Friðheimar is a unique and memorable stop, centered around their famous tomato dishes. The tomato soup with fresh-baked bread was excellent—and since it’s unlimited, it’s hard to beat! Coffee and tea are included as well, with the bonus option of taking a to-go cup. We were looking forward to trying the mussels, though unfortunately they were out that day. Still, the tomato beer was a fun and tasty surprise. Reservations are recommended, though we noticed some walk-ins were seated outside on the terrace. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a simple yet delicious meal in a very special setting.

This place is a brilliant showcase of how something as simple as a tomato can build an innovative and successful business. The menu is entirely plant-based, yet full of flavor. While the prices are on the higher side compared to the portions and quality, it’s an experience I’d still recommend to anyone exploring Iceland.

It’s a cool place, but eating in the greenhouse was not the cool experience I thought it would be based on other reviews. It was hectic and loud, the servers did their best but were rushed off their feet, and, most importantly, the food wasn’t worth the prices, compared to other amazing restaurants we went to on this trip. With the exception of the soup and bread (which were delicious), the dishes were under-seasoned and bland. The cheesecake was cute but not great. I do not recommend the muscles.

One of the most unique and memorable dining experiences we had in Iceland! The tomato soup with all kinds of fresh breads was absolutely delicious, and everything on the menu is made with tomatoes grown right there in the greenhouse. The setting is beautiful and the concept is so special. Super recommendable—not just a meal, but a whole experience!

What an experience ! Such a unique and Beautiful spot ! The tomatoes in the vines all around us was so magical . We didn’t make Reservations but you can walk up and get your tomato soup . The menu is smaller but you’re there for the soup 🍜 it’s sooooo delicious and it comes with the bread . Honestly the coffee is delicious but the cheesecake with tomato jam stole the show. So creamy and delicious 🤤 favorite spot in Iceland hands down .

Really good but it is just soup. Supplement your meal with a kabob. We had the seafood one, which was cooked to perfection. Our chicken kabob was a bit dry. Fresh basil sits on your table for you to cut and add to your soup. Pricey for what you’re getting (hence 4/5 stars), but quite the unforgettable experience.

Absolutely unique place. I tried tomato soup, burrata with tomatoes and tomato bier - loved it all. Wonderful bread. Our group had little misunderstanding regarding our order but it didn't change our overall amazement with the place. Mind that it's not a particularly economic food option money-wize but it's definitely worth the price.

Amazing food and environment! A MUST do when in Iceland! We had a variety of the menu items, seafood skewers, pasta, tortilla pizzas, and the tomato ice cream dessert which was awesome! The bread and tomato soup is excellent and super fresh, and the cucumber salsa is something I will never forget (totally awesome 👍🏼), and plan to try making at home.
