies. I prepaid a room reservation. My trip to Stockholm was canceled by the airline. I contacted Freys hotel 2 days before my reservation date and asked for a refund. They simply told me they were unable to cancel or modify my reservation. They also said my reservation was non-refundable. This cancelation was due to the SAS strike and was no fault of my own. They would even consider giving me a partial refund. STAY AWAY!

Yelp
Lovely hotel full of old-world charm. Small, but very comfortable rooms. Excellent beds and pillows! Our view was amazing and the balcony was well worth the extra money. It was a fairly private, big balcony with a table and chairs. The free breakfast buffet was delicious! Everything was so fresh and they had a huge variety of items. Downsides: the shower is very small, and no A/C, but overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Yelp
This place is great. Excellent location, a block from train station and a 15min walk to Gamla Stan for shops and restaurants. Very clean and super friendly staff. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the breakfast is delicious. Without a doubt I'd stay here again and will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Stockholm.

Yelp
Nice convenient choice near the Arlanda Express and Central Station. The room is clean, comfortable, and cutely decorated. The bathroom in standard room is a bit small, but the shower is perfectly hot and has good water pressure. Free wifi, good breakfast buffet, and comfy bed. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The best hotel stay we have had in years. The staff always went above and beyond. The breakfast was great and much more than we expected. The best nights sleep we've had in a hotel for a long time! Thank you Freys!! I can't recommend this hotel enough. I'd advise everyone visiting Stockholm to stay here!

Yelp
The women who work the front desk are so helpful and kind. They should win an award for their customer service. The hotel was very quiet, which I appreciated. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and impressive with organic and nondairy alternatives. A huge variety of delicious items. My only criticism is there was no herbal tea, which seemed surprising.

Yelp
This is an excellently located reasonably priced friendly well maintained hotel that I will always check when I make plans to come to Stockholm. Getting There It could not be easier. When you leave Arlanda airport look for the Arlanda Express Train sign, follow it to the unbelievably long down escalator, which takes you right to the train track platform. Twenty-five minutes later walk out the door of the Central Train Station, walk straight for two minutes and you will see the huge Frey Hotel sign. I would highly recommend this route because you will be in your room within an hour after your flight touches down in Stockholm. The Hotel The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and fast. Check-in took about three minutes. We presented our passport, was offered a map, given directions to "Old Town" and opened our hotel room door minutes later. I notice that a lot of the previous reviews mentioned that the rooms were small. Obviously, room size depends on your previous travels but from my experience our standard single room with extra bed was just fine for two people. The room contained two single beds side-by-side, the sleeping area was eleven feet by twelve feet, the bathroom was six feet by six feet, and the room contained a hot pot, small minibar, small closet area, and a reading desk. The flat screen 32-inch television was a welcomed surprise because it had England's Sky News, Aljazeera, and a host of English speaking channels. The Internet was easy to access and surprisingly fast. The toiletries were modest and I would recommend bringing toilet paper because the hotel uses the skimpy single-ply rough stuff! The breakfast was outstanding. The adjoining restaurant serves up a great breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, different breads, fruit and juice. Breakfast is served at 7:30 am and I would advise you to get there at the opening bell before the "folks who hold the bread loaf with their hands instead of the provided towels" show up. Suffice it to say, I noticed a lot of folks with poor buffet manners at work and we were happy that we showed up at 7:25! Location If location is everything then you cannot select a better hotel. It is close to the Central Station, minutes away from the mall and excellent shopping, walking distance to "Old Town" and bars, pubs and restaurants are all around.

Yelp
Our experience here was great. Although our particular room was small (that's what we reserved, so no surprise), it was extremely clean and exceptionally functional. The location from the Arlanda Express train was ideal!! A verrrrry easy walk, even with our luggage. Last but not least, the hotel front desk staff (of which we encountered probably five different people at all hours of the day) were extremely friendly, cheerful, and helpful.

Yelp
Not knowing much about Swedish hotels, I was unsure of where and how to book my stay in Stockholm. I've got to say, I could not be more happy with my choice of Freys Hotel. This place was amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the location was extremely convenient, the food in the restaurant was delicious (we had the free breakfast and paid for an exquisite dinner on the patio), and the overall atmosphere and decor was chic and fun. We especially loved our room, which had everything we could ask for an had a beautiful balcony. I can't think of a single thing that would need improvement. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone traveling to Stockholm. Thanks, Freys Hotel, for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
Small but very comfortable rooms - only reason not 5 star Wide selection of buffet items for breakfast Will return -very happy Great proximity to train via pedestrian mall and crossings
