The server was super cool and chill. She had my order taken quickly and out asap. The sandwich was actually really tasty, with lots of toppings. The bread was light, not too crunchy but just right. The water with mint was refreshing. Great place to grab a sandwich for lunch and hang by Canal St. Martin. I paid 19 Euro for my order.

We really enjoyed the sandwich’s here. Bread was nice and toasty and filled with goodness. Salad was fresh, seasoned chips were tasty, coleslaw refreshingly crunchy, and the peach iced tea really topped off an excellent lunch. The server was also very friendly.

Very average sandwich unfortunately! Service was good and a nice cute place! The fries were great and the highlight but we had high expectations based on the reviews. The Aztec sandwiche was really bland even though it had a lot of ingredients. It needed more salt or something hot or some sort of sauce

Super friendly staff although they are overwhelmed they serve with smile and are helpful. The shrimps club sandwich was average too saucy i could not hold it to eat maybe i should have taken the chicken one . They were sold out of smocked salmon one . I added chips on the side . Had a cider since no rose wine glass was available. The red fruits panna cotta was a delight . The iced coffee was refreshing and good . Too bad no fries are served … They have a nice outdoor terrace and the inside area by the canal has a nice view . Pricing is reasonable. Bon appétit.

Google
Great cute little restaurant, amazing croque monsieur and pain perdu. Staff is lovely and fast service, we’ll worth a detour. The room is small but really well lit and decorated. Will be coming back, even all the way from Neuilly!

I liked the cocktail-bar style of music and the aesthetics. The chairs are wooden but surprisingly not too painful on the backside. The man who was working was really friendly. He was happy to help me practice my French but he seemed to be able to speak English. Onto the food. I order le Titi which was nice! It's the most basic so I'm sure the other options are even richer and interesting. I also ordered a French toast with maple syrup, which, admittedly, I wasn't a huge fan of. Overall, nice food, great vibes and warm service.

Google
Awesome Croque Monsieur! We went for the classic version which had really thick cuts of ham which brought the taste through, the cheese was just the right amount and the bread was toasted perfectly. It was served with a side salad and a slice of beetroot which really helped and aided to balance the sharpness of the cheese and cut through the richness.

My fiancée and me went here for lunch/breakfast on Friday noon. The restaurant had both inside and outside seating available. They specialize in crocque monsieur and they are really good at it. It's a healthier version that is not drowned in cheese but it tastes amazing. There is also a healthy portion of salad coming with it. The homemade lemonade is really good too. The waiter was very friendly helped translate the parts of menu we didn't understand. I would definitely go here again.

Yelp
Amazing everything! Drinks, food, service, environment were all outstanding. You can order from the table, super convenient! Best aperol spritz in paris

Yelp
It's a cute little sandwich shop. I love the decor and the sandwiches were delicious. I had Le Mam Zelle Five-grain bread, ham cooked in cloth, mornay béchamel, emmental grand cru, soft-boiled egg. I added truffle cream. But the real star was French toast with the Chantilly crème. Absolutely delicious!! With caramelized sugars and butter.

Yelp
I stumbled up this spot as I was aimlessly exploring the area. There wasn't much people sitting indoors because it seemed like everyone wanted to sit outside. I got a table by the window (to get fresh air) and people watch. The staff here is very nice and super welcoming. Fast service. Affordable price. I got the mam'zelle - 5 grain bread ham cooked in cloth, monay bechamel, emmental cheese, soft boiled egg and apple juice. The execution of the Croque monsieur was great. The egg was runny and bread was lightly toasted. All the flavors balanced out very well. I really enjoyed my French ham & cheese sandwich. Recommend!

Yelp
First time trying a croque monsieur and it was good. Easy to order at the table and service was great. The food itself was just alright, nothing too spectacular, but I appreciated the many takes on the classic sandwich.

Yelp
Fantastic place in Paris. If you love croque Monsieur this is the place to go! It's absolutely delicious! The customer service is amazing even though my French is not the best they were great! The vibe is modern and chill. For the record, really nice washroom

Yelp
My fiancé and I went to Fric Frac per the recommendation of food vloggers that we love to watch on YouTube. This restaurant did not disappoint! We've had Croque monsieur a few times on our trip to Paris already, but we found that Fric Frac offered way more unique sandwiches that reimagined the classic breakfast dish. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the house chips to share, and it came with a side of cucumber salad in creme fraiche. Both were great. I got Le Bandidito vegetarian, and it was amazing. The bread was toasted nicely, so it had a good crunch to it but held together well. The combo of goat cheese and mozzarella with the various veggies made for a filling sandwich. I was stuffed after I finished it. My fiancé ordered the mam'zelle, which was Fric Frac's take on a croque madame. He also ordered it with truffle sauce, and that's the way you get it done! I had some of the truffle sauce, and it was absolutely delightful. Love the earthy taste of truffle, but it wasn't overpowering.

Yelp
This place is a must for anyone who wants to expand their croque horizons past the standard but especially vegetarians because they have a few on the menu. It's conveniently located next to the canal st.martin if you're in the neighborhood doing touristy shit. It's on the smaller size but there were plenty of tables available for an early lunch. The server was super helpful in explaining the concept and steering us in the right direction. We had recently been to a delicious bakery nearby, trying to squeeze every last ounce of Parisian delicacies in during our short stay, so we decided to split one of their croquets with eggplant, arugula, tomatoes, mozz and typically ham but it was omitted in the vegetarian version we ordered. The bread was seedy and was a perfect vehicle for the delicious flavors provided by this Sammie. They also served it with the most adorable little salad that definitely made me feel better about myself. They have many many other croque varieties including a croque of the month and I can only imagine how good some of the naughty ones are.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly service. Solid choice for lunch. I've eaten here several times now, and will be back again.

Yelp
We walked in for lunch today and were greeted very kindly by, I think the owner, but I'm not sure. All of the staff were very attentive, very nice and helpful. The service was great, and all of the food that we had was very delicious. The sandwiches, although different from other croque monsieurs we've had, were outstanding. And the French toast with Nutella was unbelievably good!! Definitely recommend this restaurant & would definitely return!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night with no reservations. I think they usually only accept reservations so we got lucky! The server and manager (I think) were very kind in helping us with the menu and helping connect us to the WiFi so we can order. The homemade lemonade was carbonated but was delicious. We also got the Le Titi and Lemam'zelle, and both were delicious!! It's definitely a little small inside but very personal with kind workers. Highly recommend coming with a reservation!

Yelp
We visited Fric Frac based off a recommendation from our Marais food tour guide. I love croque monsieur in the states and really wanted to try an authentic one in Paris, so we went for that reason. While we did enjoy our food - croque monsieur, frites, and cider - it was not a traditional croque monsieur with the bechamel and cheese on top, so I was a bit disappointed. The server was nice and attentive and the restaurant itself was decorated in a very hip way! We visited the location in the 18th arr near Sacre Coeur.

Yelp
A perfect lunch -the food was fresh and delicious, the recommended wine was crisp and refreshing, the service was friendly and not condescending at all to my limited French -all with a view of Canal St-Martin.

Yelp
Food is pretty good, basically a toasted sandwich. I had the Viking which consisted of black bread, smoked salmon and pickled veggies. Good choice for lunch. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Very tasty and nice environment! The restaurant was well decorated inside, and the food arrived quickly. The price was decent for Paris and for the food. I had the croque mam'zelle, which was very tasty. Loved getting to try the traditional French dish here!

Yelp
It is fine. All they had is croque monsieur. It was a good no thrills lunch. Not very charming but fine.

Yelp
France is known for its signature take on the grilled cheese sandwich called a Croque Monsieur. While walking along the Canal Saint-Martin in the 11th arrondissement, we happened upon Fric-Frac and were immediately excited to try gourmet croque monsieurs. Fric-Frac's interior is a cozy cafe space with soft Edison lighting and chill music playing in the background. We arrived during a lull in the day, so there wasn't a problem finding a spot to sit nor was it super loud. This was perfect for us having just walked the entire canal and wanting to escape the hustle of Paris. The staff were quick to acknowledge us and kindly provided menus en anglais er aussi en français. Their croques are not your typical ham and cheese though, but rather include more unique ingredient combinations like Thai basil and shiitake mushrooms or salmon and Granny Smith apples all topped with the classic béchamel Mornay sauce to bring it back to the tri croque. We decided upon L'Aztèque, a Latin version of the croque with marinated chicken, red beans, smoked cheese, and avocados. It was different from the traditional croque, but excellent nonetheless. The bread they serve their sandwiches on is a hearty whole wheat with sesame seeds! We also nabbed a side of cabbage slaw, which was dressed nicely with a light dill aïoli. I loved how fresh and crisp the slaw was compared to the sickeningly sweet cole slaw I am all too familiar with from the USA. It was almost like a cabbage salad rather than a slaw. We topped our lunch off with an espresso and some of the Pain Perdu -- a serving of French toast with a creamy layer of custard. It was a fantastic shared meal that hit the spot perfectly. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors paired well. I may take some inspiration from Fric Frac's menu and doctor-up my own grilled cheese sandwiches in the future.

Yelp
Sandwich lovers who happen to be in Paris: Meet Fric-Frac. Fric-Frac is a smaller-sized restaurant that offers hip, healthy and mouthwatering versions of a Croque Monsieur. It only took me two months of living down the street to venture over to this sammie shop. And yes, I'm extremely embarrassed that I was living in the dark for that long. With creative flavor combinations and a reasonable price range, this place is now my go-to. Not to mention, this place is in a perfect location -- situated right in front of the peaceful Canal Saint-Martin. My ideal Sunday? Head over to this place and pick up a sandwich for a quaint picnic alongside the canal. My go-to is the Le Winnie, a vegetarian godsend featuring goat cheese, lavender honey and roasted nuts. The staff is beyond friendly, and this is coming from the perspective of a college student who doesn't speak a lick of French. Pro tip: The take out menu features the same menu items as the regular dine-in menu, however, it is cheaper (for whatever crazy reason) to order from the take-away one.

Yelp
Came along the way to the Latin Quarter to get a quick bite. Took about an hour to get my order. Would not recommend to anyone that's not willing to wait that long.

Yelp
The place is cute, and the people who work there are very nice - but the food is mediocre at best

Yelp
Had the Mam'zelle and thought it was overly toasted, too greasy, and too sweet. Not well balanced at all. Service was very slow. Might come back to try something more traditional (ham/cheese/egg).

Yelp
The absolute best place to enjoy a croque-monsieur! The staff was very very nice & greeted us in French but then switched to English when he knew we didn't speak French. They then offered us an English menu which really really helped! The waiter then explained to us what croque-monsieurs are all about and how to order as well as what is what on the menu. My favorite little spot in Paris so far!

Yelp
Wonderful cute little place overlooking the canal. Specialising in Croque Monsieur (amazing French toasted cheese sandwiches), Fric Frac has added bohemian chic with ingredients such as chicken and spiced avocado (magnifique) or more traditional with egg (tres bien). Wonderful coffee and great for brunch if you want a change from the standard fare.

Yelp
Great place. Found it on thefork and made me go there to try the sandwiches. I booked a table, when we arrived our reservation was there, we were welcomed by a very nice girl that for our surprise we found she was Brazilian, so we could talk in Portuguese. I order "the mise au vert" I just can say that it was great, it's their vegetarian sandwich, I also order the chips artisanales, but I thought it was other thing, it's chips not homemade. If I will come back? Yes for sure.

Yelp
This was an outstanding restaurant. Small and inviting with excellent service. The Le Titi melted in our mouth and the taste was overwhelming. We finished our meal with homemade French toast that was to die for. Highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Just had a wonderful lunch at Fric Frac - definitely one of the best meals we've had in Paris. Simple yet delicious. My boyfriend and I got the Mam'zelle and the Aztec and split them. So good and very reasonably priced. The place is also cute (right next to the Canal St. Martin) and our server could not have been nicer. Would definitely recommend this place to others and plan to be back soon!

Yelp
Came here promptly at noon for lunch. My husband had "Le Titi" sandwich and I had an Italian sandwich which was the daily special. Both were superb and came with a basic green salad with vinaigrette. The waiter was very friendly and provided an English menu after we struggled with our French. I would highly recommend this venue for lunch. Miam-miam!

Yelp
We were recommended the canal area for dinner while visiting Paris. We stumbled upon Fric-Frac and fell in love with the menu and the wonderful customer service that Quinton (sp?) provided. It was EXCELLENT customer service, recommendations, and friendly, local atmosphere. We couldn't have enjoyed our visit more. Thank you so much!!!! 5 stars! Would make this a staple every visit. Wonderful area.
